Several times my other family members have called to place an order for pick up well over an hour before they close, just to be told the restaurant has closed already. Today I waited 20 minutes in line, but their iPad cash register stopped working so they just told everyone they decided to close up right then and there. Annoying, but I guess it wasn't really in their control? I would NOT recommend and support this restaurant anymore due to the owner's treatment to non-Filipinos coming to try Filipino dishes at this restaurant. My wife, who is white, went inside while I was parking our car and started talking to the owner asking how she was doing and the owner replied, "I don't speak English." And the owner was trying to not listen and ignore my wife. My wife was surprised because we were there every weekend and they speak English well. But when I came in and saw me, the owner's attitude changed and said "Oh I am sorry. I didn't see you." My wife did not tell me what happened until we got home. Then, we remember that we witnessed this arrogant and rudeness of the owner before. While we were eating, a man with an Indian decent came in and inquired about the food they have. The woman owner said, "There's nothing for you here!" We thought that it was a joke. And on another weekend, a 3 African-American teenagers came in. And before they can even say anything, the woman owner said, "I don't speak English." And she shoo them away. The rudeness and treatment of the owner to non-Filipinos are not acceptable. My wife experienced it and I don't want any non-Filipinos think that Filipinos are like that. Filipinos are very welcoming. So all the bad reviews regarding the rudeness and racism of the owners are very true. They will treat you nicely and attentive to your needs if you are a Filipino or if you're with someone who is Filipino. However, if you are not Filipino, they will treat you like crap. Glad I came across this place. I moved to the area about 4 months ago and have been looking for a great Filipino restaurant. They have a good selection and by what the owner told me it does change daily. It's a buffet style but you can order to go as well. When I went I got the Pork Adobo, Pancit, Fried Chicken pieces, Nilagang Baka, Beef Brisket, (another entree they had but forgot the name but it had shrimp and veggies in it), and their Puto and, don't quote me on this, want to say Bibingka for their desserts. Overall the selection was great so would have something for everyone. Since it's buffet style this is a great way for someone wanting to try Filipino food for the first time to have many options. The owner was super nice and answered any questions I had about the selections since a lot were labeled in their traditional names. Awesome Filipino food here! My mother and I went here for the first time the other day and had a great experience! We ordered fried galong gong, menudo, caldereta, munggo, beef bistek, and sinigang. Everything was delicious! Our only complaint was that the portion sizes were a bit on the small side. It's a cafeteria style restaurant and they make about 8-10 dishes daily. You choose 1-3 dishes and then they give you a side of rice. You can also order a la carte from the 8-10 dishes available. And they have other items that you can order a la carte that's not included in the dishes for the day, such as pancit palabok and spaghetti. Been wanting to try for awhile and stopped in yesterday for takeout. Small mom-and-pop place nicely laid out. Unfortunately came around 4:30 they were almost out of everything. Got mini plate with rice, chicken adobo and beef in gravy to go. Owner packed it so carefully - cardboard on the bottom so everything would stay flat, rice and meats each in separate containers so food didn't leak. The beef slices and chicken were very tender. My favorite by far was the prawn, green beans, squash entree ( reminded me of a Samoan dish.) My close second was the pata! The roasted fried pork shank is da bomb! Flavorful and crispy. First of all, we travelled 4hrs to try Filipino foods and when we arrived they have signed that they're closed due to special events. We can see the owners inside and husband open the door explaining about the event they have to attend, the wife said let them in and feed them. She might saw us hungry and told them this is the reason why we travelled this far but we never thought of checking if there open or close. The owners never disappoint to accommodate us and served us lunch ( menudo, adobo and dinuguan with kutsinta) just like Filipino traditions very welcoming and serving us authentic Filipino foods. Finally! I found a pretty good Filipino spot in the area. In my visit, I picked up two laguna bowls (two enteees + rice) plus pancit, lumpia, and halo halo. I did this because I didn't know of the buffet, and my fiancé was at home. I should have went for the buffet, because we would have gotten to try more foods! Rookie mistake. I'm definitely coming back for the buffet soon. The food! My selections included calderetta (beef and vegetable stew in red sauce), beefsteak with onions, pork sinigang (tamarind soup), and this tilapia garlic tomato onion dish. Along with the rice, pancit, and lumpia, the whole meal was excellent. Also all of these items are included in the buffet! The buffet also includes items like chicken tinola, ukoy, and more. There must have been 15 items in total. They also have Filipino spaghetti! I love Filipino spaghetti! My fiancé and I loved all of the food. It brought us back, especially since we don't have much Filipino food nowadays. We also enjoyed the halo halo very much. It came with a good variety of jellies and beans, as well as crispy rice and flan! I omitted the ice cream because I wanted to save $1.50 and I had Blue Bell at home, haha. My husband was a little sad when the filipino place in the Legacy Food Court closed. Glad we found a better replacement! It's buffet style if you choose to dine in. We've always came in on Sundays after church. My first time there they had Filipino spaghetti which is my favorite. It's slightly sweet and it tastes homemade just like you were at a filipino party. Came here with my sister who was visiting from the Philippines and we ordered the lechon kawali, sisig and caldereta. The lechon kawali was delicious.. crispy as expected. The sisig and caldereta didn't taste like they were supposed to. I totally get that different regions in the Philippines make different variations of Filipino dishes, but these 2 dishes didn't even have a hint of what they're supposed to taste like. The caldereta had mushrooms and it tasted more like beef braised in mushroom soup. The sisig lacked the onion/ citrusy flavor.. it was just chopped up fried pork tossed with a little bit of onion. Great spot for traditional Filipino foods that your mom or grandma would make. Been there twice on the weekends and usually get the crispy pata (fried pork shank) and the pancit noodles. Some of the dishes, while served cafeteria style, are a bit oily though. Pro tip: they have Mang Tomas and Jufran for the pata. If you don't know what that means, imagine Popeyes's without gravy or fries without ketchup. Exactly. Filipino food is hugely underrated among the classic Asian places one would think about (Thai, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese) around DFW. Glad it's located in Plano. One thing I think would be helpful would be to have English translations of these dishes to explain to those that have never had it before. Explaining what dinuguan, kaldareta, and pancit is to some of my Non-native Filipino friends is akin to explaining to someone what umami tastes like. Ran in while I was in Plano getting my license updated because I was interested in trying Filipino food. The owner (I assume) was SO kind and let me sample a few of the entrees because I had never had Filipino food before. I finally settled on Dinuguan, which is the black stew, and it had the BEST flavor of the entrees I sampled. I also ordered some Lumpia and some Halo Halo for after. It's either the food is subpar or the "resto" doesn't feel like a resto since the owners have so many stuff inside that it kinda feels like they practically live there. lol. I'd pick this, hands down, over an 8$ dish at a thai resto with just a cup of rice and 1 entree.
