My son got a sratch on the side of his vehicle. He took into JRF. They did a wonderful job fixing it, and even did little extras, and they were just little things. The problem I had, was that they took almost 3 weeks to fix it. I had to share my car with my son, and that was a major pain. I've had bad luck with cars in my 7 years of driving( my first car was totaled by an uninsured drunk driver and with my new car I've had some mysterious minor hits while I left my car parked in different locations). Well today I went on yelp to find a body shop closer to home...and I am so glad I chose JRF Body Shop because they treated me so nicely. This past weekend I found my license plate hanging off as I walked out of work...I wanted to get this fixed. The guys at JRF were all very helpful and assisted me right away. My front bumper is not the original bumper the car came with because my neighbor backed-up into my car in May so I had my bumper replaced at a body shop in Whittier. Apparently, those people GLUED my license plate to the bumper instead of screwing it properly, and the two screws they had used underneath the plate were the wrong screws. I would have never known about this had it not been for the guys at JRF who not only screwed my plate back on the bumper they also replaced the wrong screws with the correct ones. There were also minor tire marks on my bumper and they waxed those right off. Afterwards they unclipped my back bumper which was a little off.. the worker at JRF clipped it in the correct way and it now looks perfect.........and to top it all off after all of this was fixed I had asked for a price and they said NOTHING. It made my day no only because I was treated so nicely but also because I realized they didn't take advantage of me. I clearly showed no knowledge of cars and I could have been an easy target to make some quick cash off of. I'm a 23 year old female and I went into the shop thinking I will most likely be overpriced just because I knew I could be easily tricked, however they treated me fairly. I know the fixes were minor but just these little things they did show a lot about a business and I truly appreciate it. I definitely recommend this place and if I ever have any future problems with my car or with my mother's car I will make sure to go back to JRF Body Shop. read more

I stopped by here this morning right after scraping the side of my car with another car! The damge looked pretty bad a to me and I was a bit scared about the estimate I would have to show my husband. Brandon and another man (I think the owner) came out to take a look and said let's scrub it with paint thinner and buff it out. I figured after that was done they would look at it and quote me something big. But after all was done Brandon said "it looks good. There's a little dent if you want to fix it but it's not necessary". And he didn't even charge me for his time and work! I mean they could have taken advantage of my emotional state but he was super nice and said just a thank you is enough! I wish I had a before and after picture because it looks brand new :) I'm definitely coming back here if I need a big fix. This shop was recommended to us by good friends. Our car was damaged in an accident by a semi. From the moment we called and our vehicle was dropped off to them, Brandon and Greg were so awesome dealing with the other drivers insurance company and my family. They were very kind and professional. I cannot speak highly enough about how well their shop repaired the damage done to my car. The paint was blended extremely well. They also returned my car to me beautiful, and clean. My 10 year old Car looks like nothing ever happened and we would highly recommend this shop. I felt like I was in the drivers seat, as they gave me so much information to help me figure out my options. They didn't hesitate to let me know where I could save money, and never rushed me. They made sure they made everything right on my vehicle that they could, and were honest and upfront about everything. They actually made adjustments to my bill in my favor. That is unheard of these days. They have great relationships with nearby shops, which was very helpful. I can't overstate how genuine these guys are. My Chevy Cruze was hit while being parked, I was given the number for JRF, Collision, and my car was taken there by my insurance company, which they take all companies, once it got there the guys, Greg and Danny told me all about what was happening, what needed to be done, they were VERY helpful, pleasant,carrying, and PROFESSIONAL, THANKS GUYS, I will tell everyone I know that needs a repair shop, and if I ever need work again.... I got rear ended on the freeway by a motorcycle going about 60mph and my horrible insurance Mercury referred me to their shop Gregs in Bellflower since that's the city I live in. Having no experience in auto body shops I took my car to Gregs as instructed by Mercury. As soon as I walked into Gregs I felt like just a number. They were very rude and took maybe 2 minutes looking at my damage and told me that it's only the rear bumper cover. I am a big believer in customer service and to help support local businesses which Gregs had none. They get so much business from insurance companies that they don't care about their customers. I left Gregs thinking %#^* this place and drove down the street and bumped into JRF. I walked into their office and was greeted right away with a smile and handshake. They asked me what had happened and heard my story instead of just focusing on the bumper. I mean come on if you get rear ended by a motorcycle on the freeway and the riders body flys to the moon and back and the bike explodes and you make everyone late to work you're going to want to tell that story as much as you can. After story time Danny and Greg (Greg is not related to Gregs auto shop just some dude named Greg that works with Danny at JRF) went outside and looked at my car. They did a thorough inspection and found other damage to my car that Gregs auto shop didn't want to fix to save Mercury insurance money. Today I picked up my car and JRF did a fantastic job. They were very professional and quick and kept me informed on any issues with Mercury. I will definitely go to JRFs again if I need any work done to my cars. Danny is a great person that supports a lot of organizations that deals with special needs kids and gives back to the community. This is the kind of place and person I support. After reading all of the reviews on yelp I read that 1 star review and that guy sounds like a diva. And if you are wondering what happened to the motorcycle rider he lived and ran away from the scene. Talk about iron balls. read more

The staff at JRF are not only professional and experienced, but they offer amazing customer service. The owner is willing to take jobs as simple as replacing a side mirror and they are done quickly and cost a reasonable amount. Danny will work with your insurance to make sure everything that can be covered is, and at minimal cost to the customer. This is my third time to JRF in the past 3 years to have body work done. All 3 total to over 14k in work on my truck. I selected JRF because of a referral from a family member and because I wanted to support local small business in my town. Each of the 3 times the truck was there for two weeks to 4 weeks. The first two times I went to pick up my truck, there were numerous issues with imperfections in the paint, clear coat and/or final detail. After pointing out the issues, the owner agreed to fix them but, not before making comments that " it's just a truck" or "stop being so picky". It is a truck but, that doesn't mean that there should be any less attention to detail or less quality work performed on it. JRF's prices to the insurance co. don't change whether it's a car or a truck. This last time, after 2 1/2 weeks of being there, I was called saying my truck would be ready in 45 minutes and to come pick it up. They did say I would have to drop off my tonneau cover later for a buff after the paint fully cured. I arrived at JRF 2 hours after they called to find my truck my truck looking like it had been through an off road race inside and out. Greg instructed his guys to give it a quick wash. As the guys started to spray water on my truck greg began to dry my hood with a chamois. Before they washed it! No soapy wash brush or mit, just wiping off the dirt and dust off my hood with a chamois!!! So as I walk around to inspect the work performed, I find the tape they used to adhere the fender flair that they painted not sticking and the flair hanging away from the body and has multiple finger prints and grease marks under the clear coat. The lead shop man then tells me that, the truck will have to come back in for a few days to buff the fender, fender flair and tonneau cover! Not just drop off the tonneau cover to buff because it isn't dry yet! I find the locks (2)installed in the tonneau worked different from each other. I find the used gear shift leaver they installed, covered in dirt and sticky nasty goo. After helping the guys wash my truck, I pull the truck out of the shop only to find that a part of the ignition key switch is missing! After getting the truck out in sunlight I find the paint is off a few shades and I also find more scratches in the tonneau cover. He says that the paint isn't off much and was hoping it will fade. I point out the scratches to the staff in-which he replies,"that wasn't part of the bid". I feel that if you find things are not right you should contact the customer and explain that it is not part of the work scope and it will be $x more to make it right before you just paint it! Now I'm stuck not only having to fix the scratches but have to repaint the whole tonneau to make it right! So I go into the office to talk with the manager, he tells me that they will not accept a personal check and demands that I pay in full if I want to take my truck. I explain that the work is not complete and that I don't think it should pay in full until the job is done. He calls the owner who is screaming on the phone and instructs the manager to allow me to pay by check but not to allow me to leave with the truck without full payment. After some heated discussion, I cut a full check to them and leave. Upon driving home I find that my power mirrors don't work. I look into it and find that the drivers door panel wasn't properly installed and that the wiring to my power mirrors was cut! So, here I am once again with JRF, needing to take my truck back for them for a few days to finish incomplete work that I was told was done! Out of allowance for rental car from my insurance because they took so long doing the repairs, no power mirrors, and out of patience with dealing with a company that feels that 90% right is good enough. If you are ok 90% done right and a company talking a long time to get that 90% done, then JRF auto body is the place for you! read more
