Juno's Facebook page mentioning their closure.

I dropped by on 25 April 2026 to get a couple of sandwiches to go, and found them to be permanently closed. There was plastic on the windows inside, and a goodbye message in crayon from a child posted in the window. I was sufficiently surprised and saddened that I forgot to take a photo of the windows... I'll give them a final 5-star rating. ;_; I'll greatly miss their sandwiches and desserts. Juno's Facebook page has a message saying that they now own Juju's Kitchen & Cocktails at 15th & L (taking over operations on 8 May), and that Nene's by La Costa will be taking over the Juno's location.

Grilled chicken sandwich

I think if I could eat one sandwich for the rest of my life, it would be the bacon chicken avocado sandwich from Juno's. The chicken is perfectly grilled, the manchego cheese adds a sharpness that I've never tried in another sandwich, and the aioli ties it all together. I love the potatoes here because they're thin and tasteful, and it super crispy. Amy is simply the best as well. She's welcoming, attentive, and I enjoy seeing her every time I go. Make sure you have cash! There is an atm nearby but it's always good to be prepared. Also the nugget and shortbread cookies are some of my all time favorite treats.

Their sandwiches are some of the best around Sac! Their bread is always fresh and their food is extremely filling. The pastrami sandwich has a hefty amount of pastrami and the pasta sauce was fresh and has an excellent flavor to it. Overall one of the best sandwich spots. Is recommend their grilled chicken sandwich, their pastrami sandwich, and the shrimp pasta. I would "not" recommend their banh mi though... all others have been tried and tested and those reviewer gives a thumbs up.

One of the best gourmet take-out sandwiches in Sacramento! I stumbled upon this place and I'm so glad I did. It's a small, cash-only shop that only does take out. I tried the eggplant sandwich and I can say it was one of the best sandwiches I've had. The eggplant is fried to perfection, and the sauce they include is amazing. The bread was hearty and the side salad was great. I can't say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend and would like to try other things here!

It's so funny! I saved Juno's Kitchen this past week because I wanted to remember to visit here one day. I went to an event down the street and was walking to a little spice store and passed this place! So excited to try a sandwich here. I got the turkey pesto. Wow! The bread was delicious! Definitely a gourmet sandwich. Had it with a side of potatoes. Yummy! Friendly service too. So happy I accidentally walked by!

Wow -- one of the best kept secrets in Sacramento! One heads up -- this is a take out primarily so AND CASH ONLY! Now, onto the fun stuff -- Talk about absolutely insane flavors and quality ingredients!! We finally stopped by here and got the eggplant parm sandwich, a chicken special, kale Caesar and brownie. All which were truly amazing flavor bombs. The woman behind the counter was beyond kind, and even tossed in a blondie without us knowing after my wife asked about it (we ordered the brownie). The interaction was pleasant, kind and they even tossed our order name under our new baby which she asked about as well. The food was so good that after we decided we needed to eat through the entire menu and try it all! Cannot wait to be back and have NO CLUE how and why we went so long without checking this place out. One of the absolute best spots in Sacramento!

The BEST Panko Crusted Eggplant Sandwich ever! I cannot rave enough about this sandwich from Juno's. They serve really high quality sandwiches and everything is made in house including the bread. The basil aioli on this sandwich is delicious. They do not skimp and I think there was two long pieces of smashed eggplant with a cheese skirt on it.There was roasted bell peppers too and this is my favorite kind of sandwich. Forget meatless Monday, I would take this sandwich over another any day. I was sent to a happy place with each bite and back to earth. Please do yourself a favor and order this sando, you won't be disappointed. I was lucky that I got there on a slow Friday afternoon. There are no tables or plates for dine in, but local coffee shops in East Sacramento are pretty nice.

Turkey Sandwich, Salad

Juno's will be a new classic East Sacramento stop for me. Service was immediately friendly and helpful! The menu is small, but effective. I ordered the 'Turkey' sandwich which consisted of pesto. So incredibly delicious and perfect for the spring weather. It is a takeout style kitchen, without seating available. However the service was speedy and you can tell the staff cares about every visitor. Amazing!

Italian sliced deli sando!!

Adorable, cozy, dog friendly take out for sandwiches. The bread was delicious and the sliced Italian meats were delicious. Worth another visit for another daily special.

Amazing Today they didn't except cards only cash but no worries the liquor store across the street had a ATM machine.

The deli sandwiches is where it's at though, and there's always a long line. The sandwiches are so loaded! You get the order sheet to the left side of the deli and put your form in the basket. Then walk around the store and pick up delicious cheeses, charcuterie meats, snacks, and fresh pasta. Their ravioli is pretty famous and reminds me of an upgraded version of the nostalgic soft, square beef raviolis that I grew up eating. If you don't want to commit to the entire box of take-home ravioli, you can buy it by smaller tubs from the deli. After 20-30 mins, your sandwich should be ready for pickup. The workers there are so friendly and provide great service. They genuinely seem to like their jobs. We got one guy helping us out from one end of the deli to the other end and he was so patient and happy the entire time. There was a sweet lady handing out cheese samples as well. Everything I tried was so delicious. I especially loved how thin they slice the charcuterie meats where they are translucent when held up to the light. Can't wait to go back for their fresh pastas and homemade sauces.

My wife loved the avocado on her sandwich, and I personally can't get enough of the Chicken Bacon Ranch and Chicken Pesto. I'll admit, it's in a location I probably would have overlooked since it's connected to a gas station. Never thought I'd be raving about food from a place attached to a gas station, but don't knock it until you try it! We've been back multiple times already and are officially hooked. Highly recommend!

One thing to note for families: the kids' grilled cheese does not come with fries or a drink, which was a little disappointing. Overall, the food was delicious, but the wait time and cleanliness issues took away from the experience. My to-go order is the Hornet on a Dutch crunch roll with everything on it except mustard. Make it a combo with chips and a drink, and you'll have an incredible lunch. The ambiance is different from other sandwich spots in midtown. The chairs and tables are older and worn, and it's small inside, but it's also inside an old house that was converted into a restaurant. That alone makes this place unique. People hang out inside or outside with friends and enjoy the vibes. There's a real sense of community that the Sandwich Spot brings along with uniquely crafted sandwiches. All of the sandwiches are named after people or landmarks in Sacramento. The Pastrami Shop was roughly 7 miles from home, so it was worth the short drive. The place is right off Sunset and Whitney Blvd in Rocklin. It's a very small place so ordering to go is popular. But if you find a seat, definitely enjoy the local vibe of the regulars and talk with the owners for a bit. They really are passionate about their business, and serving their customers. I really enjoyed my half hot pastrami classic sandwich. The bread was toasted, mustard, provolone, and a side of pickles and jalapeños. Boy was it good! I really should have had the full size. The general look and atmosphere is off-putting. It seems devoid of product, somewhat disheveled and disorganized and lacking any substantive character. The place appears very 'long in the tooth', and no food products were evident anywhere. Added to it, no customers, yet some came later. Yet, I was hungry and stayed. To be honest, glad I did. They sell essentially one thing-PASTRAMI, and that's it. Well, indeed true to the restaurant name. Again, everything is basic! I opted for a Classic Pastrami Sandwich and was given the option for bread, I chose a soft roll, and provolone for cheese, plus mustard. At $22. for a sandwich, well, I had some hesitation. The place is apparently owned and run by a charming older couple who really are out to please, very friendly and congenial. I felt like I fell into an old Russian Jewish deli on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, no frills. Basic, but good food! OK, the Pastrami and the entire sandwich were AMAZING! The quality of the meat was top notch and quite good, probably some of the best around. The sandwich was HUGE and enough for two meals. I was offered peppers on the side and it was perfect for me to add some. The sandwich was nicely warmed/toasted, the cheese melted perfectly and it wasn't a difficult messy thing to eat as are many more upscale sandwiches and burgers these days. So, in the end it was worth it. The sandwich was indeed a surprise and excellent. Plus, they checked after I bit into it to be certain I was satisfied, with a smile. I got some chips and a drink and ate it there. Plenty of napkins were provided. Located in a rather funky 1960s shopping mall it's small, not that easy to find yet parking seems OK. Albeit it somewhat pricey the food is very good and the value is there. If you want Pastrami then this is the place. They sell bulk packages of it too. Try it. You might be as surprised by it.
