I normally don't give such low ratings but I couldn't give this place more stars because of the food and service. My friend heard from one of his friends about this new restaurant in Milpitas so we decided to give it a try and traveled from San Francisco. We arrived at the restaurant and waited about 15 minutes for a table since we were a party of six. The restaurant is not very big and they didn't have many large tables. Most of the tables were set up for four people. After we were seated, we waited a few minutes but weren't offered water so we had to ask a server for it ourselves. We ordered eight dishes in total. The pork kidney was very tough because it was overcooked so we had to send it back. The staff was able to remove it from our order. We also ordered two clay pot rice dishes. The cured duck and preserved meat clay pot rice was okay but the beef and ginger clay pot rice was not good at all. The beef was tough. The mixed roasted BBQ platter was not good either. It didn't taste fresh and seemed like it had been sitting overnight. The only dish we really enjoyed was the house special fish noodles with fish broth. We also ordered two steamed dishes. The steamed pumpkin with lotus seeds was very bland and not good at all. The other steamed dish was the steamed bok choy, which we thought would be good but we were disappointed. It was bland and dry. If they had added some sauce, it might have tasted better. We also ordered a fried donut but it never arrived, so we asked the staff to cancel it. I understand that this restaurant has only recently opened and I don't want to be overly harsh but both the food and service were very poor. When we asked for the bill, we were initially given the wrong one. In addition, the pork kidney that had been canceled was still on the bill and the fried donut had not been removed either. The owner came over and asked whether the bill was ours. It turned out that the server had given us another table's bill. Because we were busy chatting, we didn't carefully review the second bill after pointing out the missing adjustments on the first one. The owner then began correcting and instructing the servers at our table, which I felt could have been done privately after we left or in the kitchen. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was disappointing. Because there are so many other dining options available, I don't think I'll be returning.

Super authentic Chinese. The marinated ranch chicken was a standout with a ginger sauce that was to die for.

We also enjoyed the herbal roasted prime steak with sausage rice. The delicious rice had the taste of fish sauce. I came here on a Friday evening with my friend to grab dinner around 6:00 PM. The wait was around an hour, so be very prepared if you're coming during the dinner rush. This spot is located where the majority of the Asian restaurants are in Milpitas, so it's safe to say the parking can get a bit hectic and intense. The interior of the place is very bright, modern, and clean. There is a lot of seating for a small space, but the reason they are so busy has a lot to do with the number of people wanting to check this spot out. When you sit down, you scan their virtual menu via QR code and order there instead of through a server. You have the choice to order on one phone as a group or separately. Between my friend and me, we ordered a beef mint salad, fried tofu, confit mushrooms, and truffle mushroom rice. I will say that when we first got the fried tofu and confit mushrooms, we were quite surprised by the small portions compared to the price. That said, they were delicious, but skippable if you're trying to find the best bang for your buck. What I absolutely would recommend is their truffle mushroom fried rice. This might have been my best bite this month. It was so savory, the mushrooms hit perfectly, and the coating of butter on the rice was supreme. It was $28 for a bowl, but it was a good value to split between two people. Overall, this place had great, fast service (our food came out in under 10 minutes), a nice ambiance, and fresh, flavorful food.

In my opinion, their system for waiting for tables is a bit chaotic. They do not ask for your phone number; instead, they print out a receipt with a number and call it out when your table is ready. There is a monitor inside the restaurant that you can watch, but since it's so crowded and the way the system is displayed on the screen, it's kind of hard to tell what is going on or what your status is. Service-wise, it's exactly what you would expect from any Chinese restaurant serving dim sum, if you know what I mean. :) Inside, the restaurant is very spacious and large, and I am assuming the reason for the long wait is that it's one of only two places to get dim sum in Milpitas (the other being Mayflower in the other highly packed plaza nearby). They do not serve dim sum with the traditional cart system where dishes are rolled around the dining room. Instead, you order from a menu and mark down how many quantities you want of each item. My family got a variety of dishes, but I'll call out some notable ones: * Their shu mai was juicy and packed with meat, probably one of the best shu mai I've had in the South Bay. * Their har gow skin broke apart really easily, which bummed me out, but it was generously stuffed with shrimp. * My favorite dish was their purple rice rolls. It was basically a Chinese donut stuffed with shrimp and wrapped in a purple glutinous rice roll. * The chicken feet were very balanced and not too sweet. * The truffle scallop dumpling had a rich mushroom flavor, and the scallop added a nice flavor profile. * The BBQ pork was coated well with the char siu sauce. It was tender and bold in flavor. Overall, my experience here was great, but I do not think it warranted more than a 30-minute wait. The food also came out a bit slowly in my opinion, but that was probably due to the high volume of people.

My honest description of it is ‍, the rice was well cooked, shards were fluffy and seasoned nicely yet that was it. The salted fish was rarely seen, youd only notice every 3 spoonfuls and the chicken was passable. Shrimp rice rolls and shrimp dumplings are my stable go tos, I've been eating these dishes since I was small. These two were a complete disappointment, the batter were both chewy and honestly felt TOO thick. Then it seemed like there was a batter of some sort on both shrimp fillings? This cause the shrimp to have bites that were EXTREMELY chewy, like why are rice rolls chewy??? Final bill was 150$ for mid food that came out late and poorly time. Would NOT come here again.

The food used to be fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. Lately, however, it feels like corners are being cut. Several dishes taste as though they are pre-made or frozen rather than freshly prepared, which has been disappointing. What makes this especially frustrating is that my group and I used to come here every Sunday and genuinely looked forward to it. It was a regular tradition for us. Sadly, the experience is no longer what it once was. I sincerely hope the restaurant can return to the standards that made it so popular in the first place. Until then, I'll be taking my dim sum outings to Walnut Creek instead.

Walking in feels like a full-service restaurant, yet the service model is different. It was new to me, and I assume this is a growing trend inspired by Asia. The food, however, was excellent. My family and I ordered the beef chow fun to evaluate their wok skills, and it definitely met the standard. In addition, the rice pot was very flavorful and well executed . The pricing was fair, especially considering the high rent typically associated with food plaza locations. I will definitely be coming back. One thing I hope to see in the future is frog added to the menu.

The food is superb and tasty and the ambiance perfect when not busy. I highly recommend coming here for an awesome food and chef to table experience!

It is in the same plaza as the popular porridge place and New China Tofu (where they used to sell Stinky tofu - but that is for a different story). The place is roomy and clean, the service was decent, friendly enough but we had to ask for sharing bowls and spoons. The order is the usual QR code so you order online, but pay offline. They have plenty of selection, but since it was just the 2 of us, and based on the name, noodles should be must orders. We had a soupy version (hot and sour fish) and a dry version (spicy ground pork), with a side order of cold appetizer (shredded tofu skin salad). The cold appetizer was a bit salty, but the overall flavor was pretty good. We added more chili oil that is available on the table. There was a wait between the appetizer and the next dish, we finished the appetizer before the first noodle arrived. Hot & Hour Fish - we selected the hand-cut noodles. The noodles were thick with just the right amount of chewiness. The broth was amazing with just enough kick, not too spicy. The fish was tender and the tofu was wonderful. The only "veggie" was the pickled/perserved mustard greens. We really enjoyed this one. Dry/Stir spicy noodles with ground pork - we selected the thick flat noodles for this. The presentation was beautiful and we could smell the chili powder and it was wonderful. A bit oily, which i understand as we need the oil to get the sauce mixed and noodles do not all stick together. The kick for this dish is actually less than the fish noodles, and not too salty, which was great after the salty appetizer and the strong flavor of the fish noodles. We did not finish and had to bring them back home. And we know we will be back!
