Had a really bad experience here today. Horrible customer service. Lo9pCame in with my dad and sister. The girl at the counter never greeted us or even smiled. As our order was being made the girl sat at a table on her phone while the tables were dirty and the floor clearly could have been swept. Once our food was ready I happened to glance at the counter and the girl without saying anything motioned the bag towards me. No thank you or have a nice day. Honestly the burger was good. Better than Sylvester's. The price is right on on point. I really would like to give more stars but I can't due to a couple things. First. The place is dumpy and dirty with the walls matching the floor. We waited for what seemed like 30 minutes for two burgers and a salad with a few people in the place in a joint that only makes burgers and fries. Then the fries came out and they were cold and crunchy. I took them back to the counter and asked if they were old but was told fries are made to order? Maybe they just sat too long. Overall a good experience, I can see this place lasting awhile. The burgers are quite big! I'd recommend a single cheeseburger over the double. But the fries were crispy and well seasoned. My friend brought this place up, and I had never heard of it so what the hell... let's give it a shot. First off, I got to say that I've been inside this building when it was a Quiznos, and it is a night and day difference appearance wise. But we'll get to that at the end. The food selection is easy, as really there are two selections for burgers (a single and a double variety with all the fixins: Onions, pickles, tomatoes, no "special sauce") and a vegetarian option. They offer salads, but who gets a salad at a burger joint? The price was the most impressive factor of the entire experience, as a meal for two cost a little over $17. Not bad. We both got the #2, which is the double hamburger and we decided on the garlic fries. The burger was GREASY. Which, in my opinion, is just fine. The cheese is lacking in flavor and quantity. The burger itself was really nothing to write home about. It was deffinetly missing something (and weight was not that something). At one point of my burger, the meat was actually under-cooked severely. I like my burgers medium rare, but that one (small) spot was a little too raw. My buddy had pointed out to me that there was a decently-sized chunk of wax paper in his burger, probably used to separate the patties or the cheese, probably not meant for consumption (hint hint). The garlic fries were pretty good! Plenty of garlic and slightly greasy (for me, fine, for some probably not so fine). Quantity was also not an issue here. So, the burgers were not the "Best Burgers in Town", but they definitely have room for improvement. Let's talk about the customer service... This is obviously a novice operation. The cashier/order taker was not very engaging. She did not ask certain questions I would expect to be asked. For instance, she didn't ask if I wanted everything that was offered on my burger. She also didn't ask if I wanted to "make a upgrade" and add bacon to my order, which I would have accepted because I love bacon (I mean, who doesn't) and would have banked them an extra $1.25. Just simple things like that. When the order was up, they do NOT bring it out to you. They do, however, give you a metal table stand with a number on it which they call out (the purpose of which is now defeated). When my buddy grabbed our order, the (server?) employee asked him to bring back the metal table number when it was convenient. Maybe it's just me, but if you're at your job, maybe you can come by and collect the number yourself. I mean, you are getting paid. Not me. The building has had some updates. They put up a huge ugly wall to hide the cooks. None of the walls have anything on them, which makes the place look like they're moving out. Kinda felt like a bland school cafeteria rather than a "Best Burger in Town" burger joint. They have a lot of things to improve on. But one major thing that made me give it only two stars is that when I got up and looked at my cellphone that had been sitting on the table the entire meal, was the massive amount of dust that settled on the screen. I called back a few minutes later, and the line was busy. I would have still been sitting there. My husband really wanted a burger, so we drove over there. The place had one small party eating, and the phone was still probably off the hook. They were out of onion rings. We had a cheese burger and garlic fries. I was expecting a lot after what I had heard. I overheard a couple people saying it was "sort of like In-N-out", but this place is nowhere near as good (at least on this day). I got a single bacon cheeseburger and garlic fries, as did my girlfriend. When we got our order , the first thing I tried were the fries. I am not exaggerating when I say that these fries were literally RAW potato; they were flaccid, not at all crispy (I don't see how the cook could have missed this), and dripping with oil .To top it off they had way too much garlic, which didn't make too much of a difference because they were inedible. When a place has a limited menu like this, you would expect that something as integral as French fries would be executed correctly. Now, on to the burger. The bun was a pretty good quality and nicely toasted. The bacon and meat both seemed decent, although the burger itself was overlooked (I ordered medium-rare and it was medium-well). The lettuce, tomato, cheese and condiments were all fine. The ONION however was pretty FOUL. I ordered grilled onions, and what I got was onion that was warmed through , basically, but that wasn't even the worst part about it. The onions definitely tasted as if they had been sitting around for a few days at the very least (probably due to over-prepping for the week or something), and they just had that "off"'taste. Anybody who has ever used an old onion out of the fridge will know what I'm talking about. Now, I am not a picky eater AT ALL. And I don't ever take it out on the staff when the food is bad. I very politely waited until the line had died down and asked if there was any way to get a refund for the 2 sides of garlic fries that I had ordered (both were raw, floppy, and dripping with oil ). The cashier was very nice, and the young cook apologized for the fries. I didn't have the heart to complain about the burger to them. I may give this place 1 more shot, because maybe it was an off day or something. But I really don't understand how you can mess up such an important thing as fries when you are an exclusive burger and fry joint. I'm skeptical that a 2nd experience could be a huge improvement , because there were some CORE THINGS that were just NOT RIGHT. Perhaps the cooks are a little bit inexperienced and just need some more time to figure it out, but whoever is running the place should demonstrate the proper way to cook the fries and the burger and make sure that all of his cooks are consistent with their product. The ambiance of a place matters very little to me which is good because this place could stand to improve a lot. It looks like an abandoned building had a quick coat of paint thrown on it and nothing more. I hope that they improve , because we have several places in town that are already better (bronco burger, and good ol' burger) and this place won't stand a chance. Our hamburgers were larger than expected with fresh tomato, lettuce and onion. But they were very salty. Wonderful fries. Great value for the fresh food which is always appreciated. Went there on a busy Saturday and were lucky to snag a table. The restaurant was somewhat smoky inside from the grill. After you order at the counter, they give you a number for your order. Between the loud radio (with more commercials and talking then music) and the employee's quiet calling of the numbers, customers were prompting other customers that their order was ready because it was easy not to hear your number called. We noticed the grease on the floor. Wish we had noticed a table outside before we started eating. Would give this place another try. They had lots of customers. read more

I got a double cheeseburger and that was a big mistake. The patties are at least twice as thick as I&O so in effect I had a 4X4. I have been to J's a hand full time times and never been disappointed until today. We showed up during what was a slow time of day 3:30 after lunch and well before dinner. There were only 4 other customers when we arrived, walked right up placed our order but when the food came it was almost like it was someone else's order. We checked our receipt we paid for two cheese burgers, two fries and a chicken strip kids meal plus two sodas. But we had been given three burgers, one was a double that was customized and no kids meal with chicken strips. We went to go to the counter but there was a line so we waited only two staff were working the cashier and the cook, when we got to the counter the phone rang and we were told to wait while the cashier took the phone order. We tried to return the double cheese burger and the other burger that should've been the kids chicken strips and we were told it would be 20 minutes and we probably ordered it wrong. We had the receipt and tried to show the cashier but she wouldn't look at it. We didn't want to wait another 20 minutes over something that wasn't our fault, so we sat back down to eat what we had been given and it was cold by that time sadly. We went back and asked for ranch for our fries and were told we needed to pay .50 cents per ranch, that I understand but the attitude we got for trying to get the food we paid for was unnecessary. I gave it three stars only for the food because well at the Paso location that's the only thing good there. I love this place but will probably not be returning - my last visit there went horrible. The girl who d the counter didn't greet us, didn't say thank you or you're welcome when I said both to her. She was rude and was on her phone entire time we were ordering and in restaurant which I found weird because the trash was full, bathroom was a mess, trash on the floors, and all condiments were empty - must be a perk of working for family because when I asked to speak to a manager she said "your complaint won't go far" I thought the food would keep me coming back but the staff is horrible at the Paso location - except for the cook - only good staff there. Food is overly salty, half our fries were old and soggy and the other half were super undercooked, the burger was also undercooked. It was a blazing hot Father's Day afternoon & we needed a quick meal so we decided to stop at J's Burger. As we arrived a patron picked up his tray of four burgers & told the staff that they got the entire order wrong. They hadn't, but he insisted! The staff calmly & professionally remade the burgers to the new specifications of the four diners while keeping up with the additional new patrons' orders. The burger was still pink inside and the garlic fries was very soggy. The way they cook their burger reminds me of a backyard bbq! The onion rings was delicious but for $3.50 I only got 4 pieces. Truly a five-art establishment. I've never been more satisfied with a meal, and I've never been this happy with the price as well. You will leave this place stuffed, and thinking "that was definitely worth 10 bucks". The burgers are thick and meaty and high quality, with a perfect grilled-beef taste. The cheese is not too overwhelming and compliments the burger well, and their secret sauce is incredible. They have options for the sides, all of which I have tried, and all of which I have loved. And to top it all off, when we had to take our food to go, we were delighted to see they use paper bags made from recycled paper instead of styrofoam containers. Eco-friendly, well priced, high quality, AND you're supporting local business. This is by far the best burger place in town and you won't regret stopping by.
