1st time customer. Lemme tell ya, I was not disappointed. I had the Beef/Lamb Gyro. It was delicious. Lots of thinly shaven meat, just enough tomatoes, onion, cucumber. If I have an issue, coulda used a little more tzatziki sauce (that's why I always get a little extra). The Gyro comes with I think fresh cut fries (big +) in it but I had them on the side. I finished it faster than I should've, but it was so tasty, I couldn't help myself The employee that served me was nice and very knowledgeable about the menu, always a big +! Not bad at all. Very friendly and fast service, good food. We ordered chicken pita, gyro salad and gyro bowl, Food was actually not bad at all. Chicken was nicely spiced, had a good taste to it. Rice in the bowl was fresh. This was our third time in there, and while food is not on a level of a boutique Mediterranean restaurant, it was consistently tasty. I ordered a Greek salad and I don't know what I got... There was just a ton of french fries no lettuce... I don't know what it was. I was so Disappointed, I added my own lettuce, tomatoes, and called it a day. I was so craving Kalamata, olives, and onions... A Greek salad!... The reason for four stars was the lamb gyros were to die for! Best we've ever had. The French fries are just a soggy mess I don't understand. Good food, great service, and relaxed ambiance is the perfect description for Nick The Greek. My first visit was a good one. I called in my order and it was ready in less than 15 minutes. I ordered the Chicken Gyro with fries. The Gyro came with lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard. I asked for Tzatziki sauce but the honey mustard wasn't bad. The flavor was good. The fries were seasoned perfectly. I gave 4 stars because I also asked for utensils and didn't receive any. He even asked me when I entered to pick up my order. Lol. I am a first time customer. I love Gyros and stopped in to pick one up for lunch. The place is clean. The staff is friendly. The Gyro was very good. The french fries could be improved with a longer fry or double fry because they were not crispy but I will be back. They have lots of options on their menu for different types of Gyros and lots of salads. This is a nice culinary change of pace and we should support this restaurant. Nick the Greek used to have great food and service when it first opened. I've ordered food from there multiple times over the past 5+ years. Last year (2025) I noticed that the quality of food started going down. My last to-go order of the lamb gyro bowl left me sick to my stomach. The lamb tasted like melted wax. The final straw was last Sunday (3/29/26) when I went there for lunch with a friend who was in a hurry and we thought that Nick will have a speedy service. The service was indeed quick, probably because we were the only costumers there at noon on a Sunday. I ordered my usual lamb gyro bowl (substituting salad for rice). The portion was large, with a lot of meat, and drowning in some kind of spicy white sauce. I think the over-saucing was supposed to mask the awful taste of the meat. I don't know what Nick the Greek puts in the ground meat they serve, but it's impossible to taste lamb, and the meat was fatty, gristly and again, it tasted like candle wax. I must have been the first person to order the lamb gyro that day, because about half of the meat I received was dark brown, overcooked, dry and had the texture of shoe leather. It must have been the scorched, dried out outer layer of the gyro that sat on the grill overnight. The proverbial "cherry on top" was the pest control guy, leaving the kitchen through the dining area, loaded with chemicals and spraying equipment. I guess it's good that they do have pest control, but I've never seen a pest technician marching through a restaurant's dining area on a Sunday. I'm officially done with Nick the Greek. There are a lot of better Greek and Mediterranean restaurants in Napa. My favorite is The Small World, but sadly, they're not open on Sundays and they are not on Door Dash :( read more

I decided earlier this week that I wanted Nick the Greek. I usually order it through DoorDash but I was out running errands and decided to stop by and get my usual order. I usually order a gyro bowl, sub the rice for fries. I went in and was greeted by an older gentleman. I put my order in and when I said, "sub rice for fries" he paused. Then he said, "oh you want the plate". At first I didn't quite comprehend what he was saying because I was confused. I repeated the order I wanted and he basically said they don't do that. I said I've ordered it before through DoorDash. He looked at me confused and kinda shrugged. He offered to make it a plate but that $4 more. I decided not to eat there. This post is more for the owners than anyone else. The food is phenomenal, that's not my gripe. I'm more confused that I've ordered this for years and the man looked at me like I was crazy when I ordered it. Also, I guess you're not on DoorDash anymore. That's a shame. The two women working prioritized their conversation over doing their jobs. One of the women answered and spoke on her personal phone call while trying to figure out which customer gets which food. My order was then ready, but wasn't what I even ordered. Had to wait an additional 10 minutes for my gyro to be made AND it was provided with French fries that sat on the counter for 10 minutes. Therefore they were not hot and had to be remade. After an additional 7 minutes, and halfway through my gyro sandwich I am still waiting for the fries. read more

I went to Nick the Greek after seeing several people's positive reviews throughout Facebook. I opted for the beef and lamb gyro and a side of Nick's fries. The fries were on the thinner side, which provides that extra crunch factor - a major plus for me. The toppings included more feta, garlic, spicy yogurt and lamb/beef gyro meat. The gyro itself was also very flavor, with notes of garlic and spice. The pita was soft and fluffy as well. I am definitely looking forward to a return visit in the near future! read more

We waited for years - literally years - for this spot, which was once a taco shop, to turn into a Greek joint. Initially, it was geared up to be a different place, but finally, Nick the Greek opened up. Think of it as Greek fast food, with a more fast food vibe than say a Daphne's, but less than your usual drive through. Your gyro will have fries in it, ok? The flavors are good, the portions are good, the prices are good. We enjoyed the lamb/beef mix gyros, the tzatziki, falafels, and the bowl that they offer. Have been a couple of times, will go again. So why not 5 stars? Well, they're new, and they're popular, and... they're bad at limiting the number of people in the store. Service is approached with an overly casual attitude by the staff, demonstrated in epic dmv style attentiveness and a disregard for the customers time. Took 40 minutes to get the wrong order. Menu items are overpriced. Left this place with a headache from whatever chemical they are over using to clean the floors and tables, yet place isn't super clean. Many other options to grab a good meal to go in the area, may not be Greek however. We gave them second chance. Would very much like them to succeed. Stopped in for a quick lunch on our way out of town. Quick ordering at the counter and not too long of a wait for the food. The gyro wrap is large and tasty. While the description says there are fries inside the wrap, which is a little odd, there's not many, so it's not like they cut the meat in favor of more fries. Lots of flavorful meat, onions, and tzatziki sauce. Yum! The sides of fries are also huge. If you're getting them Greek style, you'd better like onions and garlic, because there's a whole world of flavors in there, and you'll be tasting them and the feta for the rest of the afternoon. Food is delicious and nutritious, usually I have the gyros or a gyros bowl, those are my go to- delicious balance of meat, veggies, and yogurt sauce. Tonight I decided I'd have the Prassini salad with chicken souvlaki. SO DELICIOUS. A simple romaine salad with dill and green onions, and a light lemon dressing. Topped with my protein and cheese. So perfectly balanced, I added a toasted pita on the side and that was delicious, toasty and topped with zatar . And for dessert the frozen yogurt topped with honey and baklava. I only got through about 1/3 of my fries and then realized that was a huge mistake. My mouth was burning from all of the garlic and it was all I could taste. I brushed my teeth then, at night, and the following morning and it was still all I could taste. Who wants that much garlic?? Really? It also ruined the other ingredients on the fries like the meat and feta because it was all you could taste. 0/5 I'd get the pita again but plain fries. read more

Since you will not respond to attorneys then I will leave a beautiful review here for you and your restaurant. I placed an order through door dash for beef/lamb gyro pita on in mid-October. There was a screw in my food that I bit down on and chipped a back molar. Also, I almost swallowed the screw. My attorney has been trying to get a hold of your claims department as well as the franchisee who owns the business. No response....I have the uneaten portion of the sandwich with said screw in my freezer. I will continue to pursue this and I may see you in court if this does not get resolved! read more

I ordered the Falafel Wrap and being completely honest with you - it didn't WOW me. The size of the wrap was great but it was lacking something that I can't put my finger on. The first two or three bites were good but after that, I was done. It was packed with more veggies and not enough of the falafel or sauce. Got a Greek salad with chicken today and was really optimistic. The chicken smelled amazing but there was barely any dressing on the HUGE chunks of tomato and cucumbers. My wife made some dressing and added it but it was still really bland. For $14 you would think there would at least be a side of dressing.
