Has a bit of a sweetness to it but I enjoyed it. The combos seem to be reasonable priced. Some things I'd recommend getting are the Coconut Dream Freeze(refreshing drink), Ube Pie, and Adobo Rice. Yesterday was actually my first time ever dining in at a Jollibee. I didn't realize it was a fried chicken kind of deal. I couldn't but help to compare it to KFC. Chicken: soooo juicy. I could actually taste the spicy in the spicy chicken! It's more of a mild spice, so I wouldn't worry. A really great touch is that the workers put a little flag on the spicy chicken to differentiate the spicy mixed in with the regular. Mac & Cheese: good, only ever so slight hint of sweetness. Mashed potato and gravy: I prefer KFC. The gravy was a bit too thick for me and also sweeter. Sweet cream cold brew: yum! Sweet. Even better than... Jack in the box? McDonald's? I think so. And the price wasn't too bad. Only 100 calories too! Restaurant: okay... I guess they're busy but they had plenty of workers. By the time we got there, rush was over because only one person in line and plenty of empty tables (also it was like 2:30pm. But all the tables were dirty. I was craving some fried chicken tonight so we order from Jollibee. We got their 10pc Chickenjoy Meal Deal with 3 pies for $32. Along with the spicy chicken and Ube pies, we also got adobo rice, french fries, and mashed potatoes. Their chicken wasn't very spicy at all this time. Their adobo rice wasn't as flavorful as before. Their mashed potatoes lacked gravy, but it helped that there was extra gravy on the side for the chicken. I think one of the best part of the meal was the Ube pie. I did like the fact that they fixed their all night issue so now you can order spicy chicken and edit the meal options online. All in all, it was a decent meal for $48. read more

So today, I decided to try Jollibee in Alhambra, CA. Wanted to purchase a peach mango and Ube pie. The guy taking the order was not very helpful or friendly. After picking up the order, the pies were not inside the bag. No receipt nor utensils. Had to drive back to pick up my pies. You would think he'd offer another pie for inconvenience, but he just walked away after he handed my pie and receipt with no apologies. That's not a good customer service. read more

No More Halo-Halo! Apparently they fazed out the halo-halo cold dessert drink off the menu about a year ago. Boo! I really hope Jollibee corp considers bringing back that tasty treat. I really like this Alhambra location. They are efficient and polite. The drive-thru is convenient. Also plenty of parking is always a plus! Their Chicken Joy is different. The SPICY chicken joy is yummy, but too spicy for little kids and non-spicy palates. It's definitely has a spicy kick on the batter and injected into the chicken meat. The regular Chicken Joy is bland for my taste, but perfect for the family. The Chicken Joy is meant to be enjoyed with gravy that comes with each meal and it's dark meat (thigh/leg) only. I like Jollibee's side options. The Jolly Spaghetti is Filipino style twist on spaghetti. I think it's good; not meant to be compared to Italian spaghetti. I dig it. I ordered Jollibee for lunch today via online. Placed my order with no issue but picking up my order was an issue. ETA for order was 15 mins so I leave work 20 mins later after placing my order and arrive at Jollibee 5 mins later. There are 2 other people waiting for their online order and there are no orders on the shelf. After about 20 mins I ask the other person waiting when they placed their order and they said noon as well and ETA was 15 mins as well and so we're both waiting along with an uber eats guy. I see the dining area being served and the drive thru but no one is placing any food for the online orders. Also when I walked in the drive thru line was very long and that's why I preordered my food before arriving at the restaurant. I approach the supervisor and inform her that 2 of us ordered our food 40 mins ago online and we're still waiting. She just replied with we're busy. I know you're busy but I've now spent 30 mins of my lunch waiting for my order that I placed 45 mins ago. Finally a worker approached the 2 people ahead of me and asked their names for their order. After she settled their orders she then approached me and asked for my order # and name. She had to look it up in the system and print out a ticket to prepare my order. I finally received my order after 50 mins from placing it online. I don't know if it's the Katseye collaboration why it was so busy but they definitely prioritized drive thru orders over online orders. By the time I left the restaurant there were only 2 cars in the drive thru. I should've just gone through the drive thru but I've also experienced jollibee where even going through drive thru they make you wait at a spot and wait another 10 to 15 mins for your order which I was trying to avoid since I was picking up food during my lunch break. Solid chicken is ... solid chicken. I hardly eat this dine-in, so most of this is based on the numerous times of take-out I've done. It's a solid fried chicken place where the batter is super crisp, and the inside is piping hot with smoke. Seasoned perfectly with a good amount of salt, pepper, and spices to make it full of flavor without overpowering the flavor of the chicken. What's really strange is that their gravy is complementary to the heaviness of the fried chicken, and even stranger that I'm not looking for some acidity to cut all the fat either. While hot sauce is optional, I still don't really feel like I need it either. Both are great to have limiting touching the flush and faucet. Howvee, restroom only has air hand dryer and I had to touch the door handle knob with my barehands since there is no paper towel. Not everyone will wash their hands after using the restroom-peeing, pooping, or whatever they do in the restroom. We love Jollibee! The food here is delicious. We ordered the Bucket Treat D, which came with 12 pieces of chicken, 5 adobo rice, and 5 mango pies. We came on a Saturday for lunch and there were only a few cars a head of us. We were excited to see a driver thru and assumed the service would be fast. There are about about 3-4 tables for four inside and a couple of patio tables outside. SIDES ORDERED - Fiesta Palabok. Thin glass noodles topped with orange-colored garlic sauce, pork, tiny shrimp, sliced boiled egg, and crunchy chicharron bits. Though the sauce has a slightly tinny flavor, the dish is good overall. - Jolly Spaghetti. Al dente noodles, sweet sauce with hint of spice, scant sausage slices, a smattering of cheese. Not the most amazing Filipino spaghetti, but solid. - Mashed Potatoes. There is something satisfying about this scoop of gluey, umami mashed potatoes paired with Jollibee's savory, sweet, and peppery gravy. CHICKEN ORDERED - Original. Crispy and juicier than the spicy chicken but less complex in flavor. On the first visit, it was also a tad salty by the time I finished the entire piece. On another visit (to-go order), it was perfectly salted. Pairing the chicken with the gravy takes it to the next level. - Spicy. The batter has more flavor, a light spice that comes through after taking a couple of bites. DESSERT ORDERED - Peach Mango Pie ($3.29). Crispy and flaky; deep fried, but not oily. I didn't have a very Jolly experience at Jollibee, Perhaps one of the worst fried chicken I've had in quite a while. I can only speak of the fried chicken, spicy and non-spicy and not for the other dishes like the spaghetti. When you go to a fried chicken place, the chicken itself should be their speciality. So I ordered the smallest bucket which is 6 pieces for 12.99 at the time of writing, so it's about 2.17 per piece of chicken. If you want to order less than 6 pieces, it's not possible. I ordered 3 original and 3 spicy. The original chicken is very bland and isn't season consistently. The breading is very inconsistent where some areas is really hard and crispy and some areas it's not. The skin also comes off in giant chunks when you bite into it. The spicy chicken is also I consistently seasoned where some parts is spicy and some parts are straight up bland. They also give you some gravy to dip the chicken which is okay. I don't like making my crispy chicken soggy. Eventually I started to just rip off the skin and the breading just to eat the meat. The restaurant is pretty small with a drive through. There is a also a small dine-in area if you want to enjoy it there as well. The parking lot is decent size, there are spots close to the 99 ranch part that have more spots. Service is slow, there is a sign that says there is a labor shortage and to please be patient. The chicken is pre-cooked and most of the time, someone just needs to pack it for you. There isn't someone working the counter all the time or the drive through taking orders so you'll see a long drive through line. It might be quicker to just park and walk inside to place your order. Overall, terrible chicken, slow service, inconsistent flavoring, and you can't get away with ordering a small amount. Highly recommend avoiding this place. But Jollibee's is now one of my favorites and I am so glad they opened up!! Their fried chicken is freaking yummy and crispy and not greasy. Their spaghetti is unique and had sausage and cheese!! How could it get better? Well, it also has a sweetness to it that might throw you off but I promise it tastes good and delicious!!! Can't believe I waited this long to try their fried chicken and other sides. Went to their new opened location in Alhambra, CA for lunch with my best friend, we ordered two chickenjoy perfect pairs, chicken sandwich and a dessert to try out as many as possible items we could. There are indoor seating and drive-through services. We choose the drive-through option as we need to hit the road shortly. The ordering process is quite smooth and fast and we couldn't wait to try these goodies.  1 piece Chickenjoy with Jolly Spaghetti & soda for $8.49:  He got the chicken drumstick and the skin is super crunchy and crispy even after 10 minutes drive, the meat itself is juicy and tender with lots of flavors fill up the whole mouth. it's definitely fingers-licking good. The sauce for the spaghetti is on the sweet side but the shredded cheese on the top balances off, the pasta noodles is perfectly cooked. It also served with loaded chunky slices of savory ham, ground meat and hotdog. What a feast!! 1 piece Chickenjoy with Palabok Fiesta & soda for $9.49:  I got the chicken breast, the skin is crunchy as the chicken drumstick, the meat inside is surprisingly moist and not dry like most of the chicken breast. I always curious about what Palabok is and I am so excited about tasting it. O.M.G....it is SO bomb!!! Everything bonds together so well and every bite is heavenly delicious. Palabok is a traditional Filipino noodle dish covered in garlic sauce, sauteed pork, shrimp, and egg. It is my new favorite thing now.  Deluxe Chicken Sandwich for $4.49: My friend also orders this extra sandwich to fill up his big appetite! It starts with a crispy and juicy hand-breaded chicken breast fillet, spread with umami mayo, topped with fresh sliced tomato and crisp lettuce, and served on a toasted brioche bun. Very flavorful and satisfying. All the crunchiness and freshness is so comforting.  Peach Mango Pie for $2.65: How can you not end a great meal with a nice dessert. We try the most popular dessert from Jollibee and we are not disappointed. This sweet and flaky pie is made with real Philippine mangoes. The outside is crunchy with buttery taste and the inside is really creamy and sweet, you can taste the chunk of real mangoes in every bite and they are so fresh and irresistible.  We are very impressive and thrilled to finally make a stop at Jollibee for our quick lunch.
