Not sure what everyone else's problem is but this place good! Although we weren't seated within five minutes, the service was great. Ania (she calls herself Ana for those who can't pronounce it right) was our server and she made sure to constantly check on us and was very warm and welcoming. The service was not the greatest. They seemed busy, but not alot of people were there. We both got burgers, they were meh. I think Carls Jr. burgers are tastier. The fries were about the same as the burgers, just bland. The shakes though were where it was at. The shakes were old fashioned and creamy, very tasty. So for 2 burger and fries, one drink and 2 shakes (1 small and 1 large) the price was about $40, that is not including a tip. I was not pleased with this meal. This place has the telltale signs of managerial neglect (or sloth). Thus the two star review (one star being reserved solely for establishments violating health code regulations). The windows were dirty. Ventilation was drafty. Our cups and plates were chipped, my salad had plenty of wilted leaves, and an abysmally disappointing Houston burger. It was mostly bun, with scant jalapeño and gustatorially absent chipotle sauce. Oh, and they were out of to-go boxes on a Friday night and had been for some time. So glad my boyfriend and I decided to eat here. I cannot remember the name of the burger I got but it was the one with jalapeños. It was way good! Not too spicy but just enough. The buns were excellent! The fries were great! I don't know if they just forgot to salt them or if they are normally unsalted, but that's how I like my fries. I've been here several times and I had the best service from a waiter I had to write a review. She recommended the Memphis Chicken burger and it was great. She was quick and the food was brought out in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this restaurant and ask for Kaela as your server. She was patient with me and attentive even when it was busy. Had a great experience at Johnny Rockets. The restaurant was clean and the food was really good. Our waiter AB or Arturo, was very pleasant and very entertaining.....made us laugh the whole time we were there. Ordered 2 mini hot dog kids meals and a grilled chicken salad. It took 40 minutes to get our food, and the salad didn't have half the stuff on it it was supposed to (no bacon). The salad was tiny. I'd expect a lot more for an $8 salad. Ridiculous. Also, the server was terrible. Never had a good experience here, but thought we'd give them one more shot. I love Johnny Rockets, drive over 20 miles to ear here. The problem is the restaurant is half full. stood in line for over 10 mins to be seated. Rhen we were finally seated and 15 mins later still no waiter. The staff is young, and slow. No manager on site. Finally waived a waitress to get a manager for us. We were told they were short staffed. Get a clue on what customer service is about and learn to run a business! read more

I wil not be back. when I saw Johnny Rockets at the outlet mall I thought it looked like a cool place to go. I was busy so waited and went back about a week later. The food was ok, but once the server brought my meal he disappeared and I did not see him until he eventually showed up with my bill. I prefer service oriented places. arrived for lunch around 1. It is a new restaurants but seems unfinished. The end cap near our booth was off showing the end of the particle board. the host stand seemed to have been moved from somewhere else as the side facing the entrance was unfinished. There were cute little showcases in the cabinetry but nothing was displayed. Our waiter was annoying with his "sweet" every other word and his teeny bopper attitude. the food was okay but not really memorable. I did like the onion rings though. There were 10 customers and 11 employees so the employees were doing a lot of visiting with each other. Not very good managers to allow that much labor during slow time. The atmosphere at this restaurant was fun. Just after being seated, we we ordered our food. My husband always asks the waiter for a recommendation and that is what he gets. Carlos, our waiter, recommended the Philly Cheese steak sandwich. He asked my husband if he wanted onions and mushrooms on it, which he did. BUT Carlos failed to mention that those items would cost extra - a lot extra... Hubby also got regular fries with his meal. I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. Carlos said the fries are bottomless, so that sounded like a great value. I also ordered a chocolate malted shake. After we ordered, the juke box was turned up and the wait staff proceeded to dance a cute routine to the song, but some of the dancers looked like they were miserable doing this dance. Kinda took the fun out of it. We got our food - presentation was great. The serving of fries was on the small side, but since they were bottomless, that was fine. The Philly was very good. A well dressed sandwich. The burger was okay - I've had better, but this was by far, not the worst. The chocolate shake was pitiful - kind of slimy... didn't like that at all... We ate our food, and I like to have fun with the staff. I asked them when thejuliy would be dancing again, and they said they would do another dance just for us before we leave. The second dance (The Hippy Shake) was cute - a cute routine, but again, the wait staff looked miserable doing it. I even commented to one of the boys dancing and said he looked like he would rather have a root canal. He laughed and said he has danced these dances so many times it was really OLD - I reminded him that it was our first time seeing it... They are better waiters than performers. Back to the food - the fries were okay, but got cold really fast and didn't have much flavor. When we ordered a refill on the fries, we were told that only the regular fries were bottomless. Would have been nice to know when I was ordering. Now, the biggest gripe I have is that we spent $30 on dinner.... I think the prices are way too high! Service was good, wait was good. Food was just ok. I got a bacon cheeseburger and the burger was good but the fries were really average. Nothing special about it. The shake was horrid. Wasn't blended correctly so half the shake was pure vanilla (it was a cookie and cream). The shake was also really small. I can get better, more, and cheaper almost any place else. Worst ever! I just wanted to get a quick bite. I stepped in wait behind "wait here to be seated" sign for a while, nobody took care of me. I picked a table and seated myself. Still, nobody brought me menu. I had to ask for menu, and finally! Somebody ordered my food. After having my food ordered, this girl never spoke to me for a single word. She just silently dropped my drink, my food, my bill and my change. This is so rude! I was trying to smile and say thank you initially, but I don't want to say a single word either in the end. It doesn't look like I was treated equally with the rest of customers. I don't know if they just judged me by my face. I don't think I am picky. But this place is too over. Went here on a Thursday evening right at dinner time. It was not even a third full. Expected it to get more busy but it never did. Now I know why. The service was fine and mostly attentive but the food came out sloppily prepared and seemed as though it was dumped on the plate. I food was just OK and certainly wasn't worth the price. The Burgers were nothing but ordinary and the fries were mostly warm. One member in our party ordered a burger wrapped in lettuce leaves. That consisted of a small patty with two pickle slices wrapped in a leaf of lettuce. All for $8!! Won't be returning. read more

This place seemed like such a nice spot! With the decorations taking you back yo the diners in the 50s, I was excited to try this place out. We ordered their Mushroom burger and Philly cheesesteak and the Philly came out burnt and the bell peppers looked like it was added raw afterwards. The fries were tasteless and servings were small. Now my buggest complaint was the dauntless brownie brittle. My server had the audacity to bring out vanilla ice cream with little fudge and SHAVINGS of a brownie that seems like she scraped it off the bottom of the pan. I was seriously pissed off wheb she delivered it and walked off quickly to avoid my reaction. My bf received his shake and it was almost full and mines looked like it was halfway eaten. I will never come back to this place as lomg as I live. None of the servers were friendly and the service here sucked. Next time, leave napkins on the tablenand make sure your condiments are filled on the table before you seat guests. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. read more

I'm not usually picky about the restaurants I eat at, but this restaurant is pretty sub par. The booth that they seated us at was really dirty. It had what looked like dried milkshake and ketchup on the table and grease all over the seats. Our food was below average. I had the BLT and it tasted like something I could have made at home with microwaveable bacon. There was something black and fuzzy in my fries, but my chocolate milkshake was actually really good.
