I grew up eating Jollibee in the Philippines and am glad we have 2 branches in the area... I love their chicken and burgers but im not a fan of their spaghetti. My chicken came hot and crispylicious but my Angus burger came with only a little lettuce. (just for a decoration???). My husband yumburger didn't look appetizing at first but the flavor is there. First time eating herr. Always see, but now my kid asked if we could eat there. Parking is a bit congested due that In and out is next door and the drive through line cuts through there parking. But I side the place is clean and welcoming, the cashier was very kind and patient and help as we let her know we're first timers. Seating is limited and ther is no outside sitting so that was a down side, but we luckily got a table. I paid an extra $1.50 for an adobo rice side and opted for a peach mango pie. I got spicy chickenjoy, which honestly wasn't spicy at all...but the chicken itself was wonderfully crispy and juicy, maybe better than KFC's! Adobo rice was flavorful, but a bit too dry. Come for the chicken, stay for the Yumburger! Jollibee chicken is way better than that other fried chicken place that's from the South (that stuff is so salty). But really, really love the Yumburger. The meat is tender, onion-y, and delish - more like meatloaf. I get mine without cheese, because I don't think it needs it with the meat and sauce. This is a pure burger, no veg. If you want veg in your burger, order the Deluxe Angus burger. My daughter likes their chicken sandwich and Jolly Spaghetti the best. The spaghetti is like perfect kid food, and the chicken sandwich is filled with juicy white meat chicken. It's more chicken than bun. If I have room for more, I get their pineapple quencher or their mango peach pie, but to be honest, I also like their passionfruit iced tea. Wish they would serve Halo Halo! The good: This was my first time at any Jollibees. I've heard mixed reviews a out them but overall was more pleased than I expected to be. I got the ten piece family pack chicken bucket that came with spaghetti and 3 pies. I liked we could do half regular and half spicy wings. They separated the wings inside the bucket with a wax paper and also labeled the spicy ones with a flagged toothpick. The spicy wings were spicier than I expected. The chicken came with two containers of gravy. The wings were crispy and not too salty. They were better than I expected them to be. The drive-thru was convenient and super quick. They had our order ready in record time. The mango peach pies were my favorite. The inside was just ok but the pie crust on the outside was fantastic. The bad: I knew the spaghetti would be sweet based on what others told me but at first I thought: "hey this isn't too sweet." The next day, I had spaghetti leftovers and man, it was overwhelmingly sweet. I couldn't stand eating it. The sausages were fun though. The meal was $54 which was pricier than I expected. So excited to see a Filipino staple open up another location after only having the one in Carson for so many years, ordered a 3 piece chicken today with a side of spaghetti and the food came out hot and fresh in a short period of time. The worker was quick to repeat my order back to me to ensure that everything would come out correctly. I miss the old spicy seasoning they used to have but I do have to say this new spicy chicken packs a kick so be mindful if you do order it! Restaurant is nice and spacious with lots of seating and it's located within a plaza with tons of other businesses but I haven't had issues with parking so far. I don't know why there's a few reviews with low ratings, I don't mind paying a slightly higher price for my food especially knowing it's high quality and packed with tons of flavor. read more

Torrance Food Crawl #415 Jollibee is a Filipino fast-food chain with over 1,500 worldwide locations. They entered the U.S. market a little over 20 years ago. I remember going to one of their early branches on LB Blvd in Long Beach about 20 years ago and thinking that the menu probably felt very comforting to Filipinos and the type of food they grew up with, but I didn't take to it. Now, they've started a wave of expansion, including this location in Torrance. First off, the best item I've had here was the fried chicken. There was once a time when KFC was the primary chicken fast food option. Now, there are lots of places that offer high-quality fast-food chicken. The Chickenjoy fried chicken managed to keep a crispy skin and a juicy interior. On several occasions I've bought the 10-piece bucket for me and others, and every time I've heard comments on how much the others like the chicken. There is a spicy version, which is mildly spicy, but nowhere near the heat you would get from Nashville chicken. The chicken also comes with a gravy for dipping, and while it didn't add to my tasting experience, I've been a little surprised that many other people loved the gravy. There are several different sandwich options. The chicken sandwiches are very good. Hamburgers are available as a very basic Yumburger, a cheeseburger version, a Double Deluxe version, and an Aloha Yumburger which almost comes with too much, double meat patties, double cheese, lettuce, bacon, and pineapple. The most novel menu items are the ones tailored to a more Filipino audience. The Palabok Fiesta is described as "a traditional Filipino noodle dish covered in garlic sauce, sauteed pork, shrimp, and egg," and it looked a bit of a mess. I didn't care for it much, but I'm sure for Filipinos, it is very much in the category of a comfort food. Some other Filipino-inspired items are the Pineapple Quencher drink, which is very refreshing, and fruit pies that have included the popular Peach Mango Pie, but I've also had Banana Langka and Coconut Pineapple pies. The Spaghetti is another menu item that is almost a Jollibee exclusive for a fast-food chain. The Spaghetti was topped with a sweet red sauce, with bits of ham, ground meat, and hot dogs. Six-year-old Mark would have loved this dish, but senior citizen Mark just found it amusing that this item is on the menu. I am a huge fan of Jollibee so I decided to go to the drive thru. I even drove from Beverly Hills to get here but I was extremely disappointed. Drivers thru line was short and my order was fine so I decided I wanted to eat inside but when I came in, this homeless was clearly going to disrupt my dinner, the staff didn't even direct him outside. I decided to take my food to go. Then the food quality was terrible. Palabok was too salty and the fried chicken was weird pieces. Not a drum or a wing. Just weird. If you didn't already know, "Jollibee" is a Filipino chain of fast-food restaurants. There are about 1,500 Jollibee outlets worldwide. Jollibee's expansion in the US is relatively recent. There are only about six locations in southern California. This Jollibee location has been open for a while now. But this is my first visit. On this visit, I wanted variety. I ordered a combo meal that included 2-pcs of fried chicken, spaghetti and soda fountain drink for $14.29 (Meal = $12.99; tax = $1.30.) The fried chicken was per the Jollibee style. The flavor is slightly different than the other major brands you're familiar with, but not so different that it's exotic. Jollibee also gives you brown gravy to put on your fried chicken. The spaghetti is definitely different than what you might be used to. Visually, the sauce looks more brownish than reddish; and instead of a predominant tomato flavor, the sauce taste "beefy". Slices of "sausage" look like slices of hot dog. Nonetheless, I find the taste pleasant. It's comfort food. This store is a new build, so it's fresh and shiny. The service was good. The store has the Jollibee peach mango pie; but it also omits some menu items I've seen in other stores (probably because they thought it wouldn't move well in this market.) read more

I bought the spicy 3 piece only. I asked the lady at the drive thru window how spicy is it. She told me about a 7 out of 10. She was correct. I like my spicy a little less spicy.
