TOO MUCH FOR 2 PEOPLE!! I would not recommend going with any less than 3 people if you choose the AYCE option. They require 4 types of meat to be ordered per round, so to get your money's worth it is soooo much food to be consuming with less people. The wine pork belly is awful. It was room temperature and tasted more rancid than anything else. No salt or flavor. The tripe was insanely tough and chewy, you could get the same experience from a rotting tire in Portland. The garlic, and lemon pepper chicken were both dry and flavorless. Not a very good variety of vegetables either. The Galbi was actually flavorful and juicy and I would personally recommend that if you decide to go. The server was polite and very respectful but I might as well have been mute and them blind with how easy it was to call them back to be able to order rounds of food following the first one. They were slow to clean up empty plates as well. The grill was not hot enough to cook things in a timely manner so I would also keep that in mind. We went on a Saturday night and had to wait around 25 minutes to be seated. I don't think I would go back but you can decide for yourself. ;)) read more

Wasn't impressed the first time. Decided to go back for a second time in case it was a one sided opinion. Hoped that things would have gotten better after a few years - nope. This time was worse. Service was fine, ambiance was expected - Food came out looking good. We cooked, laughed, had a good time. We got home, didn't think anything of it until we all ended up in the bathroom. Lost weight, feeling yucky. Maybe it was undercooked meat and it was our fault? Maybe the lights are way too dim for us to determine what looks like a good temp? Maybe the meat was in the expiry stage? We'll never know. Never again going back. read more

Ordered a few items for takeout. Got galbi, japchae, spicy squid and yukejang or spicy beef soup. The food all had good flavor but the squid was overcooked and rubbery. The only banchan they give to go are kimchi and pickled daikon. Prices are quite high for their takeout items and it is more worth it to eat they ayce if you have the time. read more

Visiting Portland but my friends took me to eat Korean BBQ in Vancouver. It is similar to other locations. It is always expensive to eat KBBQ AYCE. The Portion is smaller. I think they have good options in the menu. Beef ribs is must ordered but they won't give you a lot because it is expensive. The service was good. I don't remember her name, started with H. She was good and quick. The inside is big with many tables and I do smell like BBQ after but not that bad. read more

I love K-Town, but this one was a huge let down. The server who swooped in at the end was our only saving grace. The initial server forgot our drinks, forgot our one cooked food order that wasn't just raw meat, forgot our alcohol order, asked twice before straws were brought over... We also had to ask three times and finally ask the kid who brought our our meats for silverware. It just seemed very discombobulated. Nobody was working together. Nobody came by for drink refills or for our next round of meats. It was just such a huge difference between the location I frequent (Lombard). We were out here because we were doing an escape room, eating and then hitting up a rage room. Lunch was definitely the low point of the day. Hopefully it was just an off day, but I definitely won't come back to this location. read more

A really solid AYCE lunch special for $24.99 on weekdays now is great (although the LA Galbi is missing from the menu which makes me sad) but the bulgogi is my fave so we load up on that instead and the addition of the sides like popcorn chicken is great too. We wanted the radish wraps but the last two times I've come to this location they've been out :( those are my favorite. Otherwise K-town is my fave kbbq spot it's better and more modern and cleaner than other kbbq spots and the grills are larger I don't like the round grills you can't get as much meat on the grill at once! This location just got a new menu according to our server too so it's nice and updated for the new year we got a delicious sour patch kids cocktail too it was so yummy! Our server was super nice I wish I got her name she was a blonde girl she took very good care of us on a Monday lunch time, we went 12/29 and she said the menus were brand new for new years and the prices and specials are all updates and there were new years cocktails and everything, it all looked really great! I would have given 5 stars but I was disappointed with no radish wraps 2 times I went and no la galbi for lunch AYCE. But I will say otherwise this spot is deserving of lots of recommendations and praise. read more

Would give this 3.5 stars. Great for groups as are most Korean BBQ places. Food was solid. Not the best I've ever had but far from the worst. Service was excellent - friendly and quick! They changed the grills several times for us. We got the all you can eat option. Wish we could've had some sauces and lettuce included for wraps. The banchan was ok - it had been sitting out a bit and wish there was some more variety considering the higher prices. Pork belly and spicy bulgolgi were some of my faves. read more

We were a party of 3 and waited over 30 min. with an 1/2 empty restaurant. When we were finally seated, they told us they were out of salad dressing and a few other items. It certainly would have been nice of them to disclose these things before we waited for our table. At that point, we may have opted to go somewhere else and try K-town another time. Overall, it was OK but I suspect they were also shorthanded. Not sure if we would return to this location, especially since they charged us full price and didn't deliver on all fronts. STOP! Make sure you order Spicy Bulgogi with EVERY order. The servers here are good, but not the best due to short staff half the time. Regardless, the food is always good. The environment is usually relaxed, but sit at the wrong table and due to air currents you might find yourself with a constant stream of smoke in your face making the experience horrible... Always really happy to eat and grill here! Solo or as a group this a great experience. Staff is friendly and willing to walk newcomers through the experience with great recommendations. I swung by for lunch today and my server made a great recommendation for the sour patch mock-tail. My go to meat favorites are the spicy baby octopus and the soy garlic pork belly. They also play k-pop and other Korean genres in the background which makes for a great experience. My one comment: The cucumber salad was made with real pickles this time! I do prefer the more traditional spicy cucumber salad side, but I understand if it's a stock issue! read more

Meat looks like it's been sitting out due to nobody here. Service is bad and unfriendly . Was seated with no water to start and asking for ANYTHING was a bother. Server would run away as if there were other people here to serve. Two stars for having kids item. Too much sugar in the cheese corn and egg came out flat and burnt. Choices of cook yourself or dishes prepared in the kitchen. The first time, I had a prepared lunch. Beef bulgogi, yakitori and vegetables. SO good and a huge portion of everything. They were very quick at lunch. Next visit we cooked our own meats and bought some side dishes. Chicken yakitori was very good, but we didn't particularly care for the fried chicken. One in our party had a cocktail - a dole whipped something or other and he enjoyed it immensely. Service was very good on both visits and the place is very clean. read more

Went here for dinner last night to celebrate a birthday. We all had the All You Can Eat option. Not cheap, but we didn't go away hungry! I've never tried Korean BBQ before this, so I wanted to give it a shot. We did the 'all you can eat' for the full experience. It was $38 plus tax. It included 4 different meats of your choosing per order and veggies that you can also pick out. They also had a small salad (that was mostly lettuce) and everyone got a small bowl of white rice. Some meats were better than others, but it was interesting to try a bunch of different things. If you really love meat, this should be your kind of place! It was about a 40 minute wait for a table on a Sunday night. Once we did sit down, I really wished the server explained how it all worked. He even asked if this was our first time at a Korean BBQ place and I did say yes. Instead he said he would give us a few minutes and left. Thankfully one of my friends that was eating with us loves Korean BBQ and was able to explain the cooking process. read more

After seeing this place everytime we go to the laundromat, we finally decided to give it a try. Korean food in kind of hard to come by in Vancouver, so I was excited. We walked in & were seated quickly & our server came & took our drink orders. We went with the ayce eat option ($31.99) & chose our first 4 meats. Like most ayce places there are rules, like finishing all your food & you have to order 4 everytime, etc. Those came out really quick. We finished that & went onto order another 4. Honestly it was just okay, nothing special. Some meats that were supposedly soaked in something just tasted like straight meat. Also, not sure if this place gives sauces, but we didn't get any. The pork belly & mushrooms, definitely could've used some sauce. I think we had more luck with the chicken & beef. Our favorites that day were probably the bulgogi & the coconut curry chicken, as those had the most flavor. Service was just ok. It took our server a bit long to come back after we said we needed a few more minutes to look over the menu. Also no one ever came around to refill our water. Overall just average, but if you're craving Korean food in Vancouver, this might be your only option. read more

While the bulgogi is really good and I appreciate the lunch special pricing, this place could use improvement. The service is lackluster and inattentive. If you order chicken, it comes out in huge, full pieces which can take upwards of 35 minutes to cook on the grills which aren't very hot (everything else takes 5-10 min), but good luck trying to cut it up with the extremely dull scissors they give you. It's like trying to cut with a spoon... The hood vents at the last couple of tables we sat at didn't seem to work either, with one of our friends getting absolutely blasted by smoke the whole time. I enjoy the food here because you cook it yourself and they do marinate it well, but there are definitely things that I wish they would improve on. read more

The good- the beef I have concerns about cross contamination since my pork and beef came out raw on the same plate. We were given two tongs with 3 different meats. Also. The amount of rules the poor servers have to follow are ridiculous. They are legit concerned about their jobs if someone "sneaks" out the all you can eat food out. Like come on. It's 2024. The food was fantastic! Awesome portions! Service could have been better for the price they charge per person ($35/person). The gentleman servicing was just 'lukewarm' at best, no energy, no enthusiasm and definitely no gratitude! Unfortunately, the worst part of our meal was the lack of the right ambiance! The smoke from the grill was literally killing us! The whole time we were cooking we were inundated with the smoke directly in our faces that it would sting our eyes! It was like the hood over our table wasn't working! When asking our waiter (Mr. No Personality) if he could increase the suction of the hood, his response was "no, that's how it is!" The smoke directly in our faces was terrible! I've been to many different Korean restaurants, like K-Town, around the globe and their hoods functioned a high capacity drawing the smoke from the grills straight up and out! This was our first time here! Upon hearing it was our first time here, our server Derrick was very helpful and attentive. We ordered all you can eat and ate our first round which consisted of bulgogi, 2 different kinds of pork belly, eggplant. The AYCE includes, salad, steamed rice, steamed egg ( 1 per person) , radish, cucumber salad, kimchi and more! We ordered two pitchers of different beers (1 cider + 1 IPA). (Definitely worth the price of pitchers) but not combined with the amount of food we got. We ordered a second round, this time we got spicy bulgogi, lemon pepper chicken, short ribs and teriyaki chicken, we were not able to eat it all! The second amount of meat was the same as the first (which we did NOT expect) We felt so bad and only had a little bit of leftovers and we are so grateful we didn't get charged for the leftover food and we offered to pay for it and take it home but we're not able to. Overall we WILL be back for pitchers and BOWLS next time and will asked to be seated in Derrick's section! :) read more

I love the service and atmosphere here waaay better than the Beaverton location. Last night, our party of four waited less than 30min to be seated. I checked us in on the iPad and it shows where you stand on the waitlist which was very convenient. Our server was nice & friendly but towards the end of our meal we barely saw him so we had no choice but to order from another server. We were mainly helped by three guys and they were all very chill and easy going to talk to. This one server was so funny, unfortunately we didn't get his name but he's tall and has a bigger build than the others. The server was also surprised by how much the 4 of us could eat. He kept cheering on my bf to eat more and my bf couldn't decline the challenge so of course he went along with it, it was so funny. Next time we go here we wish we could have him as our server again. We had such a good time last night. Definitely would drive from Beaverton to Vancouver just to eat at this K-Town location. read more

Fun, if you like Korean BBQ and grilling your food at your table. It is VERY expensive for the experience, and they have too many rules to follow. Everyone needs to have the BBQ, or you can't have it. One of us would rather just order off the menu, because he hates the self-cooking part, and some of want the BBQ meal, so we just won't go back, because they don't want to please all of their customers. The service can be improved, as not everyone is a pro at navigating their menu and rules. Also, we had to wait a very long time to ask for things, even though the restaurant was not crowded. I think it's worth a try if everyone is willing to try the BBQ, as an experience, but once was enough for us read more

I will say that korean food does not look as appetizing to an american as normal condiment period but I do think that they taste much better than they look. I highly recommend anyone to try a condiment if they've never tried it before. This restaurant impresses you as it's sort of like a sawdust on the floor type of casual vibe. It is a little bit smelly a little bit dirty, but the tables are clean. The service leaves quite a bit to be desired. Since you are greeted by an amateur host or hostess who does not exactly know what to say when you walk in. I was greeted with the question. Can I help you?? To which I answered ah, yes, I would like to eat dinner, please. They do sell korean groceries at the front of the store and as soon as you walk in, you see a dollar store cornucopia, of souvenir foods and trinkets that you can pay extra for when you walk out of the restaurant. I ordered the seafood pancake and the flounder. I highly suspect the $17 flounder was not really a flounder. Since the skeleton, it was much narrower and the fish was much shorter than any flounder.I've ever seen . It was tasty, but I've tasted better flounder in Florida, on the Gulf coast; granted, that was a gourmet restaurant. So I would understand why the flounder tasted better there. I was charged seventeen dollars for a fried piece of meat that was smaller than the length of my hand. Being deep fried, it was also very difficult to eat with the metal chopsticks. I was given ; i was not offered any regular silverware. However, I have eaten there in the past, and have asked the waitstaff for silverware (Because my husband does not know how to use chopsticks), so I do know that they have regular silverware that can be requested. I really did not like the pancake that was brought to my table and at the end of the meal.I asked for it to be removed from my bill. It turns out the waitress had brought me a kimchi pancake and not a seafood pancake. No wonder I didn't like it! I also ordered the strawberry daiquiri flavored soju cocktail. For ten dollars, I feel it was overpriced because they brought it to me in a very, very small champagne glass. I also had to request a straw because every time I tipped the glass towards my lips, the entire glassful of seven-eleven-type slush smacked my face and dripped down my chin, and the side of my glass. I would recommend to the restaurant owner to start using martini glasses, or a straw in a tall boy glass instead. Honestly, the consistency of the string is not conducive to the type of glass it is being served in. NOTE: the menu is a bit confusing, but once you read through all ten pages of the menu, you realize that the back of the menu is where they have that all you can eat options. Also, many of the drinks have an asterisk that notes they are only allowed to be ordered for 2 people per Washington State law due to the amount of alcohol in the drink. I felt no buzz from my drink, TBH. I would never take a date here, gentlemen. Finally, a word about the service. This is the kind of restaurant that lands towards the impersonal. My drink came from one server, I had two different waitstaff ask if I was ready to order, my food came from a fourth person on a huge trolley, my straw and extra napkins came from another person. In spite of what may sound like attentive service, it was NOT. I waited quite a while between contacts, and my meal took a good 20 minutes for them to bring out after ordering. All in all, with nobody seated in my 2/3 restaurant of the mostly empty building, and only myself at the table, and even though I was seated right away, my meal took a good hour before the payment was finally processed and I could leave. I ordered no appetizers or desserts or second drinks. I will credit them for removing the kimchi pancake from my bill. But I do think the price is overinflated for an undersized entree without garnish, and without side dishes (excepting a small cup of sticky rice, and the korean table condiments). read more

Online ordering didn't alert the staff when our order came in - they only saw it a few minutes before we arrived for our pick up. When we arrived no excuses were made, just "I'm so sorry your order isn't ready". I was offered complimentary tea while we waited and they threw in some potstickers and cookies to the order. My standard for five stars is not that everything is perfect, but how mistakes are handled. This crew was very professional and knew how to make it right. Oh, and the food was great too. read more
