Kanji is located by White Marsh mall. It is AYCE sushi for $30 and $5 more if you want sashimi. You order sushi and drinks with the server, but there's also a mini buffet bar with seafood boil, orange chicken, and other fried items. The restaurant is very clean and simplistic. The service is also good. The server comes back very often and gives you space to eat as well.

As someone who has eaten at countless all-you-can-eat sushi spots, I can confidently say that Kanji Sushi in White Marsh truly stands out! One of the first things that caught my attention was the pricing. All of the AYCE restaurants I've been to always have separate lunch and dinner rates, but Kanji has an incredible deal of ONLY $30 all day long for their full menu + buffet AND it is so worth it! I loved that everything is made to order, so every sushi roll, hibachi, and teriyaki dish arrived fresh, hot, and nicely prepared! Beyond the sushi and hibachi, the buffet selection was fantastic. I was able to try everything from meaty crab legs and seafood boil to wings and wontons! I felt like every craving I had was satisfied here. A unique touch to the buffet is the sauce bottle section. I'm a huge fan of yum yum sauce and spicy mayo, so being able to add as much as I wanted to each bite made my experience so much better and tastier! The most important highlight of my experience was the service! Most times at AYCE sushi spots, it can take forever to receive my order... meanwhile at Kanji, my sushi order came out on a BOAT. I was beyond surprised at the beautiful presentation and how kind the server was to remind my table which rolls was which. Our server was so quick and attentive, making sure that our experience was enjoyable from start to finish! I truly loved my experience here at Kanji and highly highly recommend it! It's the perfect spot to bring friends and family to enjoy a fun and satisfying dining experience.

All-you-can-eat sushi AND crab legs for $30?! White Marsh, we're winning. Kanji is the newest spot in town serving up $30 all-you-can-eat sushi + buffet -- and yes, you can have all the sushi and buffet food you want! My must-tries: * Yellowtail Jalapeño Sashimi - fresh, zesty, and full of flavor. * The Incredible Roll - salmon tempura + avocado inside, topped with crab meat, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. * Seafood Boil - endless crab legs, mussels, shrimp AND crawfish, seasoned perfectly. Don't skip the sauce -- you'll thank me later! * Hibachi Plates - steak & shrimp or salmon, perfectly seasoned and brought right to your table. * Drinks - Thai tea with boba or marble soda (mango, lychee, or strawberry). Definitely get your monies worth for all you can eat for $30! Waitress comes and ask if you want anything off the menu as far as sushi, hibachi or appetizers. You can order everything all together or in sections whenever you are ready. The food buffet is also available in the $30. Not too many options at the buffet but just enough to go along with what's on the regular menu. Off the menu I ordered the hibachi chicken with fried rice, the incredible roll and the California roll. On my small plate I had crab legs, fried wings, orange chicken and lemon pepper shrimp. It's a nice atmosphere and the waitress was very attentive and helpful with suggestions

For $30, you get all you can eat sushi and more and $5 extra if you want sashimi. The quality and variety make it such a great deal. Service was quick and friendly, and the space felt clean and comfortable. I was so full . Already planning my next visit. Kanji Sushi is definitely a spot worth checking out!

Awesome experience. The sushi is incredibly fresh, the appetizers and buffet selections were all delicious, and you simply cannot beat an AYCE sushi experience for $30. The restaurant is very clean and well staffed, and the customer service was excellent. Joy made sure we had everything we needed, and the food came out quickly. Definitely check them out and go hungry

Saw this place on tiktok and decided to give it a try. Did the all you can eat option and there were a lot of options to choose from. We tried quit a few items on the menu and everything was pretty good and fresh, you can tell it was made to order. In addition to the regular menu items they also have a hot bar with a small selection of seafood and small bites like crab ragoon and chicken wings. The restaurant was very clean and modern. And the server was fast and very very attentive.

When I heard there was a soft opening to the new all you can eat, made to order, sushi restaurant, Kanji Sushi, there was no question I was going to visit during the weekend. When you step into Kanji Sushi you walk into a very sleek and modernly designed restaurant. Where you can view the sushi bar where all the magic happens. As you sit and ponder which menu items you'll partake in you can see all the appetizing platters being served to guest. I was actually pretty shocked to see many of the traditional sushi specialty rolls on the menu. Which gives you the opportunity to try some different rolls you may have not had the chance to try before. Kanji offers a small buffet station of wings, egg rolls, general Tso's, and a few other items you can dine on while you wait for your made to order items to arrive. During our visit we decided to stick with the sushi and was pleasantly pleased with all the items we chose. However, Kanji also has hibachi items, fried rice, and noodles dishes you can order as well. We had an awesome time at Kanji Sushi's soft opening and our waitress was super sweet throughout our visit, making sure we got our fill of the different varieties of sushi. Kanji Sushi brings a much needed new and fresh dining experience to the White Marsh area and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Yall know I love me some sushi so I was so excited when this new AYCE spot opened. I'm very leery about AYCE sushi spots because they're only worth it if the fish is good quality otherwise you're taking a major chance. I'm proud to announce Kanji passed the test! Freshness rating 10/10! Everything on the menu is really included in the AYCE price (starters, sushi, sides, traditional hand rolls, hibachi, teriyaki, speciality rolls) and you get unlimited access to the food bars. I'll be honest and say I did not visit the food bars because that felt pretty overwhelming, everything I wanted was on the menu. But the next time I go, I'll make an effort to check out those offerings. They bring out your plates fairly quick which helped calm my nerves about the service having a 90 minute time limit. If you can't get full in 90 minutes, you're doing it wrong. Compared to General House in Glen Burnie (my fave AYCE sushi place), I'd say their fish quality is shockingly better and they have a lot more menu options however, their sushi options aren't quite as fancy. They use fewer ingredients so their specialty rolls don't really stand out. Side note: They have seating on an elevated patio that is so cute. It overlooks the mall parking lot so it's not much of a view but I think it's worth noting for people who are planning a date.

So excited that an ayce sushi spot opened so close to me! Kanji located inside the white marsh mall where Green turtle used to be- and maybe even Burger King (back in the 90's) offers a variety of sushi, small plates and a hot bar. The best part about their offering is that they also offer a seafood boil at their hot bar and I think I enjoyed that the most over the sushi. The boil had that buttery Cajun taste that you would get at a traditional seafood boil. The sushi was also amazing! Everything is made to order and the fish to rice ratio is unreal. You really can't beat the price ! Our server was also amazing! He was prompt and very attentive. The service here overall was quick and I would highly recommend!

The menu had a good variety and I feel like there's something for everyone. Raw sushi, cooked sushi (ala carte pieces, rolls); fried items, salads, soups, sashimi, pokebowls, noodles (stir fried, soup); japanese pancakes (okonomiyaki) and different beverages, etc. Quite a few times I've gotten the Deluxe Chirashi Sushi before, both dining-in the restaurant and through take-out orders with DoorDash. It was super awesome and has to be my favorite! It's a bowl of sushi rice with different vegetables (varies: kale, mixed greens, cucumber, radish/ daikon, avocado, micro greens) and colorful delicate slices of seafood (both raw and cooked: tuna/ ahi, seared tuna, white tuna/ escolar, salmon, yellowtail/ japanese amberjack/ hamachi, mackerel, shrimp/ ebi, egg/ tamago, crab stick, fish eggs/ tobiko). It's definitely like a treasure box from the sea. I get so happy when I see this dish! It's almost too pretty to eat! XD I've also tried a few different rolls like: Baked Salmon Philly Roll "Oven cooked salmon, cream cheese, avocado, spicy mayo, sweet sauce" (baked in a foil packet), Eel Cucumber Roll (Unagi), Maryland Real Crab Roll "real crab mix with Japanese mayo, old bay, avocado, cucumber crunch flakes, wrapped with soy paper, special sauce", 3 Roll Combo (Spicy or Regular: California Roll, Tuna Roll and Salmon Avocado Roll). The Spicy Cali Roll was amazing!!!I've also tried the Seafood Pancake (okonomiyaki) "made with wheat flour batter, shredded cabbage, onions, carrots, squash and okonomi sauce, Japanese mayo, on top and shrimp, clams, and mussels". What I really like is how well packed the take-out orders are! They Miso Soup is wrapped in saran wrap to make sure it doesn't spill. There's a piece of carsboard under the soups to make sure they lay flat. The Miso Soup is also very flavorful with lots of tofu and seaweed inside, not watered down with no flavor. The sushi rolls are packed in clear boxes efficiently and with good presentation! I recommend to definitely check this place out! You won't be disappointed (: I can't wait till I order sushi from here again!

I came as part of a large group dinner. I appreciate that they took large reservations and sat us in a nice spot in the middle of the restaurant. The server was nice and patient, but I did notice his jacket smelled like cigaret smoke. I asked what to get, since the menu is *huge* and overwhelming (I'm not sure why sushi, steak and pad Thai are on the same menu?). He recommended sushi, so I got a flaming dragon roll (I forget the exact name). Anyways, everyone else also ordered and the food came relatively quickly. Now...when I tell you this is the worst sushi I've ever had. Again, I hate being negative but I have to tell it like it is! When they first presented the dish, it was cool because they serve it on fire. I knew that they had sake in the dish (probably so the flame can keep going after they take it out of the kitchen). However, when I bit into it, the sake was *extremely* overpowering. I couldn't taste anything else except the sake. It was extremely alcohol-heavy and I could not finish the dish. I asked others to try it, and they all agreed that it was too heavy. The prices were also very high for what we got. The only food I enjoyed were the appetizers, but they were still unremarkable. Overall, I regrettably cannot recommend this place. None of the dishes stood out, and the sushi was shocking.

This place was luckily right nearby with good reviews, but since it was a bit too late to eat indoors as they were cleaning up, I ordered my food to go. The woman in front seemed friendly based on the brief interaction I had with her. I went with the $22.95 Grilled Roll Combo, which included grilled tuna, salmon, and yellowtail rolls. All of this came with a pretty large container of miso soup that was better than your typical store-bought version, as it had a better depth of flavor. There was a bit less tofu than at some other places, but perhaps I just got an uneven batch. The meal came with 24 pieces in total, which was a bit shocking to my NYC brain. The various fish had different flavors and nice grill marks, with my favorites being the tuna and yellowtail, as expected. The rice was a little bit soft, but this was to be expected as there was sauce on it and it had traveled, so I am not blaming them. Outside of the rolls, there was some wasabi and some gari/sushi ginger. It was a nice and satisfying meal. Overall, it was a good deal. I can see why this place has been open for years from this dish alone. I would go again if I were back in Baltimore for a game or something and would recommend others check it out.
