Kabayan is one of the more affordable kabayan restaurants in NYC. We were able to reserve the whole restaurant for our party of 16 for kabayan. During these COVID times, we were divided into three parties with big pieces of plastic coverings separating us. The restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our reservation. They were very attentive and the service was one of the best. The beef soup is definitely my favorite. There was so much flavor, filled with tender beef, veggies and bone marrow. For those of you who've never had kamayan before, this is family-style and communal, aka be prepared to eat with your hands! I've had kamayan in the past, but nothing beats sharing with a large group of friends and family at Kabayan. From chowing through the tilapia, lumpia, various pork, bone marrow soup, mussels, and shrimp, my friends and I had a blast sharing conversation while enjoying the food. First of all, thank you for being open in the midst of COVID. I was craving Filipino food and I also did not have some ingredients that I needed to make certain Filipino dishes. Make sure that you have a mask when picking up your food! I like that they were also selling some canned foods like sardines and corned beef. I used Yelp to order Sinigang na Baboy, Pancit Sotanghon, and Pork sisig. The Sinigang na baboy was on point! I like that it has pork fat and the broth is the right kind of sour that I like. Kamayan! Kamayan! Kamayan! C'mon chant it out loud with me! From what I read Kamayan simply means eating "with hands", an old school, customary way of eating in the Philippines. More recently it seems to have come to mean a way of celebrating, by bringing people together with a festive feast, or when it involves my fellow Yelp (and Yelp adjacent) food loving friends, a typical Wednesday night! To do Kamayan at Kabayan you need to reserve with a group of 4 or more. Although it may look like it is buffet style it is NOT. The food is made to order and portioned to the number of attendees. So if your group has people that flake last minute be warned they will still charge you the full freight for each person you told them would attend. Rightfully so! No worries either because they give you take out containers to take home leftovers ("boan") - meals for days! lol If you are not accustomed to the Filipino style of eating with your hands a little google search can give you some pointers - wash hands, eat with one hand, use the sticky rice to scoop food, use thumb to scoot the food in your mouth without slobbering over your fingers, etc. Don't try to eat the soup by using cupped hands like you are sipping water from a stream! (They give bowls for it). For the money you get a ton of delicious food (~$33+T&T a person). Head on shrimp, plump mussels, dried fish with mango, various mounds of meats and vegetables, lumpia, huge beef bone broth soup (bones included with all that delicious marrow!) and traditional dipping sauces. Several Filipino restaurants are offering Kamayan dinners, which are full-blown, family-style dinners served over bamboo leaves with no plates or eating utensils. You eat with your hands, and that's it! Kabayan joins the mix with their own Kamayan dinner, attracting large groups of young adults intrigued by the trend. I went to Kabayan for a Kamayan dinner after already having a few of these at Jeepney in East Village. For the most part, my view of my experience at Kabayan relies heavily on my benchmarked experience at Jeepney, full disclosure! Let's start with the atmoshphere of the restaurant. The real estate was decently spacious for at least two large Kamayan parties, with several tables left for other customers. The vibe of Kabayan leans more toward a typical Filipino restaurant in Queens, which is what it exactly is. I prefer this space over Jeepney, which is very cramped and overly trendy with its decor and whatnot. Now for the food. I enjoyed essentially everything I ate on the table, which included bicol express, lechon, ukoy, fried chicken, mango salad, and white rice just to name a few. The ukoy had sweet potatoes in it, which I found kinda funny. I felt like I was just eating sweet potato fries. The food unfortunately ran a bit cool since we were a large party and it took us a while to get ourselves situated for the dinner. Not sure how they could really prevent that, but that affected my overall take on the food. Another thing that threw me off was that they did nothing about cutting and serving the lechon, which was only in the middle of the table of over 14 people. We had to figure out how to carve and pass the lechon around. In comparison to Jeepney, the overall vibe of my time at Kabayan was more favorable as it reminded me of a more traditional Filipino restaurant experience. I'd been wanting to try the Kamayan Feast (family style) for awhile since seeing a few friends post about it so finally my fiance and our 2 friends were free on a Saturday for it. Make sure you call to make reservations if you want to do the Kamayan Feast (minimum 4 guests - if only 1-3 guests show up, you still pay for 4). I actually was lucky enough to get a reservation for 5PM on a Saturday when I called around 4PM. Not sure if you have to tell them that it's for Kamayan but I did because I read a review saying to let them know so that they can have the food ready when you show up. My fiance and I showed up around 5:15PM (found parking right up front - metered) and they had already started setting up the food and finished setting up within 5-10 minutes. They were also setting up another Kamayan Feast for what looked like 15 people at the table next to us. When my fiance and I arrived, it was just us and people trickling in for the 15 people party but by the time our 2 friends showed up 30 minutes later, the place was PACKED. There are bathrooms in the back so you can wash your hands before eating since there are no utensils for Kamayan Feast (use the rice to scoop the food). I did use my soup spoon for the rice though (shhh!) and soup of course. I'm sure if you wanted utensils to eat with, they would give it to you but the traditional way of eating it is with your hands. Kamayan Feast cost about $35 per person not including tax. You get a LOT of food (rice, lots of meats and a huge bone broth soup) and can pack whatever you want for leftovers. I packed a box for myself and my friend packed leftovers for her dogs/chickens at home. The only thing is I wish you could pick what food you wanted because I personally don't like food with a lot of fat on it so I didn't touch those and I wanted more lumpia (so addicting!!!). The beef was a little dry, head on shrimp and mussels were average but everything else was delicious and flavorful. They also give you 4 dipping sauces on the side. My friend got a Halo Halo for dessert (not included with Kamayan) and I tried some of it since I was too full to get a whole Halo Halo to myself. We both agreed it was delicious. Staff here was very nice and attentive. I would definitely come back and recommend the Kamayan Feast! This is definitely the best HANDS-ON way to experience Filipino culture! Haha. A Kamayan feast costs about $35 a person which is hellla pricey for what you get. It's a fancy spread of a bunch of colorful Filipino entrees and appetizers on banana leaves. At first, I thought this was amazing, but I realize the food isn't anything special, and there isn't actually that much food. There are no refills. Prepare to eat A LOT of meat (huge amount of pork and only some seafood). My favorite would have to be the Lumpia, although you don't get a lot of pieces. The Bulalo soup also was good, if it wasn't for these circular black things in it that made the soup spicy and hard to drink. Overall, with tax and tip, the meal comes to be 40+ for just eating a whole lot of meat. Let's just also say the meal wasn't the nicest to my stomach either! They told me that they don't do delivery.com I told them that they confirmed it so ended up calling delivery.com and told them what happened and they did a refund. Kabayan served us a gut-busting, bring-your-sweatpants, eat-with-your-hands-feast on a Friday night. Typically, this feast is for birthdays and special occasions but for we indulged. Me and my friends just wanted to try this Kamayan night. The first time I've ever had Kamayan night was with a group of friends for a birthday at Jeepney. Jeepney was good but had less food and was pretty expensive per person (starting $45 and going up to 90 with drinks). Kabayan gave us food for days and the price was much better ($33 pp before tip and tax). The entire kitchen and all the waiters were setting up for the Kamayan night when we walked in. 80% of our party of 10 arrived on time, despite the drizzling cold rain. The banana leaves were bright green and covered the table and the food was dizzyingly appetizing! So aromatic, it really stimulated our appetites. The waitress warned us that no one ever finishes all the food. We scoffed at her challenge. So we sat with friends and new friends and feasted. You take a bit of rice and make a triangle out of the rice and pick up the food with that rice to eat. Some foods were paired with different sauces (liver sauce, sweet and sour, etc.) I had various sauces all over my hands. It looked like a kaleidoscope of colors and flavors. FOOD: Appetizers: Lumpiang (fried Filipino Shanghainese egg rolls), Shanghai Chicharon Bulaklak (pork intestine deep fried to form a flower shape), Lechon Kawali (crispy deep fried pork belly dish). Soup: Bulalo/Nilagang (beef vinegary stew with bone marrow and cabbage) Entrees: Baby Daing na Bangus (fried milkfish), Mango Salad (mango, tomatoes, onion, shrimp paste), Nilagang Talong (eggplant, bitter melon and okra salad). Tocino (super-sweet red fatty bacon), Pinakbet (vegetables with shrimp and chili peppers), and sautéed shrimp and mussels. My Favorites: The vinegary tamarind beef stew was perfect to help my appetite. It was slightly sour, so beefy and delicious. It was great with all the fried foods. And the Lechon Kawali was amazing! Deep fried super crispy half fatty pork belly! This was great! I would definitely come back and order these two dishes again! So our waitress was completely right. We didn't even come close to finishing this feast. The food volume looks small but you get so fat saturated, it's really hard to finish. It was definitely a fun experience! First time here and wow! Did my group and I go big! Celebrated a birthday with six for the all you can eat pork and seafood extravaganza. The set up itself was cool to watch, but the eating was even better. So many different types of delicious pork, some chicken, fresh seafood, stewed veggies and rice. Extremely delicious, all of it. Our server was so nice and kept picking fun at us for not being able to finish everything. Definitely worth the price and definitely a meal for sharing. I've made it a casual weekend mission to visit all the Filipino restaurants in the Woodside/Sunnyside area and, not to spoil this entire review, Kabayan on Queens Blvd is the best one yet. I've given this place, and many others, a fair shot--visiting at least three or four times over the past year or two, to really take every aspect of the restaurant into account. My first venture into Kabayan was a Boodle fight meal with my boyfriend and one of our other friends. We were surprised that the spread was ready right as we walked in; just a testament to the good service here. I had initially only visited its neighbor Tito Rad's because for some reason, it always looked way more pack. I don't think that's the case anymore nowadays, though. We were greeted and seated immediately. Kabayan sticks out to me particularly because, unlike virtually all the Filipino restaurants in the area, the service here is actually great. The water is poured as you're seated (I'm looking at you, Renee's in Woodside), the servers are super attentive, and it doesn't take a million years to get the check. Filipinos by default are very hospitable and very polite but the water pouring and occasional hovering throughout is an American thing and we'd all love for it to apply here, too. It's good for business. Now for the food! I'd be biased as to say that every single Filipino restaurant in this area is fantastic but I really do mean it. Cooking these dishes has almost been embedded into each family that, although we do have regional variations, you can never really go wrong. Here at Kabayan, though.. wow. Everything is just so perfectly seasoned. The beef Nilaga is fantastic, among many others. I would've loved if they served breakfast (silog's) all day but there is an easy workaround where you can just order Sinangag, the meats, and eggs separately. It'll just run you a few extra bucks. Their sizzling sisig and Bangus (milkfish) is soooo good. I've brought so many friends of different cultures here and these seem to be a favorite. One of my personal favorites is the Pancit Canton.. shrimp allergy and all, hah. If you're ever in the area or if you're on a quest for really good Filipino food, this place is well worth a visit! read more

My friends and I had been wanting to try Filipino food and had seen that there was something know as a Boodle fight (eating with your hands). Since this is something I do regularly in my part of India (kerala), I was definitely interested in trying it out! We came during one of the holiday weekdays and didn't realize that we had to make a reservation. The staff were wonderful and checked with the cooking staff who agreed to prepare it for us. It took about 30 minutes for them to prepare and set out all the food. Just watching them setting up the feast was amazing and the staff did such a wonderful job of portioning everything out. The Kamayan Feast is $35 per person which sounds pricey but honestly the experience, quality and quantity of food was all you needed. They spread out soooo much meat on layers of banana leaves. The meat was mainly pork but all of it was well made and delicious. There were also a couple options of seafood which were also very good. The Bulalo soup which they give you a huge bowl of was extremely delicious as well. The soup had so much flavor and was just what you needed to cleanse your palate between trying the different meats. The servers the entire time were very attentive and always helpful in telling us about all the different dishes and keeping our drinks refilled. I definitely enjoyed our trip here and we actually came back a second time within the same month to celebrate my friends birthday with his whole family - both times the service, quality and quantity of food were wonderful. This place is right next to Tito's Rad Grill. If you want to feel less fancy and go to a place to eat with your hands, you can come to Kabayan instead. They literally have white paper on the table so you can make a mess. Besides the food itself, that is probably the best thing about eating. At the counter, there are a lot of snacks and prepacked food for take out or to buy if you're in a rush. I didn't really get to look at it but I did see Yan Yans and any place that has Yan Yans are automatically great in my book. I came here for the first time on a Sunday night. It was relatively busy and there were a few waiters walking around to help people. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The food itself was very delicious. We got the Lumpiang Shanghai. Came with the standard sauce. They weren't too hot, so I didn't burn myself as usual (as they usually are with most lumpia, since they come out of the fryer and all). They were crispy and filled with the fixins. We also got the B12 Goto which is hot porridge, triple, ginger, scallion and crispy garlic. It was well seasoned and great for a cold day. I personally think it was too salty but that's just my preference. My boyfriend thought that it was a perfect balance of garlic and ginger. We ordered the sizzling pork chop. Didn't really see the point of having it on the sizzling plate since it was mostly cooked before putting it on the plate. If you ever had Vietnamese pork chops before, they're kind of similar to this. They have a sweet sauce but these had a kick at the end. I have no idea what it was, but it was a nice touch. Also the mushroom sauce was creamy and heavenly. I ate this with the garlic rice (because why go normal white rice when there's garlic around?) Last but not least, we got the halo halo. The boneless bangus is something that my kids always order and according to them, it's pretty good especially when it's freshly fried. The sago gulaman was ok but was missing something, maybe some vanilla or banana extract to really bring out the flavor, it tasted more like a combination of waTer, sugaR and sago. When we first walked into Kabayan we knew right then and there this was going to be something special. The sound of people speaking Tagalog and the sweet sound and smell of the sizzling platters passed us by as we were waiting to be seated. We arrived here 15 minutes after 8pm, figuring the crowds should be light for a Sunday evening, Wrong! It was packed! Fortunately for us we only waited about 10 minutes to secure a nice table. For starters I ordered the Sago't Gulaman drink, a refreshing mixture of soft tapioca pearls, crushed ice and brown sugar. The menu was pretty impressive and we used the Pictures and reviews from fellow Yelpers to help us get an idea of what we should order. We noticed how large the size of the orders that were coming out of the kitchen, but I was not going to let that deter me from ordering too light. I came to eat! We ordered the following: Crispy Pata - You can't leave a Filipino restaurant without eating this! Large chunk of crispy, crunchy and delicious pork. The vinegar based dipping sauce was perfect. Daing Na Bangus - I never had milkfish before but from this day forward it will be on my food list. The fish was served on a sizzling hot plate, they took the meat from the fish and chopped it up finely and mixed in garlic, peppercorns and other seasonings. I squeezed fresh lemon over the fish and mixed it in well. The fish was sweet and delicious. Siningang Na Tadyang - a delicious soup with 2 humongous size beef shanks, potatoes and mixed greens infused with peppercorns and tamarind. The soup was hearty and smooth, the beef ribs were fall off the bone tender. A definite must order! Now the service could have used some improvement since they were slow to take our order, and didn't clear some of the scraps from our table when we were finished. Overall everyone working here was polite and friendly. Came here on a Wednesday afternoon with a group of 5 and it wasn't too busy. For 5 people, we ordered 7 dishes and 2 halo halos and it was the perfect amount! Dishes are on the smaller side for family style, but they were all priced under $15, so it was the perfect excuse to try more dishes. I'll admit, I've never met a Filipino joint I didn't like. My nyc experience (queens mostly) has only been great or fantastic. Filipino spots were so hard to come by in the DC metro area despite the healthy amount of Filipinos living there that it always used to be such a treat to happen upon one. Now, I am regularly frequenting little Philippines just a hop and a skip away. The only battle is the one with my waistline. Situated side by side to Tito Rad's (also delish), Kabayan has a decidedly more no frills, straight to the food approach that can be observed by brown paper bag paper they line their tables with. Some had banana leaves, obviously in preparation for a namesake event to occur. The friendly staff worked as a team and took turns servicing the patrons. We took their advice and ordered their signature kare kare, chopped sizzling milkfish, and BBQ pork skewers. If it were up to me, I'd get the crispy pata (pork hock) and dinuguan (pork blood). The Kare kare was the best I've had. A silky, sweet broth of peanut butter stew the color of turmeric coating giant rings of oxtail, chunks of tripe, eggplant m, asparagus and baby bok choy served over rice with a ramekin of salty shrimp paste to taste. Holy moly- I've never been one for peanut butter stew but for Kabayan's kare kare- I will be a pb stew girl all day. That milkfish? Oh My WoW. Course bits of onions, ginger, peppers, spiced herbs, panfried milkfish, deboned and shredded onto a sizzling hot plate with a big squeeze of lemon... my mouth waters rethinking the smell and flavors. Bbq Pork on a stick was honey roasted with bbq sauced just like chinese "char siew" only in thicker hunks of meat. I'd prefer more fat and honey where the pork was sometimes a wee dry and lean but truly, one can't complain about sweet bbq meat. Been to a couple of Filipino restaurant and planned to try this place. Walked in for a late lunch at 2pm. Plenty of seats. There were two guys at our serve. One of the guys who assisted us gave us menu as we sat down. He walked away as I tried to ask him questions and answered the questions as he walked away like he's running to stop a fire in the kitchen. Ambiance is very simple with some wall decor. Nothing really caught my eye. This place is veru easily forgotten. Here's our food: Chicken Bbq- very good. Flavorful and juicy tender meat. Lumpia Shanghai- very good. Crispy and flavorful. Chicken Adobe- very flavorful. Its not sour at all. Chicken is dark meat so its tender. But portion was so small. Only 5 pieces of chicken and sauce. Laing- taro leaves- good. I asked for not too spicy so it was how we like it. Chicken Inasal- very good grilled chicken but nothing special. It was juicy and tender. Garlic rice- was very good. Not too greasy. Can't believe we had to pay for white rice. (We all know how white rice taste like). LMAO. Mango and Filipino lemonade- both very good and refreshing. Disappointed that they don't have melon juice anymore. Halo Halo- it was ok. We did had better. Nothing special about this one. But got to try it. Overall we enjoy our lunch. Service definitely needs improvement. I probably will not return as we tried other places with better food and services for the price we paying for. And we had to order our rice separately. This restaurant is located off of 50th Street 7 Train Station. I had the shrimp sinigang and thought that it was quite ok, but it was too spicy for me (I had no idea there was a chili in it). The garlic fried rice was also good. Customer service was not as warm and welcoming as I had expected, and maybe because it's NYC. My dining experience was mediocre. We were passing by in the area on July 4th and noticed that it was open for business and decided to go for a quick bite. We were welcomed by mostly young staff... newbies. They were trying to be as accomodating as possible. I heard that this newly opened restaurant is a family business, from the cashier to the manager, to the waiter and the owner, they are mostly related to each other. The agenda of instilling to their minds the authenticity of the cuisine and the homey and heart warming Filipino style service is such a novelty act. Their children who definitely were born and raised in NY tried their very best to understand the languange when customers are placing their order. It was a beholding sight... but they need to be more aggresive and pro-active though for all types of clientele as the restaurant is located in a very competitive restaurant business neighborhood. We placed a small order for our party as we came during mirienda (snack) time. 1. Arroz caldo ( chicken porridge)- tasty, big portion of chicken is visible, who could beat that? 2. Tokwa't baboy (tofu & fried pork)- a thumbs up, I have never tasted such. There was a terrific balance between the soy sauce, vinegar and peppers. The tofu and pork was perfectly cooked, not too crispy and not too soft. It is considered to be a single entree for me already. 3. Lumpia ( spring roll) - crispy, the famous and most favorite appetizer of locals and they definitely have given justice to it. 4. Halo-halo ( mixed local fruits and ice shaving)- afffordable price for the serving size and quality. I most specially like it's creaminess. I have observed that it's a best seller because I have noticed that almost all the costumers in their respective tables has halo-halo. Food is great and the cooking style never disappointed us. We were dispapointed though that when we wanted to order something that's in their list, e.g. tocilog ,mango juice to name a few, we were told that they ran out of it, probably a lot of people ordered it at an earlier time which could mean that it might be that good or because it was a holiday and inventory for the day was not sufficient for unexpected guests. It should never be happening on a regular day. "KABAYAN" is a very local word. It would be favorable to put up some decors that go with it. Ambiance and setting are good factors for an enjoyable and pleasurable dining experience. The best experience we had on that day was when the owner socialized with us. Very friendly, cheerful and always wearing a smile in her face. You will love her. Overall experience: GOOD. Will come back and will try what else they have on their list. Maybe next time, my other STAR will be up and will complete the full marking. To you guys who are reading this review, if you are looking for an authentic, home cooked Philippine cuisine, this place is for you. It's a must visit spot in Woodside area. Even though it is a brand new establishment( two weeks old during my visit), it is an uprising star in the neighborhood. Ordered take out from here. I guess they don't have much demand for cassava cake because it came complete with mold. After trying to tell us it was just coconut ( they didn't know we're Filipino and Thai ) for longer than we needed to hear, they eventually refunded us for it and another item that was missing from the order. Not the first time our order from this place was missing something but it's odd that they always bill correctly! I usually let it slide but trying to tell someone that hairy fuzzy mold is coconut is pretty messed up. read more

IMO they seriously have the best Kare Kare in all of NYC. They have nailed this dish in flavor, texture and tenderness of the oxtail. Their nilagang baka soup is also so flavorful and the beef short ribs are so tender. The grilled pompano with vinegar dip tingles the tastebuds. Their sizzling sisig and pinakbet is pretty good too. The music coming from the kitchen is enthusiastic which means the happy cooks are putting together your meal with love. As much as I've always been a fan of another famous flip place next door, Kabayan Grill does do some dishes just as well if not better. I think their dishes are consistently good. My only disappoint is that the takeout portions for some of the entrees are on the smaller side as compared to when you order in. Have eaten here over 25 times and done takeout at least 6 times so can say with certainty that the takeout portions feel smaller. But in these Covid times I'll still do takeout from them because I love their kare kare more than anywhere else. read more

On a Saturday night that we went, there was a $5 cover charge per person since there was live music, but it added to the vibes! Call ahead for the Kamayan feast and reserve your seats! It was such an amazing experience and their hospitality was top notch. Each and every one of the servers was so friendly and everyone helps you if you need. We arrived on time and they had the banana leaf table setting ready for us. Once you are seated, they start setting up the feast fairly quickly. I was delighted to see dish after dish come up and laid out right before my eyes. They give you gloves so you can eat with your hands and mine never touched a utensil except to drink the soup. The food was so delicious with a really great sampling of every signature dish they have. The lumpia was amazzzzingggg. The soup with the bone marrow was buttery and so rich, it is hard to find a taste like this. The feast had every type of meat and it had vegetables, rice, and a mango salad that was all sooo tasty. I've had Filipino food before and this did not disappoint! The live music singer is very engaging with the crowds and it was a very friendly atmosphere. At the end, they gave me a complementary birthday flan and they had the whole restaurant singing happy birthday to me. What an experience for a birthday or any special occasion. This was a treat doing the Kamayan Experience about $32 Per person. So much food to try and plenty to take home. I took alot home, since we were so full. The bone broth soup was one of my favorite things there and to bring home. From Lumpia, bone brooth soup, Pork belly, Mussels, Shrimp, rice. Must need reservation in advance for large parties, and if your party flakes or can't attend you have to cover the difference for the missing party. They Need to prepare food for xx amount of people. It was a great experience, a lot of food to eat and try. You don't have to eat with your hands but that is the traditional way of doing it. some of us did ask for utensils. I couldn't stop munching on the Lumpia, with the sweet chili sauce. Chicaron or deep fried prok intestines was a new item I was introduced to. I never ate it but with the sauce I just kept munching on and on. The Lechro is deep fried pork bell you might see this with other cultures and super addictive. Bulalo the shank soup with bone was so savory, as a start or as a ending item to eat. Im sure most of us kept picking at it. I took it home and made more soup next day ! Kamayan at Kabayan is the best I've had so far! My party of 9 (formerly 11) arrived promptly at 7:00, and most of the spread was already laid out on our table. It wasn't my first time doing kamayan, but I was still intimidated! Thankfully, everything was delicious, from the beef cabbage soup and lumpia to the seafood, meat, and veggies. I wish I knew the names of the various dishes I was eating, but my favorite was the okra, followed by the pork belly and then the mussels. For big parties and especially for kamayan, RSVP in advance and keep them updated on the number of people coming. Because we had last minute bails, our party of 9 had to pay for 11. Sweet baby Jesus was this a feast!!! I would say this was a 4.5 for me. This was my second ever Kamayan night and I was really impressed. I thought the overall flavors were excellent and it was half the price of my previous Kamayan night experience with better flavor. The first time I had Kamayan night was at Jeepney in the city and I thought it was crazy expensive, the Kamayan night here was $32 a person which I thought was very reasonable especially since there was so much food leftover that you will be eating for days. The Kamayan night is setup at the table when you get there and they pick all the menu items for you. I think the Kamayan night is highly recommended and you can make a reservation right on their website, the min is 4 ppl and the max is well, as many that can fit in the restaurant lol Also, there is a 18% tip added to parties of 5 or more. A few reviews have mentioned service being an issue, but honestly, I thought the service was great. The waitresses were really friendly and always around when my party of 10 needed anything. The food: A-1 Lumpiang Shanghai- Mini pork egg rolls with sweet chili sauce dip. I thought these were crazy addictive. There were tender pieces of beef, a very beefy broth, and bone marrow for days, for days!!! L-3 Fresh Mango Salad- Filipino style mango salad, tomato, onion, shrimp paste. This was a great palate cleanser and the waitress said this should be eaten with the baby daing na bangus. D -1 Baby Daing na Bangus- Fried marinated milkfish, garlic, vinegar, black pepper. The fish was nice and tender and I enjoyed the flavor but the fish is more dry that I was hoping. F-3 Beef Tapa- Marinated cured beef, vinegar garlic dipping sauce. I thought this was just OK, it was kinda lackluster in flavor and texture. G-8 Bicol Express Pork- Pork, Coconut milk, shrimp paste, long chili pepper, garlic. I am usually wary of Asian restaurants and curry since it can be too sweet but the one here was really good. It was well flavored and the curry was not too sweet. I thought this was great. E-1 Chicken Bareque- Filipino Style Chicken BBQ, with vinegar dip. The chicken was so insanely flavorful and tender. Chicken is usually just an afterthought for me but the chicken here was so on point. J-1 Pinakbet- Sautéed Mix Asian with pork and shrimp paste. I thought this was great, I really liked the Ocra, the pumpkin and the string beans. They were all cooked well, they were cooked through but not to the point of being mushy.
