Pizza slices shouldn't be bigger than your head. They shouldn't drip that much grease. It is about as bad of a decision as one can make, in regards to one's waistline. But assuming you find yourself in the neighborhood after too many drinks, it almost certainly will seem like a good idea. If you've been drinking, you are allowed to eat it. The food was ok. The first time I went, I was pretty far gone as it was a little after 4am after a looong night of clubbing. The crust was niiiice and crispy :) I remember the sauce was kind of tangy and it got me through the rest of that night. So, I went back two weeks later, with no alcohol in my system, to see if I still thought it was amazing. This is GREAT drunk food :) but I wouldn't take it as worth any more than that. read more

Boyfriend was craving a slice of pizza. Ordered a cheese pizza and it was a jumbo slice as advertised. He said it was pretty good and he's from New York! He knows good pizza. We asked for the pizza to go because we knew we wouldn't finish it as we just had falafel next door, and we were told that the box would be 50 cents. Really? The pizza is thin and greasy, but it is certainly jumbo. It's not great or even good pizza, but in the right situation, it hits the spot. The place smells like the restroom in a park in July, and the actual restroom lacked soap or a sign instructing employees to wash their hands before returning to work. Yum! Came to DC to visit a few friends and we went out to Adams Morgan for a night on the town. After a bit of debauchery at a nearby bar, we headed to Jumbo Slice for some huge pieces of pizza. Forked over $5 to be handed a pizza slice (worth 4 normal slices) and chowed down. It was pretty decent, I won't lie. I'm a New York pizza girl so I love thin, chewy, crisp crust and I'm picky about it. This pizza passed the test and I ate my whole slice! Aren't you proud? (See current profile photo). It maybe have to do with the sheer size of the pizza but it sort of drips grease all over the place so watch out! Definitely the go-to after drinks spot (also apparent because of the huge crowds of people walking in and out to buy some pizzas). read more

Exactly what it sounds like...JUMBO.SLICES. Greasy, humongous pizza you have to fold over to hold properly in your hand. I admit I had to split it with a friend to finish it. For $5 it's not bad. It's just easy, sloppy drunk food. Not a place I would come during the day because they don't actually have any other toppings beside pepperoni or cheese. It's a small spot, completely crammed with people waiting in line and sitting around. The slices here are ENORMOUS and the service is extremely fast. However, the flavor of the pizza was just....meh. I'm a huge fan of pizza crust but I just didn't find it tastey. It gets kind of crowded/messy inside after 12am. If you're looking for quantity over quality & on a budget, I highly recommend this place. Anyone who thinks this is real pizza has either never tried real pizza, or doesn't have an appreciation for real pizza. I bought a slice of pepperoni and a can of soda. For the size, it's definitely a good value. Normally I never eat pepperoni because I don't eat pork, but the pepperoni they use on their pizza is halal. I've accidentally had pork before and you can't tell the difference. The dough was dense and too chewy. Pizza dough for pizza styles like that (I'm guessing they're emulating NY style and failed miserably) need to have a little more air in the dough to make for a slightly lighter crust. I can make a better crust from scratch that's much lighter and crispy. The cheese tasted and a little cheap. Cheese quality really makes a difference in the taste. It didn't taste like quality mozzarella, but more like your garden variety Dominos or Pizza Hut cheese. The only thing I have to say they did well with is the sauce. They're sauce was fantastic, but not enough to make the entire slice enjoyable. From all the reviews I've seen, some of you hipsters have a long way to go in terms of recommending decent and edible pizza. read more

When they say "jumbo slice", they really mean it. The slice of pepperoni that I had when it came out of the oven ($6), was HUGE. I mean HUGE. The slice was about 14 inches long, took up two paper plates, and was delicious. I had to fold it New York style to eat it, and even then, it looked like two slices of pizza. The bottom was perfectly cooked, the crust tasted nice, and it was a perfectly greasy slice of pizza. It was the first time I had ever been full from a slice of pizza, and I gotta say, it was well worth it. read more

For quite some time when my crew and I would travel to DC, My friend Kat would say we have to get jumbo slices. For some reason or another, we never made it. This past weekend, Kat finally made us go and I'm am so very glad we made the trek. When they say Jumbo, they truly mean jumbo. One slice is enough to fill a medium size box. Me being greedy, I ended up getting a slice of pepperoni and a slice of Cheese. I tried and failed to even eat one full slice, so I ended up having pizza for days. I probably couldn't eat this sober but at 2, 3 in the morning, it's the tastiest pizza you could ever have. The epitome of the afterclub drunken splurge. HUGE slices of pizza for like 4 bucks each. Its literally about a third of a pizza. I personally prefer the one on U Street, as it has couches and tables. Gets extremely crowded on weekends around 1am. I think the slice was like $5 and it is jumbo! Honestly, it's not going to be the best pizza you've had. Maybe even bottom 10, but for drunk food it kept me satisfied! Great after club eats. Pizza was hot and fresh. It was a bit crowded being everyone was coming from the club. It took around 20-30 minutes to get our order. I attributed that to the crowd. Nothing spectacular but serves it's purpose...quick after the club eats. read more

Giving this place 3 stars for two reasons: the novelty of a GIANT slice of pizza (totally Instagram worthy), also the atmosphere is poppin!!! However, the pizza tastes like cardboard.
