I couldn't decide which to get after they gave me samples of each and the associate gave an idea of the mix! Thank you for that You can also choose 3 toppings and I got mango, pumpkin seeds and granola on top of my soft serve. They're not known for the presentation but it's delicious and hit the spot on a hot day. I'll say this location's service is a hit or miss. But it works for a true quick to-go situation. I had ordered food next door and was in need of a drink. Friend noticed Juice Press right by and ordered the Blue Magic (the first on the protein drink list). I ordered from the Fruit Smoothie section and got the 16 oz 4Ever Young Smoothie ($10.27). I ordered the regular and it looked large for some reason, though I did confirm on the Juice Press website that they have a 24 oz size and a 16 oz, so I must have received the regular size. The 4Ever Young smoothie comes with plant based collagen, mango, strawberry, cauliflower, pitaya, flax fiber, stevia, and almond milk. I mainly picked it since it has no bananas (I'm allergic, though they did mention they can remove the bananas from any of their smoothies) and it has collagen. Not bad for a smoothie! read more

Last Thursday I got a pitaya protein bowl - ended up with severe stomach pain for hours along with vomiting. Today I got a strawberry banana smoothie 2 hours ago, And I just threw up 3 times. After both incidents, I am pretty sure it's from the smoothies since that's the only thing I had on both days when I got food poisoning. Please check to see if any of your ingredients are contaminated as I got food poisoning twice within a week. read more

I used to come here for the quality. However, today I saw them pouring water in my smoothie. I looked at the ingredients again and I didn't see water as one of them. So I asked why they were putting water in it. I was told that they use no longer use almond milk, but instead an almond milk powder - which to me is NOT the same as almond milk. If I'm paying $10 for a smoothie and you try and save on cost by giving me powdered almond milk and adding water, then charge me less. So typical of large companies to get big because we support their good business practices and then they get too big and the quality goes down but they charge the same - unbelievable. Same thing happened with Pressed Juicery when they started adding water to their juices, sorry not for me. The service was fine, not entirely professional with the goofing off and taking 6 minutes to make my smoothie (not because there was a line), but that doesn't really exist anymore in big box places anyways. Only reason I wouldn't give this place a 5 is because of the price to size ratio. So please note, this is not a 5 in terms of value. This is purely off of taste and friendliness of staff. Raw steel coat oatmeal: this is such an amazing pre workout snack. It is so so tasty, and filled with a lot of healthy high energy stuff. Kale chips: so much flavor for only 60 calories. Also surprisingly filling. Smoothies: I usually get the ****** genius or vanilla protein (without ice of course). Both are super good and a great quick, satisfying, filling meal. I get the same thing every time I come to Juice Press: the acai blueberry bowl, with granola, maple coconut flakes, and frozen blueberries. They don't skimp on the toppings here, and it's so refreshing on a hot day. That said, the serving size in on the smaller end, given the price ($12), and the service here is...so...slow. There always seems to be one person at the register, filling all the orders, and cleaning, and another person just hanging out in the back on their phone. It's truly baffling. Juice Press reminds me of my favorite juice/smoothie/healthy spot in Seattle, which automatically makes it a must-visit in my book. Sleek and compact, with lots of small and brightly colored info cards organized for easy grabbing (want to know what a flexitarian is, or why calories matter less than nutrients, or why cold-pressed juice is awesome?), there's a ton of nutrition and information packed into a small space. The cold cases offer a massive variety of juices in all sorts of combinations, as well as prepared salads, wraps, and other ready-to-eat foods if you need to take something for later. There's also a lengthy list of smoothies, which is why I was there this morning (more than are listed on their online menu, since there are seasonal offerings and so forth). I had one with peaches, almond milk, dates, and all sorts of other good things: super-tasty and just the right kind of filling for a healthy breakfast. The friendly women behind the counter were patient with my menu perusal (so hard to decide!) and are more than happy to offer suggestions to you based on what you want out of your smoothie. One of my pet peeves about smoothies is uneven blending, like when a chunk of fruit or cacao nib escapes the blades only to stick, immovable, in your straw. None of that here, for which I give great praise. The smoothies run about $10 and up for a sixteen-ounce (the only size they offer); obviously a little expensive for every day, but a meaningful indulgence that's entirely quality and worth it: fresh, nutritious, and delightful. read more

Small storefront but infinitely faster than their Prince Street sister. Pre-packaged juices are aplenty and everything on the smoothie list is customizable. (Got a chuckle out of the cashier when I asked for a Life Force Protein smoothie without the protein powder lol- I wanted it for the blueberry!!) The raw snacks all look fantastic and since I was super tired I got the Matcha Bowl. The texture is kind of like eating Asian egg custard with finely ground nuts. It looks weird, sounds weird, but is surprisingly delicious and light on the palate. There are benches inside and outside to chill on a nice day. read more

There's something awesome about being able to get a fresh juice smoothie while the person preparing it is singing all the lyrics to the Notorious B.I.G. song that's playing in the background. So why the 3 stars? Price. $10-11 is a steep cost for a maybe 12 oz smoothie. I get the fresh ingredients, cold pressed, etc. And that comes through- one of the better smoothies I have had. The guy who took my order was extremely rude- didn't even look at me when he took my order and was not listening to me at all. Unfortunately, the acai bowl I had this morning was not very good. The bowls don't come with any fruit on top. I had to go back and ask for some after they made it for me and they then put frozen blueberries on top. The acai itself is very watery, flavorless and not blended well. I asked for almonds on top and it tastes like they blended them in. The granola was so hard it could probably crack a tooth. Maybe it was frozen? Regardless, I wasn't able to eat it. :( read more

If you love juices & smoothies with an emphasis on nutrition and health, this is your spot. They have a juice/smoothie for EVERYONE. I think there's 10 different green juices alone! They also offer great vegan, raw food like kale salad & raw chocolates, which are all delicious. I favor this shop as it is close to home and not as crowded. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My favorite smoothie is the Almond Buttercup - absolutely delicious (mix of banana, ice, dates, cinnamon, almond butter and almond milk) - with added greens. Granted, the prices are outrageous (above mentioned smoothie is ~ 11$), but you get high quality, fresh food for the price. I "indulge" whenever I can. read more

Somehow I ended up spending $10 for a pre-packaged juice (I can't remember which one -- something like the "total experience"). That's my fault. However the juice itself was not very tasty. The celery overpowered everything else in it. Also the staff was sort of unfriendly to me. The guy working the register had a general attitude that I was bothering him by my presence in the store. I wanted something refreshing and healthy while shopping in Nolita. I saw Juice Press and I was intrigued. I'm not much of a smoothy person but I had the advanced berry smoothy and it was very good. It was $12.95 which is pretty crazy. I knew it would be pricey as the ingredients are all organic, etc. But at that price this isn't a place I could frequent. The staff was very nice. This little gem... And I do mean little gem is a great addictive to the NoHo area. You take five steps in and your at the cash register. They have a great variety of pre pressed organic juices and food. The watermelon called me from the inside of the fridge and I couldn't resist. I literally drank a watermelon. The price is expensive! Who says size matters? Though it's one of the smaller Juice Press locations, this is one of my favorite. While they all have, essentially, the same juices, the employees at this location are, by far, the most friendly/helpful. As for the selection, no juice bar in the city compares. Some of my favorite items include the Matcha Bowl, Black Label, Doctor Earth, Almond Butter Cup, Pineapple Juice and Aloe Water. And while I appreciate JP's commitment to organic fresh pressed juice, I'd like to see them cut back on the amount of coconut sugar and agave they use in their smoothies and raw food. read more
