My wife and I ordered the katsu curry and the chicken cordon bleu. The food was okay. Not bad, but not especially memorable either. It felt like something was missing from the flavor. It was still enjoyable, just not something that stood out. The prices were a little on the high side for what we received. The service was quick, and our server was polite. KaDon is located in a strip mall, so there's plenty of parking available. There was no one eating when we arrived, so we were seated right away. I ordered the katsu yaki udon and was unfortunately underwhelmed. While the katsu was cooked well (not overly dry, and crispy on the outside) the noodles were almost too wet/saucy. The second I realized this, I moved all the katsu off of the top to avoid the breading becoming soggy as well. The flavor of the noodles was ok, but honestly, it didn't really complement the katsu flavor. While I did like the katsu, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again.
Always planned to visit this spot ever since we saw the signage up in the shopping center and we're so glad we finally went! What stood out on the menu was the katsu cordon bleu, which I think of as the "combo pizza" version of the various katsu options you can choose from here. It's not your usual mozzarella stuffed katsu, although I'm sure that's also bomb here, but with cheese, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms tucked into the pork cutlet, I just couldn't resist. The katsu was perfectly deep fried, with a crunch you can definitely hear, along with the warm, oozy cheese center. The goma dressing on the cabbage salad was addictingly delicious. Even the miso soup, call me crazy but it was one of the most flavorful miso soups I've had in a long time. It was SO GOOD. Shout out to our server Steven who was so friendly and great to us. Can't wait to come back and try the other types of katsu and katsu curry dishes!
Excited to hear that this is a new Katsu restaurant and they have cordon blue! I haven't had that in a minute, so I was very excited. However, I think the flavor is not quite there for cordon bleu but the katsu itself is juicy and nice. There's plenty of parking in the plaza when I came in and there's only two seats filled. I think they're doing 15% off promotion until end of May. Staff is nice and friendly. They fill up my water without me asking. There are quite few available tables and they were distanced properly. I like how the place is very homey.

The curry udon was flavorful, couldn't imagine it being messed up. The cheese katsu is really good but I think it's more so a shareable. After two it gets hefty, but it combined well with the curry udon. The katsu was a bit dry, their katsu sauce is heavy and really potent. Portions are good in size, still kept me full without feeling gross. The service was great. The workers made sure to check in and engage with every table. Appreciated that the most!

There was a large section of katsu sets and sides too (: I ended up ordering the katsu set and my fiancée ordered the katsu combo set with cheese au katsu. We loved both of our meals! The katsu was lightly battered & cooked to perfection. The katsu sets came with miso soup, shredded cabbage salad, rice and pickled daikon. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. There was empty when we arrived so we were seated quickly. Parking is easy too! The restaurant is located in a large parking lot. I'll definitely be coming back again & bringing friends with me! Yay
Tried a few a few katsu places so was excited to see another place open up! The restaurant has a good amount of seating indoors as well as outdoor seating (shared by others in the same plaza). My party got the chicken katsu, fish katsu as well as pork katus curry. The set comes with rice, salad and miso soup. The chicken katsu was made with dark meat, surprising as most katsu places use white meat. The sauce was a barbecue sauce, not your traditional peanut flavored dipping. Good ratio of breading to meat! The fish katsu I wouldn't recommend. It was oily, there was more breading than there was fish and the fish itself was tough. The pork katsu curry was also a good pick, nice flavor of curry that compliments the katsu well. The miso soup it comes with had a food flavor, not too salty! The service was great and quiet ambiance as it's a rather new spot so the flow was not as busy. For the value and the taste, I'd say it's worth the try!

Service was so professional and attentive, the katsu and udon were cooked to perfection and they had condiments to adjust the flavor to fit different tastes. I believe this restaurant replaced Charo Chicken, so I was eager to try out a new katsu restaurant. It's located in a plaza where Starbucks and CVS is, so there's plenty of parking spots. I was seated immediately, even though the restaurant was busy. There's plenty of tables inside. There's also a bathroom. The inside of the restaurant is a bit dark and dim. I decided to opt for the fish fillet katsu, since that's my usual katsu order. It seemed like there was 1 employee mainly working, but she did things in a timely manner. The portions of the food were big!! However, I thought the taste of the fish katsu was a bit too fishy for me. I should have asked what fish they used, since it was a struggle for me to finish. Regards that, everything tasted delicious. Next time, I'll check out the chicken katsu.

new place AND 15% off until 5/31!! my katsu had the perfect amount of crisp to it. it wasn't overdone with a crazy layer of batter. the flavor itself was good, no complaints. the appearance wasn't great but it's okay haha. Came here on a Thursday night around 8:00 PM. The restaurant was small and clean with a brightly lit interior. There was pop/club music playing, which didn't really fit the cozy vibe of the restaurant. We were instantly greeted and seated by a young waiter named Steven. Steven recommended the classic TonKatsu as a "safe" item and the Cordon Bleu Katsu as something unique to the restaurant. My friend and I ordered the Cordon Bleu Katsu and the Chicken Katsu Yaki Udon. Steven was so kind as to ask us many questions about dietary and preparation preferences before coming out with the food. Comfortable vibes, attentive service, and good food. My only wishes were that the katsu was crisipier, and that there were more items on the menu (e.g., tempura, shrimp, oysters, etc. and dessert)! read more

They have seating for about 20 people at a time. Feels more intimate because there is a good amount of space between each table. Not super high end dining but had a very cozy yet upscale feel based on the interior design. Staff are prompt, very attentive if you need anything, and checked in to see how everything was without being pushy. Gave some great recommendations for what to try next time (one of the staff favorites is the cordon bleu - definitely will try). I had a small of the Asahi, a karage set (very juicy and tender), and then do the Kadon A combo (pork katsu filet with two pieces of the cheese katsu, rice, miso soup, and a cabbage salad). For all of the main food being fried, it is not oily whatsoever. The katsu is very flaky and crisp and the mozzarella cheese is perfectly melted to hold its shape but close to a fondue texture. All of that for about $35 sounds like a great deal to me . If you skip the beer and appetizer then you could go here for lunch or early dinner and come out for less than $20-$25 depending on what you order + tip. Kadon has been open for 2 months and it definitely deserves more attention. They're going to have their grand opening soon within this month, be sure to check it out for some promotions. We came on a Saturday late lunch and there wasn't a wait. Everything looks so good on their menu and they recently added chicken karrage as an appetizer. I haven't seen that many spots do shrimp and fish katsu, so that's nice to have more options. The katsu was very crispy, light, and tender. We enjoyed our meal and were stuffed by the end of it. I definitely had better katsu and feel like i would prefer going to kagura down the street for the same standard but better tasting pork katsus. We came when it wasn't crowded so we got seated right away. I don't eat pork at restaurants as often but I was on a special diet so I could only eat certain food. Came across this restaurant as I searched for pork, and not regret going here. We got the combo, I got pork and cheese while my fiancé got fried shrimps. He loved his dish and so did I. The crunchy coat of the batter and how soft and juicy of the meat blended together very well. They also came with rice, miso soup and salad, I really like the dressing. Came here with my family and I ordered takoyaki and tonkatsu. The takoyaki was decent, nothing special. TonKatsu was a little on the dry side wish it were a little juicier. Portions were solid and everything came out fairly quick. They were missing shichimi togarashi which would have helped with the dish. read more

I'm so glad I found this spot while looking for somewhere to eat. Not only were the staff incredibly kind and helpful, but the atmosphere of the restaurant was very cozy and enjoyable. I ended up getting the chicken katsu curry don and this was a great suggestion made by the staff. The katsu was fried to perfection with a crispy exterior and a juicy interior. The curry was also delicious, very creamy and not watery in the slightest. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone who is looking for a delicious lunch or dinner at a reasonable price! read more

Got Kadon Set A and it was so good. The tonkatsu was had a light crispy crust, and not greasy at all. The cheese katsu was great as well, and they serve it on a little wire rack so it stays crispy too. Loved the little setup it came with, you grind your own sesame seeds and mix in the sauce, plus they give you some powders to season with. Made the whole thing more fun. Came with rice, miso soup, and cabbage too. Good portions and a really good price for how much you get. Service was super friendly and parking was easy. One of the best katsu I've had in the area. We stopped for dinner and the staff was very nice! They noticed we were struggling cutting up some chicken for our toddler and gave us a knife without asking. The food was really good! We got the katsu curry, chicken katsu meal set, karage and gyoza. The cheese katsu was as fun to eat, think slightly meat fried cheese stick. Unfortunately we only took a photo when we were leaving but the food was really crispy and really delicious. This is half of my chicken set, the portions were generous so excited to have this for lunch tomorrow. read more

Went in today for the first time. Got the pork katsu. I'm diabetic said to not bring rice for me and the server, Steven, was kind enough to offer me an extra order of cabbage salad. Food was great and refreshing. Service was exceptional. It was recommended by Steven to try the pork katsu with wasabi, this was a great recommendation, flavors contrast well. Quality ingredients, I would recommend trying this place. I will come back to try the curry. read more
