Garlic parm wings - 10 pieces- very ugly looking
    Sanny C.

It been so long since I had Johnny Rockets. The first time was dine in at another location. It was a good experience. I was hesitant to order wings here. Not sure why. However, I had a deal for wings so decided to order for pick up. The packaging was good. We were hoping the wings would be good. I had a disgusting face when I opened the box. Must be some cheap wings or old wings. I dunno. I tried some. The garlic parm tasted different from normal wings places. It wasn't bad but for sure ain't the best. The lemon pepper wings were not good at all. Wings were somewhat juicy and didn't taste old. Very little sauces in both boxes. We were only given one bag of blue cheese. We requested for ranch. Anyways...these wings looked very unappetizing. We didn't finish. I will definitely NOT return.

Sign says they close at 7:30pm. It's 7:07. Why are they close. No one here. Already cleaned and closed for the night. So disappointed. Really wanted a burger

The chilly dog was made really well. The cook was super friendly and did a great job.

Ugh. I don't like to write negative posts. But this place was disappointing. I was randomly craving a shake and had gone next door to pick up ramen for lunch the next day. I came here and ordered a shake and a hotdog. The employee was glued to his phone, young kid. HE was so checked out, the cook noticed and came for my order. The cook was waaay friendlier than the actual dude running the register. I gave him my order and then the kid walked over to me after this. He rang me up while still watching something on his phone. He started my shake and halfway through, I noticed how dirty the shake area was and it was super gross. The cook brought over my chilly dog. When I got my shake I was too grossed out to even have it. The pots and blender top was filthy and stacked with ice cream messy all over the sink for people to see. I had already paid, and I didn't wanna make a scene or deal with a refund, I just won't go back. And by reading here I can see it's a big problem. Bummer. The chilly dog was good though and the cook was great.

I came during lunch time and it was pretty empty so service was quick. The cashier was super occupied with her phone and didn't seem to want to be bothered though. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was actually pretty solid. Tasted very fresh and served very hot! I was surprised that it was tasty lol. I would request sauce next time if they offer any options.

Solid place for burgers, fries and shakes! Cutely decorated as a 1950s themed diner. Current promotion is the Chocolate "Dirt" Milkshake. During September, Happy Hour for this spooky treat is 2PM-5PM, buy one, get one 50% off. -Friendly & Good Customer Service -Very Clean Indoor & Outdoor Seating -Plenty of free parking in the Kohl's shopping center. You don't want to miss this deal! Bring a friend, and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent ya

Haven't been to a Johnny Rockets for ages. Not sure why we decided to stop in to satisfy our craving for burgers. 2 burgers, 2 drinks, an order of fries and onion rings came out to be a whopping $53!! That's seems outrageous for fast food burgers. Furthermore, the burgers seemed much smaller than what I remembered. The quality of the food was also mediocre at best. A similar meal at In-and-Out costs about $20 with much better quality. I gave them an extra star for the outstanding service and attitude of the server, Francisco. I wish all restaurant staff are like him.

Background On Visit: Missed having Johnny Rockets food and had this craving for a milkshake. I decided to go on the day of their grand opening Floor Plan: Thought it was okay, but feels kinda uncomfortable sitting at the communal long table next to the line where you order. I get that there isn't much room so they had to maximize the space that they have. Credit Card: They're accepted Restroom: Yes, restroom is available. Parking: A shared parking lot with other business in the back. Ambiance/Decor: Ambiance was alright with 1940's vintage feel. Wasn't born in the 40's, but in the movies it does look kinda sorta like it. There aren't many tables and seats inside, but their are communal tables outside. It would be nice if they would a real jukebox to play some tunes and have the staffers dance like the old location at the Santa Anita mall (The mall is now called, The Shops of Santa Anita. Order Of Operation: 1) Get in line and pay at the register 2) Go to a table, place your number at the table, and wait for a staffer to bring you your food. As for to-go orders, just stand anywhere that has some space to wait for your order. Service: Service was alright for the most part. Felt a little off putting when the staffer behind the register asked if I would like to tip. Food came out at a decent time and the staffer (Jolene) provided more ketchup by drawing a smiley face on the plate. I realized after I finished my meal that they forgot to give me my chocolate milkshake I ordered. I had a hard time finding Jolene to tell her about it that I went to the counter instead and talked to the person at register. Eventually, I got the milkshake. Food Of Choice: I ordered the original double cheeseburger and fries. Thought it was okay. Milkshake was very good. Food For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back for another chocolate shake when I have a craving for it.

Location and Parking- this resturant is CLEANNN. SQUEEKY clean and I loed it! I felt super comfortable dinning in and there's plenty of parking from the lot Service- best thing about this place! the staff was patient and gave good recommendations. they even drew cute ketchup art for us and urged us to scan the code to play music :) Food- my husband devoured his burger and can't wait to get it again. I think he got one with jalapenos? the fries were EXTREMELY fresh (never frozen_ and my favorite part of the meal. it was also a great size for the price we paid. I got the grilled chicken sandwich which was really small (was kinda sad) but at least it tasted good

Plenty of PARKING! Sometimes parking is everything, especially when you are hungry and don't want to circle the block for a space to park. The location in Alhambra is great in terms of parking spaces. Burgers, fries, and shakes was the craving so Johnny Rockets made sense. Downside might be they don't offer combo meals. Mostly everything is "à la carte", (burgers, fries, drinks are charged separately - not a good value), the exception are the kids meals and special promotion meal. Overall, I would still would come back. Food was good and service was great.

Firstly, the food was absolutely delicious. We received our burgers and they were cooked perfectly. You could squeeze the burger and fat was still oozing out of the patty. It tasted phenomenal and was not undercooked. The service was quick and efficient. Our food was brought to us promptly. There is a relaxed atmosphere to the restaurant with a sense like you're back in the 50's diner enjoying a burger. There was a QR code to vote for the soundtrack for the music playing in the restaurant. P.S. Our cashier made a Oreo Milkshake for some other customers and he decided to let us have it as a sample because the customers that bought the milkshake didn't want the excess.. It was awesome ! The shake was freaking delicious.

When I think of Johnny Rockets, I remember the old location on Main St. Back then, they always drew a ketchup smiley face. I really like their ranch, not sure if it's made in house. I was in the area and saw this location and had to stop by for a late lunch. I ordered The Rocket (single), Chicken Club, Onion Rings and Fries. I was surprised each burger is around $10 - $14 now. The ingredients are fresh. The employees are very nice and I noticed they are happy to be working there so they take care of their customers well. I do like the new decoration but the old red and white with the the counter will always be nostalgic! I parked in the back and they take credit cards.

Happy that we don't have to drive out to Hollywood for a nostalgic taste of Johnny Rockets! The ketchup comes in a smile on a plate, iykyk. The jukebox of an app/website link now with different playlists of classic diner music, organized by era/genre (Motown, 60s, 50s, etc) The strawberry and Oreo milkshake is my fave. Philly cheesesteak was hearty and filling, good amount of cheese (would have liked more peppers, onions, mushrooms but still great). The grilled chicken sandwich was juicy with fresh ingredients. Chili cheese fries had melted and shredded cheese; chili wasn't greasy and flavorful (I'd rather get this than The Hat). Fries and onion rings were crunchy and crisp without being oily.

They also have outside seating and tables that face spring street and the side of LA historic park. Now on to the food. We ordered the Eggs and Steak with a side of hashbrowns and toast, 1st Street Omelette with a side of hash browns and a biscuit, a grilled blueberry muffin and some coffee. Everything was pretty good, especially that grilled muffin. Also, make sure you ask for some house made blueberry jam for your toast or biscuit. You're welcome. They also have some great hot sauces to choose from. The only complaint we had was that the steak was over seasoned with salt that we had to scrape off the top. Other than that, the food was delicious, comforting, and hit the spot. We would definitely come back to try more of their popular menu items.

I'm so glad we did because we had a wonderful time. Right off the bat, however, I want to point out that this is a cash only establishment. Yes, they do have an ATM inside, but if you want to avoid what I'm assuming is a crazy service fee, bring plenty of cash with you because this place isn't the cheapest meal in town. It's not expensive, but it's not cheap. Also, there is very limited parking so just be ready to park on the street a bit away and walking in. The location itself is small. Narrow and deep. They squeeze in as many tables as they can around the walls while having a long countertop that runs the length of the kitchen. But, with all that said, and with them trying to cram in as many people as possible, it didn't feel too cramped. Only time we really felt the high density was when one of my kids needed to use the restroom and we had to find somewhere to stand and wait for it to become available. Outside of the front of the restaurant, there really is no space to just stand around. The food itself is wonderful. The burgers are no nonsense. They're not trying to be anything other than just a classic diner burger and fries. And that's exactly what I want from a place like this. Nothing is made for Instagram or to chase a trend. This place knows what they're good at because they've been doing it for decades and they don't stray from that. It's a total 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' mentality here and it's better off for it. My son got the chili and demolished it. I was worried he wouldn't like it, but it was anything but the case. I haven't seen him eat chili that fast in a long time. The dessert was good, but probably my least favorite part of the whole meal. I think I just wanted something different than what I ordered. I got the peach crumble and, while tasty, it just didn't scratch the pie itch I wanted. It was the perfect blend of soft and crispy. The crumble was good, but I think I wanted more of it. I'm being picky here, but I think it just slightly missed the mark. I really enjoyed my brunch at Pie N Burger. It was a wonderful outing. From the friendly staff to the classic food. It was just nice. And I absolutely look forward to coming back. Again and again.
