I like that they opened a Jollibee location here, and one that has drive thru! I can get my fix or chicken joy, palabok, peach mango pie, adobo rice. It's good that they have sandwich offerings as well (chicken joy sandwich) to appeal to different tastes. Since they don't have Jollibee near me on the east coast, I had to give it a shot when I came to LA. It's a filipino fast food chain that a lot of my filipino friends rave about. They're not as common as say Burger King or Popeyes in LA but they are scattered throughout. I gave the spaghetti, fried chicken, and halo halo a shot. The meal is usually made to order so the food comes out hot. The chickenjoy fried chicken they serve here is right at the top of any fried chicken category. If you order the spicy, it does have some heat to it. The skin is crispy with a nice amount of crunch. I've only been served the thigh which is my favorite part of the chicken and it is so juicy and moist. The jolly spaghetti is decent with a sweet sauce, hot dog slices, and cheese on top. The halo halo was okay with some scoops of ube and beans with condensed milk I believe. I've also tried the palabok previously and I would say go with the spaghetti. While the palabok looks better visually with the egg, shrimp, meat sauce, and rice noodles; I don't think it's as tasty. I hope to try the Ube pie here the next time they have it! read more

Nothing spicy about the sandwich - it tastes like a regular chicken sandwich ( I expect and like a little kick when I order spicy food). Although I will say the sandwich tastes fresh and the chicken was tender and juicy. We tried Jollibee for the first time last weekend. The chicken joy was flavorful, juicy with crunchy breading. The spicy chicken had a lot of heat, which is what I loved. I finally got a chance to try this place after seeing all the Instagram reviews and it didn't disappoint. For $10 you can get a two piece meal with a biscuit and a side of your choice, a drink and a peach-mango pie which is rare with fast food, definitely get the spicy. What a difference proper management and a friendly staff can make for a more pleasant experience. About seven months ago I tried Jollibee's Cason location and it was bad. Staff was unfriendly, the chicken had no flavor and the spaghetti side was even worse. I was curious to see how this new location would compare and it's so much better! The chicken here is crispy, juicy and flavorful. The spaghetti side was much better but it's something I would have to be in the mood for. There is a processed Chef Boyardee quality to it I'm not crazy about. They don't serve chicken breasts only legs and thighs. If you want white meat you have to order the chicken strips, which is also pretty good. I tried the Ube pie this time. It's interesting but not something I would order again. There is a bit of an odd fermented flavor to the Purple Yam filling. Is this the best fried chicken I ever had? No, but it's definitely a tasty option if you are in the mood and in the area. I just hope this location doesn't slack off and end up like Carson. And by the way, best fried chicken I ever had in my life was at Willie Mae's Scotch House in New Orleans. I'm in Torrance, visiting from Texas & saw the long line at this place, so I had to check it out. That long drive thru line actually proved to move fairly fast (5-7 mins). I order the spicy 2 piece and adobo rice at the recommendation of 1 of the managers that was outside leading. I was not disappointed. The spicy was good but not over season. I normally don't even eat the skin because the flavor is not worth all the added calories. In this case, I ate it ALL! The gravy was a nice add that leveled up the already good chicken. And the adobo rice had a good, unique flavor as well as some sort of meat that was not chicken. The only recommendation for improvement here would be to add a non-carb side as well as make the spicy available in white meat, too. read more

Drive through was quick, the menu options seem higher then other locations but maybe I could be tripping. Food quality was the same as the other locations. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Overall a good experience no complaints. The pies are delicious you definitely need to get one. read more

Finally a Jollibee in the SouthBay. It was hard having to drive by that other Jollibee near that ikea. The chicken is really good and the pineapple water is legit made raw without additives. They literally cut the pineapple and make it water. The staff is really friendly but they shouldn't have to wear those mask while outside in July, that's just cruel. Order a six piece chicken tender said it would be a ten minute wait got to the window to pay and the chicken tenders were ready no one else in drive through line... I said I thought it was a ten minute wait they said no they're ready....
