Came by because I'm on a mission to eat as many fast food Chinese food as I can! On the way from a park, I wanted some fried food and Chinese food, so we came by to order 2 two item combos and a fish and chips (3 piece). The ambiance of the place didn't look really busy when we came inside, they did have some tables for seating but not a lot, but there was quite a number of customers coming in for take away. They had bottled drinks available in a fridge which I didn't remember from last time as well as made it order boba drinks which I remembers seeing the menu. The staff would hep take my order and then plate it once the fish and chips was ready. I got chow mien for both combos and char siu, orange chicken, mushroom chicken, and teriyaki chicken. The fish and chips took about 10 minutes which they asked me if it was ok and yes I wanted it. I got my order to go and ate at the house. The fish and chips were huge, each piece was like the size of a fish! The chips were soft and some crispy, I think they were very good. The rolls were warm and made wonderful sandwiches out of the fish. The Chinese food was delicious, my son ate the teriyaki chicken and noodles. I loved the mushroom chicken and char siu, ate most of them! Orange chicken was good, but the other dishes were much better. Staff are super sweet and nice. We ordered catering for our daughter's first party and everyone loved their fried chicken, fried fish and fried shrimp. As far as I remember, this place is always the fried chicken and Chinese food dual. There's a Popeyes in the same parking lot, so maybe originally they felt the threat from Popeyes and try to expand the menu. What ever it is, I can ensure you two things: 1 the approach works just fine! And 2. Their chicken is head to head with Popeyes. Yes that good. I always come in and get a Chinese combination, 1 or 2 items, and add a couple of pieces of fried chicken to my meal. And boy they master the art of frying. Practice makes experts and you can tell why. Besides fried chicken, many of their Chinese food items are also deep fried, or deep dried during the process. The BBQ pork here is my favorite. You can taste the freshness of pork. I often taste the weird small of pork at other Chinese take out, but not here. Juicy and just right. Chinese salt and letter wings is another my favorite. Very odd they are right next to Popeyes but after seeing the reviews, I decided to give it a try! The lady that helped me was very nice. I did love the fact they made me fresh chicken when I ordered. Took a little time but it's always worth waiting for fresh fried chicken! Unfortunately, the chicken was extremely salty. All 3 of my family members couldn't handle how salty the skin was. After removing the skin it wasn't so bad. Maybe just a bad day? In my order was supposed to be bread or dinner rolls too according to the menu but they were missing. Disappointing fried chicken. Was warm, not hot. I guess I should have noticed/questioned the pieces coming out from a heat lamp that apparently wasn't so hot. We continue to enjoy this tiny place. I have tried other food here, and the fish and chips are also very food, blazing hot and full of flavor. But the fish does not travel well. Just order as much as you can eat on site. The fries are fresh and hot, and they are not stingy with the catsup. Usually Chinese fast food places have really greasy food displayed in front of you, but Louisiana Fried Chicken doesn't use as much oil as your typical franchise. I usually order the Chinese Chow/Lo Mein because it's plain and delicious. The party trays ordered here are very cheap compared to other places. These fried chickens aren't very popular on the west coast as compared to the east coast. But the fried chicken is very good here. They're a specialty on the east coast and they're craved for over there. The chicken is good here and they'll taste good with any Chinese dish that is served here at Louisiana Fried Chicken. I was told the wait was 4 mintues, but no problem, I like my food fresh from the fryer :). Portion was enormous for the price, which I am quiet surprised and pleased with. Everything was delicious. Shrimp was big, plump and juicy, and seasoning just right. Glad these were not those brined shrimp which is often used as many other place, which can be mushy and overly salted. Fries were crisp and fluffy center. Vermicelli was not oily, and I actually like it dry, so not going to complain about that. Boba milk tea was the best.
