Perfect smoothies as always. Everybody says they've been coming here for years. Ditto. And honestly, I get the same thing number 15. I love all the inspirational messages that she writes on the cups. Got some smoothies after a nice long bike ride and these smoothies hit the spot! One of the two ladies directed us towards options to our liking from the large menu. It's a cute little shop in a shopping center. There is only one person working but she's super nice and helpful. I got something that wasn't on the menu, which is quite extensive. It is pineapple, orange, and guava. My dad got the number 9. We also got a custom smoothie with greens and berries. They were all delicious and refreshing. We all ordered smalls but it was not a small amount of smoothie. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

We stopped by yesterday, and I was impressed by the selection of smoothies offered, fair prices, and overall vibe! The woman who was working (I think she was the owner) was friendly and cheerful. They were pretty busy, but she made her way through the line quickly and sang as she worked. You gotta love it when a workplace is so pleasant and happy that employees sing while they work. :) Our smoothies were blended to perfection (I highly recommend the "slapshot") and tasted delicious. The inspirational quotes on the cups are super cute and made me smile. Juice Stop puts places like Jamba Juice to shame in terms of their smoothies and customer service. read more

It's a small place to get a juice on the go. They also serve smoothies, coffee, hot/cold sandwiches, wraps, soups, frozen yogurt, and salads. Not clear in which conditions all this is prepared in such limited space. The small counter is dominated by a big jar for TIPS. Credit Cards - 50c service fee. Service overall - very friendly. Disposable Gloves - only one is used, and re-used (!) so it is brownish yellow. Disposable gloves, just like other disposable hygiene products are designed for one use only, so perhaps I won't return to this place. read more

The menu seemed like there were few vegan options as most have yogurt, sherbert, or milk-- but you can have it removed or replaced with almond milk. It was a hot day and I happened to be walking by and thinking a smoothie sounded amazing. Well, the smoothies WERE amazing. They're so good and worth it, for me at least, to drive way out of my way to San Clemente and get one. The lady who makes the smoothies is also very nice and accommodating. It started out innocently enough. My first time I just needed a cooldown smoothie on a hot day. One sip through that straw, they got me. deliciousness! Strange vibes at this place but I thought why not, let's try it. The woman who took my order claimed ingredients are organic however none of the signs in the shop say so. I took her word for it. Slight modification (sub juice for water because we didn't want the added sugar) was way overpriced for what you get even if organic. $20 for two drinks, No thank you! read more

Someone once said to me in sales that people buy from people they like. Juice Stop is a small business run by a family and they are amazingly sweet people. I absolutely love them. One of the things you notice when you get smoothies or juices in the shop is that the owner takes the time to hand write positive messages on the cups. It's little things like this that gets a customer's attention. You will usually see owner Annie with help from her husband and sister Julie running things. If you can find a friendlier pair of sisters running a business in San Clemente let me know. I'd like to visit their business. The smoothies are great. I am addicted to the Free Fall but also like any of the Acai based smoothies or shakes. The juices are good. I have ordered wheat grass shots with ginger that I like and they have even allow me to bring in my own tumeric to juice for the wheat grass shots. They are knowledgeable about the health benefits of their juices and are a pillar in a community that values a healthy, active, coastal life style. There are options for juices and smoothies with other places, but none of them treat their customers like Juice Stop does. I am happy to recommend this business because I really do love Juice Stop and I do patronize businesses of people I like! read more

I kind of forgot about this little gem of a juice stop in San Clemente. I personally prefer to support small business but don't really drive out of my way to do so. I will drive out of my way for Juice Stop. I live in San Clemente so it's not truly far. The staff and owner are very friendly. They know their menu by heart (which is amazing considering there are so many to choose from). Every protein shake I've had so far is perfection. They have an unbeatable price and it includes 3 add-ins. Elsewhere it's .50 to $1.00 to add protein and/or vitamins. This is my lunch so it can get pretty expensive if you have one 5 days a week elsewhere. I loved the fact that they hand-write personal motivating sweet messages on every cup! Who does that? They have a food menu too. I haven't tried it yet but the menu looks good and I'm certain the food is good. During COVID they follow strict protocol. read more

Such a cute juice shop in San Clemente! My hubs and I stopped by here after shopping at the new outlets in San Clemente! It was the perfect thirst quencher to give us a little sugar boost to get us through the rest of the day. I believe this place is family owned and it definitely had that personal feel. The lady at the shop gave us great recommendations. My hubby got the "Power Play" which tasted just like a pink starburst to me. She nailed his taste to a T! I got the "Half Pipe" since I'm a big fan of guava and it did not disappoint. The guava flavors went well with the pineapple and peach, and it brought me to tropical paradise! There is only one size making ordering simple, and it came with three free boosts. Due to pregnancy, I didn't want to get anything too risky so I just got calcium and vitamin C. Didn't taste any chalkiness at all from the boosts. We drove around the beach in San Clemente and soaked up the sights while sipping our delicious smoothies. The cups also have cute handwritten messages on it for an extra boost of encouragement. I am so glad we stopped here instead of a chain nektar or jamba. What makes South Swell great are the flavor combinations that they create for toppings. The actual ice cream is just vanilla or chocolate ice cream. You are coming for the toppings. If you get the bar, the toppings are more evenly distributed and presented the way they should be for the best flavor experience. My favorite is the Bomb Fire bar. They dip the ice cream bar in chocolate and coat it in graham cracker. Then top it with marshmallow that they literally toast with a flame. Then the ice cream cools the marshmallow so it doesn't drip but instead makes a perfectly delicious coating of toasted marshmallow. Service is always good and don't let a line deter you.

However, my partner got the bar, and he loved it! So maybe I should have gone that way! Friendly staff, all was quick! Would come again to try one more time because I do want to like it!

We were visiting from Los Angeles and went out of our way to drive there because of the ratings. When we arrived, we asked if we could taste a couple of flavors before ordering. The employee seemed very hesitant and repeatedly mentioned that they are a small business, as if providing a small sample was a problem. The sample that was given was extremely tiny, and the overall attitude felt unfriendly and unwelcoming. What made the experience worse was the disrespectful tone toward customers who were simply trying to decide what to order. Trying a flavor before buying gelato is very common, and most places are happy to offer small samples. Instead, we felt like we were bothering the staff just by asking. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place. The service left a very negative impression, and unfortunately I would not return.
