We had a breathtaking 10 course kaiseki meal before seeing No Doubt at the Sphere last Saturday night! Mayumi remembered me from a brief visit to the Japanese grocery store around the corner a few years ago, and from the old Yuzu location where I had my yelp goodbye party when moving from Vegas. She and Olivia took great care of us along with the three chefs. We decided to splurge on the tokishirazu June special menu which is a rare summer salmon caught before spawning shipped overnight from Japan. The 10 courses: 1. Zensai: 7 seasonal item including shiso jelly, yuba crusted fish, okra, chestnut, house made tofu 2. Otsukuri: O-toro, tokishirazu, and scallop sahimi 3. Yakimono: Hokkaido scallop gratin with lobster, tokishirazu, duck, uni 4. Nimono-gawari: potato dumpling (simmered course) 5. Kawarizara: grilled A5 Wagyu with foie gras and shaved truffle 6. Agemono: deep fried roll of sea eel wrapped around avocado and cream cheese and broccoli tempura with tempura sauce foam 7. Sunomono: tokishirazu namero (tartare) with kaiware sprouts, radish, white woodear mushroom, green onion, shiso, ginger, ikura in sesame ponzu 8. Sushi: tokishirazu and rare flounder fin nigiri plus toro and uni handroll 9. Tomewan garari: miso soup 10. Dessert: white peach mascarpone mousee I also had a Hitachino Nest Yuzu Lager and Eric R. had hojicha to drink. He was totally full at course #4 but we persevered! The quality of ingredients and care in assembly was truly special. Itadakimasu!

I've visited Kaiseki Yuzu more than 20 times, and the restaurant continues to demonstrate an impressive level of consistency and precision across its seasonal tasting menus. The menu changes monthly, and that constant variation keeps the experience engaging even for repeat visits. The meal opened with a well-balanced zensai course that set the tone for the rest of the evening, followed by an otsukuri sashimi course highlighting exceptionally clean seafood. The shrimp showed excellent sweetness, but the snapper stood out in particular for its clarity of flavor. One of the most memorable dishes of the evening came in the yakimono portion of the menu: a snapper and crab cabbage course. The balance of the dish was remarkable. The sweetness of the seafood was supported by the gentle structure of the cabbage, creating a composition that remained light while still delivering surprising depth. Despite its delicacy, the dish carried an impressive amount of flavor and was arguably the most technically satisfying course of the evening. The futamono course combined scallop, snapper, and uni in a preparation that demonstrated the kitchen's ability to layer flavors without overwhelming the natural character of the seafood. The A5 Omi wagyu yakimono course was executed beautifully as expected. On many visits the wagyu tends to dominate the menu, but this time the seafood courses stood on equal footing, which made the progression of the meal especially interesting. The agemono tempura course, paired with matcha foam, showed excellent control of texture and temperature. The batter remained light and crisp while allowing the ingredients themselves to remain the focus. A later sunomono course featuring firefly squid added contrast and brightness to the progression of the meal, preparing the palate well for the sushi course that followed. The sushi course highlighted seasonal fish, including lavender grouper and golden eye snapper, along with an excellent uni hand roll that reinforced the overall seafood focus of the menu. The meal concluded with a tomewan gawari miso soup and a dessert course featuring mochi, red bean, black sesame, vanilla ice cream, strawberry, and matcha sweet potato. The dessert maintained the same sense of balance seen throughout the rest of the meal. Service throughout the evening remained polished and attentive, and the pacing of the multi-course progression was handled with confidence. After many visits, Kaiseki Yuzu continues to stand out for the quiet precision of its cooking, the balance of its seasonal menus, and the consistency of its execution. It remains one of the most thoughtful tasting menu experiences in Las Vegas.

Kaiseki Yuzu was our first kaiseki experience and it did not disappoint. We came to celebrate my husband's birthday and since it was our first time, we decided to go with the Chiku menu. Everything we had was carefully crafted. They were well-presented and were very fresh and tasty. The yakimono featured a grilled kanburi, which is a winter yellowtail available only during the cold months. We were also served Wagyu ribeye grilled over bincho-tan charcoal. The miso-nabe (hot pot) was individually cooked in front of us and had shrimp, oyster, salmon, scallop, tofu, and vegetables. Our soba was topped with Santa Barbara uni, ikura, and quail egg. Service was very friendly. Our sushi chef explained the relevance of each dish that was served. We had a great time and we will definitely come back.

Kaiseki Yuzu deserves a Michelin star. If you are looking for a true experience that transports you to Japan, Kaiseki Yuzu is the place to try. Nestled in an assuming strip mall on Spring Mountain Road, Kaiseki Yuzu is a gem hidden in plain sight. The moment you walk in, a hostess greets you and shows you to your seat. The restaurant is like a speakeasy meets private Japanese dinner for a small group. At the helm is chef Azeuchi with his wife and sous chef. Together they make seasonal Japanese dishes with various types of fish, wagyu, caviar, and other ingredients sourced from Japan. The dishes are a piece of work themselves and taste so delicious. The A5 wagyu topped with real truffle mushroom was shockingly good and the cuts of fish were better than any omakase I've every had. Words cannot describe the quality of cooking, but hopefully the picture do. This is an entire meal and experience to celebrate any occasion.

I would give 6 stars if I could. We went here for my birthday while on a trip to Vegas and we were blown away. We've had a lot of sushi and this is by far the best we have ever had. The staff was also very accommodating and friendly. We appreciated the explanation for every dish and her positivity and humor. The ambience was intimate and contributed to the authenticity of the experience. We will definitely be back!

Yuzu was my go to restaurant when it used to be down the street from me on Silverado ranch. Back then they were regularly open for lunch and had an a large carte menu as well instead of purely omakase/kaiseke meals. When they moved to their new location it was to follow a vision where they could purely focus on the I omakase/kaiseke meals, creating beautiful and memorable experiences with quality ingredients and a mastery of craft. I totally respect this vision but the price point for me was a bit hard to incorporate into my budget. Recently they have been starting to offer weekend lunches to stimulate business, and at a really affordable rate. I jumped on the chance to experience their blue fin tuna bowl, with uni and ikura, and miso soup for under 30 dollars. Tucked away and unassuming beyond their sign, you enter to a peaceful quiet hallway beside a waiting area. The actual rooms to eat are behind closed doors, giving an intimate feeling to the dining experience. There are several different dining rooms dedicated to the specific meal chosen for the night. The head chef/owner had come out and recognized me as a regular from their old location and graciously gave me a tour of the rooms, as well as a new addition they are working on. The kindness and amazing service him and his wife have shown their customers has always been above and beyond. The actual meal was just as special as I remember. The chef behind the bar handling every component with care, brushing the fish delicately with sauce, placing each component in a gold box like a treasure. The taste lived up to the beautiful presentation, as the fish was some of the freshest I've had! I appreciate they have a few non alcoholic options like a sparkling yuzu soda, and a yuzu ginger beer. The cost for the soda was a bit high since its a brand I'm familiar with, however they present it very nicely with a glass that has a large fancy ball of ice. From my understanding this particular menu item was temporary, and they were thinking next of doing a tempura lunch paired with green tea. I would contact them ahead of time about lunch offerings since its not officially represented in their hours of operation online. The meal did inspire me to plan on saving for a dinner in the near future. If you want a truly special experience you should make a reservation asap!

I came here to celebrate my birthday and had a lovely experience. We had a reservation at 8:15pm for the kaiseki course and sat in the waiting room since we arrived early. Make sure you reserve for the correct course because the omakase course is held in a different room. This is a good place if you're the type that likes to sit at the counter and watch the process but don't like to converse too much with the staff. The chef was quiet most of the time and only spoke when he was introducing a handroll. I personally liked this because I'm an introvert. The dishes were all very good. I personally loved the wagyu beef and the toro & uni handroll. They even added a candle to my dessert which was a nice little touch. I've eaten at other kaiseki restaurants in Vegas with better presentation and ambience, but this is still a nice place to try at least once.

A nice quaint little place in Las Vegas's "asiatown" area. And was greeted upon walking in. The service is impeccable! Had two wonderful servers taken care of the small group that we had which was six people. We got to watch the chefs create everything. At the beginning they brought the side of tuna out which was a huge piece and then explained the different portions of the tuna and what they were .Wonderful kaiseki experience. I did the shou menu which was an 11-course tasting menu. Absolutely fabulous! Especially the middle course which was A5 wagyu with foie gras and shaved truffles. Before they serve that dish they came out and showed the certificates of the beef which I thought was a nice touch. The wagyu was like butter. It was so decadent. Everybody said "oh wow" as soon as they ate the beef. A few more courses which were all very good too including barracuda and a nice pickle miso soup and rice course then followed by a dessert and some sake and I was a happy man, and better yet my date was a very happy woman. Thank you kaiseki yuzu I will be back!

This restaurant is a little hidden inside a Shopping strip. It's the very last unit and they only open for dinner. We had the very first kaiseki dinner reservation for the night. Don't go too early because just like the Japanese, they don't open their doors until exactly time. It's a small cozy space. They have limited seating: a small private room fit for a party of 4-6 people and then they have the sushi bar space for kaiseki. Make sure you get reservations because they only do two dinner seatings a night. We had two main chefs and two female waitresses. The waitresses our meals and described what we were tasting. One of the waitresses had a very strong accent, and it was hard to make out what she was saying. But overall, Service was very professional and great! Both the chefs were highly acclaimed; with one being a James Beard award winner with over 30 years experience! The establishment is very clean, and we like the fact that all the chefs wore gloves while preparing our dishes. Everything was presented beautifully and neatly. Overall taste was very good. I especially liked all the different foam and science techniques used to make the different sauces. It was subtle, but had an impact in flavor! It was Our second time trying a Kaiseki meal, which I do enjoy because you get a wider variety compare compared to an Omakase meal. My two favorite dishes were: *Kawarizara: Grade A5 wagyu grilled over bincho-tan topped with foie gras, truffle and BBQ sauce on the side * O-toro tartare topped with uni large hand roll. These two were excellent! I have to admit it was very opulent and rich; you can't eat too much of it. Overall, a good experience; I would recommend it.

I tried the March Special menu $290 pp. Well worth it. Service was great. SAKE options are plenty. Love the dining experience.

We came for the kaiseki menu during restaurant week and had a great time! We called for reservations but if you're looking for the usual menus, you can make your reservation online. We picked the 5:30 pm seating on Monday and there were three other parties of 2 dining with us. The food was executed well and looked fantastic. There were a few bumps in terms of experience from the wait staff but not major. We didn't leave stuffed but we weren't hungry either. One of the parties that night picked one of the regular menu offerings and had more dishes than us. I would come back for another menu offering.

I can't believe I forgot to do a review for this place. It's been awhile since I last ate here so I'm not going to share pictures from that tasting. I did the highest tier with my girlfriend. We made a reservation in advance. We took an uber here from the strip. This was my first kaiseki experience and it left a positive impression. We were pretty satisfied with everything that we ate. The quality tasted exceptional. Service was fantastic. For our own experience, the price was worth it.

Ask the Community - Kaiseki Yuzu

When will December kaiseki special menu be available for booking?

Is there an a la carte menu available?

No - while there are 2-3 menus, they're all course menus.

Is gratuity included in the price or extra?

    extra

    Is there a dress code?

Hi dress casual is what would work best here. Quaint place for a date nite.

How many plates do you get per course?

Depends on level of cost. They had the menu posted on facebook for September

I want to make a reservation for the omakase experience. Is there a way to do this online? Or do I have to call?

I had to call to make the reservation. If you want to do the sake pairing option with your omakase/kaiseki course, you need to request it at the time of booking as well. They also take a credit card for deposit reasons as they order ingredients…

How long is the total experience?

Give yourself at least 2.5 hours

Can the sushi/raw fish course be substituted for something else if someone doesn't eat raw fish?

When you make a reservation, they ask you to pre-order the course you'd like. The menu can be found on their website. At the time of reservation you can ask about substitute for raw items

How much for the meal set?

They have three different levels of Kaiseki at $100, $150 and, $200 respectively.

Is this the same restaurant at Silverado ranch next to the auto shop?

Yes. Same awesome chef and Maiyumi. Best kept secret.

This visit I made sure we'd get in, so I came early enough to be the first person in line. Well worth the wait especially since they limit the amount of Wagyu servings to 10 per day. Since I was first in line I definitely got one of the ten servings and because of the price, my wallet could only handle one order. We also ordered the original Negitoro bowl with Uni and crab, but on the side due to my crab allergy. Because they specialize in tempura, we got their vegetable tempura plate to add a variety of flavors. Needless to say the Negitoro was delicious, but the dish that makes my coming early worth the wait, is the Wagyu tempura bowl. Real A5 wagyu beef perfectly tempura fried was Melt in your Mouth tender and still a medium rare doneness. My next visit, I'm ordering a Wagyu bowl all to myself. Service is always Japanese friendly and efficient system. While the line is still long outside, they come out and take your order and determine if you prefer to dine in or just get Onigiri for take away. Maybe because of the early turnout and it's a weekend, they were not allowing any of the tempura options to go. Now I feel I'm an expert having the knowledge of the perfect time to fall in line and what are the must try orders.

Chamon is a shop specializing in tempura (seafood and wagyu) bowls, negitoro (raw tuna and seafood)…read morebowls + huge variety of onigiris (rice balls) for grab-n-go! The Wagyu tempura bowl (5/5)-- The meat was unctuous and melty, while still having a slight tender chew and somehow without an oily mouthfeel. Something about the tempura on the outside worked magic. The wagyu comes on a bed of fried sweet onions, a tempura egg, shiso, and nori crisp + rice. The tempura sauce was seasoned nicely, just sweet enough. A little salty for me but MT enjoyed it and was basically drinking it with the rice! I'm not a huge meat fan, but this bowl was so great that I'd probably contemplate on ordering this one for myself next time. :) They have a limited servings available for lunch and then another amount reserved for dinner. Onigiri (4.5/5)-- we tried 3 (the shiokoji salmon, spam truffle egg, saba gari). The onigiri were very popular. By late afternoon, they were sold out of all but one variety of onigiri! The shop is homey and tiny-- 3-4 tables for 4 people inside + 4 bar seats where you can watch the chef and kitchen team in action. The bronze/metal splash screen was really nice to prevent the heat and splatters reach diners. Chamon just celebrated its 2 years and they're going strong (just announced plans for a 2nd location!). No reservations here, but once you're on the waitlist, they'll text you a 10 minute heads up when the table is ready. My family made a reservation because they wanted to celebrate my birthday, so I was really looking forward to it. When it is your birthday, even a small detail feels a little more important. You want the night to feel special, smooth, and happy from the beginning. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there seemed to be a small issue with the reservation, and the table we were given was much smaller than expected. Since we were there as a family for a birthday dinner, it felt uncomfortable at first. I have to be honest -- my mood was not great in the beginning. It was one of those moments where you think, "Oh no, is this how the night is going to start?" But then the food started coming out, and Hachi completely turned the night around. The first thing that changed my mood was the beer. The draft beer was served in an unbelievably icy-cold mug. It was not just cold -- it looked and felt like it had come straight out of a freezer. The foam was smooth, the beer was crisp, and the first sip was so refreshing that I almost forgot I had been upset a few minutes earlier. That beer alone deserves applause. Sometimes a perfect cold beer can fix a whole mood, and this one absolutely did. The biggest highlight of the night was the tuna toro. It was incredible. The texture was so soft and delicate that it almost felt like cotton candy melting in my mouth. Rich, buttery, fresh, and so smooth. It was the kind of bite that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a second. We loved it so much that we ordered it three times. Ordering the same dish three times says everything. It was not a maybe. It was not a "let's think about it." It was a clear yes every time. The skewers were also very good. The grilled meats had a nice smoky flavor, and they were seasoned well without being too salty. They paired perfectly with the icy beer. But the shrimp skewer was especially memorable. The shrimp had that perfect bouncy, juicy texture. It was grilled nicely, still tender, and full of natural sweetness. Some grilled shrimp can become dry or forgettable, but this one had personality. Small skewer, big impact. We also enjoyed several other izakaya-style dishes. The grilled shishito peppers with bonito flakes were simple but delicious, and they helped balance out the richer dishes. The grilled squid had a great smoky flavor and a chewy texture that went so well with beer. These are exactly the kinds of dishes that make izakaya dining so fun -- one bite, one sip, one more bite, and suddenly the table is full of happy people. The sashimi platter was fresh and beautifully served over ice. There was a nice variety, including tuna, salmon, white fish, scallop, and ikura. Everything looked clean and fresh, and the presentation made it feel even more enjoyable. But honestly, the toro was the star. I will probably remember that toro for a long time. My daughter ordered tonkatsu, and that was also a huge hit. Sometimes at restaurants like this, kids' dishes can feel like an afterthought, but this tonkatsu was really good. It was crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. Seeing my daughter enjoy her food made my birthday dinner even better. As a mom, when your child eats well and is happy, the whole meal suddenly feels more peaceful. That is just the truth. Overall, Hachi started with a little frustration because of the reservation issue and the small table, but the food and drinks completely saved the night. The icy-cold beer, the amazing tuna toro, the juicy shrimp skewer, and the tonkatsu were all memorable. The food was strong enough to make us forget the rough beginning, and by the end of the meal, we were all happy. Las Vegas has so many flashy restaurants, but Hachi has that casual, comfortable izakaya charm. It is the kind of place where you order many small dishes, share with the table, drink something cold, and let the night slowly become fun. I would definitely come back next time I am in Las Vegas. Next time, I already know what I am ordering first: an icy-cold beer and tuna toro. And honestly, I may order the toro twice from the beginning, because one order is definitely not enough.

We came to Sushi Neko Original for an early dinner after seeing SO many great reviews, and it…read moredefinitely did not disappoint! They offer all-you-can-eat for around $35, which honestly seems like a great deal if you can put down some sushi , but we knew we wouldn't eat enough to make it worth it, so we opted to order à la carte instead. We started with the pork belly, which was actually the only thing we didn't care for, so we ended up sending that back. Everything after that, though, was SO good. The garlic spicy salted edamame was delicious and such a good way to start. We also tried several of their all-day specials--the yellowtail carpaccio, crunchy onion albacore, and seared bluefin tuna--and all three were delicious. Normally the specials are limited to one per person with AYCE, but since we were ordering à la carte, we could order however many we wanted. For rolls, I got the A Little Tease Roll and really enjoyed it. My husband got the Call 911 roll, and judging by how quickly it disappeared, I'd say he loved his too . My son kept it simple with a California roll and a cup of rice, which worked perfectly for him. We also shared a lychee nigiri, one of my favorites, and it was super yummy. The ambiance is probably one of my favorite things about this place. It's really fun and feels like somewhere you could come for a date night, but it's still completely comfortable for families. It would also be a great spot to come with a group. The surrounding area looks a little sketchy, so don't let that throw you off. Once you walk inside, it seriously feels like you've been transported somewhere completely different. The restaurant itself is really nice and has such a fun vibe. Definitely recommend checking this place out and trying some of their different sushi rolls and specials. Everything we had (minus the pork belly ) was BOMB. Next time we're in Vegas, we'll absolutely come back and try some more!

Well, if you're big eater, their cost performance was good! lunch price was $26.95 (as of Sep 2026)…read moreThe server there does their job efficiency. the "shari" is small for Nigiri. So you can eat more pieces. And the variety of the menu also good!! The table was clean. and ambience was modern asian fusion. Those were my pros Then here's cons... it's very saucey... Not Japanese sushi. It's better to stick with garlic tuna cajun tuna etc... well seasoned one. just very different from Japanese Sushi. couldn't taste "Sumeshi" The Skewer Beef Short Rib, I couldn't chew. and no taste... And I wish they served seaweed salad more smaller portion...so I could finish...
