I've had a few really positive experiences at Just Tires. I bought 4 new tires for my car in the fall. Total price installed was about $600 which was as cheap as anywhere else that I looked. The service was friendly and also includes free tire rotations every 3000 miles. The service clerk recommended that I purchase an extended tire warranty for $15/per tire. Normally, I pass on extended warranties, but $15 per tire seemed cheap to me. Sure enough I ran over a drywall screw in my alley (awesome) and needed some tire work. I brought the car to JT, they looked up my customer info. They verified that I had the coverage and I was all set. They had the option to repair or replace the tire. In my case, I needed a new tire. They replaced the tire (retail $150) with no hassle or issue. They did charge me a nominal fee for balancing and a new valve stem. Also, I opted for another $15 to get the warranty on this tire. I was out the door for $30, for a new tire. I was pleased. 2 days after the repair, the center part of the wheel cover fell off. It possibly was never replaced after the tire repair. I went back to JT. They searched the shop, but could not find the missing wheel cover. The manager told me that he would order a replacement and it would take a week or so to get it in the shop. He did not quote me a price and I figured that this would cost me a few bucks or an argument. The manager called me the next morning. They had the replacement part ahead of schedule. I drove to the shop. The replaced it for me. I asked the manager how much he was going to charge me. The answer.....nothing. Just Tires picked up the cost. In short, I recommend Just Tires to anyone looking for replacement tires. The pricing is competitive, and the service is outstanding. I will never shop anywhere else for tires. read more

A++++ I got an oil change at another location in the suburbs and after an unfortunate mistake I came here which is my regular just tires location to see if they could rectify the problem. NOT ONLY did they fix the issue immediately, they were also nice enough to top of my fluids, reattach the lines to the winder washer fluid AND installed new wipers on my car for free. Felipe was fantastic and the manager of this store is obviously very dedicated to customer satisfaction, even if his location was not responsible for the mishap. Lesson learned. My wife went in today to get a new tire because there was a screw near the sidewall and we were told by Costco that it could not be fixed. Just Tires was the only shop where we could find the specific Goodyear tire we needed, so we didn't have to buy a new set of tires. My wife got a call from shop that the tire was okay, the screw did not puncture enough of the tire to require a new tire. Just Tires charged us $0. Even though they did work to remove the tire from the car and rim and put it all back, they charged us $0. You cannot get more honest then that! I have come here a few times to have my tires done. They are friendly and it gets done quickly; however the last time that I came in to get 4 new tires they told me the price which I was fine with. Then they called and said that I needed an alignment which I was good with too. Got home and found out that they added on the hazard protection program and the three year free alignment program without even asking me or telling me. They just assumed I wanted the extra stuff which was a total of 200 bucks more! Make sure to ask the details before agreeing to anything,and make sure that they give you what you want and not just what they want you to have. Bottom line, decent place but really crappy business practice trying to make more for themselves by not communicating with the customer. Personally, I won't go back here in the future. I'll go someplace and pay more to get honesty. read more

These guys are either shady, sloppy, or both. My low tire pressure light had been on so I had a guy at a gas station I go to check my tires and he tells me I have one tire with a slow leak. He fills it with air and all is fine for a few days until the tire is very low - enter Just Tires. I drive the car over to their shop with a tire with obviously low tire pressure. I instruct the guy working the counter to check the rear tire on the driver's side only and to call me when it is done. If it needs to be replaced I tell them to let me know so I can go get more money. Three hours later I call them after not hearing back from them. I am told all that was needed was a patch job and it would be $39. I thank him and tell him how happy I was that I didn't need a new tire. I grab my coat and get ready to head out and I receive a second call from them. This time I am told by a different guy that the total is now almost $300 a mere ten minutes later. So let's get some things straight. First, I never told them to work on anything other than the driver's side rear tire. Next, I never gave them authorization to do any additional work on my car. What do they do? They start working on the wrong tire first according to their story ignoring an almost flat tire on the other side of the car - the tire I wanted them to work on. They tell me both tires have nails in them even though one tire did not have a slow leak when checked a few days earlier. Sounds awfully fishy to me. Best case scenario is that they are sloppy. They made a mistake and worked on the wrong tire. Then they exacerbate their mistake by beginning to work on a second tire without my authorization. Finally, they make matters worse by never bothering to call me when I needed a new tire in spite of me asking them to do so. That's the best case scenario. The worse case scenario is that they are shady. That they worked on a second tire that didn't need to be worked on and concocted story about both of the tires having nails in them. Then forget to keep their story straight with one guy giving a $39 bill from one guy and almost $300 from the other. Both workers tell me the work is done but it's not because when I come get the car twenty minutes later it is still up with guys working on it leaving me wait almost 30 more minutes. We are not car people, and have one mostly to take our dog to our friends' and to go out of town with her. We've taken our Civic for oil changes for the past two years and the staff have been very efficient. The prices are reasonable for the city /location and speed of service - I can drop the car off, go for a run, and be ready to go. Last year, a friend was in from out of town and we slid because the tires that were on the car when I purchased it were not the highest quality. They had the right size/type for our needs in stock and had them ready by the next morning even though we dropped it off pretty late. I purchased an unlimited alignment package, it felt a little steep up front, but we feel it has already paid for itself with Chicago's awesome potholes; they check pressure and do rotations also when I go for service. We've been going here for our tire needs for years, and always been very happy. This past Saturday however we were very disappointed with our service. We went in to have a tire looked at and possibly replaced, and possibly struts repaired as well. They were clearly busy but the staff was still friendly. They took our information and asked if we'd be dropping off, and we said yes as we had some errands in the neighborhood. When we returned (45 minutes later) they indicated where the waiting room was. We stayed there for over an hour before I finally ventured out to check on the status of the car. I wasn't expecting it to be ready, but wondered if they'd looked at it yet. The man behind the counter said it would be "hours" before they'd even look at it. I was stunned that we'd not been told anything about the wait. The man insisted that he'd told us it would be a long wait. Sorry, not true. I had a lot to do that afternoon, and would have returned at another time if he'd said that. I asked for my keys so I could leave. They were handed to me and I asked where my car was. I was told, around the corner, but looked around (in the cold and it was snowing), no car. I returned to the store and the man now said "I have no idea where your car is". Unbelievable. Finally, he checked and learned it was in the opposite direction of where he had indicated I should go looking for it. By the way, never even a "sorry" from anyone. Look, I get people are busy, and maybe he genuinely thought he told me the wait would be upward of 4-5 hours, but not getting my car for me, or showing me where it was, seriously? On Saturday 6/20/20 I stopped in at the 4809 N Broadway location due to a nail I found in my front right tire of my Jaguar XK8 about 2 inches off the sidewall in the tread. This seemed like an easy patch to me and I left the car for service. I was quoted $60 for the patch. I received a phone call from the store saying that the nail was to close to the sidewall and that the tread was below 2/32nds depth. They recommended 2 front new tires. This did not feel right to me since I knew where the nail was and that the tires which I only drive on in the summers and replace with snow tires in the winter were only 3 years old and have barely a full years use. Monday I took the car to a Jaguar specialist, Imports Unlimited in Highland Park. They looked at the tire and assessed the nail had not punctured the tire. It was only stuck in the tread. Removed it and did not charge me anything or plug the tire in any way. Given this experience and the obvious attempt to take advantage of me and get me to buy 2 new tires I will never take my car to a Just Tires location again. Don't get your oil changed here, they seem to forget how to do it. They also like to keep tire caps for some reason and leave your tires flat even though you asked them to check them. Takes an hour and they don't even fill up the oil it was missing SO much oil. There were a couple other things wrong but this is about all the attention I'll give to them. Go elsewhere! Poor service! Don't trust them. This is the second time I've brought a car in for an oil change and tire rotation (I assume oil/filter was changed). I know the tires have not been rotated on 2 separate occasions (I marked my tires to make sure they were rotated because of my previous bad experience here). The front desk tried to tell me the car had had the tires rotated, but when I showed them that the tires were marked, they told me the car "didn't need the tires rotated" (even though I asked specifically to have the tires rotated and confirmed 2x when I picked it up due to previous problem). Go to a better quality shop. Sadly, you can't trust that they will complete work as ordered/paid for. read more

So I thought this Just Tires was alright, until recently. I have had very bad luck when it comes to getting flat tires, this year, I'm averaging about 1 per month. The first time I went there, I waited about 2 hours to get my flat fixed, but they repaired it for about $30. That was fine, and I was pleased to have my working car back. Now, considering my track record with flats, I have become pretty good at suspecting there's a problem before it turns into a terrible issue. I noticed my tire light was on and kinda felt a difference in my driving, so I stopped at Just Tires a second time just for them to check and make sure everything was ok. I waited around about another 2 hours, and then they told me everything was fine, no worries. The next day, I was downtown and had a horrible flat tire...the exact one I suspected the day before. Have been going to this location for years. But service seems to get worse every time. I used to deal with some competent friendly people. Not sure what happened to them. Sadly, I don't expect that great of service in most places...but what made me write this review was that their bathroom and waiting area were both disgusting, atrocious, etc.... Had a nail in my tire. Took the tire off my car and brought it in to get it plugged. Guy said they had a "special way" of fixing a tire and it costs $45. Called the mechanic I normally take my car to and he said to bring it by and he'd charge what he charges everybody to do the exact same thing. $15. We came here on Sunday at 2pm to get our two front tires replaced. We weren't expecting them to be done until the next day since they closed at 5pm but surprisingly, we received a call a few hours later letting us know that our car was ready. They even waited past closing time for us since we were in the middle of eating when we got the call. Great customer service! And the attendant was very helpful in answering all of our questions. Grand total was $330 for the two tires, labor, 3 year warranty and tax. Pretty decent considering the tires were about $100 each online (not including shipping) and we got free tire rotation, discounted labor (versus the amount charged when you bring in your own tires) and peace of mind knowing that if anything were to happen, we could just head down the block to get it fixed or replaced free of charge. I have to say the brake work was standard. However, they were very careless and scratched my vehicle considerably. I obtained 2 seperate estimates to repair the damage and they are only willing to pay for half of the damage. They are very careless and really don't care about any body damage or scratches they create. If you have a nice care and care about the paint job don't take your car here!!! read more

I'm not in the business of giving unfair or critical reviews but it goes both ways and after receiving the worst customer service at this Just Tires I will never use them again! I was shopping around for a set of new tires for my truck and I was desperate. I called this location some 5 miles from my home and told them over the phone my tire size, my budget and I spoke at length with an associate named Josh, I received an estimate of $600 and told him I would call back after doing some comparable phone quotes. I called back and after telling this associate I had a better estimate with a rival, he agreed to a price, the best he could do at $575 with a wheel alignment for new tires. i didn't want to drive farther so I scheduled my appt and came in today for my tires and was told by the on duty manager Johnothan, they wouldn't honor the price estimate I received and then jacked the price up $150 to $700!! My jaw dropped! I'm like what happened to the price your associate Josh quoted me?? Can you even get in the ballpark of that price? And they were like do you have proof of this quote? Or a invoice # to show this? They said we can call you back after we talk to our coworker... Man I left so disgusted at the poor customer service. I could t believe I drove all the way out there for that treatment with cash in my pocket!! I went straight to another local place suggested to me called LUCAS TIRE on Western Ave, who not only honored the price this Just Tires gave me, but gave me better tires and a better warranty!! I also got an alignment for the trouble at half the price!!! The reason this review is two stars instead of one is because I have used their services and the experience was acceptable. That experience will be detailed at the end of the review. My last visit to them was on October 20 because I suspected that one of my tires had a very slow leak. They tested the tire as promised and returned the car at the time they promised. When the car was returned, my brake light was now on and the car didn't seem to be driving quite right. I made it a block out of the shop before having to turn around. It turns out that the technician had engaged the emergency brake 25% of the way down and didn't release the brake before returning the car to me. In addition, the car was returned with grease marks all over the cloth interior. I'm not talking about one or two either. I'm talking about caked on grease from where the technician was looking around for something without taking off their gloves. For the record, it cost me $129.99 to get the whole interior shampooed because there were so many marks everywhere. I shouldn't have to say this, but anyone going there should remind the front desk that the technicians should remove their gloves before touching the nice interior of someone's car! I told one of the technicians about the interior and they didn't care. I also asked why they engaged the emergency brake and they didn't have an answer for that. In other words...they didn't care at all. I was just another number and I had already paid the bill. I feel like they thought that they had nothing to lose. I won't be going back there again. My October 20 (at least 3 years before) was acceptable. I researched what tires I should buy (I made the mistake of going in and asking their opinion. They didn't know a thing about the products they sold in the store.) and I had them order what I wanted. They performed the tire replacement and returned the car as promised. The price was right and the service was acceptable. Make sure you know what you want before you go in there. read more

An SUV side-swiped my car hitting the left front wheel -- shook the car like an earthquake but did no apparent damage. Coincidentally, picked up a tack in the same tire. Just Tires inspected the tire and wheel for damage and checked the tire for a leak from the tack. All was well. Best of all, Just Tires charged me nothing for the inspection and the peace of mind. read more

I had a flat tire and brought it in to repair. They put the spare on it and I had to go - they repaired the tire quickly enough and called for me to come back. And...they seemed to misplace my lugnuts as the tech came to ask me where they were. The desk person said no, the lugnuts were not lost. It just takes a long time to deflate the spare. (????) So...over an hour to put a tire on. One tire. I will go somewhere out of the way next time. read more

I have brought my past and current car here for all tire needs and have been impressed with their service and their last minute availability. Most times I have called them after 6 and they have told me to come in. They are open late and within a mile of my house so it is very convenient. Also, starbucks is right across the street so I usually just wait there. Right now I have their 3 year alignment deal where I can get as many alignments as I want for 3 years. Seeing as how driving conditions in Chicago are practically off road conditions, I will definitely be taking advantage of this. Normally alignments are $100 each so as long as I get 1 more done (which I will this month since it has been 6 months) I'll get my money's worth. They also have really good deals on tires bought through them. I wanna say on my old car I had free alignments, balancing, and rotations for the life of the tires. read more

I had an out of town wedding to attend in St. Louis. When I went out to the car early Saturday morning, the front right tire was low. When I went to put air in it, I noticed a large screw embedded in the tread. So what to do? I can't drive 300 miles on this tire and it is 7am on a Saturday morning. It turns out that Just Tires was open. I was their first customer that day. They were able to patch the tire in about a half hour or so and it cost me $35. I was on my way and still made the wedding. Must say I am a fan. We had 4 tires replaced on my car 2 weeks ago. However at high speeds the steering wheel shook. Brought it back and not only did they find the issue but fixed the issue.
