It's nice to have this Filipino fast food spot in 626 now. The place was packed for drive-thru and ordering inside. This spot is great for families as they have various family deals. This was my first time trying their Spicy Chickenwich ($3.99) and it's damn worth it! The fried chicken is crispy, tender, and huge. It was an inch thick and actually looked like the advertisement photos. There's also some real jalapeño slices and some sauce inbetween. This is on par with Popeyes' chicken sandwich, no doubt. Came here for lunch with my toddler yesterday around noon. When we walked in we were greeted right away & they promptly took our order. Everyone was so welcoming and super nice. They were all ready to go & everyone was just really upbeat. I got a 2 piece fried chicken & spaghetti with a pineapple juice. Our order took about 5-10 minutes. Everything was pipping hot and fresh. The seats were clean, very spacious. Tons of parking as it's in a huge lot/plaza. They played great music, it was really cold in there which felt good since it was so hot outside. Plenty of people coming in & out so I think this location will do very well if they keep up the great service. read more

I ordered 2 pieces (one regular and one spicy) w/ a side (mashed potatoes) and a peach mango pie. It didn't take that long to receive the whole order when I ordered in store. The drive-thru line always looks long and there was actually only one customer inside when I ordered, so if you'd like your food faster, order inside. We all are familiar with fried chicken and Jolibee is no different. Their regular/original chicken (I got a leg for this one) tasted pretty standard (better than KFC but not Popeyes good) but the spicy (thigh) was actually pretty flavorful albeit really mild spicy. I actually like the spicy piece better than Krispy Krunchy Chicken and Church's. I would definitely get spicy every time I am craving 'Filipino' fried chicken. I do enjoy the idea of dipping me fried chicken in some gravy; it's not as heavy-tasting as ranch or contemporary American-fusion style sauces and it really helps cut that greasy mouth feel when you're slightly getting tired of fried chicken. The mashed potatoes were great (tastes like rehydrated powder taters) but I'm a sucker for mushy food and their gravy has a nice and not-so-salty flavor that pairs well. I really enjoy the fried apple pies that McDonald's used to serve and I had expectations that this was going to be the same. The crust was great; I feel it wasn't fried with the chicken oil because it smelled pretty neutral. The filling however, was too runny and kept dripping with every bite. That was a turn-off honestly, and it was a bit too sweet for my touch. It felt like eating fried pie crust with syrup. Would not get again. I was very surprised they open Jollibee restaurant in Alhambra this location use be a Arby's restaurant when I heard they closing down Arby's and putting a Jollibee restaurant I have mixed feelings. I have eaten Jollibee in the Philippines I really enjoy very much. Also I have Jollibee here in L.A. My wife and I went to Jollibee this my wife first time at Jollibee when we it was pack a long line at the drive thru and inside the restaurant. I found a table and my wife was in line. My wife order the beef steak and I decided to the chicken sandwich and two mango pies and also the spaghetti with chicken. It is also across the street from Dog Haus. Parking can be found in a shared lot Wait Time: Came around 530 pm, I saw the long line at the drive thru. Thought to myself that maybe I should see how the line was inside. Turned out that it took about 5 minutes to get to the register and probably another 5 minutes to get my food. I can see this place getting busy... so come during non peak times. I also noticed that it is faster if you order inside compared to going through the drive thru (two lanes). Eventually, it'll become a bottleneck with when the two lanes become 1. Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with modern furnishings. Entertainment: Make sure you take a pic or two with Senor Jollibee before coming in to get your food. Service: Staffers were friendly and attentive. I didn't feel rushed when it was my time to order and the food came out at a decent time. Food Of Choice: I had the 2 pc. chickenjoy, one side (adobo rice), and a soda combo, an order of the sweet spaghetti (spaghetti topped with chopped hot dog, ground pork, and garlic mixed into a thick sauce made with banana ketchup and tomato paste), and one of their amazing peach mango pie. So good! So Yum Yum Yummy in My Tum Tum Tummy! Tip: Mix some of the spaghetti sauce into the adobo rice! You'll thank me later. My favorite fast food place during my childhood in the Philippines is now open in Alhambra, making it the closest Jollibee from home!  Officially opened Saturday, October 30th, 2021. 4 stars!!!! Jollibee takes over the old Arby's and love that the Alhambra Jollibee has a drive-thru!  So convenient and easy to get an order of Chicken Joy and Palabok noodles. If you're dining in, there should be plenty of parking available in the shopping center lot, which is also occupied by Ranch 99 and the Triple A office. The dining area, however, looked small from the drive thru area, so your best bet might be take out. If you've never been to Jollibee, I highly recommend getting the Chicken Joy, Jollibee's version of the Filipino fried chicken.  Love the Chicken Joy with just plain white rice as the side smothered with the creamy gravy.  The skin is always crispy and the meat is always tender and juicy.  Definitely comfort food!  Another must have item at Jollibee is the Pancit Palabok, my favorite version of pancit or Filipino noodle.  Soft rice noodles are topped with shrimp sauce, ground chicharon, shrimp and boiled eggs.  Jollibee makes a yummy and rich version of this noodle, pretty decent for fast food.   Disappointed to find out though that Halo Halo is now a seasonal item at Jollibee, planned on being offered only in the summertime. Halo-halo (translated to mix-mix in English), is the classic Filipino dessert featuring shaved ice and evaporated milk with sweet beans, coconut, tapioca, jelly,  fruits, flan and ube ice cream.  Don't forget to get it come summer. read more

I've had almost everything on the menu, todays visit was on the Pancit Palabok. clear noodles with shrimp, egg and pork. Really good!!!!! And the chicken, well, that's always a winner. So glad they opened one closer to my area! Stopped by around 6pm (bad timing due to dinner time/everyone getting off work) but their in door wait was only ~30mins for me. The drive thru was not even an option because of how ridiculously long it was. During the wait, staff came out and offered menus for everyone and was very apologetic for the wait. Upon entering, they all took health precautions and social distancing! Inside is very clean and smaller compared to their other location but still really organized! After ordering and as I was waiting for my order, the staff would offer me cups of water as I wait....A+ service! The food was still warm and mostly important the peach mango pie was still warm and gooey while I devoured everything at home. Most definitely enjoyed my visit and will be coming back. read more

The soul food of the Philippines. Jollibee is a fast food franchise restaurant. This store location has just opened recently and are very popular among locals especially among Filipinos. They're located in a large plaza on Main street in downtown Alhambra. It's interior was neat, clean and spacious given how small the restaurant. Moreover, they have a drive thru for your convenience. Staff were friendly, nice and followed health protocol. They offer a wide variety of food from chicken sandwiches, spaghetti, palabok, fries, juices, sodas, etc. Prices were reasonable. Please don't get discouraged by the low average ratings, it's all because they didn't do so well during their first opening. It is true that some popular items are always sold out but why are they sold out? Cause it's good! Fried chicken was good, crunchy and very moist. The mash potatoes was very buttery with good gravy. Never had Jollibee but saw the hype in sgv eat group for months so we decided to check it out before everyone in sgv finds out it's finally open. We got there around 5pm and stood in line for 5 mins before we reached the counter. Ordered their family pack B and our number was called within 5 mins. We were really impressed by their speed and organization especially for its first day in full operation. We were actually expecting a shietshow but everything turned out so well. The foods were piping hot and delish. The mango peach pie is a def must get! Service was outstanding. We dined in and a worker came by to wipe the table and the booth just before we sat down and he also checked on us while we were eating. In addition, There were multiple workers manning the drive thru lines and surrounding - I had a stroller and a toddler, they went out of their way to make sure we were safe walking thru traffic/ parking lot. I also got a 6pc just to try it out first. I actually had it once in the Phillipines but it was not good at all. Lol! I'm not even joking. All we got was thighs and it was kind of dry. Seriously, made the Phillipines look bad! And it was our last meal before our flight back to LA. Haha Anyway, I ate the sandwich right the way so I can taste it while it's still fresh. Customer service was at an all time low. I am not sure if the front counter staff had their critical thinking cap on or management covering that shift needs a refresher on how to manage. It has been observed they can execute orders that involve fried chicken or spaghetti. But the moment it is outside of that it's all down hill. Our order consisted of fries and one of their angus burgers. All other chicken related items were on the tray and staff waiting for the remaining items. About 30mins surpassed and asked for status. Was told they are waiting on fries and the angus burger. I had to point out the fries have been sitting behind her for some time and basically she failed to check and or lacked attention to detail or the ability to multitask. Still waiting on the burger while burgers have been observed distributed to several other customers that ordered after me. Was told they will bring out the burger to our table. I am very forgiving and understanding when it comes to mistakes and quality control for restaurants and fast food eateries. My previous visits to this store, I had food items missing (side of fries, chicken sandwich, Yum with Cheese) but did not write about these experiences, nor call and complain to the store. My experience tonight, I had to write about my experience because it demonstrates lack of quality control, effort, and care. I order the 3 piece chicken tenders and when I opened my box, it was very sad and pathetic. Two of the strips looked dehydrated and the other one was broken down into popcorn chicken that could add up to a strip if you line them up together. The chicken was really dry, with jerky like texture and my dipping sauce was missing, which was very much needed. It's unfortunate that someone representing Jollibee would be fine allowing this product be given to a customer. She has 2-3 cashiers, and a drive thru orders as well as 2 constant kiosk orders. Roxanne, look at the line and all the orders you have! Don't just focus on the chicken getting into the bucket! I gave this place a try on a weekday at around 5pm without having to wait in any lines at the drive thru. Unfortunately during my visit, they were all out of spicy chicken. Jollibee newb here! Well not anymore after today haha ~ I've wanted to try forever but it was always crowded af. I was in the area this afternoon and the drive-thru was chill so I decided to stop by. I tried their 2 pc combo (1 regular 1 spicy) + spaghetti. The chicken was on point and loved the little flag indicating spicy haha The biscuit was legit and enjoyed the gravy side. Upgraded the side for a small fee to try the spaghetti which was okay ~ didn't realize cut up hot dog was in it lol knew it would be a little sweet and was better than I thought it would be. I'm still curious about their tenders and yumburgers... Portions, quality and taste was aligned! Wonderful service too so kind (thanks Grace!). Forgot to take pictures of the food! Came on Monday around 10:45 in the morning (before the lunch rush) for their official grand opening day. It was still a little packed but not bad. We were second in line. Note that the employees are still getting used to their job so please be patient. We did wait a while as the cashier was still being trained and was asking quotations. Overall, waited about 10 minutes to order. Than about another 15 mins or so for our food. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich to try. It was tasty. I like that the chicken was marinated and coated with some spices. They even added some slices peppers for a little more kick. It was a good amount of spiciness, but I could hand gone spicier. The chicken is delicious and crunchy. We ordered half regular and half spicy. Both were equally seasoned well. The adibo rice is still bomb and would definitely continue to get it. The fried are not as salt as well so that was good too! Besides the minor wait, everything went well. Well definitely be back again when we are feeling for fried chicken. read more

Location wasn't the most clean but still decent given this is a fast food restaurant. Their chickens are crispy and well cooked. It's a bit salty. Gravy was good, still could be better. Great to have a Jolliebee in the sgv area! As a California native, the first time I had Jolibees was when I was in Singapore- and surprisingly enough, the taste is pretty similar. I always get the sweet spaghetti, chicken, and gravy! You cannot skip out on the gravy, I repeat, you can't skip out on it! There's tons of parking nearby, so eating in the parking lot, like we did, shouldn't be an issue if stomachs can't wait for the food...! I came to try the chickenjoy with palabok and soda, along with a peach mango pie. The wait was a little long, but in these COVID times that's to be expected and was not bothered by it. The food was a little underwhelming. I was a little disappointed they were out of spicy chickenjoy, but was content with trying the regular chickenjoy for this time. The chicken came lukewarm and not as crispy as I thought. There was a good flavor to it and it was juicy, but it was a little too greasy. The palabok was alright. The egg slices and shrimp were meager and small, the meat dry and shriveled, and the noodles overcooked. At least the sauce was garlicky and tasty! The peach mango pie was ok as well. There was lots of peach mango filling, but it was a little too sweet and runny. Overall it was ok but nothing worth raving over. I'd come back only if my friends really crave here again. read more

It could be because I am comparing it to pre-covid days and before fast food wages went up, but my god did their prices went up by a lot. They weren't previously stingy about drinks but now when we ordered a combo that came with drinks, we were getting a $.50- $2 charge depending on the drink because it's a "speciality drink." The gravy was also lacking in flavor. It feels like they're cutting out on ingredients. The chicken was fine though. It was super crispy. Their fries were also lacking in crispness and taste. Really decent for a fast-food restaurant. The chicken was tender and the skin was super light & crispy! Definitely preferred the chicken over Popeyes. The chickenjoy bucket comes with gravy on the side which paired so well with it (there was no need for ketchup). The pineapple quencher was basically pineapple juice so you're better off getting Tastea located in the plaza LOL; the peach mango pie was super yummy but kind of overpriced considering how small it is.
