It was our first time trying this place, and since it's a fairly new restaurant, we wanted to give it a shot. The interior is clean, modern, and quiet, which made for a nice dining experience. My wife and I ordered the katsu curry and the chicken cordon bleu. The food was okay. Not bad, but not especially memorable either. It felt like something was missing from the flavor. It was still enjoyable, just not something that stood out. The prices were a little on the high side for what we received. The service was quick, and our server was polite. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I don't think it's a place I'd come back to.

Hey Beautiful People! So you know how chicken katsu tends to be chewy or dry? Well, not here! Their chicken katsu is tender, juicy, and a generous size. I know, I know, you can't just go to a restaurant for one menu item, especially with friends, so here goes... Top 3 Things to Enjoy at Kadon: 3.) Refillable Salad! -1 free refill per person -Fresh, thinly sliced iceberg lettuce with sesame dressing -So good! 2.) Kadon B (Special Katsu Combo Set) -Full size serving of tender panko breaded chicken -2 pieces of the cheese au katsu--OMG!!! -Salad, rice, mac salad & katsu sauce -Tender, juicy...yum, yum, yum!!! And the #1 thing you should absolutely enjoy at Kadon is... -Cheddar Cheese Katsu w/ cheese sauce on the side + a bowl of curry ($3 extra -- worth it!) -Pour the bowl of curry over the katsu -Pour the cheese sauce over the katsu -Get ready for the most delicious cheesey curry tonkatsu you've ever had in your entire life! Please note that everything is made to order, so it might take a while for them to catch your chicken, pluck the feathers, chop and debone it, remove the skin to batter/season it, and then fry it fresh You're welcome!

Always planned to visit this spot ever since we saw the signage up in the shopping center and we're so glad we finally went! What stood out on the menu was the katsu cordon bleu, which I think of as the "combo pizza" version of the various katsu options you can choose from here. It's not your usual mozzarella stuffed katsu, although I'm sure that's also bomb here, but with cheese, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms tucked into the pork cutlet, I just couldn't resist. The katsu was perfectly deep fried, with a crunch you can definitely hear, along with the warm, oozy cheese center. The goma dressing on the cabbage salad was addictingly delicious. Even the miso soup, call me crazy but it was one of the most flavorful miso soups I've had in a long time. It was SO GOOD. Shout out to our server Steven who was so friendly and great to us. Can't wait to come back and try the other types of katsu and katsu curry dishes!

Went on a Friday around 6:30 pm, only two other parties. The dinner crowds don't really come until 7 pm, but I'm glad this place is off to a decent start. The food came out pretty fast. The curry udon was flavorful, couldn't imagine it being messed up. The cheese katsu is really good but I think it's more so a shareable. After two it gets hefty, but it combined well with the curry udon. The katsu was a bit dry, their katsu sauce is heavy and really potent. Portions are good in size, still kept me full without feeling gross. The service was great. The workers made sure to check in and engage with every table. Appreciated that the most!

Excited to hear that this is a new Katsu restaurant and they have cordon blue! I haven't had that in a minute, so I was very excited. However, I think the flavor is not quite there for cordon bleu but the katsu itself is juicy and nice. There's plenty of parking in the plaza when I came in and there's only two seats filled. I think they're doing 15% off promotion until end of May. Staff is nice and friendly. They fill up my water without me asking. There are quite few available tables and they were distanced properly. I like how the place is very homey.

Found a new katsu place in the area & I had to try it! There was a large section of katsu sets and sides too (: I ended up ordering the katsu set and my fiancée ordered the katsu combo set with cheese au katsu. We loved both of our meals! The katsu was lightly battered & cooked to perfection. The katsu sets came with miso soup, shredded cabbage salad, rice and pickled daikon. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. There was empty when we arrived so we were seated quickly. Parking is easy too! The restaurant is located in a large parking lot. I'll definitely be coming back again & bringing friends with me! Yay

Tried a few a few katsu places so was excited to see another place open up! The restaurant has a good amount of seating indoors as well as outdoor seating (shared by others in the same plaza). My party got the chicken katsu, fish katsu as well as pork katus curry. The set comes with rice, salad and miso soup. The chicken katsu was made with dark meat, surprising as most katsu places use white meat. The sauce was a barbecue sauce, not your traditional peanut flavored dipping. Good ratio of breading to meat! The fish katsu I wouldn't recommend. It was oily, there was more breading than there was fish and the fish itself was tough. The pork katsu curry was also a good pick, nice flavor of curry that compliments the katsu well. The miso soup it comes with had a food flavor, not too salty! The service was great and quiet ambiance as it's a rather new spot so the flow was not as busy. For the value and the taste, I'd say it's worth the try!

I believe this restaurant replaced Charo Chicken, so I was eager to try out a new katsu restaurant. It's located in a plaza where Starbucks and CVS is, so there's plenty of parking spots. I was seated immediately, even though the restaurant was busy. There's plenty of tables inside. There's also a bathroom. The inside of the restaurant is a bit dark and dim. I decided to opt for the fish fillet katsu, since that's my usual katsu order. It seemed like there was 1 employee mainly working, but she did things in a timely manner. The portions of the food were big!! However, I thought the taste of the fish katsu was a bit too fishy for me. I should have asked what fish they used, since it was a struggle for me to finish. Regards that, everything tasted delicious. Next time, I'll check out the chicken katsu.

Details.. .. Came in around opening on a rainy Thursday for lunch w. the hubs. .. I ordered the pork katsu curry don & hubs ordered the tonkatsu signature set. prOs.. .. Restaurant was clean & inviting. .. Staff were friendly & efficient. .. Menu had options but wasn't overwhelming & focus on a specialty. .. The food itself was delicious & flavorful. .. There was this gentle mallet pounding from the kitchen during most of our dining experience & it was oddly comforting to know the cutlets were being flattened fresh! no cOns.. yay!

Came here on a Thursday night around 8:00 PM. The restaurant was small and clean with a brightly lit interior. There was pop/club music playing, which didn't really fit the cozy vibe of the restaurant. We were instantly greeted and seated by a young waiter named Steven. Steven recommended the classic TonKatsu as a "safe" item and the Cordon Bleu Katsu as something unique to the restaurant. My friend and I ordered the Cordon Bleu Katsu and the Chicken Katsu Yaki Udon. Steven was so kind as to ask us many questions about dietary and preparation preferences before coming out with the food. Comfortable vibes, attentive service, and good food. My only wishes were that the katsu was crisipier, and that there were more items on the menu (e.g., tempura, shrimp, oysters, etc. and dessert)!

They have seating for about 20 people at a time. Feels more intimate because there is a good amount of space between each table. Not super high end dining but had a very cozy yet upscale feel based on the interior design. Staff are prompt, very attentive if you need anything, and checked in to see how everything was without being pushy. Gave some great recommendations for what to try next time (one of the staff favorites is the cordon bleu - definitely will try). I had a small of the Asahi, a karage set (very juicy and tender), and then do the Kadon A combo (pork katsu filet with two pieces of the cheese katsu, rice, miso soup, and a cabbage salad). For all of the main food being fried, it is not oily whatsoever. The katsu is very flaky and crisp and the mozzarella cheese is perfectly melted to hold its shape but close to a fondue texture. All of that for about $35 sounds like a great deal to me . If you skip the beer and appetizer then you could go here for lunch or early dinner and come out for less than $20-$25 depending on what you order + tip. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

The space is small, so I definitely recommend using Resy to make a reservation. After checking in with the host at Arc, you will be guided to the rear of the restaurant to small round room with a mirrored door and a beautiful chandelier overhead. Upon entering, you will walk through another small hallway with green light and wood framed mirrors on the wall. At this point, you have now entered the Guild Club. The centerpiece is an attractive granite topped bar that seats nine people. The back of the bar features a beautiful wood cabinet with intricate carvings. There is a small area across from the bar with two round tables, each with two high back cushy chairs. This area is more intimate, but the tables are small if you plan to eat and drink a lot. The walls, floor, and ceilings are dark with lots of woodwork, giving a warm cozy feel. There are a nice assortment of interesting lighting fixtures, and paintings on the walls. A few small ceiling areas are painted dark green and display gold astrological signs. At the end of the bar, there is a spiral staircase leading to an upstairs space that I believe is for display only, but it adds a touch of mystique. The Guild has its own small menu of exclusive cocktails and bites, but you can also order anything from the Arc menu. We started off with an order of shishito peppers which were probably some of the best we have ever had. The portion size is very generous, and they have some herbs, almond crumble, and squeezed lemon on top. Be warned that the cast iron skillets that a lot of their food is served in are extremely hot. For cocktails, I started with the Number One. It was a good balanced cocktail with noticeable cucumber flavor and some bitterness on the finish from the Pimms. She started with Einhorn Is Finkle. It had a great light sweetness with some grapefruit flavor and light bubbles. For my entrée, I had the crispy duck. This is actually a big ball of duck meat with a fried coating on the outside. The duck was very flavorful and nothing about the duck or fried shell was greasy or oily. The grated cheese paired well and the arugula added a nice freshness. This was a great dish that I would definitely order again. She ordered the chile relleno. Obviously, Arc is not a Mexican restaurant but this was surprisingly probably the best chile relleno we have ever had. It had a great pumpkin seed crust with a very flavorful succotash inside. The chili itself was huge and filled up the whole skillet. We would absolutely order this again. I was talking with our bartender JT about my recent new appreciation for mezcal if it's toned down and that none of the mezcal drinks on either cocktail menu really caught my eye. He suggested a Last Word with mezcal replacing the gin. I enjoyed it, but the mezcal was a little too prominent for my taste. For her second cocktail, she ordered The Girlfriend which has a humorous description of "changes daily". The current girlfriend when we were there was a twist on a blackberry margarita. This was surprisingly the best drink of the night, and was definitely the most complex margarita we have ever had. It had a light blackberry flavor, and I believe some of the other ingredients that JT mentioned were grapefruit, lime, cocoa, and cinnamon bitters. For dessert, we ordered the German chocolate cake. It was a huge slice of moist cake and was served with a large dollop of fresh cream. The cake wasn't overly sweet which was nice. We shared one last drink, the Liquid Courage as it sounded like a nice dessert cocktail. On my first sip, I tasted coffee which was unexpected. I asked about it, and apparently the drink menu does not list the Nola coffee liqueur that is in this drink. I'm not a fan of coffee, but at least this cocktail had more of a mocha flavor than a strong coffee flavor. I probably wouldn't have ordered it if the ingredient list was accurate, but I think coffee or mocha lovers would enjoy it more. Our bartender JT was pretty much running everything by himself with only a little outside help, and he was doing a great job. He was also very friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with him. The prices are a little on the high side, but the drinks were good, and the food was excellent with generous portion sizes. Our reservation was for 6:00pm and I would recommend visiting a little closer to sunset. There are some outside windows on the far wall and even though there are drapes, a little light still comes through. And if the door to the outside patio is opened, a lot of light comes in if the sun is up. The Guild Club is a great little speakeasy that I only recently discovered, and I would definitely recommend checking it out.
