Stopped here for dinner. It was close to closing time and all workers left. The owners were still there and let us in. They even let us stay after closing time when they found out we traveled from Southern California. The food was great and fresh. I had the kefta wrap which was delicious. We all shared baba ghanoush and tabbouleh which was very fresh and authentic. Great food with super nice owners. Definitely will come back here again. Oh goodness! JuJu's falafel, hummus, and dolmas make me want to grab her face and kiss it! When I moved home from LA I was craving middle eastern food something fierce as I worked for Armenians and dated one as well and ate everything offered to me LOL. I'm glad I found this place and after eating here s gazillion times I finally wanted to review. The fattoush leaves something to be desired for me but the falafel, hummus, dolma, tabbouli, and chicken wrap (before I went vegan) are to effing die for! The falafel are the right amount of crunch and have a amazing savory flavor that finishes with an slow burning kick. Hummus is creamy and smooth and the dolmas are just heaven in one bite. I love I can buy lebneh here and they are always offering a piece of baklava and greet with a smile. I only wish they carried sumac in their store as I cannot find anywhere to buy it and it makes me want to cry because I put it on EVERYTHING! Anyways, if you don't like this place you're crazy and have no idea what authentic middle eastern cuisine is supposed to taste like. Amazing chicken kabob!!! Tasty marinade. I received a very warm welcome from Juju herself. She's so adorable and she's very hands-on in her resto. 1kabob plate is good for one person. An extra skewer of something aint bad if you're really really hungry and havent eaten for the entire day. I loved the baklavah...of course it's sweet but it's not overly sweet. The Napa Valley is home to world-class dining meccas (like French Laundry), chef's that introduce you to flavors you'll remember for a long, long time (like Morimoto), and plenty of places with every day food of extra-ordinary goodness. So, it would be a shame for anyone with a limited number of meals in Napa to spend one on fairly ordinary, totally typical Mediterranean. IOW, don't make the mistake of thinking this is one of the better places in the valley, whatever the star rating. JuJu's is conveniently located off of Hwy 29, featuring reasonably priced and reasonably tasty Gyros, Kabobs, Hummus and other Mediterranean staples. The restaurant is tiny, essentially a couple of tables and take-out. Flavors are muted: recognizably greek or middle eastern but neither bold nor memorable. The meat tends towards over-cooked. Service is not expedient, but isn't slow enough to be more than mildly annoying. Who Should Go: Locals yearning for the taste of taztziki. If you truly need a Mediterranean fix, this is a decent destination. Visitors looking for something a little different for a picnic or a light in-room meal. There are many worse places to get food to go, and clearly this is an establishment striving to please. Who Shouldn't Go: Anyone trying to sample Napa's best or looking for first-class food & flavor. Tips: The Greek Salad is credible. Gyros come "wrapped" instead of pita-ed. Avoid. read more

The best Mediterranean in the Bay Area let alone Napa. Love that everything is homemade. The dolmas are amazing! It's such a pity when deli's use canned dolmas. I love the chicken gyro plate and the mujedra :) yumm. The owner Joumana or "juju" is the sweetest woman, she's from Syria/Lebanon and I LOVE that they just implemented more seating. Much more inviting to sit, eat, and get table side service. Good move juju. I will be back with more friends! read more

This place is phenomal. We were looking for a place to eat and just happened to drive by. We decided to try it out and so glad we did. These people can definitely cook some good food. Also, their pistachio baklava is the best we ever had. It wasn't too sweet; it was just perfect. Prices are very reasonable. And the owner was extremely nice. I highly recommend eating here. This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Napa, and I am always surprised about how few people know about it. I have come here again and again and everything I have ordered I have fully enjoyed! The Mezza combo plate is what I usually order. The mujadara, tabuli, baba-ghanough and dolmas are my favorite, as well as the magenta colored beet-hummus. For dessert they serve delicious pistachio/walnut baklava which pairs amazingly with their freshly brewed Turkish coffee. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is that their menu and their dishes are very vegetarian/vegan friendly and the owners are very accommodating when asked to sub out non vegetarian/vegan items for other items that are. The owners and staff are very lovely and I have always enjoyed coming here. read more

As a local, I took my young son there - to experience the only authentic Mediterranean food in Napa and upvalley (to my knowledge) and we had a delicious lunch. The food is very flavorful, spiced meats, cooling and refreshing hummus and lovely fresh salads. This is truly a family business and they could not have been nicer and more inviting. Seeing the good reviews, I tried this spot at around 5:30 PM. Not a single customer was there. That should have told me something. But I decided to try a lamb kebab plate anyway. I asked if she would give me some of the roasted vegetables sitting in the glass case, instead of making me a salad. "No substitutions," she announced. I just stared in disbelief. Finally & reluctantly, she agreed to give me a couple tablespoons of tired, aging vegetables. Then she asked how I wanted my lamb cooked. "Rare," I said. The meat that arrived looked like it had been cooked the previous day and was WAAAAY over-cooked! It was very dried out and even tasted a little like liver. When I left, I was still the only customer. I can forgive a restaurant for making mistakes when it is busy, but this experience reveals a complete lack of interest in providing a good meal. read more

This restaurant is mediocre at best. They served olives (half were soggy and mushy), chips (that were stale) with a pink sauce. My husband and I ordered the chicken kabob platter and the kefta kabob platter. The chicken tasted like it was cooked on a pan instead of a grill. It was also dry. The kefta was bland. The pita bread were like pieces of cardboard... Super stale. Cheap prices. Be ready to pay before you eat. And they do not serve water. There are plastic cups to the side so you can serve yourself. Been here once and plan to go back! The food was delicious! I had a chicken gyro with garlic fries, delicious! The only down part about this place is that there was no Air conditioning.. I guess if you're a local, you'd have to settle for this place if you want some chicken kabobs, but being a visitor from Alameda this place was awful. Everything was way overpriced and with everything being so expensive there was also Hella attitude from the owner. Like I get it's a mom and pap place, but he was rude and snappy. Also, he charged our "group" a gratuity fee on every order, which we paid seperately. Overall we paid like $20+ on gratuity. It wouldn't be as annoying if there was actually waiter service, he and his helper only brought us the plate of food and that's it. You self serve water. For $20+ I'd rather walk the two steps and pick up my own food from the counter, thanks. The flavor of the food was subpar, the chicken was marinated nicely, but the rice and Nan sucked, the yogurt sauce was also disappointing. What an annoying experience, we definitely regret going here. Zero stars for this place if I could read more

We love Juju's for lunch and for dinner, business harangues and too tired to cook tonight evenings. The food, from the tabouli to the kabobs is consistently great and full of flavor. The mezze plate is a great deal with tastes of pretty much everything on hand. Juju herself is a blast. We go fairly often and she makes us feel like we're visiting her home for dinner - which you pretty much are. I can't pick anything out as better than anything else since it's all good. And to have a restaurant like this in Napa with all its overblown cheffy food is a treasure. read more

Our family went for dinner on Saturday and it was great. We all had the kebobs (1 chicken, 3 lamb), which came with a big bowl of hummus and pita's to share, rice, cucumber/tomato salad and some really yummy pickled turnips. Next time we will try the wraps. read more

In 2010 I moved from New York to spent a year in Napa on a special job, and found this wonderful place to eat that made me feel right at home. Juju is a warm and gracious woman who makes you feel connected from the moment you first meet. I totally enjoyed being able to relax and enjoy a terrific meal there, after a heck tick day, and being able to shop for unusual items that are not available elsewhere in Napa. It was impossible for me to leave Juju's without buying baklava, sesame candies or date cookies. I'm back in New York now and miss my regular visits to Juju's!
