As a former service member myself, I try to be lenient and patient when it comes to matters of the kitchen in a restaurant. However, I counted 4 different times that the servers walked away from us while ordering. Please believe I am not exaggerating. One of us ordered calamari and the waitress told us it'd be an hour wait. It came out early, in about half hour. Not bad. Then we ordered 3 of the same beers only to have 2 of them come about a half hour, the last one coming about 5 minutes later. This is day 3 of them opening, they are half full and complaining of being too busy. We've ordered jalapeño poppers 40 mins ago, management said they would take it off our bill. They didn't. Tried to charge me for someone else's calamari. We ended up getting 50% off. Not coming back here. WARNING: They make lazy jalapeno poppers aka leave all the seeds in them. I'm a hardcore spice fan, and eating one of these was a task. read more

I went with a friend during a Seahawks game to try out the new taphouse. We arrived and went into the bar and sat down at the bar. We waited and looked at the taps while the bartender walked back and forth in front of us getting other people drinks, she never even looked our way. Finally she put two menus in front of us still not saying hi or even looking at us. We looked over the menu and found sandwiches and waited, and waited, and waited. Now we are sitting at the bar so she is working right in front of us the whole time. We finally just left before even being spoken to. What is with the décor? It is so bland it is depressing. And so are the bartenders. They were awkward and slow, slow, slow. We had a salad and a pizza. The salad was blah - and here is something else - they put the salads right up next to the food under the warmer so the salad plate and the salad was slightly warm. The pizza had a weird taste to it. Not a fan. I only give it two starts because it is new but I don't see how it is ever going to be a fun place the way it is now. I absolutely love JP's! Their beer selection is so extensive. The fried pickles are INCREDIBLE and the turkey club on sourdough melts in your mouth. I've taken several friends here and they are always impressed. I love their take out option too. read more

We waited for than a half-hour after getting a menu for anyone to come back and take our order--my friend had to track down a waitress and move from the bar where we were seated to a table to get service. I ordered the nachos and ate very little of it. How do you screw up nachos? The beer was overpriced. With tip, I'm out $25.00. I won't be returning. read more

After reading reviews and hearing from friends we decided to try JP's for dinner. Our waitress, Tiaray, was awesome and they have an impressive list of beers and the one we chose was good. However, the food was not great. I had the Reuben and my husband had the Philly cheese steak sandwich. I've had Reubans from many restaurants, including the east coast. The JP Reuben meat was very fatty and the sandwich had an odd sweet flavor to it, I didn't care for it at all. My husband's cheese steak sandwich was ok, not great and it was dropping lots of grease as he bit into it each time. We won't be back for the food as it was poor, we might return for drinks someday. read more

I came in with my girl really wanting a nice beer and a light salad after my workout at 24. Darius our server suggested a lot of great things to choose from. I decided on just a BLT with avacado. The menu has quite the variety, and everything is always amazing and reasonably priced. The drinks are well made and always on the stronger side :) servers and bartenders are always the best and super friendly like they actually love their job. This is our 2nd visit to this new bar/restaurant local to our neighborhood. We were pretty excited to have a place close to home and not in Kent Station. This place has a lot of potential, lots of great beer on tap, nice ambiance, and a decent menu. The first night was so busy and there was a long wait, but the place had just opened so we understood. Today, we thought we would stop in again and see how it was now hey had been open a while. The place was still busy (good sign), and we grabbed a table at the bar. A lady who works at the bar came over and took our drink order as we had been sitting there for long time with no introduction from the waitress, other than her putting menus at our table (No greeting). The drinks came a while later. Drinks were good and made by same nice lady who took our order. The problem we had was that it became blatantly obvious our waitress wasn't too busy but systematically avoiding us while serving all the other tables around her. We had to stand up and ask her to finally take our order.. The food took a while but it was not delivered by our waitress. We realized we had no silverware so we had to ask the young man who served our food for some so we could eat. On numerous occasion we tried to make eye contact with our server but she looked directly through us. It was now obvious to us that she has a problem with us because we are a lesbian couple - she made absolutely no contact with us other than taking the order, while checking in and laughing with all her other customers. My wife who is the calmest most rational person was so offended and she had to say something to the manager. He apologized and actually gave us a gift certificate (I think he could see how upset my wife was). We are both in the service retail industry and don't give bad reviews often. I gave this place 2 stars because it has so much potential but with service like that we most likely won't be back. Politics and beliefs aside this is discrimination and just bad business. Our money is as green as the next persons. This waitress was an older woman with shoulder length dark brown hair and strong eyebrows (didn't get her name). Please don't stand for this type of discrimination in your new establishment or in our community. The manager seemed to care but we didn't tell him what we believed to be the waitresses problem. It was humiliating. On the positive side - There was a young waiter/bus boy (18yr old? Dark hair) who was working his butt off and very friendly so kudos to him! The manager was nice and the lady making cocktails all seemed great, so keep up the great work. read more

Stopped in Friday for a date night with my boyfriend and I was pleasantly surprised. It looked pretty crowded but we were greeted and taken to seats promptly. The menu wasn't very large but it still had a great variety. Our waitress Jessica was fantastic, she helped guide us and helped me make my decision on food. We shared the bacon wrapped prawns as an appetizer and they were delicious and crisp (although it was a small portion for the price!) O had the blackened salmon and it came with a side of loaded potatoes and asparagus and he had the barbecue burger both were wonderful, the salmon was a decent sized portion and the burger was huge! Overall it was a great experience and it earned my first positive yelp review. Mostly because our waitress, Jessica ( gosh I hope that was her name) was absolutely amazing. read more

This is fabulous!! Since opening my family comes several times a month. The bacon wrapped prawns are worth a trip! Always crisp and sweet. My husband loves the pizzas and the bacon burger! Came to JP tap house with a large group on a slower day, being the only veg in the group is always a battle on what I'll be eating. This place is certainly not veggie/vegan friendly. I went for the French fries and side salad and added avocado, the salad was a full size so that was pretty nice, Fries on the other hand were awful, string fries-.- it's a tap room I was expecting steak fries, on top of that some weren't even cooked all the way! My friend ordered a side of onion rings, when it came out it was a mountain of onion straws! This was pretty devastating. Waitress was friendly decor is nice, clean and spacious. Went on a friday night the first week of opening so I knew service might not be quite up to par yet. It was ok. It did, however, take 45 minutes for our food. The kobe burger was black and completely overdone. Hockey puck hard and cold. For a 16 dollar burger, I expected it to be at least cooked properly. The crab artichoke dip was awesome though! They haven't quite found their identity yet. The ambience is definitely lacking with bright lights and cheap countertops. Service is very focused on the task at hand rather than the customer. Had to wave waiter down for everything. We asked for silverware, and he said, "oh you want two two sets?" There were two of us. We only ordered the fried picked which were floppy. Because of the location (close to home) we may check out again for a game. I have hope, but I think this place would do better focused as a bar rather than a family restaurant. read more

Decent Ceasar salads. Then our entrees came out before we were halfway thru salads. They need to work on timing obviously. We got the Kobe burger & the ribeye. Both needed salt but were pretty decent. The onion straws were good but kinda an odd side (very thinly sliced). The side of fries was a good size. We shared the bread pudding dessert. We came for the brunch at 11:30 ordered then 20 minutes later come to tell us they are out of hash browns. Still sitting and waiting.. waiter took our order and kept repeating it and never wrote it down. Just heard another person in a group get his food and said he ordered hash browns and the waitress failed to tell him they were out. .. it's been a half hour and we are still waiting for our food.. finally came and tastes alright. Really disappointed. Restaurant 101: never run out of food. They apologized and then reimbursed us with a $25 gift card. That was nice. read more

I definitely don't go out of my way to eat here, it only happens when a group suggests it and I'm forced into it. Great service and excellent food. Items are locally sourced. The Crab + Artichoke dip is to die for. Huge chunks of crab and fresh baguette. Soup of the day was French Onion. The cup I ordered was larger than I expected. Soup was well seasoned and full of flavor. The Prawn, Crab + Avocado Tower salad was full of fresh crab and prawns, mangos and a light citrus dressing. I would also recommend the Macaroni and Cheese (added crab optional) and the Turkey Club served on a delicious sourdough bread. Can't wait to try the pizza and burgers. read more

The service here is always wonderful and my steak is always cooked to perfection. They have a great selection of beers including Irish death, DayGlow, and Mac and Jacks(my favorite!!) When we sat in their restaurant section, CASSANDRA, was incredibly patient while my friend and I took our time ordering. Some places don't understand the meaning of medium rare but JPs does!
