The plumber did not need a support team to extricate the water supply valve from a hidden haunted cave under my house. The parts were not made of Rhodium nor did they need to be shipped from the planet Venus. So why, exactly, should it cost $1000 to replace a water shut off valve and water supply line to a kitchen sink?? Are you just doubling the cost & then sending that difference to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation and getting a tax break or just taking advantage of people who you can take advantage of? What he found was a catastrophe that involved a crew to rip out a whole section of sidewalk in front of our house to clear the several feet of city tree branch that had grown into our pipes.
