I love that our sandwich came with brown butter popcorn. The space is really cozy. They have shelves of wine, bar seating, and normal tables around. There isn't a bathroom in the space, but they have a key for a bathroom within stores it's attached to. There was street parking out front. I recommend checking this spot out for food and wine.

I'm here to review the food, which is great and unlike other menus in the neighborhood. Here, you will find "bar food" elevated so high it could hold its own among fine dining. My mom and shared a few plates: the Vinbero club, the spring pea risotto, and the kale Caesar salad. Everything was delicious. The club is packed with thinly sliced chicken breast, crunchy bacon, and fresh tomatoes, greens, and avocado. The contrast between the bite from the aioli on the inside of the sandwich and the sweet tartness of the balsamic drizzle on the outside was fun and unexpected. The kale caesar was very fresh with a great dressing. But for me the star was hands down the pea risotto. Perfectly creamy, vibrant green, and packed with fresh spring flavor. It appears they change up their risotto offering every so often, and it's gone now, but I will dream of that one until it appears again. Our server (maybe the owner?) thoughtfully split our sandwich onto two plates (hence why the photo only shows one half) and added the side of popcorn to both plates. A nice touch. The inside is a little small and dark though well-appointed. Their mini patio outside is crowded and uncomfortable. But they're doing their best with what the space they have. And truly the food is a standout in the area.

Maybe saying "my apologies,the drink don't come in options on the rocks,should i make a change" or anything. But the server with the beige shirt teaching us that our drinks is served "on the rocks". It looks like he's teaching us back about our order. while our server its the one giving us the options for that. I do feel embarrassed about this. But it's ok. This place its just not going to be to our recommendation because of the server. Also the server should not took the menu and read whats inside the dish in front of us. When i firm about what i order. I think we are very in awkward situation. The server should more knowledge about the menu more than us.

(Though I've not really seen it elsewhere.)

I enjoyed the cubes of ham and how it wasn't overly salty. Definitely eat with hot sauce and some black pepper. I think it would get a little mundane if you were to eat the whole thing yourself but it's not bad. The banana bread donut isn't really a donut. More so a banana bread Bundt cake. It was nice, slightly sweet with what tasted like whipped browned butter.

I have had a service issue the last time I was there and only returned to get Brady to serve us. I do not see myself returning to the Fire and the Feast after a second disappointment of the worst focaccia appetizer! I am not tempting strike 3. Here is what Google says about Focaccia: Focaccia is a soft, flat Italian bread known for its dimpled surface, chewy texture, and rich olive oil flavor, often topped with herbs, salt, and other ingredients like vegetables or cheese. While in line we could see the chefs cutting up ahi fresh right in front. The longer line gave me time to chat with the owner as he was trimming off the skin and other bits. I learned that tuna skin is much tougher than salmon skin so can't be eaten like salmon skin chips. He also said that the trimmed parts can be taken for free if anyone wants them. Apparently they make good crab bait! Medium w/ Rice, Traditional Limu Ahi, Hamachi, Mac Salad ($21.50) - I love the Hamachi poke mix. It's fresh, tender, and buttery fish tossed in a creamy and slightly spicy sauce, filled with little briny pearls and plenty of aromatics giving a super umami bite. The Limu Ahi is very fresh as well - I mean, it's sliced right in front, and there's so much turnover of the food that's it's pretty much guaranteed fresh. The tuna is fresh and tender, but there's noticeably more sinew compared to the hamachi. The Mac Salad is also really good. It's super creamy and the macaroni isn't overcooked so it still has some bite. The rice is unfortunately the weakest item in the bowl. It's a little too dry for my tastes and is only lightly tossed with rice vinegar, giving a tangy flavor. Overall all the poke is fresh, the flavors all meld together into a delightful balanced bite, and the sauces are not overwhelming. Ono Poke definitely serves some great poke! Went for an oddly timed meal on a Saturday around 4PM and they still had all their poke options. There are about 6-8 tables in the store, but quite a few folks take their meals to go. It's definitely not the cheapest meal option, but the poke is absolutely delicious and the fish is unbelievably fresh I tried the Shoyu Salmon, Spicy Tuna, and the Hamachi; all of them were incredible. The Hamachi is only available on weekends and the fish is so fatty it almost melts in your mouth with the creamy and tangy sauce. The Shoyu Salmon is incredibly succulent and just a classic knocked out of the park with a great balance of fresh, salty, and slightly sweet. I'm normally a tuna hater, but the texture is excellent with a nice bite and great spice level.

One waffle cut into the four quadrants, ready to soak up syrup. Simple, but a classic. Chunky Monkey Pancakes - goofy perhaps, but another timeless classic combo of chocolate and bananas. Three chocolate chip pancakes, fluffy and ready to absorb the Nutella drizzle. Could have a few more chocolate chips embedded for a more balanced spread, but the chocolate drizzle helps spread flavor. Bananas for the healthy balance of course.

Hot Dogs in Cars, and Managers Named "Robert" : A Hate Story…read more I have been a regular patron of The Rusty Pelican since I moved to Washington, just shy of 5 years ago. I take visiting loved ones and friends here, and I constantly extol the service and food to anyone who needs a recommendation for a breakfast spot in Edmonds. NEVER. EVER. AGAIN. The manager, Robert, showed sickening behavior. My partner and I were having breakfast out in front, when we noticed that a fellow patron had left their dog in the car on the sidewalk in front of our table. It was 60 degrees out, and completely sunny. The windows were barely cracked, and the dog was panting and straining its neck towards the venting of the window. We called our waiter over, who was incredibly sympathetic and horrified. He went inside to find the customer. We waited a few minutes longer, and then asked a second server to follow up (they were equally horrified and sympathetic). The second server also did not return. My partner went inside to seek help. It was at this point that they encountered Robert. My partner came out a few minutes later and explained what was happening: he had been in the process of denigrating the employees feelings about the matter, telling them to stop bothering customers and (essentially) quit acting like babies. "This isn't Arizona!" he exclaimed. When my partner asked to speak with him and tell him the situation, he was horrendously rude and confrontational, escalating each polite rebuttal with an agitating escalation of rudeness and denigration. My partner calmly explained that in these conditions, a car's interior temperature can rise to above 80 degrees in well under 30 minutes, not including stifling humidity. These conditions can cause an animal to pass out and die within a similar timeframe. At this point, it had been well over 30 minutes since the patron had parked. During all of this, he refused to even address my partner or look them in the eyes. It was absolutely unacceptable, and ultimately embarrassing for a grown man in a PAID CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED POSITION to treat anyone like that. To be clear: the entire staff were incredible. They came out to check on the dog a few times, and tried their best to confront the owner of the dog, but a certain manager was preventing them. They also apologized profusely, and showed a grace that is exemplary and frequently unseen in today's world. We learned several good lessons today: 1. We should have just called animal control right off the bat. The owner isn't going to learn their lesson without legal intervention, or lethal endings. Thankfully they left after about 40 minutes, and the dog seemed to be conscious. 2. I am never going to eat here again, as long as Robert is employed. He should be left in a hot car out front to teach him some perspective. I wouldn't call animal control for him though. 3. I am going to spend the rest of my days around Edmonds telling anyone who will listen this story. To Robert, if you read this: I hope nothing but bad things happen to you forever, and your behavior is inexcusable. You do not deserve to be employed. To anyone above Robert in a position of management or ownership: fire him. Quickly, and unceremoniously. Do it in front of the kind employees, as a treat. They had a familiar air of exasperation with Robert's behavior, telling me this is normal. And under no circumstances should it ever be. Shame on you Robert.

While we were out and about, we saw Wonton Noodle House and filed it in the back of our minds. Today, we decided to drop by for a bit of lunch. For the two of us, we ordered #12 Large - Won Ton and Dumpling Noodle Soup and #94 - Stir Fried Udon with Beef. Service was friendly and pretty quick. Everything we needed to share these two dishes was brought with the exception of a large ladle, but we managed by simply using our soup spoons. We both enjoyed the Dumplings over the Won Ton simply because the Dumplings have more ingredients in them. The noodles had a good bite. The Udon noodles were very good and the beef had been properly tenderized. We would be happy to eat here again when in the area.

I live in CA. My husband and I were visiting some friends up in WA. They wanted to bring me to their favorite gyro place, Kafe Neo on our second day. It's a small gyro place on a not great street. There's a place called Kafe Neo in Long Beach that I love going to whenever I am near Los Angeles, I thought this was the same place. I was so wrong. I actually found this place rather offensive. Let me explain to you why: 1)It's trying to be more than it is. My friends, this isn't a fine dining restaurant. You are located next to a Jack in the Box and a Biker dive bar on a street littered with prostitutes and drug addicts. Accept the fact you are gyro joint that sells gyros. 2) The prices were absolutely outrageous. They charge for feta cheese (not automatically included...who gets a gyro w/out feta) so the gyro cost over $8 even though it was $7.50 originally. I get lamb is expensive but I'm used to paying $6 at most places. For $8, I expected a high quality glorious tasting gyro but instead I got this shriveled tiny gyro with some of the worst tasting tzatziki sauce in the world. The salad was also pretty pathetic. Did I mention the gyro meat was burnt? I'm used to getting fresh cut fries at my gyro shops and these were obviously frozen. It was just gross. 3)When we came at lunch on a Saturday, we walked up to the counter and our order was curtly taken and we were given a number. Our food was then dumped onto our table by some unhappy person. It was like being at a fast food restaurant but at least at a fast food restaurant everyone at least looks semi-happy to be there. There were signs all over the wall bragging about how this place is the best gyro in Seattle. All I could think was that if this is the best gyro in town....then I really pity Seattle because that is absolutely NOTHING like a gyro or Greek restaurant. It's a tacky generic wanna-be Greek restaurant that thinks it can get away charging ridiculous prices for a poorly made gyro. Sorry, Seattle, but your best is really terrible. read more

First off, service is bad. The servers are rude and incompetent, mainly rude. They would rather gossip amongst themselves than take care of a customer. I can forgive cruddy service if the food is good but it's not. I never thought someone could mess up a gyro but apparently I was wrong. The traditional gyro is overcooked and stringy and they try to hide that fact by stuffing waaaay too much lettuce into a gyro (do gyros even come with lettuce?). The gyro itself is pretty skimpy and not very filling and the tzatiki sauce is basically plain yogurt with no flavor. The fries are gross. They're just frozen grocery store shoestring fries that get cold by the time they come to your table. The only good news I have is that there are two quality restaurants that sell gyros very nearby. Take yourself to Time Out Burger and Gyros in Mountlake Terrace or Gyro Delight on 196th in Lynnwood. This place is not worth the time of day and obviously doesn't care about quality or customers. read more

I joined Yelp specifically so I could give this restaurant a horrible review. NO ONE should give this restaurant any business. My family dined here tonight for the first and I assure you the last time. My daughter got a kids pizza tonight that was sloppily put together and looked like rubber, I got a burnt lamb slouvaki dinner and my husband got a skimpy and sloppy burnt chicken gyro with a gross looking side salad. None of us finished our disgusting meals, not even my 4 year old who LOVES pizza. Someone needs to fire the cooks at this restaurant. This was the worst meal I've had. If the owner of this restaurant is Greek he/she needs to be ashamed of themselves for trying to pass this off as Greek. This was sloppy and cheap and nothing about that meal was authentic Greek. read more

Gave one of my old favorites another chance yesterday, it was so disappointing. Went in for lunch for 2, the bill was 50$ We ordered at the counter, no saganaki on lunch menu, 15 for a gyro plate. Walked over to sit down, barely a clean table in an almost empty restaurant. Went back to the counter asked for a clean rag to wipe off our table. We sat down to pita bread that looked like it had been squished to look like taco shells and tzatiki that was plain yogurt, cold rice, humus side and the pita that came with it were not worth eating, (who doesn't want more pita?) it was all so bad. I'm looking forward to a Christmas gathering at Keto Neo Edmonds, as recommended by a friend! Excited to explore Mediterranean cuisine, I asked the waitress for the best dishes. While I enjoy pasta with white sauce and find the soup acceptable, the real highlights for me were the appetizer, Hummus Plate, and the refreshing Mango plus Peach Italian Soda. It's on the pricier side, but I wanted to try something different. Overall, a tasty experience, though next time, I might venture beyond pasta. I came in for dinner and ordered a steak. It was moist and flavorful with just the right amount of salt and pepper. My expectations were sky-high, and I was not disappointed. Had a quick lunch here with my workmate and it was a pleasant surprise! The food came out lightning fast, and let me tell you, it was delicious. We're already planning our next visit. The service was top-notch - the staff was friendly and accommodating. I have to say, the decor is pretty nice too, adds a cozy vibe to the place. Their service sucks! They make you wait forever. The cashier did not know what she was doing. She told me my gift card had no balance. It took a long time to get another person to come and help. Found out that they discontinued the previous gift cards and started a new kind. The cashier had to call another person on the phone to figure out the balance on my card. Every time I go there, they make my blood boil. I will NEVER go there again! read more

Waaay too overpriced for what you get! I paid over 11bucks for a gyro with fries. My server asked me if I wanted regular fries or "greek fries" which has feta on them, so I said "greek!" why not? She didn't mention that it would be more money for them. The price would have been maybe okay if they put more meat in the gyro, there was just a few pieces. I can get a FAT gyro at the Gyro Hut in the Northgate area for 6 dollars!! What a rip!!! read more

Great food. Nice staff. However be careful of the time you go in as it can get busy around lunch. One person was in line and ordered for their whole office. I had to say forget it because it would have taken way too long. But I do frequently come to this place. You can call in your order if you like. Be careful of the fry sauce at the end of the day as it has been out of the fridge. read more

Took my family here for dinner, and it was delicious! They were pretty busy when we went in but we were seated quickly, the service was very good.
