No one pays attention to you! They just walk by not saying a word then it took another 40 min to get your food terrible service

Stopped by to pick up some burgers to go! We got the bacon cheddar burger and the rocket double burger and both were not bad, but nothing special either. The regular fries and the sweet potato fries were pretty good although I wish they gave a bigger portion of the fries. Not too great. I ordered a kid's grilled cheese meal and she couldn't even eat it. Two bites of the sandwich and it was all over. Once I tried it, I knew why. It was absolutely the DRIEST sandwich I've ever tasted in my life. I think a sheet of notebook paper would have had more flavor. Fries were tolerable once drowned in ketchup. If I'm going to pay 17 bucks for a meal, it had better be good. This didn't even come close to measuring up. Not worth a return visit. read more

Great service and atmosphere. Our waiter was super kind and efficient! Our food came out fairly quickly as well for a Saturday night! The location is right in the mall and easy to find! The food was amazing - one of my favorite places to get a burger. I got the single burger and added bacon, highly recommended. We finished the night off with shakes (of course). Went to this location and had the worst experience ever. We ordered 6 wings bbq flavored, a double cheeseburger with fries and a Philly cheesesteak with light onions and green peppers, tomatoes and mayo. After waiting a bit the cheeseburger meal came then minutes later the Philly cheesesteak meal came but we never got the 6 bbq wings until (wait for it). Neither order was correct. We decided to settle and keep our food. I asked for extra mayo and about 25 minutes later after asking this waiter a fifth time he brought it to me. By this time my food was cold therefore I asked for it to be replaced. I was extremely heated at this point because he wasn't doing anything to have forgotten about it several times. Then his double cheeseburger wasn't so double it was a single cheeseburger. This really pushed my buttons because not only is my food wrong so was his. Hey about those wings..they were no where in sight. We asked and I watched them talking about something but still no wings and by this time his food is getting cold because of waiting for my food to come back. We always eat together because our food always comes out at the same time. NOT AT THIS PLACE!! I encourage him to eat so that his food wouldn't continue to get cold. I was so disappointed. I didn't even eat all of my food when I finally got my Philly cheesesteak. Now around 45 minutes later, the wings finally arrived. By this time we were aggravated and frustrated, so we quickly ate them and left. I would NOT recommend eating at this location!! This Johnny Rockets is located at arrundel Mills mall right near the cinemark Egyptian theater. It's not near the food court but near the movie entrance. The ambiance is almost like a diner. That's the first thing that hits you when you walk in. I've never been to one before so I don't know what their specialties are but they advertise burgers a lot. I ordered a bacon cheddar burger and bacon cheese tots for the table to share. The burger was pretty decent. Not too bad but not great either. Their regular Fries were below average but I tried some sweet potato fries someone else got and they were pretty good. The bacon cheese tots were also really good. The Tots are crispy, cheese was melted, and bacon was crispy. Couldn't ask for more on that. Our service was pretty good though, just pointing it out since most reviews talk about bad service. To sum everything up, decent food and good service but there are better options for food in the mall. read more

Went to this establishment located in the Arundel Mills mall. The decor I must say is pretty dope with the old school diner setup. This was my first time eating here so I dug the set up. It was near closing and I know people hate when your about to close and more people show up. The look and demeanor of some of the worker's said it all. I didn't want a burger so decided to try something outside the box. I ordered the Philly cheese steak tots. It wasn't quite steak more like steak-ums with onions, peppers, cheese and tater tots. I was underwhelmed by the taste but the presentation was pretty good. I also loved their tall glasses which was refilled with lemonade since they don't have sweet tea (sad face). The service lacked any enthusiasm which could probably be factored by it was closing time. Our server was ok but not as attentive as I would have liked. I'm usually a first impression type of person and I wasnt really impressed to make a return. Maybe I'll try a stand alone Johnny Rockets if I ever become curious again. read more

Overall our food was decent today. If you're looking for some greasy, American grub this is a great choice. My sons enjoyed their shakes and burgers. I enjoyed my grilled chicken sandwich. Our server was also attentive and sweet. The main reason for three stars was there was a large chunk of hair stuck to my menu, I almost walked out then but my kids were upset. I was pumped to try the new Johnny Rockets so I stopped in on a Friday night with some family. It wasn't too busy, and we were sat promptly. Our waiter was friendly and helped any questions. We ordered sodas, chicken fingers and a burger. The soda was fine until we noticed there was an invited creature in our root beer, an ant. I immediately brought the cup to the counter and they said "again"... Dumped it and really have no explaination. The server said sorry but I figured a manager would at least stop by the table. The food was ok but came out in peices. Also got a milk shake but it was awful and sour. The server wasn't surprised and asked if we wanted a manager, I said yes and they never came. The staff was nice but it's clear there is no leader at this establishment, why not check in on my table, throw in milkshakes or at least NOT charge for the bug soda. Food here was very disappointing and subpar. We got the spicy houston burger, loaded philly tots and oreo shake. The burger was nothing special. It just felt a little disappointing and I can't describe why. It definitely needed more flavor and more pop. The fries were also really sad. I felt like they were room temp and were heated up like 30 min prior to me ordering it and was just left sitting around. The philly meat on top of the fries were overly salty and overall it just needed something else to balance it like fresh tomatoes, some acid, some hot peppers or even hot sauce. The oreo shake was ok. It tasted mostly like vanilla ice cream even though i had some small chunks of oreo and you could see the specks of oreo. I just felt really disappointed and dissatisfied during and after this dinner. The service lacked enthusiasm. I paid for a milkshake to go and one of the cooks noticed me waiting, asked what I was waiting for, made it and told the guy who I'd paid. He and other servers stood around chatting even with a busy place. If he wasn't busy he could have made the shake. This place is so close to the cinema, you can even buy discounted tickets for movies for $9. The restaurant is located inside the mall and basically a glorified fast food join with more options for shakes. I ordered the Route 66 single patty. It's way smaller than the picture but it's good enough. The root beer float is good and they have sweet potato fries. This place is not expensive at all and kids friendly. The waitress are nice and friendly. The place is not crowded and clean with retro design. Just don't expect super fancy burgers. read more

Stopped by here today cause we were in the area and needed bottled water and to stop by Harbor freight for some tools. Seems like we are eating a lot of hamburgers lately. But its fast and convenient. As you know Burger King scared the living daylights out of us. So we upping the quality for awhile. The waitress was very professional and really sweet. Humble place, but burgers here was fabulous, size is good enough too. We also ordered chicken salad, fried great, no extra moisture, chicken wasn't dry either. Ingredients was fresh. Burgers taste great, good amount of ingredients, not just buns with a small peace of meat and if goes with the fries which was hot and crispy. Food cooked good and delicious. After a month, I came back again. I brought one guest with me and I really wanted use my restaurant.com deal (spend $30 to use a $10 certificate). Our server, Jahmil, was very pleasant. It was a little hard to hear him because he had a medical mask on but he did not mind repeating himself a few times. We ordered the six piece wings with bbq sauce, double bacon cheddar burger with tater tots, and a strawberry shake. Our server offered to have the burger split for us and then he served it to us on separate baskets with the tater tots split as well. That made it very convenient for us. The wings were my favorite part of the meal. It had the perfect softness and right amount of sweetness to the sauce. It was more than enough food to feed both of us. The shake was a good amount to share between two people. Our server checked on us frequently and he had no problem applying the gift certificate to our bill. Also, the alcohol here is pretty cheap so if you like to have a beer with your meal, this would be a good place to have it. read more

Service was good and friendly. The food was edible of course but it just seemed to lack flavor of the JR burgers I remember when I would go there in VA Beach. Plus when having a burger you cannot help to compare to the numerous other burger places to choose from. I ordered a burger to go that was to come with bacon. When it came out they seemed to have forgot I said to go. I am kind of glad that it came out this way as I saw that it was missing the swine. I told the waitress this and she looked at the menu to verify if I was correct. Oh it gets better. She told the cook and he came over to look at my burger to verify this also. WTF! Did they suspect I ate the bacon quickly to get over on them for a few slices? It was corrected after what seemed to be much deliberation and investigation. We've been to several JRs over time, and in several cities throughout the U.S. Some are good, others not so much. This one is the latter. Our waitress was wonderful. She was incredibly attentive, and very concerned that we got exactly what we wanted. So 5 stars for her. The food is just OK. I always think of burger joints like JRs as having a really good retro feel, really good burgers and fries (which is supposedly their specialty) and a really good retro ambiance, to include the music, furnishings, etc. Silver Diner does this very well as a 50s-era diner. JR generally doesn't. The worst part: We came with a Groupon. As soon as I see a manager give me any hesitation whatsoever, especially when I have looked through the fine print of my Groupon to ensure that I am using it properly, I am not happy. Using a Groupon, or any coupon for that matter, is not rocket science. But here, at the Arundel Mills JR, it is. 5-10 minutes later the manager finally gave in and said that he would accept it. Yay for me!!!! He should have given me a simple "OK" at the outset. But, rather, he gave me a lot of "Well, this is a new one and we're not sure it's in our system yet and ... blah blah blah." No excuse. So: The service was wonderful. The food was adequate. The atmosphere was OK. The manager sucked. Don't think we will be going there again. read more

I always enjoy this place. I've had almost all of their burgers, the cheesesteak, and one of the chicken sandwiches, and cannot complain as far as the flavor goes. I do feel that their burgers are on the small side for what they charge but if you get the Groupon that they're always offering, it's really not that bad. Can't go wrong with their shakes either. Today was the first day they were opened - from a remodel. It looks nice, bright and inviting. It wasn't very full so we were seated immediately. Our server was Tiffany and it took her around 5 minutes to get to get to us and that came with a have you been helped already. We places our order of 3 burgers and kids tenders at 9:06pm and our order was delivered at 924pm. All was correct except for the hubby's order. We had to send that back. It was a little greasy and locking condiments as advertised. We probably won't be back as it's basic food nothing spectacular. read more
