Just left that place they were having computer problem because they were over taxing their customers. And the young lady ask if we could wait until they could get it straighten out which was fine. I was shopping at the Dollar Tree and Grocery Outlet and was very hungry as it was after 7 pm, I could smell the food and decided to try Joy Teriyaki for the first time today. I got the chicken bowl to go and decided to substitute the rice for stir fried vegetables. When I got home I was disappointed, there was a lot of water in the bottom of the container (it definitely wasn't sauce) and when I tried it the food was merely ok not great. This wouldn't have meant a bad review, I probably just wouldn't have left one, except I found hairs in my vegetables. As they weren't in the meat I ate that but as I'm still hungry will be figuring out what to make for dinner. read more

Thought we'd give this place a shot, as we were looking for something quick, but not the same old fast food. We were very pleased with the food portions for the price. The spicy chicken and pork were delicious and fresh. The panko shrimp and grilled shrimp were also very good and perfectly cooked. The fried rice was phenomenal! And I don't even LIKE fried rice!! The meats were all tender and not overly salty, like most teriyaki places' meats seem to be. The food was hot and quickly served. We will definitely return! read more

Food is pretty good. However, pretty irritated that they say they open at 10:30 and when I show up at 11:15 they inform me that they won't be ready to cook for another 20 minutes. While I love Joy Terriyaki in general (other locations) this location has now "forgot" to put a paid for item in my last 2 orders. As a regular, this is extremely frustrating. The food is yummy...if you get it! My advice is to always check your takeout order before you leave the parking lot. Shame... if this continues I may need to go elsewhere. read more

I have been coming here for over a year and was really excited when it went in as it is within 5 minutes of my house. I can call in to place an order and pick it up on my way home. The quality of the food isn't up to the standards it used to be when it first opened. They were out of beef teriyaki, a staple of the place, last week. Tonight we arrived at 8:40 and the doors were locked. There are VERY LARGE signs on the doors stating that they are open until 9. Two customers and three employees were still milling around the place. Locking the doors 20 minutes prior to close is a little too much. Service was great. Friendly and fast. Food was dreadful. Mongolian beef tasted more like beef jerky in a sauce. So over cooked it was dry and crunchy. Egg rolls were soggy and tasted like the oil had been used for months cooking raw fish. You can find better. read more

We liked this restaurant when it first opened up but not any more. It seems like the service has declined and that the employees are more focused on what's going on in the kitchen than in the service being provided. We had a simple to-go order: chicken teriyaki and (4) miso soups. After driving 20 minutes home we found that we only had 2 miso soups. This was incredibly frustrating as the whole point of going there was to bring home miso soup to my sick wife and kids. As I took a closer look at my receipt I realized I had been overcharged on sales tax. I called to complain and the person I spoke with (who was very polite) said that their system is set up to charge 9.5% sales tax and seemed confused when I informed her sales tax in Clark County is only 8.4%. We're talking about 19 cents on my order so it's not a big deal but it adds up over time (who knows how long they've been doing it) and the fact that they are unaware of how much the sales tax should be is unacceptable. For the most part I love going here. My only problem is the food comes out at different times. If you have a party of 2 or more half of the people are going to be halfway through before the food comes out. Yesterday I ordered several items to take out and I was told it would be a 15 to 20 wait so I sat on the bench next to the cash register. 40 minutes later when I questioned when my order would be ready the guy who took the order told me me called out my order and someone took it. First of all that was a flat out lie as I was sitting right there and he seemed to know who else ordered other food. The restaurant has always been unorganized but I have put up with it as the food is not bad. I was very excited to see this place come to the neighbor hood. I am / was a very frequent customer. Recently I was waiting for my food to go and I was sitting on the bench in front of the kitchen doorway. I was really shocked to see the filth. Much of the grease and food build up on the grill and floor looked like it has been there for a long, long time. I tried to contact the Joy Teriyaki offices and I can not seem to get any response. I took photos with my phone to send the corporate offices so they might contact this Hazel dell location and discuss cleaning and good food hygiene. I sure hope this location gets cleaned. read more

My family and I went in tonight and were less than impressed. We have been in a couple times before right after this location opened. They were so great. Tonight not so much. The floor was sticky everywhere we walked, almost every table was dirty, the chicken we got tasted like it was cooked on an old dirty grill, the soda was watered down. My first time trying this. I was on the go shopping and wanted to get a quick bite. I really wanted to like it. While I waited there was nice ambience, piano music playing which I enjoyed. But after sitting at my table for what felt like an eternity, I was getting impatient. Seemed like people were coming and going around me getting food before me, which was annoying. And then I finally got my yakisoba with vegetables and tofu... initially I asked if it came with vegetables, the server told me yes it looks like this and pointed to a picture of noodles and vegetables. There were 2 particles of broccoli and some oily cabbage and some other oil-soaked particles of veggies... definitely not what I was hoping for. Very oily, not very satisfying... and the wait was ridiculous. Slow food at fast food quality and twice the price. Bummer. Left me craving a salad... and I couldn't finish it because it was too oily, but I was still hungry. Not going to recommend this place. read more

My husband is a very picky eater so it's hard to find a place to eat out at. Joy teriyaki is fantastic ! They have great menu items that my picky husband likes, I like and our 6 year old. The teriyaki chicken and the egg rolls are my favorite and my husband always gets the spicy chicken bowl with yak idols noodles! It's always fresh and delish! We come here and get our order to go at least twice a month . Staff is so friendly and it's a bit of a wait but the freshness is worth it ! read more
