It kept logging me off if my laptop everyone once in a while. After about two hours I was fed up and left. A mentally unstable person also walked in and wandered the cafe for a bit causing a disturbance and laid down at one of the tables. He left after a while but the staff didn't do anything. I love coming here because the food and the coffee is just so good! I always get the club sandwich and it is delicious and a good amount of food. I almost always have to get a box to go and its for a decent price. I really love the atmosphere here too. It is super chic and a great place to grab coffee with someone. I did come here to study and I will say I could not focus due to the volume of music. It is quite loud and it kept me from being able to actually get any work done. I brought headphones and I had the volume almost all the way up and could still hear the overhead music very clearly. I would say if you want to catch up with a friend it is a great place to go but for me its too loud to actually get a good study session in. read more

They absolutely invested in the decor. If you're a coffee fan, you won't be happy. It's not good. And the matcha is Pre-sweetened. Definitely made for people who care more about the outside of things than the inside of things. I can't speak for their wine and cocktails, but I wish they'd bring someone in here who gave the drinks some authenticity and substance. Especially with a name like that. I went to Kahvi to study on a Monday afternoon and it seemed like ASU was having some student event there, so it was a bit crowded when I first arrived and it was difficult to find an open seat. I ordered an iced Americano and it was pretty standard. The baristas weren't the friendliest, but there wasn't any line, so ordering didn't take very long anyways. The vibe was relaxed and the cafe itself seemed poorly lit -- probably to help with the visibility of the projected videos on the wall. The giant projected videos were a little distracting and outlets weren't as plentiful as I had hoped. Overall, good coffee, but maybe not the greatest place to study. read more

Love love love this place. On Roosevelt row, this sleek and cozy coffee shop is a great place to drink,eat, or hang out at. You can even get your study on. With a mixture of coffee, culture, and arts, this place checks off all my boxes. There is art displayed inside. A projector playing some weird but cool videos of anything. Breakfast bites and hot coffee. And it looks like they have a bar and have another bar in the making in the back . As soon as you walk in to the right there is a small mural of a Mayan temple and a bird. But not just any bird, the might and majestic Quetzal of Guatemala. I honestly don't know if I ever saw this place open since I moved into the area last year, but when I walked by today it was bustling so I decided to check it out. The avocado toast was incredible. I honestly was a little intimidated when I saw all the fixings on top, but it actually made it delicious. You have the option to add an egg, too. I also got an iced coffee which wasn't bad either. The staff was super friendly, even when dealing with a hangry, cranky customer who hadn't had her morning coffee yet. They were all really kind and bubbly. I do not live in Phoenix and love to find a good coffee shop when I travel. A few reason for my review--the obvious--the coffee was very good!! I had an iced latte with oat milk. My husband had an iced tea. The ambiance was very nice-calm yet a nice vibe of energy. There is so much space to relax or work. I'm not sure I've ever seen so much space in a coffee shop!! There are flyers around for unique events coming up--such an inviting culture. There is a shop attached and there is a variety of items to purchase--lotions, candles, diffusers, towels, clothing, jewelry. All of the employees were kind and helpful as well! My biggest complaint about this place is the customer service. I tried again and again to give the employees a chance to make me want to support the beautifully designed coffee shop but 5 visits later and I'm very disappointed. Coffee is good, pastry and snack options are great. Interior design and space are wonderful but I haven't found a single charging station throughout the different areas I've sat. I always find myself coming back here to work, mostly because of its quiet ambiance, and wonderful tasting breakfast. Also something about the decor always keeps me coming back! Right off the light rail, it's also very easy to get to. They have music playing but unlike other places it isn't terribly ear piercingly loud where you can't concentrate on your work! This place is almost perfect and I'm now here at the very least a few times a week! They have a cool video playing on the video wall behind some of the workspace tables, and upstairs is what I believe management offices. The attached stores also are cool to browse through. I would say the only downside is the lack of electrical outlets, so if you plan on staying awhile, charge up all of your stuff to 100% beforehand. read more

Only in town for 2 days and went both days! I texted my friend "I just ate a croissant from Heaven" --- seriously their ham and cheese croissant warmed up is going to make your mouth water. I want 10 more right now. They mixed the caramel and brown cinnamon sugar syrups in my latte & it was so delicious with oat milk! I walked so I'm not sure where I would park if I came. This is not a real cafe as their internet hasn't worked for at least 6 months. I haven't been around for quite a while because of this and recently gave them another shot because they had responded to another review a month ago that it is finally working but that was untrue. It is 2022, we can get Starlink internet in the middle of a barren desert. If you don't want to see your business fail by the end of the year, put your resources towards making it what it is or change the entire concept. People go to coffee shops to work on their computers. The only thing I do like is their drink selection, despite it being expensive compared to others in the area. The lack of internet for the cost of your drinks and food doesn't add up and I will not be returning unless it's to pop in, grab a drink and leave. read more

I would love to recommend this place and go back but I can't. I have been twice and have had good experiences both times but today I noticed something that bothered me so much I am writing this review and probably won't return because of. Maybe I am overreacting but I was charged $.50 for 'a splash of cream' in my iced americano and that really bothered me. Small double shot iced americano(12oz?) was $4 and change for and on top of that they added a 50 cent charge to add cream. It just really seems like this is a cost that should be rolled into the price...like the hundreds of other coffee places I have been to. Otherwise great coffee and the nice people. read more

I checked this place out this morning and am obsessed. I had a build your own breakfast sandwich and an iced latte with toasted marshmallow and it was all fantastic. I wasn't sure how the food would be, but it blew me away and we were all super pleased with what we got. There was also some yoga happening and plenty of seating. I'm obsessed with this place it's my favorite coffee shop in Phoenix. The coffee is great, food is great, and the staff is always kind and awesome. So many places to sit with the bar, tables and chairs/couches I feel a little too at home sometimes lol. Donation yoga on Sundays is great as well and there are a lot of really great places right next door if you're looking to meet up with friends for a night out. One girl truly ruined the experience for me. Wish I got her name. I'm new to the area and wanted to grab coffee on Saturday morning - I like to explore new coffee shops to do work at sometimes and since this place is right across the street from my new apartment, I figured it would be an awesome place to try. However, pretty much immediately after I entered with my boyfriend, we were given dirty looks by the girl behind the register. My boyfriend asked if they had seating on the roof since a large portion of their seating was closed for a "private event" and we were met with a snarky "that's a different business". I then ordered a cheese and egg breakfast sandwich and asked if they had any other proteins besides ham and turkey bacon. The employee responded that "there's egg on the sandwich". This comment almost took me out of character because that was completely uncalled for, but instead, I simply replied "you know what I meant but add ham". So we completed our order and received our burnt coffee (I ordered a caramel macchiato and the caramel was not mixed properly) then we proceeded to wait for 20 to 30 minutes for our food. It does not take that long to make two sandwiches when there were only 3 other customers at the time and they arrived after us. We waited directly in front of the register so it was NOT possible to forget we were waiting. So, I finally asked another employee if our food was ready. The employee I asked followed up with the rude employee who placed the original order and I watched as she laughed then walked over to the chef and asked about the sandwiches. When she finally brought them over to us she handed one to me (even though I reached for both) and handed one to my boyfriend. She has a very NASTY attitude and it took everything I had to not address her in the same manner. I can't help but feeling she did not like seeing me with my partner because we are an interracial couple. I just can't think of any other reason for such treatment when we were just two easygoing customers who simply wanted coffees and breakfast sandwiches... I will only return if I speak directly to management and am able to report this employee. She is ruining their business. read more

With that being said, traveling from Atlanta, GA this location was very OK. Customer service is very much "Hi", the food was decent and the seating was hard. A couple of things that I look for in a coffeeshop to either work or for reading purposes are a pleasant environment, decent beverages and good wifi. I tried this place a few times and it looks nice inside but that's it. Coffee is ok and pricey, only 2 electrical outlets for your laptop by the entrance and wifi works intermittently, not sure if they have the cheapest plan or what it is but it disconnects all the time. They suggest you to connect to the bars next door network but good luck with that as well. This place has a lot of potential but I don't think they are customer oriented and that's a shame. read more

So this is a cool place. My plain latte tasted great. But at 4.75 for 8 ounces is just too expensive. Had a strawberry cinnamon roll and it was hard, not that tasty and it cost 4.75-again overpriced. Had the commuter egg sandwich and it was delicious but at 8.75 for a small sandwich with little egg, cheese and onions is just ridiculously overpriced. I feel taken advantage of. They have good food here no doubt, except for that cinnamon roll, but know that you will be paying a lot of money for even small portions of food/drink. read more

Super cute atmosphere! I have honestly never seen anything like it- clean, unique, and extremely spacious with abundant seating. It's not the typical homey and warm feeling that most coffee shops bring- but they also serve alcoholic drinks... so it's a great medium for the various crowds that may be brought in. Pretty pricey, but the coffee was great and the pastries are fresh. This is a great spot for homework or meeting up with friends- not equip for "grab and go" service given the lack of parking and somewhat timely service. Has potential to be amazing, they're still new so they'll get the hang of it- adding any items to a food menu or having a more central theme would have justified for a solid 5 stars! read more

Really pretty space, awesome staff, great selection of pastries. The espresso just isn't good. It was over-roasted and tasted like Starbucks. Not sure what's going on here. Most new shops have discovered that lighter roasts allow the beans to shine and people love the bright, acidic "third wave" style. If this is you, you won't like this dark, roasty, ashy stuff either. Futuro (across the street) has nothing to fear. Too bad because it's such a cool spot. May still serve as a great bar, just not a go-to for quality coffee. read more
