This place is my favorite go to spot. It never disappoints. I always want to try something different, but the chicken and waffles with that delicious gravy is my go-to. I also have to add a mimosa, which has a wonderful price. Wait staff is very attentive and the greeter always has a smile and good conversation. You can never go wrong by eating here.

Great place! Large portions and relaxing atmosphere. The chicken fried chicken and eggs over easy, delish!

Chicken salad was good. Service was fast. Waiter was a little annoyed I wanted to change my cheese to Swiss and I saw her making fun of me but other than that overall the food was good.

I haven't been to Jonathon's in years since they have moved locations but the food tastes just as good. Big servings for a reasonable price. Also service was moving well for it to be so crowded. If you like the diner feel then you will appreciate the feel of the restaurant.

My daughter and I decided to brunch here today. I haven't been to Jonathan's since they moved locations. It's more spacious than the last place. It's really nice and simple. Service was good and everyone was helpful. The food and menu was the same which is a good thing. I was really glad they didn't make drastic changes to the food/menu like most places do when they get bigger establishments. The food is obviously a little pricey but the portions they give you have VERY decent. Worth the money. My only complaints are the Steal Oats had no flavor. They were cooked right and had good looking toppings but bland, and the Latte with salted caramel was too sweet and left a weird aftertaste. I would probably never get their coffee again. My daughter said the gravy was also very bland and seemed to be missing something. Other than that the food was good. We did order a Chicken Fried Steak and eggs with a side of pancakes to go for my son. The steak is huge! It was the size of the container. So overall the food is good but certain things could be better. We'll be back.

Cute little diner! When out of town I like trying small locally owned businesses. This one was near our hotel and had good reviews and I'm glad we stopped by. Standard breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast. LOTS of bacon on my plate! The waffle was good. The Caesar salad was fresh and tasted like homemade dressing. Great service too!

Do NOT eat here. I use to love it but once you find a cockroach in your food it's all over!! Shows how downhill they have gone.

Was told it was a good spot to check out on Sundays and it did not disappoint! $5 Mimosas and had a nice variety of options on the menu. I got the breakfast tacos and swapped my chopped potatoes for fries instead. Great flavor on the fries as well. 0 complaints. Excellent service even on a busy Sunday afternoon. Would recommend. Visited Jonathan's with my sister for brunch. We were greeted as soon as we entered. The server was amazing and prompt. I ordered the chicken fried steak with the Mailimosa- chef kiss! I loved the diner vibe.

Let me tell you now. This is the best breakfast spot in Dallas! I came here randomly after yoga and when I say everything I ate was a 10/10. It was a 10 out of 10. Our service for a Saturday morning was really good & our food came out fast. I ordered the Breakfast with brunch potatoes , scrambled eggs with cheese and their pancakes! Everything tastes soooo homemade like your mama made it! I got full so quick and they give you a lot of food. Jonathon's definitely will be seeing me again. It's a diner still so it's not loud or anything. Also they close at 2:30 so come before that!

Paradiso has a unique feel because it has as much well-designed space outside as it does inside. The patio area feels more like a garden than patio. Even in the crazy Dallas heat you'll find people eating or cocktailing al fresco. The bar area is beautiful. It's covered in flowers and fun European style furniture. The bartenders were knowledgeable and fun to hang with because they clearly enjoy talking about their craft. Nothing worse than a bartender that is too important to chat it up with their customers. I had a delicious signature recipe called Dreaming of Suze (pic 2). It immediately caught my eye because Suze is a staple in our bar. It's a yellow French bitter liqueur you don't regularly find out at restaurants. I've never seen anyone infuse it. They complemented Mezcal with strawberry-infused Suze, sage syrup, lime and strawberry puree served in a tall glass over ice. It was a nice summer recipe and one I will definitely try to recreate at home. My second was a classic old fashioned made with Basil Hayden bourbon (pic 4) It was delicious and well-balanced. If you're in Dallas and want a change of pace from the usual, go down to Bishop Arts and take in the eclectic flavor while enjoying all the shops, restaurants and some cocktails at Paradiso. We let our server know that upfront, and while we were seated in the dining room without issue, the experience quickly went downhill. From the moment we mentioned happy hour, the tone shifted. The server spoke down to us for the remainder of the visit. As an interracial couple, it was especially uncomfortable that when discussing happy hour and pricing, he directed everything toward me (the Black partner), but when it came time to pay, the check was brought to my partner. That inconsistency didn't go unnoticed and felt like profiling...plain and simple. Service timing was also rough. Our old fashioned took about 20 minutes to arrive, and the food took 45 minutes to an hour...despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Throughout the meal, staff repeatedly tried to clear our plates when we were nowhere near finished, which made the whole experience feel rushed and unwelcome. Food-wise...credit where it's due. The Bolognese was fantastic. The fried chicken sandwich was just okay...no real seasoning or noticeable brine, though the hot honey it was tossed in was great. The old fashioned tasted watered down, even though I know it likely wasn't...just poorly balanced. We both work in the service industry, so we're understanding of small hiccups. But this wasn't that. This was poor service layered with uncomfortable behavior. If happy hour is offered, it shouldn't come with judgment...train your staff accordingly. Unfortunately, this isn't a place we'd return to. Being made to feel profiled and unwelcome on what was supposed to be a celebratory night isn't something we're interested in experiencing again.

Intimate conversation isn't possible due to the decor failing to absorb sound - very industrial. If you like fine dining, unique flavors, and good service, then don't dine at Stock & Barrel. I sure won't. This restaurant has more in common with Michelin Tires than Michelin Stars. My very first bite of "crispy" polenta was so hot it burned my mouth (and was obviously reheated in a microwave) and had zero flavor. It took about 20-30 minutes to get a drink. I ordered the batch valentines cocktail listed at the top of the menu. My server forgot to bring it with the other drink, so that took another 10 minutes. Before I discuss my food issues, I want to let everyone know that the Spicy Tuna Tartare Tostada was actually very good. I enjoyed it. I was so hungry - the prix fixe menu was very small for $115 per person. I was never offered the wine pairing, which I would have done going into the experience. I'm glad that I didn't because wine couldn't save the food. After the first bite I hate to report that the rest of the food was also bland, burnt, and disgusting. My crispy duck confit was SCORCHED. The duck was dry. The kumquat sauce was the only flavor on the main course. The quinoa risotto was dry and flavorless. Very disappointing and underwhelming. Next, I was praying this bread pudding situation was going to leave my experience on a good note. Nope. They sliced a French bread baguette, burnt it, scooped melted ice cream on top and random unmelted chocolate chips. That's embarrassing. Not only is this not bread pudding...it's not fine dining. It was gross. Zero out of 5 stars. Do not eat here!

Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K
