rolls with sesame and a honey butter, I think

The best crab cakes we have ever had...consistently. And we were born and raised in Maryland and have sampled many crab cakes in and around Baltimore, Annapolis and DC. The service has always been friendly and great--but reservations for the inside restaurant are a must. Despite being a relaxed, beach setting, the atmosphere is always classy. I recently heard they will be leaving this location...we hope they re-open in 2025 at another OC location. Crab Mountain, Crab cake and Filet are our favorites. Salad and bread have always been good too.

This is the restaurant near a very large hotel.

This place had very bad service but I tried to be patient because it was busy and there was minimal servers. My table ordered shirley temples and they were very watered down and had no cherries. When the food finally came it was okay. My brother and I ordered fries and they weren't bad but they're nothing special. I wouldn't recommend going here especially if you don't prefer loud music. Also, the music was basically just a man with a bad voice screaming into the microphone.

Went inside for 1st time. Got the crab mountain. This was awesome and inside was cozy. Have to make reservations for only 10 tables only. Only 1 set back the tip calculation on receipt is wrong, I tip on food and drinks, not taxes. Need to fix.

Sweet potato fries and strawberry daiquiri (virgin)

This place EATS! The sweet potato fries are majestic the whipped cream is unexpected but delicious with the fries. They have virgins of every drink and i can confidently say as someone sober its top notch! The waitress was very nice too! Highly recommend for a nice snack, meal or just drink with lovely views of the ocean. Usually have a live band too and they are amazing!

Convenient, breezy, spacious deck where you can enjoy a bite to eat on the Oceanside. They completely revamped their indoor area too. Happy hour is $1 off all drinks, every day from 4-7pm, and there's live music during the summer season. I love stopping by for Mac and cheese bites, sweet potato fries, crab cakes, and fish and chips. The crab cakes are STRAIGHT UP crab meat, no filler--well worth the price.

Banana Crush and Red Bull $16.75 during Happy Hour

I'm ticked - there are no prices for the drink selections. The people at the bar are not friendly despite that bar tending is a tip service industry- I can't imagine anyone making good tips here. The women bartenders were short tempered and just not friendly, the older male bartender- nice and accommodating. The older women said I can't order food for another 25 min, the male bartender said I could. Hmm. The worst is that it was Happy Hour and one alcoholic drink and non alcoholic drink - a banana crush and a Red Bull cost $9.50 and $6 respectively. A $6 Red Bull?! WTH I asked the lady if she rang it as a Red Bull and she just responded with a yep. Sucks and we are owners at the Plaza too.

    sweet potato fries, so good

it may look like another touristy beach front restaurant, but lowk the food and drinks are really good. has a really good view of the beach too and the staff is super friendly

strawberry daiquiri + sweet potato fries

this place is a 1000/10, amazing drinks, atmosphere, ambience, and food. the chefs were cooking up a storm making these sweet potato fries, they taste heavenly with the whipped cream. best fries on the east coast, period! everyone needs to come here immediately.

It's a refreshing change from the typical boardwalk dining experience. The food was outstanding. We especially enjoyed the perfectly seared scallops, rich and flavorful oysters Rockefeller, and a well-prepared steak that was cooked exactly as ordered. The cocktail program was equally impressive, both the martini and Old Fashioned were expertly crafted. As a bourbon and whiskey enthusiast, I particularly appreciated the extensive selection available here. It was nice to find quality whiskey options beyond the sweet, fruity summer cocktails that dominate many Ocean City menus. The service was attentive, the atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, and the overall experience was excellent. Definitely a place we'll return to on future trips.

Perfectly refreshing, bright, and exactly what you want on a beach‑town evening. We shared the pretzel with crab cheese dip, and that was phenomenal -- warm, soft, and paired with a rich, flavorful crab dip that tasted fresh and indulgent without being heavy. For my meal, the crab cake was very good, full of flavor and nicely done. My Caesar salad was crisp and well‑dressed, and the fresh‑cut fries were perfect -- exactly what you'd hope for from classic boardwalk‑style fries, just served in a restaurant setting. Hot, salty, and addictive. Between the drinks, the food, and the relaxed coastal vibe, Tailchasers absolutely delivered for us. We'll definitely be back.

Everyone was standing around just gossiping. We sat at the table inside and waited about 15 mins to get a server. I realize this is pretty normal here in OCMD, but there were a lot of people standing around and a handful of people eating. The server was a nice guy. He wasn't one of the folks standing around. We were hopeful. Drinks were watered down. They were supposed to be frozen. We ordered brisket Putíne. Absolutely flavorless. Had to add salt and pepper to make it edible. Even my teens didn't like it. I personally had the shrimp tacos. They fell apart, and were inconsistent in prep. One had 2 shrimps, the other had 4. One had sauce, the other did not. The taco was falling apart after the 3rd bite. Very unpleasant to eat. The oysters we ordered had tons of shell pieces in it. Again, down to the preparation. My husband had the lobster roll. It was actually good, but the portions of lobster were a joke. We went to the crab factory down the road a week ago and the value, bread and amount of lobster was a better value with equal taste. Overall, this seems like a tourist location and very hit or miss. Our experience was definitely miss for the price.

I'll give the restaurant a 4 star review for the sauces and food combinations. The fish and pork chops were an excellent choice for my guests. Unfortunately I ordered the flank steak, medium rare. I didn't send it back which would have ruined the mood of the dinner, but the pork chop took 25 minutes to prepare. The flank steak came out luke warm and was not at all tender. It would have been better medium or medium well as it was a bit rubbery. The server should have warned me when she indicated to my guest that she preferred the pork chop. She was a bit abrupt and talked too fast. The Parker house rolls were a bit dry, not warm and tough. I'm from Baltimore and Parker house rolls are should be warm, soft with a lovely aroma and melt in your mouth. The honey butter helped but not enough. My husband had the Petit Filet mignon then a creme brulee for dessert which was small, thin, light, and wonderfully creamy. It came topped with strawberries. You can watch the sunset but at the table by the windows, you may be a bit blinded by the sun until it sets and it got rather warm in the sun.
