This isn't like that old-school Johnny Rockets that you might remember from your younger days. It's been modernised, ironically, to give it more of fast-food vibe. If you're a fan of Fatburger, you might recognise the layout, which shouldn't be surprising, since the same corporation owns that chain, too. I came here for the plant-based Impossible Burger, which, to my surprise, was pretty much an exact dupe of the Impossible Fatburger, i.e., delicious, with that fantastically redundant combination of pickles and relish. Like Fatburger, they also have a selection of vegan shakes (in addition to the ones that use real ice cream), and you have the option of adding some vegan cheese to your burger. The fries were kind of meh, possibly because they were steaming in a clamshell container for about 10 minutes. If only they had those Fatburger Skinny Fries. As for service, well, that's not like the old-school Johnny Rockets either. My order wasn't ready when i was told to pick it up, but not because they had too many orders ahead of mine. They simply hadn't even started it yet. The manager at the counter lied and said it was almost ready, but i literally watched them place the patty on the grill. So why the four stars? I'm not going to be petty about a bit of chaos in the kitchen. The fact is, my burger was delicious and I've been needing a Fatburger fix for a while. Johnny Rockets is the next best thing. The cook was eating hot Cheetos while cooking and making food. There was only one chef on a Saturday afternoon at 1pm. When our food arrived, my daughter's cheeseburger had hot Cheetos red marks on it. Then with his bare hands he put his hands in a jar of jalapeños and scooped out a bunch to put in a to go container. Nothing about this place is any good. Staff is unfriendly, food service is slower than Christmas, floors and counters are dirty and crumbs everywhere. I paid $8 for a five piece mango habanero chicken wings. The mango habanero was good but they don't season the meat at all. So as you bite into spicy skin you're gnawing on bland meat with no salt. Yuck! This is why I just cook at home and don't go out anymore. The offerings at this little strip mall are limited. Just don't go here. It's not going to end well. Came here with my little family after a 2 hour drive home on a rainy March 2nd. Upon entering, I had a bad feeling. We placed our order 3 burgers, 1 fries and 1 onion rings, with an Oreo milkshake. Total of $75 dollars. We sat down and waited 40 min for the order of fries and 1 of 3 burgers to come out. It took another 20 min for the remainder of our food to come out (after going to the counter to ask if we were going to receive the rest of the food). When asked about the food, the young lady said food comes out at different times, it all depends on how long it took to make. That's now how it's supposed to be, as how can 1 person eat at the table when no one else has received their food? Noticed the teen girl cashier was not changing her gloves out whenever she touched the money, food orders or making the shakes, which included handling the ice cream. Noticed when she made an other person's shake, she used the same dirty gloved hand, to remove the ice cream from the ice cream scoop and into the blender. Do not recommend this business! This place had recently opened for business, so we thought we'd give it a try. We've patronized other Johnny Rockets before and had like the food, prices and service (these were located in Monterey Park, Alhambra (on Main St. near Applebee's) and in the Santa Anita Mall (Arcadia). All three eventually closed). When we first walked-in, the decor was really nice, well done which was expected given that the establishment had just recently opened. We were also greeted and welcomed as soon as we walked in. So why the 1-star rating? Our first shock came when we saw the prices for the various menu items! Really high! (Checkout the attached receipt.) I had thought about getting the Bacon Chedder double but that was even more expensive than the single, which was already too much! Plus, the burgers we ordered were rather small, with a thin patty (maybe quarter pound?). I can get a Dave's double from Wendy's (at the time of this posting) for LESS than what this place charges for a Rocket Single (see attached receipt)! And American Fries for $5.49?! The fires where not that great, either! The only "reasonably" priced item was the soda for $3.99 because it has free refills, but still rather high. (BTW, we originally had the lemonade, but tasted awful, so dumped that and refilled with a Root Beer which was okay.) Really disappointed with this place! read more

At Johnnys they still bring your order to your table; service with a smile. The restaurant has comfy seating and is very clean. I came here for a late father's day meal with my father he wanted to try this place. This review is not on the food which was good. This review on the service and cleaning less of the establishment. The restaurant was filthy all the tables were dirty, the soda machine was leaking water and puddles on the floor. The trash cans were over filled and the trash on the floor. I left a comment on the website and the manager got back to me and apologized and promised me compensation , but never made good on his promise. I hope they get their act together because the food is better than most places worth the cost. But till they keep the establishment clean I won't visit this Rockets location.
