Food is good. Service is way too slow. Every menu u order takes 20 minutes or more. AC isn't working well the restaurant is way too hot. I was waiting in front of fire for about 30 minutes because the food wasn't coming out. We order rice and it's not even one person portion.

best eel i've ever had. came back twice in 5 days. Super low key spot, this place needs to get more business because i'm gonna need this place to stay in business forever. Ordered the grilled Eel and cold noodles. So fire. we ordered a second eel and they gave us an extra one. The grill has charcoals in it and it really elevates the flavors. the Mung bean pancake is so crispy too. my only wish is that there was also one in Long Beach. haha

Recommended by my friend. When I first walked in, it was full of people. When I sat down, the server came right away and took our order. He gave us recommendations to what to order. 2 orders of bbq eel seemed bit too little but when we finished, it was alot. Three of us were full. We also ordered steamed egg but honestly didn't meet my expectation. We also had kimchi noodle and it was surprising good after all that protein. Sides dishes, the fresh sliced garlic and ssam veggies were refilled unlimited. At the beginning, I thought price was bit high but after I ate the food, the price was very reasonable. For serive, our waiter was super friendly, easy to talk to and very professional. I highly recommend this place if you like fresh eel.

Eel Village (장어 마을) charcoal-grilled eel and Korean BBQ. Walking into Eel Village, the air is thick with the tantalizing aroma of charcoal smoke and sizzling meat, instantly setting the stage for a memorable Korean BBQ experience. The star of the menu, the charcoal-grilled eel, arrives at the table, juicy and ready to finish cooking on your table top charcoal grill. Their short ribs are tender and flavorful. Vibrant banchan, cozy vibe, great portions. Finish it off with Cold Buckwheat Noodles. Service for our table was great. Very attentative even though they were busy. This is not all you can eat. Check out the menu and you will realise how affordable and tasty this place can be.

Ordered two orders of the grilled eel, which they said is their most popular item (one eel is $50). The service here is amazing, they threw in a third free eel for us because one of the eels was apparently small even though it looked normal size and also had complimentary stew at the end. This amount was perfect for two of us without feeling too full. This is our first time trying Korean grilled eel. They grill and cut it for you and it's nice and crispy on the outside and soft/jelly like on the inside. They gave us multiple types of wraps including lettuce wraps, perilla leaf wraps, and some sort of pre marinate perilla leaf wrap. I enjoyed it the most with lettuce and wasn't a huge fan of the perilla leaves. They also come with different dipping sauces as well (one that came with the lettuce/perilla leaves which was a bit salty, eel sauce, and a spicy eel sauce. The banchan here is also good. Parking is easy as it's located in a food plaza.

If you're wanting a Korean-style sushi experience, this is the place…read more What is Korean-style sushi? It's a coursed meal centered around sashimi platters (very unusual to see nigiri at these restaurants), and dishes made with rest of the fish that became sushi. It's sashimi with a lot of extra accoutrements you'd expect in a Korean restaurant. We started with porridge and miso soup, and lots of banchan, including cheesecorn and steamed egg. Then came the sashimi platter. In Korean sushi houses, you get to have soy sauce AND a gochujang based sauce (it's gochujan and vinegar). They also gave us sesame oil + salt and dried seaweed which I think is for the tuna. Then there was tokoyaki, fried rice cakes, tempura, spicy fish stew, grilled fish, fried salmon skin, fried chicken, and spicy marinated crab. All while getting refills on the banchan. It was exactly what I was wanting, as I have not found anything like it in Seattle! The staff was super friendly, and they had a lot of other items on the menu that I would love to try at some point in the future! Highly recommend!

The toro special was buttery and so good especially wrapped in seaweed and dipped in the salt/sesame oil. We had the steamed egg again and it was fluffy and nice. What a unique experience!…read more Grilling, bbq-ing, etc is a norm but steaming your food on the table? Now that's something else! I really enjoyed the dinner I had, they offer lots of options, from freshly made buns, dumplings to fresh seafood. The menu is pretty extensive and they also offer cooked dishes from the kitchen. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They made sure we get the best experience as it was our first time dining at this place. We had the big eye fish as they called it and they steamed it at the other empty table because our buns and dumplings were steaming at the same time to save time. They finish the fish at the kitchen with the hot oil and sauce. We also had the pork and shrimp buns, and beef dumplings. They were delicious! You can make your sauce at the station too and they provide good options. We also got the baby oysters appetizer that was soaking in some sort of light soy sauce marinade. Also got the soft shell crab and you get 3 whole crabs for $10! It was so worth it! The whole restaurant looked clean and inviting. The booths were spacious. I would definitely come back here and try other dishes!

The meat was sweet and tender, and the sauce had a nice balance of savory flavor without overpowering the natural seafood taste. You can tell the quality of the seafood is solid. The sea urchin egg custard was super smooth and silky. The uni added a rich, slightly briny depth that paired really well with the delicate steamed egg. Definitely a standout if you like uni. Each dishes had its own highlight. Ambiance is modern and clean, giving a slightly upscale seafood house vibe. Service was decent and the food came out nicely presented. Prices are on the higher side, but for fresh seafood and quality ingredients, it feels reasonable for a special meal. Would come back again to try more of their live seafood options.

If that bit of consistency doesn't speak volumes I don't know what will. Oc & Lau specializes in Vietnamese street food and essentially works in family style dining. Everything is brought out in platters & large bowls where food is shared amongst the table. The menu is filled with Vietnamese salads, snails, assortment of seafoods, rice, noodles, and hotpot. Vegetarian options are available. As if the menu isn't extensive enough, there is a whole section of drinks- alcoholic & non alcoholic. Must haves: *COCONUT ESCARGOT w/ BASIL LEAVES *GRILLED GARLIC BUTTER ESCARGOT *GRILLED RAZOR CLAMS IN GARLIC BUTTER & PEPPERCORNS *GRILLED RAZOR CLAMS IN TAMARIND SAUCE *SALT & PEPPER SQUID *SPICY GRILLED CHICKEN FEET *RARE BEEF SALAD *DEEP FRIED QUAIL IN BUTTER HOUSE SAUCE *GARLIC BUTTER QUEEN CLAMS The food is authentic and genuinely great! Ingredients are always fresh and the quality is on point. My complaints stem from the restaurant ALWAYS being "sold out of the razor clams" and the stir fried basil clams coming out soupy and off tasting to what they normally should taste like. Not too big of a deal once you factor in all the other great qualities Oc & Lau has. The pricing is costly and the portions can be small depending on what you are ordering. Things add up quite quickly since my family and I eat to get stuffed. Lmao. 5/5 stars because a trip to LA isn't a trip to LA without visiting O&L!!! I'll forever be a fan!!

They start you out with a basket of hot fresh sourdough rolls that let you know that this is California and everything is gonna be great. We enjoyed a Caesar salad with dungeness crab. A fish that is so delectable. Served with some butter and you know why this fish is known as poor man's lobster. I'm usually happy with just the hot sourdough and clam chowder that is in a league of its own! Unfortunately, the service was not to the standard. Very slow pacing and the staff inattentive. Constantly having to get our water glasses filled. Our server just didn't want to be bothered. Minus -2 STARS Make sure you put this restaurant on your plans for 2026.
