    Shrimp and grits

Street parking only, very chill and casual atmosphere. We came here during COOLinary with the pre fixe menu. The food was top notch and the drinks were even better! I am all about that espresso martini trend and Justine's did not disappoint. They had non-alcoholic creamsicle drinks but thankfully they allowed us to order a couple with alcohol. We tried one with tequila and the other with rum. I can't remember which was better but something tells me it was the rum. Even though it was a limited menu, they definitely had it all together, down to the desserts. Looking forward to trying this place with their normal menu!

We had a great server the hostess had a great interview when we walked in the space is beautiful. I'm so sorry they're closing. Our drinks were yummy. The food took the second to come, but I could tell that it was all prepared and hot. I had fish and grits, we had a oyster appetizer salad was yummy

We were staying outside the Quarter, but close enough that we could walk here. We were greeted right away and they had our reservation ready and knew of some food allergies that wee have and made sure the kitchen was aware of them. We had drinks while perusing the menu and decided on a Gem salad with fried oysters and hen we split the fresh catch of the day. Snapper, fried light with haricot verts and a beurre blanc sauce was just what we were looking for. There are so many venues to choose from here, but we could not have been happier with our selection. Thank you for a great meal on our last night in town.

What a beautiful restaurant, with amazing food to boot! The best shrimp and grits I had in New Orleans, and the most amazing dirty martinis with blue cheese olives. My one complaint is that they seemed under-staffed. Food took a long time to arrive and the staff seemed flustered. I asked for a glass of wine and the waiter said he would send over a sommelier, but 10 min later said the somm was too busy. The glass of white I was given was lukewarm and he said they didn't have a chilled bottle on hand. So that was a not very nice part but otherwise the experience was great.

What an absolute master piece of a bar. Really creative, innovative & expertly executed cocktails. We had already eaten, so we weren't hungry, but all the drinks we had were phenomenal. What we also loved was that our bartender was from Miami like us! The service was top notch and the space itself was beautiful. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this bar if you're going to NOLA.

Food was good. Not sure how to explain it. Everything was good but wouldn't go back. Meaning, happy we ate there but wasn't anything that would bring me back. Had the burger, BLT, eggs and onion soup. Cute place. Good vibes. Good food, but not amazing. A bit in the pricier side for what you get.

We were in town for a HF Sinclair Midstream Managers Summit. Our Operations Coordinator rented out the restaurant for our group. This place did not disappoint. We had a two hour cocktail and small plates. The wrapped shrimp was awesome. Then we had a shortened menu for dinner service which was well rehearsed and quick. Absolutely outstanding service and food.

While strolling down the street in search of some ice cream, I spotted this beautifully decorated spot and couldn't resist stopping in for a drink. While waiting for my order at the milkshake place across the street, I wandered over to Justine's. Despite feeling slightly underdressed for such an elegant setting, I was greeted warmly, like an old friend coming back home. I settled in at the bar and bombed the bartender with hella questions, which he graciously answered. We decided on a gin cocktail, and he even let me sample a gin I'd never tried before--talk about great service! This place has a fantastic vibe, and I'll definitely be back for more!

Went for the Restaurant Week Menu but, we strayed from it a bit! I'll highlight the Restaurant Menu first! - Restaurant Week(RW) Menu: $ Laura Chenel's Cherve (goat cheese) - smooth and tangy, the additions were fun to eat with Shrimp and grits -I'm a sucker for shrimp and grits and I approve! The grits were creamy, smooth, and just amazing! Not only was it a vehicle for the shrimp gravy, but it offset the heaviness of the gravy. It was enjoyable. Banana sticky toffee pudding -brûlée bananas with a single cookie scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with candied pecans sat on top of rum caramel Need I say more? Off RW menu Escargot (snail) -Arrived to the table with the garlic parsley butter sizzling! It was audible that you had to prepare your tongue for a 2nd degree burn lol so be careful with that. We enjoyed this appetizer! It was firm and tasted like a mild salty mushroom if you're wondering about what it tastes like! Hanger steak -This was delicious. We ordered it to be cooked at medium rare and that's what we received! Topped with peppercorn sauce, it gave the dish a more sharp and slightly spicy notes of black pepper. Drinks: Espresso Martini I didn't taste too much espresso in it due to the ratio of gin used. I would give it another chance though. Rosé Bellini This was sweet and refreshing! Overall the service was fast and flowed well. The interior design is gorgeous. Perfect for brunch or date night Use the bathroom because on the way there, you'll see their walls to their back dining room beautifully decorated!

Stopped by Justine's to get a quick bite to eat. We were able to make reservations in advance. Called to move up our reservation, and had no problem doing so! This restaurant is very aesthetic. Nice for a cute night out or date night. Service was great and pretty fast. I do wish the menu was a bit longer. Also, I don't eat meat, and there were limited options for non meat eaters (but for folks who eat meat, there were some good options). We tried the crawfish Mac and cheese, remoulade salad, and pommes frites. Really enjoyed the Mac and cheese, it's extra cheesy.

Beautiful place and great service however food was not what I was expecting. My escargot came out dry has to send them back as they were overcooked and no butter was left. Steak frites was just average.

Great atmosphere, outstanding ambiance and decor, and fabulous service. I had the Lavish Lavender Royale cocktail: sparkling wine, crème de cassis, lavender syrup, lemon. I fully intended to try the Elysian Spritz and the Pink Peppercorn Paloma as well but the Lavender Royale was so good, I stuck with it. I was with fellow foodies, one who works at Justine, and they both said the burger was the best in the French Quarter. The Justine burger comes with a half pound patty, gruyère, arugula, sauce au poivre, and hand cut fries. Although I loved it, I started with the steak tartare and I haven't gotten over it yet. I love steak tartare and I haven't found a finer one in the city: The menu says fresh horseradish, dijon dressing, egg yolk, pain de mie all mixed in with the chopped steak but the toast it's served with is legendary.

    Fancy Jell-O shots.
    Nikki B.

The French Quarter has so many hidden gems and Justine is one of them. With vibrant murals on the walls this place exudes character. I came here for a private party. It wasn't a formal sit-down meal, but the passed h'orderves were delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the cocktails were fantastic! Especially, the Espresso Martini. Next time I'm in town I'll come back for dinner so I can enjoy the full experience.

My wife ordered a steak Frites well well done and half of her portion slices were medium rare. We started with deviled eggs those were tasty I can recommend that and the shrimp cocktail was good enough. The crab salad was bland it needed something else to liven up the flavor a spoon luck of mayo maybe some pepper or salt. Pepper and salt and all the condiments are on the table which I've never a fan of it. The fine dining restaurants think it means they fancy but this food wasn't fancy the place was nice. The Service needs to be retrained. We ate here because we were seeing the old-fashioned Magic show at Eliza Jane next-door and if you wanna come in for some apps or maybe try or the other entrées I didn't find anything. I really wanted to try because I'm not a big fan of French food I guess I should've tried the duck. There may be some good food here, but I won't be back till to find out we were both underwhelmed. Hopefully they fix the problems if somebody else gives a better review, but I cannot. We both agree the french fries were good. Ambience is pretty good with their remodeling so the bathroom was like a 5 to 10 minute wait it's only one person at a time and women kept using the men's room because it's only. So I had to wait two times for women to come out. Single serve bathrooms definitely are not adequate, but they're doing the best they can during remodeling.

Trying to make a reservation here is like breaking into Fort Knox, nobody answers the phone and when we finally did get a res two weeks out, they MOVED the res ONE HOUR before we were set to arrive. When we arrived the place actually looked very nice and the hostess was helpful in getting us seated, and those were the last moments of happiness we would experience over the next 2 hours. We ordered bottomless mimosas for around 6/10 people in our party. Every single time our bottle of champagne ran out we had to either ask for more or get up and walk over to the bar to request it. When we finally did order our food we were pretty excited, but little did we know we would have enough time to walk down to the morning parades and catch some beads before it would actually come out. From ordering to when our food arrived was a total of 1.5 HOURS. We were 5 minutes away from just walking out. You would think "wow, this food took so long to arrive! It must be good!" WRONG. They spent the hour and a half making our food to turn our order of french toast into a two sided coin, one side normal looking, the other black as coal. Ahh, who needs the hour and a half long wait for their french toast when you can have the duck and waffles, right? And then they brought us a plate of one waffle and a single duck leg for $30. At this point we started looking around for cameras because we thought we were being pranked. Not a single person in our 10 person party (and that's a lot of chances) found this place even remotely close to mediocre. Others had their chicken sandwiches arrive cold, salads arrive bad, and come on how do you mess a salad up? The worst part was seeing a couple get up and walk out from the wait and realizing we were the poor bastards that stayed. It's a shame because the spot itself looks nice, but I guess if you paint s**t pink, it's still s**t. Don't come here.

The biggest issue was the service. After being seated, I waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to my table. I ordered a drink, and after another long wait, I had to remind the staff several times before it finally arrived. Throughout the meal, the service felt inattentive and disorganized. The atmosphere was also disappointing. Given Emeril's reputation, I expected a warm, energetic dining room with some personality. Instead, the restaurant felt rather plain and uninspired. I've honestly seen neighborhood diners with a more inviting atmosphere. As for the food, it was a mixed experience. The fried green tomatoes topped with shrimp were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the crab cake was mostly filler with very little crab, which was disappointing. I also ordered the Chicken Tchoupitoulas, one of the restaurant's signature dishes, but it didn't taste quite right and wasn't enjoyable. To end the meal, I wanted to order Bananas Foster--another signature item--but was told they were out of bananas. At a restaurant carrying Emeril's name, running out of the key ingredient for such a classic dessert was surprising and disappointing. Given Emeril's reputation and the restaurant's location inside Caesars, I expected a much higher level of food, service, and ambiance. Aside from the excellent fried green tomatoes, the experience simply did not live up to expectations. I can only give this establishment two stars out of 5.

We've been here many times over the years, but it had been a while since our last visit. We started with the crawfish beignets and spinach & artichoke dip--both were delicious! I especially love the tortillas they serve with the dip, along with salsa and sour cream. For our entrées, my husband had the redfish topped with crab meat, my daughter had the 12-oz steak frites, and I had the seared scallops with green beans. Everything was good overall, and my daughter especially loved her steak. Each entrée also came with a small salad with a light dressing and a couple of marinated olives, which I really enjoyed. The one disappointment was the lentils that now come with the redfish. My husband remembered the dish coming with potatoes, which he preferred. I tried the lentils too, and neither of us was a fan. The restaurant was packed, but we only waited about seven minutes to be seated, and the lively atmosphere didn't bother us at all. Our server was friendly and attentive despite how busy it was. My biggest takeaway, though, was the price increase. Many entrées are now $35-$40+, and by the end of dinner, we realized we had spent quite a bit for three people--enough to make us think we could have eaten at a higher-end restaurant for the same price. Still, we enjoyed our evening and would recommend Superior Seafood. We especially like coming here for happy hour and sitting at the bar, which is probably our favorite way to visit!

If you're looking for a memorable dinner in New Orleans, Vyoone's is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

For starters, Dr. Vyonne Lewis (yes, a real scientist) refers to herself as a "working owner."…read more That self-effacing description belies the fact that Vyonne's is an expression of culinary and hospitality creativity that comes completely from her heart. This beautiful, relaxing space shares her belief that welcome and activism can work hand in hand to create a unique dining experience. It starts with the entry into this former warehouse, one of the hundreds that give this part of the Crescent City its name. What was once a dark, dank passage is now an inspirational tunnel of light that promises a warm only-at-Vyonne's reception and has become such a focal point that the now-required social media photos of any high quality restaurant experience are (in Vyonne's case) taken there. The tunnel of light opens into the very large courtyard which was the place to be on a sensually warm New Orleans spring evening. Dr. Vyonne gave my companion and I a tour of the restaurant's two levels and while the interior design was French-influenced, her deepest inspiration is women rising throughout the world as so much of the art on Vyonne's walls celebrates women from the culture bearers of the New Orleans to Nobel laureate Maria Corina Machado whose Oslo ceremony Dr. Vyonne attended. Vyonne's makes social, cultural, and political advocacy grown and sexy! We sat inside to be among the decor and decided it was time to partake in the establishment's faire. Drinks commenced with stunningly beautiful cocktails: an espresso martini for her and a strawberry-infused lemon drop for me.. Our server (so sorry I forgot her name but she was absolutely lovely and as convivial as our host) was also our mixologist and our drinks were perfectly proportioned, masterfully blended, and properly chilled. We then opened with the crawfish begniets. Now these are not the traditional begnets drenched in powdered sugar with which one would associate with New Orleans. This was a somewhat denser, more savory pastry that paired well with the crawfish sauce ladled atop. Very flavorful and filling. The begniets paired with the Cheux de Bruxelles: Fried Brussel Sprouts with goat cheese and drizzled with bacon-infused vinegrette. Their being fried actually made Brussel sprouts appealing to me and I can't say no to goat cheese. Another hit for Vyonne's. We proceeded to our respective main courses: for her a pasta dish with Broccoli rabe that just carried so many subtle flavors of grain, vegetable, oils and seasonings but is not currently on the menu. I had the Crevette, les pates, and ecrevisse: Shrimp and Crawfish over fresh pappardelle pasta topped with butter cream sauce, garlic, leeks and finished with aged white cheddar cheese and basil. My eyes were bigger than my stomach and I should have kept it at the appetizers but it was quite a decadent dish on which one should splurge when visiting Vyonne's, and I had promised myself I would take a real swing at the menu. Thankfully I was able to bring the food home with me and it travelled very well even with my having to attend a television taping and held up even better the next morning. Of course, we posed for our own photos in the tunnel. New Orleans is place known for legendary eateries that have operated for decades and even over a century. Commander's , Antoine's, Galatoire's, Muriel's, Herbsaint, August, the list is endless. It's why people come to New Orleans. It will take some time, but I believe Vyonne's can join that list of legendary New Orleans places for which people will hop aircraft to experience. And Dr. Vyonne will be there ready to welcome you as she welcomed me. Vyonne's is where you come as a customer and leave as family. As I cannot wait to return to my spiritual home of New Orleans, I can't wait to visit Dr. Vyonne again and keep working my way through the menu. Go see the doc and she will take great care of you. Vyonne's is a must.
