So glad there a Jo's Coffee down south. Breakfast tacos and burritos. Coffees. Pastries. All available inside or via drive through!

My first trip to Jo's Coffee was very underwhelming. While the coffee was fine and the new location was clean, they were out of many food items by the time I stopped in. For food, I ordered a hash brown breakfast taco and was SO disappointed. It had been premade and was sitting in a warmer. It's giving GAS station. The taco was mushy, flavorless, and way too small for the price. Yes, the coffee was fine (I got the honey lavendar latte off of the specials menu) and the barista was nice enough. But there was nothing that stood out enough for me to go back. Solid 2.5-3 out of 5 stars.

Had a great experience here this morning! Quickly stopped in around 8:15am and didn't have to wait too long. This location is kind of in a weird spot, and if they get as busy as, say Chick-Fil-A does at lunch time, I can see how things could turn hectic. There's not a lot of places to maneuver your vehicle if you're trying to enter the drive-thru line, so I'd recommend coming during off-peak hours. I just got lucky today. If you're exiting the drive-thru line, I highly recommend turning right / driving out on Menchac going south -- if you exit the drive-thru line turning left, and a line has built for the drive-thru, you will have to wait until the cars move. Just a minor annoyance but the way people drive these days, everyone is in a hurry and everyone is first. Ordered a breakfast taco and latte and both were delicious. Next time I'll ask for my latte extra hot, it was just warm when I took the first sip and I like my coffee HOT. Very friendly service, too!

Service was decent, coffee is meh. The tacos that are terrible and super tiny and are probably the worst I've had in Austin.

We seriously love Diana for her recommendation got the knuckle and the veggies. Knuckles was perfect lettuce and perfect meat ratio. Not too much lettuce and very generous with meat. The cheese crisps was so so so so good and just made the perfect crunch. The veggie though was so so amazing I have never had such an amazing artichoke sandwhich it was so good. If your taking it to GO and eating later let them know and they will pack the soggy stuff separately. Once again we are in love with this sandwhich and its definetly a must ever time in Austin. Thank you Diana and team for the best sandwhich ever !

The fresh herbs were a bit excessive on the lamb sammie. Would have liked the lamb to be the dominant flavor, not the mint.

Always the most in-season veggies, freshly made salad dressings and it was just all the things I LOVE and really miss being so land locked here in Central Texas. 8/10. Snarf's is known for their award-winning menu featuring oven-toasted sandwiches on fresh-baked bread, entree-sized salads, phenomenal soups, desserts and more. They serve premium carved meats and cheeses sliced right off the block, and veggies are chopped fresh every day. There was plenty of parking available out front. The sandwich shop has a fun eclectic vibe and is very colorful. The staff was friendly when taking my order. I ordered the Snarf's salad to-go with turkey, ham, American and Swiss cheese with tomato, onion, hard boiled egg and chopped bacon. I added avocado which was a bit pricey at $2.50. The salad was fresh and crisp and very large portion size with lots of toppings. I had ranch dressing and there could have been more dressing for the salad size. Also would have preferred purple versus white onion. Order came out quickly and was packed and secure. Great value with the birthday reward. I was able to enjoy my salad at home and the portion size was large enough for two meals. Overall, enjoyable experience and one of my favorite sandwich shops!

Last week I was on a break from keto, and my husband read my mind. He took me here as the first stop on a rainy Friday night date. I know they have good sandwiches, but they also have their "bait shop" schtick. They're not near any significant fishing spots, and I didn't see any evidence of bait, but whatever. Their sandwiches are good, so they can get away with it. While I ate my sandwich on the patio, we discussed the novelty nature of many Austin businesses, and which ones can hold up and which ones are pure hype. I ordered the Club sandwich. It's not a true triple-decker club, but it was the sandwich that had the best variety of fillings in my opinion. Everything you'd expect in a classic club, but easier to eat because it wasn't stacked absurdly tall like other clubs. The sourdough bread was very crispy, and the meats, cheese, and vegetables worked well inside. On the side I got potato salad which I like more than their other option, which was chips, but the potato salad wasn't anything special. Their patio was the perfect spot to enjoy a rainstorm. They have some glider chairs off to the side that are good for lounging on, but when it really started to rain we moved in to the center of the patio. I'm glad I got a chance to try Handsome Dan's. I doubt I'll be back anytime soon because huge sandwiches like this need to be an occasional treat for me, but if you're in the Springdale area looking for a satisfying meal, this is it!
