This place has never disappointed. I've been coming here for three years now and every time I feel so welcomed as if apart of the family. Then of course the food is amazing! Tonight's experience was the same! I came in with them busy serving the dinner rush. Despite being busy, they took the time to hand pick chicken out of the chicken fajita mix for my little girls to enjoy. I didn't even ask, they offered! I told them only what was easy and without hesitation they went the extra mile. I've rarely been to places that are this dedicated to the customers and make sure everyone leaves happy. They aren't joking around when they say their burritos are JUMBO. My goodness!! We stumbled upon this place when we were on Whidbey Island and who needs Chipotle when you have Jumbo Burrito? So much more authentic and the burritos are HUGE. Jumbo Burrito first started as a food truck and their success led them to open a storefront. I had to get an order of their famous Jumbo Burrito with carne asada and I was not let down. The ordering method is a conveyor belt style and you can ask for anything you want. I love how guacamole is included in the price. There's a ton of stuff in the burrito and it can get a little messy but it was so good! I loved the carne asada which I thought was tender and packed with flavor. The tortilla that they used was a little on the thin side. I wish it was a little thicker or if they used 2 tortillas, that'd help keep the shape of the burrito easier. I'm a fan of tortillas that are a little chewy and on the doughier side of things. The salsa station "limits" you to 1 cup of salsa per person but who's looking? There's also a horchata fountain but no ice machine. That could use some improvement. Jumbo Burrito = JUMBO BURRITO! Yes, this restaurant is one of those places that actually live up to their name. We heard about this place through my husband's coworker and had to check it out. It's located in Oak Harbor on WA-20, next to Home Depot and Applebees. There's ample parking upfront and in the back. We've been here a few times and every time we come, there's always a line...and there's a reason too! (because they're so good!) On our first visit, we had no clue what to order. Even with the long line behind us, the worker was friendly to help answer our questions. We asked the difference between the Burrito and Cali Burrito, and the difference is the Cali has fries inside and it's huge! So we decided to split the Cali with carne asada and my husband (thinking it wasn't enough, ha) ordered a taco as well. Let's just say, we were both beyond stuffed and satisfied! Everything from the carne asada to the fries to the toppings (guacamole is included in the price!) were all so delicious! I almost couldn't finish my half of the burrito but it was so good, I just had to. Even my husband who can eat a lot kinda regretted ordering that extra taco because he was getting so stuffed off his half of the burrito. Jumbo Burrito is no joke. Order a jumbo burrito, and that's what you'll get. I've never seen so much stuffed into one tortilla! I live in SoCal, in the Taco Belt - down at the end of the belt, where the extra holes are - and Jumbo Burrito is as good as any of the taco places there. Their hottest hot sauce is a little mild for my SoCal tastes - I think they use serranos to make it, where some joints back home use haberneros - they are playing for the local Pacific Northwest crowd, but it's as tasty as any you'll find anywhere. If the line looks long, don't worry about it, it moves fast so be ready to order quick. It looked like the entire U.S. Navy was in line last time I ate there, and they got everybody's order out lickety-split. It's about a two hour drive from Seattle to Oak Harbor, and I'm considering making the trek on a regular basis simply because of how freaking good their food is, especially for the price. On top of this, we had our young children with us, and the staff was so kind to them as well, interacting with them, making our toddler's day by giving him a small treat at the register.
