This is another new restaurant. Decent decor, extremely friendly and experienced staff. Menu is more north indian and very good taste. I had weekend buffet. Too many items and all of them were pretty good. Buffet is pretty pricy ($16 pp). Dinner manu also having higher price tag. They have sweet shop as well. Doordash today night from this place. Disappointment might be an understatement . Never seen such an unmarinated unflavored red colored some chicken peices. Shameful to call it Punjabi tandoori chicken tikka. :) and forsure this is overpriced for what we ate. I dont no if they even have a decent cook forget a chef after seeing poor quality and flavor. Mediocre nans . They dont sent chutney etc. again thats customary. Well not ordering from here....Unclear reviews on doordash are actually doing this place a favor. I cannot believe how outstanding the food was here. We had the best butter chicken I've ever had. The spices were amazing and the chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. The rice was moist ( not the typical dry basmati rice) with an amazing spice that added to the flavor. We had onion paratha bread that was so fresh with green onions and cilantro, the BEST I've ever had, and to finish, a beautiful salad with cucumbers and onion that tasted like they just came from the garden. I cannot say enough about the quality and flavor of the food. The server, Kanchan was so delightful and sweet. She was super attentive, and welcoming. In the past we would drive to Berkeley or Fremont for good Indian food, but this is the best we've ever eaten. Delicious food every time. Their food is by far the best Indian food we have had in the whole Bay Area. We order their vegetable biryani and saag paneer regularly and feel delighted every time. The hosts are also very polite and listen to their customers. Once their buffet is back after COVID, I will definitely go back and try their various dishes during lunch. We stopped by at Kabila on our way back from Yosemite as we were craving good Indian food- this was recommended by a friend. We had masala soda, paneer tikka, goat curry, shahi paneer, laccha parantha, Aloo parantha and Ras Malai- I know that's a lot of food for 2 people!!! All the food was amazing- had such authentic flavors. The service was great too- the girls serving us were so prompt, polite and quick! We came here for the Mother's Day special which was a weekend lunch buffet on 5/12. We had a party of 7 people and though the restaurant was crowded, they were able to accommodate us. We enjoyed it! It was pretty hectic because they were so busy - they were running out of silverware, plates, chai, mango lassi. They were pretty good about replenishing quickly! The food was great (a tiny bit spicy but our family does not have a high spice tolerance so it depends on the person). They had a good assortment of snacks/appetizers/food which included all the typical expected items like pakora, biryani, butter chicken, mithai, etc. Overall, they had lots of choices and I walked away stuffed as I tried everything! They also had chai and mango lassi which were a little runny and watery so that was disappointing. Delicious! Ok, we have had pretty amazing Indian food in this area but this is our new found love! I belong to a FB group where moms would make suggestions on their fav restaurants but after searching specifically for Indian delicacies, I'm so happy I found Kabila. It's tucked away in corner where Uncle Yu's use to be. This is literally a hidden gem. It's authentic and super tasty. If you like your curry to have a kick, try the shrimp. It's not over cooked and they give generous portions (8 pcs). I would def go back and can't wait to eat there in person. Finally had a night off from work and was craving some Indian food so I decided to take my girlfriend out for a nice dinner. This is hands down the perfect choice for a nice evening out with you're date or family. Elegant and clean design with some very tasty dishes. We ordered via doordash yesterday and while no complaints for DoorDash service but the food that came was really low quality. We specified one dish be made medium spicy and apparently spice means salt in this restaurant- the dish was so salty that it wasn't consumable at all. We also ordered Butter Chicken to be made mild and it was made very spicy. Why ask for comments and options when it is just going to get overlooked . There was clearly oil floating over all the food. We have ordered from them in the past and the food quality had been okay and good but this incident was second in a row when the food was really low quality. With the prices they have , if their quality doesn't improves or goes up- I don't see them staying open for long. My husband and I moved to the Dublin/San Ramon area last year and I was so excited to find a Kabila in San Ramon. We had previously lived in Hayward and frequented their other Kabila location on the border of Hayward/Union City many times over the years we lived close by. Anyway on this particular day I really wanted Indian food and decided to try this new Kabila. I looked on their website and called to place a take out order for chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, two orders of plain pulao rice and vegetable samosa. First bad sign was he said no samosa available for lunch time! Ok, maybe it was just an off day. Second bad sign was when I went to pick it up the price was about $15 more than what the prices online indicated they should be. I asked the guy what was up with that and he said "oh those are the Hayward prices" and hands me a piece of paper with the San Ramon prices that are clearly jacked up 1.5x the other location. For example, chicken tikka here is about $18 where as in Hayward it's $12. So I basically paid over $50 not including tax for two entrees and some plain rice. No naan included. Food was ok but not amazing and not worth the significant amount extra I paid. And the portion size was not enough for my husband and I to have a second helping of tikka masala. I don't mind paying more for good food but dang, the food needs to be GOOD and this just wasn't. You should never feel cheated at the end of your meal :( So sad cause I was really craving Indian food but this experience left such a bad impression that unfortunately I will not ever go back. read more
