Having been spoiled by the proximity of the Jolibee's in Woodside already, this was the perfect place to catch an afternoon snack...or small lunch with friends after a matinee movie. Went with my favorite order, jolly spaghetti, and as usual it didn't disappoint! Along with some pineapple juice (fyi, they charge 50 cents extra in Manhattan for pineapple juice) it was a good and filling meal. Don't expect the same amount of items as the Woodside location though. The menu here is much smaller. Seating is mostly two person tables with a large table in the back that can sit 8-9 people. Finally visited jollibee to see what the hype is about! This place was super busy on a Saturday night. We got the 30 dollar meals w 6 pieces of chicken, spaghetti and pies. Also an extra side of mashed potato. You can mix and match the chicken and the pies. So we got 3 spicy 3 original and one ube pie The spicy chicken was heavenly. It was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Reminds me of 麦辣鸡翅 in China. The spaghetti was also a reminiscence of childhood. Unlike actual Tomato sauce, this one is more like ketchup. It's just like the 比萨面包 I've had while being a kid, even the hot dog bites in it! The mashed potato hits the spot as well. Something in the mango and peach pie tastes artificial. This location has terribly slow service. They only pick one order at one time and if anything is missing you can see 4 employees standing around the counter just doing nothing. I only ordered a 2 piece and there was plenty of chicken, something might have been missing from an order before me. Being a Jollibee fan, I had to visit the one in Midtown on my trip to NYC. The food did not disappoint! They were out of chicken tenders and spicy fried chicken but I got a spicy chicken sandwich, fries, peach mango pie, and pineapple juice. We know that they specialize in chicken but their fries are really good too! With the meal you can choose soda or pineapple juice. I highly recommend the juice! We ate on site and I don't recommend that. The space is tiny -- it's basically a hallway with tables -- and the other customers were kind of unruly when we were there. Just order to go. read more

We observe all crew are so busy talking and not focusing on the needs of their customer. So we ignore it we think they still do their job perfectly, but sadly when we got home and excited to eat one of my burger have NO PATTY. This was happened second time around, since this is the nearest jollibee in our apartment, and we already complaint the first thing it happened we thought at this time they will pay attention but it seems they never learned and they dont care about customers complaint. The chicken is great. It's not overly seasoned. It's nice and crispy. The mango pie is a must. The hot dogs and spaghetti were great as well. What's bad is the service. It is a long wait just to place an order. The reason is you only have one person taking orders. Once she takes one or two, she leaves the register to bag orders. You'll be standing at an unmanned register just to order. Alot of orders are Doordash or Uber eats so that eats into the time they have to bag food. . From what I can tell they're 3 people short to handle the volume. The food is great but be prepared to wait up to 45 mins from ordering to getting your food. Whewww I had an interesting experience here today. I'll start off with the good! The employees were very nice and very pleasant! I preordered my food online and went to pick it up it wasn't ready yet which was cool. While I'm waiting what appears to be a homeless man walks past now let me explain the area to you. The front desk is where you walk up to order the side desk is apparently where they pack food for Togo orders. This area is open and people are walking in and out this hallways to pack food to go or to get their orders picked up. The man walks past us and he was pretty noticeable everyone was staring at him walk by he went to a corner did whatever then turned back around walking past the food area again as he walks past me he's coughing mouth open. I move immediately to my right and then he's walking past the guy next to me coughing again mouth wide open. Of course the Food Gods wanted to piss me off I'm looking at my food sitting there taking in all of this mans sickly cough because the bucket of chicken as you know is uncovered really just a piece of card board barely on it and he's walking past my food mouth open coughing. Only my food was open and sitting there of course seemed to be a new person training facing the opposite way. So a worker came towards my direction and I mentioned it to her (she was nice) and she immediately took my chicken to the boss. I see her going back and forth with her and they turn around and ask me did he touch it? There's a whole pandemic outside whether he touched it or not there is uncovered food out with a man openly coughing near it. Next thing you know I heard the woman say Ma'am I'll just replace the pieces on top....... ...... I said please replace it all and she turns and replaces just the top pieces it looked like by putting them BACK in with the other chicken sitting there. At this time I'm also noticing flies flying around my pies that are still sitting there (the pies have holes on the side of the box is all I was thinking). The whole experience was just the worst. Filipino fast food chain. We decide to stop by for lunch today. Not crazy line, and food serve very fast! We got 2-pc Chickenjoy with Jolly Spaghetti and 2-pc Chickenjoy with 1 Side . The fried chicken was amazing. Very crispy skin outside and the meat was very juicy. The meat was salty already, so gravy was not very necessary. I like spicy flavor more. The side we got fries, it was very fresh and crispy. Very similar like McDonald's. Spaghetti was pretty ok, nothing special, but taste much better than the frozen one for sure. This Jollibee was located at the corner of 8th Ave and 40th St. It was pretty small inside and the line to order was long. However they had a guy going through the line taking orders on an order sheet to help speed things up. Unfortunately they didn't have the palabok fiesta on their menu at this location. The guy told me that it was because they didn't have a full sized kitchen. Instead I went with their 1 pc Chickenjoy and spaghetti with pineapple juice. Once I got my order in and paid for the food, I was given a pager. When my food was ready, it was rather difficult locating a spot to eat my food. Fortunately a family at a small table was just ready to leave. The spaghetti was pretty decent with little cut up hot dog bites, but I still prefer their palabok fiesta. They offer you a ringer once you place your order and you can wait off in the waiting section ( lovely soft stools) for your meal. All this rave about Jollibee on Tik-Tok we had to try. The line to order was very long when we got there, and there was no place to sit. When we finally got to the front the staff was friendly and explained a couple things about the menu. We ordered the 10 piece bucket of fried chicken, the Jolly Spaghetti, Chicken Tenders, Large Fries, side of Gravy and 2 Peach Mango Pies. It took over 25 minutes for us to get our food and when we finally did it took them more time to give us a side of sauces. The workers were so overwhelmed with orders it was hard to keep up, they were definitely short staffed. Luckily, after waiting so long for our food we were able to get a table for the 4 of us. The three things we liked most were the fried chicken, gravy and French fries. The chicken was moist inside and crispy on the outside. The fries were shoestring (my fav kind), and the gravy was great we kept dipping our chicken in there. Everything else we ordered wasn't to our liking. The spaghetti was very sweet, and the chicken tenders were hard. We ordered large fries, and the portion size was like I ordered an extra small. Been here a few times since the first visit, it's definitely more organized than the initial opening. Usually there is 1-2 cashier that takes your order, you pay and receive your receipt and buzzer. In the waiting area, there are seats while you wait for your food to be prepared. If you eat-in, you might want to look for a table since it does get packed. I tried it for the first time and I am blown away. I ordered 1 piece of chicken joy with the spaghetti combo with the pineapple juice for about $9. It was very crispy and juicy on the inside. The pasta was sweet with hot dog slices on it. Very good. I heard they put condense milk in it but don't quote me on that. The pineapple juice was not overly sweet and was just right. This Filippino fried chicken fast food place finally opened in November - It is located near my church and I had been waiting since early summer for it to do so! I had heard so many good things I really wanted to try it for myself. I went opening weekend with a couple of friends and there was a short line outside. The line moved fairly quickly and the staff knew how to manage the crowd. We were given menus so we could figure out what to order. I was disappointed to see that they had a very limited menu - Not the entire selection like the one in Woodside, Queens. Once inside, we were asked what we would like to order, which they indicated on a slip of paper and gave to the cashier, which made things fast and easy. I ordered the famous fried chicken with spaghetti and halo halo and it didn't take long for me to get it. What took awhile was finding a place to sit for 3 people. Again, the staff was awesome and helped each group find seats. The fried chicken was great - Fried to perfection, juicy, tender, flavorful! It came with gravy but I didn't feel the need to use it. I also enjoyed the spaghetti which had little chunks of meat and covered with tomato based sauce, along with cheese on top. I normallly am not a fan of tomato based sauces, but I liked it in this case. It tasted sweeter and blended well with the meat and cheese. I wasn't that happy with the halo halo dessert because it wasn't authentic. It was essentially vanilla soft serve ice cream with a few toppings: Ube (sweet potato paste), red and green jelly, and pale yellow chewy sweet bean. The toppings were yummy but there wasn't much of it. I got to try the mango peach pie and I liked that better. There was with delightful taste of both mango / peach fruits encased in a buttery, crispy flaky crust. My friend had the chicken sandwich and declared it was the most amazing chicken sandwich he has ever had and it was as if the sandwich was touched by God. So, I came back recently to try the fried chicken sandwich with high expectations. I thought it was pretty good but not enough to earn THAT much praise. The chicken was quite thick and tender. It came with french fries and a lot of them. They were nicely crisp and fluffy. I also tried the adobo rice which had tons of seasoning and little bits of chicken throughout. I always saw a line or crowd inside or outside of the store - and decided to check it out one late afternoon. I ordered the 6 piece chicken bucket and it came out really fast (vs many others who were waiting around). I had 3 spicy and 3 regular. I'm a dark meat kinda guy and loved that all pieces were legs and thighs. The spicy ones definitely hit the spot. The regular ones with gravy were good too. Praise the fast food lords, there's a Jollibee in Manhattan. Not only that, but it's in Times Square, which is super convenient! I like Woodside but that's just too far for me to go to get my fix. For those who don't know, Jollibee is referred to by many as the McDonald's of the Philippines, but I personally think their food and service is of a much higher caliber. They're known for their fried chicken, which is tasty, but I'm really here for the spaghetti. Never heard of Filipino spaghetti? Then you need to try it. Now. It's the ultimate comfort food. Think regular spaghetti but with a sweeter sauce, almost ketchup-y, and ground meat, cheese, and hot dog/sausage slices. So simple but so tasty. It's by far my favorite thing at Jollibee and it goes really well with their pineapple juice. The peach mango pie is great, nice and crispy outside with hot, sweet, fruity filling, and I'll return to try the halo halo sundae (soft serve instead of shaved ice) and adobo rice. So finally tried Jollibee for the 2nd time in a long time. This time in Las Vegas and the 1st time in Manila. The chicken, although crispy didn't taste too fresh. The oil it was fried in was probably old. It came with mashed potatoes and the gravy. Putting gravy on the chicken made it a little more edible but since I was hungry I didn't want to order from another vendor. When I first had it in Manila, I honestly didn't remember whether it was good or bad; but I assume it's probably better in the homeland where it s a fast food staple. The peach mango is a favorite and I can see why. It's exactly like the fried apple Pie that McDonald's used to sell years ago. Wow it's literally been 10 years since I had Jollibee and I'm so HAPPY and EXCITED that they finally opened a store in Manhattan!!! To all my Filipinos out there, you know what I'm talking about! The place is right by the bus and subway station (Port Authority) on 8th st and near Time Square. It's right next to the Arby's so you won't miss it! The place is small and it's flocked by different people and not just Filipinos. Lunch time is super hectic and we even saw a line outside so go here when it's not prime hour. The menu is not the full menu. It only has chickenjoy, spaghetti, peach mango pie, gravy, pineapple juice, chicken sandwich, rice, some type of halo halo sundae, and a few others. The menu is posted by other people on this yelp page so feel free to look! We ordered the chicken joy and spaghetti combo and peach mango pie and pineapple juice. I got the spicy and regular chicken joy. When I ate the items I got, it took me back to childhood when I used to eat Jollibee in the Philippines. I miss that feeling of home. It taste just like Jollibee in the Philippines! Jollibee is like the McDonald's of the Philippines, McDonald's never got big there. By the way, we had to keep the chicken in the bag til we got to our greyhound bus and didn't eat them til we got home. We were in transit for about 4 hours and got home, microwaved it and it was still crispy - I was shook. The spaghetti also tasted good despite the transit home. I am impressed. On October 27th this location finally opened its doors to the public. Although there has been a location in Woodside since 2009, for a good number of Filipinos it was not the easiest to get to. Now this location being near major subway lines and Port Authority....it is a prime spot, and we were ready. Currently this Jollibee only serves a basic menu of fried chicken and spaghetti, with variations; e.g. fried chicken sandwich, as well as side items and desserts; e.g. rice, corn, peach mango pie. They state that eventually they should carry a full menu but for now this is where they are starting. And that is completely fine with me!!!! I'm just grateful that there is one that is easily accessible and can comfort me in an instant =D. The staff is extremely welcoming, the restaurant is very clean, and the food reminds me of home. It's more commercial than the Queens location and is bigger and cleaner. Per their other locations, they use a countdown buzzer to pick up your order in a timely fashion. The menu is minimized so you won't be able to get classic Pinoy staples like palabok. This Jollibee does have Filipino spaghetti though! Chicken is always on point with the crispiness and flavor. The operations here are atrocious. 1. People frequently steal the food from the online order shelf, so when the actual customers show up to pick them up, the staff has to remake the order causing more backfills and delays. The security guard hired shows up after a scene has been caused, clearly he's constantly slacking. 2. The cashier is unqualified. I've been here in a span of 7 months, the same cashier, still can't tell me what the prices are. 3. The menu is poorly designed. Every time I visit, there's at least two major arguments about price gauging. Such as premium side surcharges and unequal price bundles. I left my last visit because of a large verbal fight between a customer and the cashier. Now they don't let premium side add-ones to the biscuit combo 4. The orders are packed incorrectly roughly 20% of the time or more in my experience. I complained twice that I got fries instead of spaghetti as read on my receipt 5. Most recent experience: After you order spicy and have been waiting for 20 min. Staff says "Everyone who ordered spicy will have to wait 30 more minutes" 6. The staff is not equipped to handle online orders. This happens when the manager prioritizes short term revenue above operations. The staff is overworked with constant online orders. I've been waiting here, and 3 individual customers have been saying "I've been waiting for more than one hour" Who is the Operations Manager or manager of this franchise? Never heard of Jollibee until this location opened up and saw videos circling around social media. My husband and I decided to try it, see what the wave is all about. We got there around 1:20pm which is during peak hours. The line was pretty long but we went there to try so decided to wait and waited about 20 minutes prior to ordering. Once I place my order, waited another 15 minutes for the food since there was like 15 orders ahead of me. We left around 2:20pm and the line outside was like half the line when we waited. So if you can, definitely go maybe after 2:30pm during the weekdays. We got the 6 pieces bucket (half original and half spicy), peach mango pie and halo halo. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, the skin was so crispy and crunchy. I have to say, the drumstick is my favorite. Seriously, the meat is like fall off the bone and typically you do not use that saying to describe chicken! The peach mango pie, I love! The outside crust is super crispy and the filling is so good! It is a must get if you come here! The halo halo is not bad but of course I had better at Filipino restaurant but it is passable. My husband thought it was very satisfying after having the chicken. The place itself is not that big. It is only one floor with limited seating and a bit cramp. So probably more enjoyable during non peak hours so you are not bumping into people and their chair is not constantly bumping into yours as well. I mean it might be where I was sitting. Finally Jollibee has opened since I pass by the store almost every day. I had actually passed by it on the grand opening day but the line outside kinda scared me away. Well there was also a line outside when I was there today but I was determined to see what the hype was. The line outside did move fast as they let 6 people in each time and a menu was given to me. Once I was inside, a staff was ready to take my order which helped speed up the process. I decided to get the 2 pc chickenjoy w/spaghetti and drink. I first asked for diet coke and luckily I decided to change it to pineapple drink. It was very refreshing. Chicken lived up to its hype as it was very crispy and juicy. Spaghetti was not bad. The mango pie was amazing and very crunchy (a bit on the sweet side). I was disappointed that they ran out of all the sundae and vanilla twirl. Well it just means that I will have to go back. It was a mad house but it's definitely worth the rather short wait. read more
