I yelped this spot. Specifically for the crab cakes or crab rolls. No one else seems to have them anymore. It's always the little hole In the walls are the best choices (it seems) all food we ordered was great. Small place, clean and service was good. It's close to my work so I'll be coming back here in the future.

Mango Sticky Rice

Stopped by around 5 PM on a Friday and was surprised to find parking easily, even though the parking lot in front is quite small. The restaurant only had one waiter working, but he was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. We ordered the Golden Tofu, Pad See Ew with Beef, and Mango Sticky Rice. Everything we tried was delicious, and the portions were good for the price. The Pad See Ew had great flavor, the Golden Tofu was perfectly cooked, and the Mango Sticky Rice was a sweet way to end the meal. I'll definitely be back!

Crying tiger. Cut steak with sauce. Must have.

I give this place 5/ 5. Hospitality was amazing. Our orders were cooked perfectly. Crying tiger 5/5. Seasoned and cooked well as requested. Soft shell crab with soup was fantastic. The sauce was subtle and seasoned well. 5/ 5. Pork belly with rice and eggs was amazing and seasoned well. 5/ 5. Inside was clean and well maintained This place is hidden gem. The only challenging is the parking. It is shared by other vendors and it only has 10 spaces available. Street parking is a challenge also.

Khao soi with soft shell crab

Yeah! I came here after a morning hike and was craving Thai food. I completely understand why the soft shell crab khao soi was raved about on so many reviews. I ordered this and was not disappointed! The portion of soft shell crab was generous, and the rest of the dish was solid. Extra props for them being willing to bring up a bill for each member of my seven person party.

Decent Thai restaurant, was in the neighborhood and stopped by this place for lunch. I think this is one of those places that caters to the specific patrons in the neighborhood. Or maybe its because they are trying to do too many cuisines, I'm not sure. Tried the Shumai (Chinese), the pad see eww and the fried rice. The food was just okay. Shumai was meh and the pad see eww and fried rice were both average. Service was friendly but restrooms were a little janky.

From left to right Pho boat noodles,Livers salad(specialty),papaya salad, fried chicken original style and sticky rice
Amy P.

Authenticity fresh and deliciousness dishes, starting from the pho boat noodles if you like beef. The papaya salad is lemony delicious with your choice of spices or non spice at all. They making perfectly well to your liking. The OG. Fried chicken is to die for with crunchy outside and juicy inside but well cooked. All paired up well with the sticky rice. This rice isn't sweet like dessert you would normally expect from sticky rice and mango though it's has the texture mixed between sushi's rice and jasmine rice combo. I ordered for delivery today yet their packaging was so utterly flawless nothing leaked yet well packed. Love loved! If you choose to dine in with them you will get even better experiences since they were like a family that cared. Clean tidy spaces with the clean restroom.

Boat noodle medium spicy

First and foremost the food was absolutely amazing. I love their boat noodle, duck noodles and pork namthok. It truly reminded me of home. The business is family owned and truly wants to make sure their dishes are at their highest standards. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. The waitress and family were so nice. I saw the family come out to say hi to their regulars. It was such a humble experience. If you want authentic Thai food in the valley file check this place out! Con: parking is rough but it's ok, we parked on the street:)

This is the Soft Shell Crab Panange. The image shows broccoli and this isn't standard. I ordered it with the addition of broccoli

This spot is excellent! It's a family owned restaurant and only two people are in the back cooking (everyday). The reason I love that is because it offers consistency in the flavors. That said, the flavors are Always fresh, vibrant, and full of spice. I especially love the spicy eggplant and soft shell crab panange. The soups are delicious and so are the noodle dishes. The serving size is perfect for one person, and you might even take a little home with you--I never do, but I've seen it happen. The prices are fair and the service is too. Parking is easy, and it's primarily street parking as the lot is tiny. The ambiance is quaint and no frills. The bathroom is very clean, btw. I think the servers are the daughters of the parents that are cooking in the back. Oh, the desserts are great! If you live in the area you should definitely give it a try. I have only eaten in the restaurant, so I can't speak about how the food holds up in delivery. One last thing, the fried tofu has always been crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside; it's never once been fried to a point where it's hard all the way through. And the chicken has been moist, not dry and rubbery. I'll see you there!

Vegan Drunken Noodle with a shrimp tails
Derek B.

My partner kept getting sick and we could not figure out why. Turns out the "vegan" drunken noodles from Koa Hom Thai Food had shrimp tails in them. This is not a small mistake. It's carelessness that made someone sick over and over. If you offer vegan options, take it seriously. People's health depends on it.

Honestly, just tried this hole in the wall because one day I was having coffee next door and overheard some guy say the food here was good and he was Thai so through eavesdropping I discovered Kao Hom lol! The service has always been fantastic. Family owned and even when super busy the one server always keeps up on everything. As someone who was once a server, I will tell you she is top of the line! It's not easy to be the only person serving and in charge of takeout at a packed restaurant(even of this size). I also wanna give a mention that this place actually brings the spice! I love northern Thai food and I love spicy and finally found a place with a good heat level. The tom kha is one of the best I've had and I love that they actually fill it with chicken instead of a few pieces and mostly broth like many other places do. Every dish I've tried here has been perfect. I highly suggest!

I love the crispy edges of kai jiew, really can't get enough of it. This place has two kinds though: thai omelette (which looks like a common omelette but with ground meat inside and a brown sauce), and scrambled eggs (which looks like the 'thai omelette' that i've known from other thai places). Kai jiew / kai jeaw / khai jiao / kai jiaw (scrambled eggs) -- if you like those fluffy, crispy fried eggs that are mostly called thai omelette at other places, this is the one you want. They're not as crispy, but still fluffy and full of flavor. They're a bit pricey though, which i find a little weird since this is normally one of the cheapest dishes at most thai places. Thai omelette -- this egg dish is one i've only seen at this place. It's more like egg foo young than the thai omelette that i know. Still flavorful though. Crab fried rice -- one of the best! It might not be as full of crab aroma, but this is the only place where i found a balance in fried rice as both an entree and a side dish. Usually fried rice is either flavorful enough to be an entree, or slightly bland and best as a side. But Khun Dang's is the perfect middle ground: flavorful enough as an entree, but not so strong that it overpowers your main dish if you decide to eat it as a side. Chicken fried wonton -- nicely crispy, such a joy to bite into! Thai ice tea -- not bad, pretty okay. Not too sweet, and not the "packaged mix" kind. Thai ice coffee -- strong, reminds me of vietnamese coffee (in all the good ways). Service was warm and friendly. Got my order in half an hour, which is pretty good considering they were packed for sunday lunch. The place is nice for hanging out and chatting when it's not packed, but even when it is, the tables aren't arranged too tightly. The price point is a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and portions reflect it.

I'm Laotian myself so it's always nice to support a small business like this. When we came during the evening, they had a lot of parking in the plaza so I just parked in the front of the restaurant. They were getting their windows tinted so there were works doing some work in the dining room. The restaurant was also busy too so it took like maybe 10 minutes to get seated. We started off with water, my wife with her Thai Tea and she also wanted the egg rolls. After our waitress brought it out, my wife ordered the chicken pho and I got the boat noodle. Our food didn't take long to come out, my wife chicken pho came out first and then my boat noodle came like 5 minutes afterwards. You get a great portion of noodles and meat on both soup. I had to ask for lemon for my wife since they didn't one to the table and also for the Sriracha sauce. I thought the boat noodle was delicious here and my wife loved her chicken pho. The service was good, remember that there only two waitress here so I would say just be understanding especially if they are busy.

We were so hungry for Thai food and ordered about 3-4 items. Spoiler alert, we could not finish everything but it was all so good and delicious!!! I complemented my meal with a small Thai iced tea and it had a great blend with strong taste of their condensed milk. The plates were all so delicious and so good. I wanted beef jerky, a dish I always order from thai restaurants but I couldn't find it on the menu. Luckily there was such a thing when I ordered!!! The beef jerky was chewy and not super hard when I bit it. The meat was good quality, it was a bit like steak to be honest!!! The fried rice was also just regular order but it was so tasty, buttery, and yummy. I loved the honey roasted ribs because it was so tender and flavorful. The panang curry was also super super good. I don't usually enjoy curry like that because it gets too spicy but the mild level was perfect for my taste buds and so good and creamy with the chicken we ordered for it. The white rice it came with would be doused with the curry sauce/stew and it would just be an amazing combo of flavors!!!! I would definitely recommend this spot, and would be excited to come back here for more for even hangouts with friends.
