Great Mexican spot in Mid City. Small but so quaint. We went around 6 on a Saturday so it wasn't crowded when we arrived but started getting more busy as the time went on. All of the staff were friendly. Our server was extremely kind and helpful. We stared with the chips and queso. We loved the he queso; a bit on the spicier side but not too hot that you didn't want to keep eating. The chips were fresh, light and crunchy. We had the regular Juan's burrito with chicken. Thankfully we split it because it is huge! It was filled with all fresh ingredients- grilled chicken, white rice, cheese and black beans. So delicious. The one thing I would have liked was a small cup of salsa on the side. I also had a Happy Hour special- a double House margarita for the price of a single. The strongest margarita I've ever had!!! If you like margaritas, they have a really big selection.

Juan's Flying Burrito is a great option for Mexican Food in New Orleans. There are many locations and each location is unique in it's own way. I swung by here for Taco Tuesday where their Street Tacos are $2 each! A good price always makes the food that much yummier! But even without the awesome deal the tacos were delicious! I especially love the shrimp taco! The chips is another of my favorite things at Juan's Flying Burrito! Super light and crispy and I could eat them all day long! Super dangerous, but worth it. Service: Great service! I was served immediately and my water was kept full. And even though they were in the middle of a shift change, they didn't miss a beat! Ambiance: Nice and spacious, lots of open tables at this time of day. Drinks: Full bar- during Happy Hour you can get an extra shot in your margherita. Parking- There's a small parking lot but it's usually super tight, so street parking may be your best bet. Outdoor Seating- There's a couple of tables outside.

Awesome spot if you are looking for super casual Mexican Food. There was no wait Saturday morning around noon, it was busy but tables were available. The chips and queso are pretty good, about what is expected for the price point. I really loved my Black Cherry Margarita, it was delightfully different, a little on the sweeter side but not overly. I also really enjoyed my pork and jalapeño slaw tacos, soft with crunchy slaw really hit the spot. Service was friendly too.

The food is amazing. I had the taco salad and depending on my level of hunger I can share this dish. It comes with chips and salsa and is flavorful with every bite. The drink on Mondays are 2-1 margaritas. So if I order a margaritas I get a double shot for the price of one. The drink was very pretty and not too sweet. Definitely relaxed me after a long hot Monday. The ambience was fairly quiet around 7pm. Parking is always a challenge but walking does not hurt. The bartender was attentive and very nice. I forgot my readers and she came through. Good job on having spares for those of us that are near sighted.

We will call this Juan's Flying Burrito the second coming! Had been here years ago and remembered the food being amazing so decided to check if it is still living up to the hype I gave it back then. Being on magazine st there is a lot of tough competition so you have to be on point to survive. Now they have been here since 1997 so there is longevity. I had the skirt steak nachos and my better half had the steak quesadillas. The nachos were piled high with steak ,cheese ,and salsa, the steak quesadillas were stuffed to perfection. I am happy to announce that they are indeed still putting out amazing food and happy to continue to promote their talents. Their artistic atmosphere and delicious food is a winning combo. So if you haven't tried, put it on your list the next time you are in New Orleans.

Once we got back from the swamp tour, we had an early dinner and it was delicious! Service was attentive. Food was seasoned well and the drinks were Will return if back in NOLA.

Came here for weekday late lunch. Happy hour is a large sized margarita for a small size. We got the nachos supreme or equivalent of that which were on point. So much fillings, almost more than actual chips which never happens and was amazing! Also got the Juan's flying burrito which was huge and can definitely serve as 2 meals! Their street tacos are steep for $4 each and weren't that special Only off thing was that the menus we had actual mold on it.... We told the waiter who "put it aside" but it looked like he just put it sort of next to the rest of the menus.

Its naturally great food. The photos say it all. I have been running here for quite some time. When you take it home with you... that's when you know it's something special. It may just be like sharing an entree with Mickey Mouse .

Customer service was amazing. We forgot our leftovers and our waiter ran them to the parking lot granny got to finish her quesadilla for breakfast! I had the jerk chicken nachos which were great. They accommodated our large party and service was quick. Thank you

My Husband and I came here for Dinner. The Server Elise was amazing. The food was so good . My Husband had the Que so and Chips . Then Steak and Shrimp Quesadilla . Due to my tragic Car accident, I still can only eat soft foods . I had the Shrimp Quesadilla. And soft potatoes It was so Delicious. My Husband and I been coming here. For 20 years. The only thing that we Did not like is the cheap ugly to go bags that they give us o you . It gets a 000 If people are paying their money, DON''T BE CHEAP with nothing !!!!!

We were in the mood for mexican and were in the area and never been here so decided to try it out. we starred out with chips and salsa, which are not complimentary here. the chips and salsa were decent, although a bit small for the price. we then ordered a taco salad and three tacos - a banh mi tofu taco a chicken taco and another veggie taco. the taco salad was large and had both chicken and beef but it was not in a taco shell rather it had pieces of tortilla on top. the tacos were decent, with good flavor and a decent size overall a decent place with good portion size and decent flavor

End Systematic Racism... thank you Juan's

Spending so much time in New York, I've probably had better, but the food here is still good. This is a small chain (NOLA, Metairie, Baton Rouge, West Palm Beach), outfitted with neon, murals, and pink flowers. The menus are high tech and light up when you open them. We started with the queso fundido, with melted mozzarella, chorizo, pico de gallo, and microgreens. Comes with corn or flour tortillas. It was cheesy and tasted great. They also provide chips and a flight of three salsas. Salsas all had completely different flavors and spice levels, so I enjoyed that. Other options are guacamole (with or without short rib), plain queso dip, short rib bites, and oysters rockefeller. Selections include various tacos. I had the birria tacos, which are served in a dramatic fashion, hanging from a line over the tray, which contained the consomme, salsas, rice, and refried beans. They were juicy and savory and the accompaniments hit the spot. Though I've probably had better birria elsewhere . . . not sure you'll find any better or authentic anywhere in New Orleans. My husband had the fish tacos (ensenada), crispy and covered in cilantro, payo, pickled cabbage, avocado, and pico de gallo. The fish was light and the pickled slaw added just the right amount of brightness and acidity. They also have mushroom tacos, chicken, bone marrow wagyu, carnitas, shrimp, and more. They serve larger main dishes including fajitas, carne asada, barbacoa, burritos, enchiladas, and more. They have a great drink menu with the expected margaritas and mezcal as well as some fancy specialty drinks. I has the Hasta el Agua Del Florero, which is vodka, bombay, lemon juice, pineapple juice, and watermelon syrup. It was good, but also 20 dollars. The margaritas of course come a little cheaper at 13 bucks and are decent. Some people complained about service. It wasn't busy when we stopped in, but our server stayed on top of things, the table was always bussed, he kept checking to make sure everything was to our liking. We had no server issues at all. Not sure this would be the top of my list to try of all the choices in New Orleans, but not a bad choice if you're in the mood for a Taco Tuesday or some Mexican chow.

I always get the tongue because it is flavorful and moist and delicious and reminds me of Mexico. Presentation and quality are always consistent! The tortillas are tasty and soft. The green sauce that comes with the tacos is just spicy enough to give it a kick, but not cover the flavor of the tacos. I always get delivery and these are often on sale $10 for three tacos which is a great value. Honestly, these are the best most authentic tacos in town! Caldo de Res is my other go-to dish here. It's $20 but they don't skimp on portions and I usually get two meals out of it. The delicious soup comes with a healthy portion of beef, rice, limes, hot tortillas, and all the fixings. It's the ultimate comfort food. I haven't dined in the restaurant so I can't speak to service, but every order is always correct and well packaged! The Al Pastor tacos had good flavor, and the shredded beef quesadilla was probably the highlight. I wasn't a fan of the salsa, and the beans and rice tasted like they came from a bag rather than being fresh. It also felt a little overpriced for three tacos. Nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. Overall, an okay spot if you're nearby, just not something I'd go out of my way for.
