Tables appeared super clean and friendly staff! Tina was our server today. She was super attentive and nice. We ordered the chili dog with extra onions (yum!) and the original burger. The chili dog had a perfect snap to the dog and the chili did not make the bread soggy. Sooo tasty! The original burger was perfect size and cooked to perfection. The fries were made well done served with a side of ranch ... even better after a long day in the son. Overall, great stop to eat and great service by Tina! Oh, and the cookies are huge! This is such a fun place. I have been to several locations, so nothing new, but nothing really needs to be changed. We enjoyed our veggie burgers onion rings, and milkshake. Our server was super, super nice! The one confusing and slightly annoying thing is that the veggie patty is actually a garden burger. It is not a Boca patty. Also, they now offer impossible patties, but since those are pretty unhealthy, we decided to stick with the OG. read more

The saying goes treat people as you would like to be treated and let me start off by saying no one greeted us after a long day at the pool we came straight to the to go order area. Where no one was there and the place was not busy at all. So for no one to greet us, Is just ridiculous. Let me say they don't accept Apple Pay like why not most places here do. Unfortunately I didn't get a name for who gave us horrible customer service which was the lady at the cash register taking our order was this Asian lady who was not polite at all. The other workers walked by not ever asking if I've been helped. So because they don't take Apple Pay I said will they still make my order and I'll pay when I pick up. She said yes I said do you need my name she said no I'll put NO PAY!!! Um excuse me how will I tell who's order im picking up can I get an order number or put my name down she replied no.... Wow !!! who does that? So to no surprise the person I asked can I pick my order up and pay he's all what's your name what did you order. Who runs a business like this to call a patron no pay when I pick an order up is uncalled for. Plus my food was not hot when I picked up even though she said it'll be 20 mins. What threw me for a loop was when yI simply asked can you read me what I ordered or repeat to make Sure she didn't make a mistake or leave any items off she didn't speak but print a receipt and handed it to me ! Like I said HORRIBLE SERVICE !!!! As much as I come to GSR I would never ever eat here again DO NOT RECOMMEND! She should NOT be the first person of contact with her customer service! There was a bit of a wait that the manager handled quickly and personally apologized for. Once I was seated service was phenomenal, my waitress Tina introduced herself by writing her name in ketchup which was very cute. She was attentive and made sure my experience was enjoyable. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was spectacular, the service was (again) phenomenal, the food was delicious, and the quality of the food and price of it were well-balanced (didn't overpay). Staff is always so friendly. Take out was ok our first time.... Chili fries were not what I expected after I got it, maybe I got the last of the chili. It was late when we ordered pick up. The Philly cheesesteak was skimpy with beef, maybe 3 ounces of meat. It was more bread and onions and peppers. Not worth the price. Second time I dined in with my family and just disgusted. For the price of food, it's some of the worst food I've purchased like $17 for a chicken sandwich and no fry's? The sandwich tasted bland way better with bbq or ranch. It's been a long time since we have been able to come here. Between Covid-19's impact on our "normal" and other factors, this place was a definite treat to make date night fun. Upon arrival, we were seated quickly and a server appeared almost immediately. A menu was given to allow us time to confirm our selections for the evening and our drink order and appetizers were ordered along with our entrees. Everything came out almost at the same time which was a small bummer but not a deal breaker by no means. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich and added bacon to it because... bacon!!! She was super happy with the preparation and flavor of everything. I went with a single bacon cheddar burger. Mine was also made to perfection and no issues at all. Fries are so good here! I almost forgot how special these were to be perfectly honest. And the onion rings too! Now, understandably so, no smiley face ketchup art on the plate at this time. But it was a missing touch that makes Johnny Rocket's what it is. But we had plenty of smiles from our server who also needed a small boost as a table near us bailed out in little time to give her to get to them once they were seated. Why 4-stars? Floors were like a second ice rink which was pretty close by if we had time to go! This is a diner style experience so I can appreciate a certain amount of a grease factor but one shouldn't essentially slip and slide to get around there. I'm not convinced the floors were cleaned regularly enough to prevent a potential slip and fall and I'm glad that didn't happen to myself or the person that depends on my stable stance to guide her around. Came here during hot August nights for lunch. Our server was Julie - very nice. Two of us shared a double bacon burger combo. It cost about $17 and came with fries (requested crispy) and a soda. We drove from Folsom to Reno for a quick 24 hr trip with the kids. We were starving by the time we arrived at the Grand Sierra and so happy to find that they had a Johnny Rockets on site. I ordered over the phone and the lady who took down our order was very personable. I ordered a cheeseburger, grilled cheese sandwich, turkey club sandwich, fries and a shake for our entire family. I haven't had a Johnny Rockets cheeseburger in over a decade because all of the locations in the San Francisco area shut down. The service here was amazing and the cheeseburger was so good. They finally took my order 15 mins after the person in front of me placed theirs. There didn't seem that many people but the wait was really long. Only ordered a BLT, fries and onion rings. Food was finally ready after 20-25 mins of waiting... The sandwich had just the right amount of Mayo and the fries/onion rings tasted great. Superb customer service - unlike some dry by servers we've experienced over the last few months coming to Reno at many other establishments. Tina provided services as if it was fine dining !
