We came here wanting a shake and they were out of ice cream .. it was still day light , so we were very disappointed. The kid who took and gave the order this day wasn't at his most attentive as we asked for it a specific way, noted on the receipt.. but he was eager to have the cook remake it. That was good but it slowed down the time it took to get my friends food. Later while eating, an off the clock employee came in, kinda rowdy and went behind the counter basically to the cook. I wasn't a fan of that as I didn't see him wash hands but I did see him touch things at the cooking station .. There are restrooms and it was just my party inside.. but I don't think I'd be back to this location PS : I ordered my food from the Ramen spot next door : SUPER DELICIOUS

It been so long since I had Johnny Rockets. The first time was dine in at another location. It was a good experience. I was hesitant to order wings here. Not sure why. However, I had a deal for wings so decided to order for pick up. The packaging was good. We were hoping the wings would be good. I had a disgusting face when I opened the box. Must be some cheap wings or old wings. I dunno. I tried some. The garlic parm tasted different from normal wings places. It wasn't bad but for sure ain't the best. The lemon pepper wings were not good at all. Wings were somewhat juicy and didn't taste old. Very little sauces in both boxes. We were only given one bag of blue cheese. We requested for ranch. Anyways...these wings looked very unappetizing. We didn't finish. I will definitely NOT return.

Sign says they close at 7:30pm. It's 7:07. Why are they close. No one here. Already cleaned and closed for the night. So disappointed. Really wanted a burger

The chilly dog was made really well. The cook was super friendly and did a great job.

Ugh. I don't like to write negative posts. But this place was disappointing. I was randomly craving a shake and had gone next door to pick up ramen for lunch the next day. I came here and ordered a shake and a hotdog. The employee was glued to his phone, young kid. HE was so checked out, the cook noticed and came for my order. The cook was waaay friendlier than the actual dude running the register. I gave him my order and then the kid walked over to me after this. He rang me up while still watching something on his phone. He started my shake and halfway through, I noticed how dirty the shake area was and it was super gross. The cook brought over my chilly dog. When I got my shake I was too grossed out to even have it. The pots and blender top was filthy and stacked with ice cream messy all over the sink for people to see. I had already paid, and I didn't wanna make a scene or deal with a refund, I just won't go back. And by reading here I can see it's a big problem. Bummer. The chilly dog was good though and the cook was great.

I came during lunch time and it was pretty empty so service was quick. The cashier was super occupied with her phone and didn't seem to want to be bothered though. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was actually pretty solid. Tasted very fresh and served very hot! I was surprised that it was tasty lol. I would request sauce next time if they offer any options.

Haven't been to a Johnny Rockets for ages. Not sure why we decided to stop in to satisfy our craving for burgers. 2 burgers, 2 drinks, an order of fries and onion rings came out to be a whopping $53!! That's seems outrageous for fast food burgers. Furthermore, the burgers seemed much smaller than what I remembered. The quality of the food was also mediocre at best. A similar meal at In-and-Out costs about $20 with much better quality. I gave them an extra star for the outstanding service and attitude of the server, Francisco. I wish all restaurant staff are like him.

Background On Visit: Missed having Johnny Rockets food and had this craving for a milkshake. I decided to go on the day of their grand opening Floor Plan: Thought it was okay, but feels kinda uncomfortable sitting at the communal long table next to the line where you order. I get that there isn't much room so they had to maximize the space that they have. Credit Card: They're accepted Restroom: Yes, restroom is available. Parking: A shared parking lot with other business in the back. Ambiance/Decor: Ambiance was alright with 1940's vintage feel. Wasn't born in the 40's, but in the movies it does look kinda sorta like it. There aren't many tables and seats inside, but their are communal tables outside. It would be nice if they would a real jukebox to play some tunes and have the staffers dance like the old location at the Santa Anita mall (The mall is now called, The Shops of Santa Anita. Order Of Operation: 1) Get in line and pay at the register 2) Go to a table, place your number at the table, and wait for a staffer to bring you your food. As for to-go orders, just stand anywhere that has some space to wait for your order. Service: Service was alright for the most part. Felt a little off putting when the staffer behind the register asked if I would like to tip. Food came out at a decent time and the staffer (Jolene) provided more ketchup by drawing a smiley face on the plate. I realized after I finished my meal that they forgot to give me my chocolate milkshake I ordered. I had a hard time finding Jolene to tell her about it that I went to the counter instead and talked to the person at register. Eventually, I got the milkshake. Food Of Choice: I ordered the original double cheeseburger and fries. Thought it was okay. Milkshake was very good. Food For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back for another chocolate shake when I have a craving for it.

Location and Parking- this resturant is CLEANNN. SQUEEKY clean and I loed it! I felt super comfortable dinning in and there's plenty of parking from the lot Service- best thing about this place! the staff was patient and gave good recommendations. they even drew cute ketchup art for us and urged us to scan the code to play music :) Food- my husband devoured his burger and can't wait to get it again. I think he got one with jalapenos? the fries were EXTREMELY fresh (never frozen_ and my favorite part of the meal. it was also a great size for the price we paid. I got the grilled chicken sandwich which was really small (was kinda sad) but at least it tasted good

They were pretty busy at 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday but did not wait for a seat. Ordered the $17 burrito and was expecting something to be handheld but they do it ranchera style with red sauce and cheese topped all around it and on the sides and I'm glad they did because it was delicious. Well worth it; I eat burritos half this size for the same price in downtown LA. Ordered a side of hash browns they were solid as well. Only gripe would be that there wasn't much bacon or sausage in it (comes with both but needs more of both.) Melaniya served me proper. This was a great start we'll definitely be back to try the waffles always a gamble finding a crisp one, but they claim it so we will find out soon enough. It's a bit stuffy inside and loud as hell strange for a diner to be this loud but just saying. Still for what I ate it's an easy table pounder five star. That's a sign of a great restaurant. When we went in, the servers were welcoming and it was packed on a Friday morning. We waited a few minutes before getting to our table and our server Gabby was the sweetest. She suggested the omelette (I forgot what specific type) and I'm so glad I took her suggestion. My food was awesome, a lot better than I was expecting. At first, I thought my portion was a little small, but I couldn't even finish my plate! The food is filling, flavorful, and everything was perfect. The positive ambience is a reflection of the quality service, food, and overall perspective of this restaurant. I thought it was so beautiful to see a bunch of elderly people coming for a morning mimosa, having coffee, reading, newspapers, and just mingling with each other. It gave me something to look forward to when I get older. I got a little sad when I seen a few elderly people alone. But when I realized maybe they go to Shakers because this is where their community is, I really felt the love. Go check it out, see what I'm talking about. I promise you won't regret it.

Friend, now I know what food is like in prison. The gravy was a bland, featureless runny liquid (no, even runnier than you're thinking), devoid of any seasoning whatsoever. I legitimately believe they dug a pan that used to have gravy in it out of the dirty dishes, swished some water around in it and poured it on my plate. The "biscuits" were hardly any better, lacking any hint of butter or flake, instead seeming like someone stirred up some Bisquick and threw it on the flattop grill. This meal was an insult and a punishment, and as part of a $70 check it felt like I was being personally invited to a fistfight by the dumpster. Alas, I had somewhere else to be. And somewhere else, anywhere else, is what I'll choose next time when breakfast is due. For reference, biscuits and gravy should include round, buttery, flaky biscuits using dough that was rolled out, cut, and baked. Gravy in this context is a richer, creamier milk gravy with substance, at minimum seasoned with fresh cracked pepper and perhaps some paprika. Offering a sausage gravy wouldn't hurt either. Or don't offer biscuits and gravy at all if you don't know what the f**k you're doing.

The Reyn is a popular breakfast spot in Pasadena and a place I still visit from time to time,…read moreusually when meeting friends or colleagues. Despite its popularity, I find the food to be fairly average. Much of it tastes like it's made from standard commercial food-service ingredients rather than prepared fresh. On the positive side, the prices are reasonable, the dining room has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is generally attentive. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood breakfast restaurant - nothing particularly memorable, but nothing especially disappointing either. The Reyn Special - 3/5. A classic breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and banana bread. The eggs and bacon are fairly average, although the bacon tends to be overcooked and dry. The standout is the hash browns. They're cooked with a nicely browned, crispy crust while still remaining fairly moist inside. The real highlight, however, is the banana bread. It tastes homemade and is easily the best item on the plate. Crepes - 1/5. This dish comes as two separate plates: one with the ricotta-filled crepes and another with eggs, sausage, bacon, and your choice of fries or tater tots. Unfortunately, the crepes are the weakest part of the meal. The ricotta-filled crepes don't taste freshly made and instead resemble a pre-made food-service product that's simply reheated before serving. Both the crepe and ricotta filling have a generic flavor with noticeable artificial notes. You can choose either banana or strawberry topping, but both sauces taste overly processed and artificial. The accompanying breakfast plate is noticeably better. I chose the tater tots, which were well prepared - crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside. The bacon, however, was again overcooked and dry, making it tough to chew. The sausage was acceptable but unremarkable. Scrambled Supreme - 2.5/5. Despite the name, this is essentially an omelet. The eggs have a mild, neutral flavor, and the fillings are okay but don't stand out. Coffee - 2/5. The coffee is classic diner coffee in every sense. It's somewhat watery, heavily roasted, and finishes with a flat, slightly bitter aftertaste. It's neither particularly good nor particularly bad - just standard coffee that does the job. Overall, The Reyn succeeds as a comfortable, affordable breakfast spot with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. While the food is average, and several dishes rely on ingredients that taste commercially prepared rather than freshly made.

Everything was pretty good, especially that grilled muffin. Also, make sure you ask for some house made blueberry jam for your toast or biscuit. You're welcome. The classic milkshake machine, old school cash register, and diner seating all feel authentic rather than manufactured. The peach pie, warmed with ice cream on top, was genuinely great and worth the trip on its own. The burger had a solid homemade quality to it. Cons: The price felt steep for what's ultimately a pretty standard burger. You're paying more for the time capsule experience than for the food itself. The patty was fine but unremarkable, and I couldn't point to anything that justified the "legendary" hype. Bottom line: Come for the pie and the history, not for a burger that'll blow you away.
