My carpet(including 13 dirty stair steps) were overdue to be cleaned and I was nervous but Ken was reassuring: guess what? NO HIDDEN FEES!! With 4 pets in the house, over the years the previous companies we used (hint - one is named after a tower in SF and the other rhymes with "manly"...) the price was never the same as quoted or even when the job started. I haven't used their service so I can speak about my telephone experience. I immediately heard 2 voices, apparently because another employee was talking next to the guy who answered my call. The guy answered sounded as if he was in a hurry, gave me a minimum price that was way too high for me, quickly ran through a series of things I should ask if I call other places and then abruptly hung up. read more

I have an extremely tiny, approximately 10 x 12, bedroom and the majority of it is covered in furniture. It's a highly trafficked area and the traffic comes straight from the alleyway behind my house so the carpet gets dirty quickly. Typically, with other companies, it takes no longer than 1 hour, very quick job. With this company, I was initially excited because I was able to schedule online and did so fairly quickly. I provided access to the unit and sent an email with regards to the specific areas that were trouble zones on the carpet to include the entrance way and some spots next to my desk and to the left of my bed. Only one of the areas with even touched. The area next to my desk was cleaned but none of the books, small items under the desk, even the tiny little dog been of toys wasn't moved and cleaned under. I gave permission in the email that I sent to Ken to move whatever needed to be moved and he said he would get the job done. If there was any problem with moving, not even Furniture, anything that was on the floor, I would have like to know ahead of time so I could do it myself to make sure the majority of the carpet was cleaned. But that's not what happened. He was there less than an hour, texted me when he was done and then send me the venmo request. I was at work through 9 p.m. and when he hadn't received his money the same day on venmo yet, began texting you again regarding whether or not I had received the request. You can easily check venmo to see if the invoice was sent, but whatever. I wrote him back when I was leaving work after 9 p.m. And obviously wanted to see the job before I submitted payment and indicated that I would when I got home. When I got home and noticed that he not only did extremely limited work but also did no work on multiple areas that I mentioned in my email. I sent him a message just a few minutes after I explained why I had not yet sent the venmo app on getting home and he basically apologized for not doing the job that I thought he should have done. I explained that the areas in my email weren't touched and then he made a weird comment about the name of his business including the word karma for a reason. I have no idea what that has to do with not picking something up under my desk to clean underneath it, but whatever. It made no sense at all frankly. So I paid $80 for a very, very small space. Then received another text from Ken just before 11 p.m., which is completely inappropriate and unprofessional in my opinion, with the most insincere and awkward apology ever. No discounts are offered for clearly not doing the job that he said he was going to do, nothing. My suggestions for anyone using him in the future, put every single possible thing on the floor to include your small box of dog toys, any books, Etc on something so he doesn't have to do it because he won't. But he won't tell you that ahead of time. And I also wouldn't pay for the work before you've seen it because it may not be what you're expecting. read more

I had them clean my carpets a few months ago. They were pretty filthy... I had some nasty stains in the entryway that I tried cleaning myself with one of those carpet cleaner rentals from Home Depot. That was a fail. My kitten also claimed a few spots around the apartment that I just couldn't take care of. I was really surprised with how Karma Carpet Cleaning got all the stains out (I mean, they were really really bad), and was able to keep them out. I went with karma carpet cleaning because of the quick response time to my yelp inquiries and they were readily available to come a few days after I called. My appointment was for 10am. He didn't arrive until 1140am. an hour and 40 min after original agreed upon time. He arrived in an unmarked mini van, not the professional one shown in pictures. He brought in a shop vac, and a buffing machine. A buffing machine that one would use on a marble or tile floor, not carpet. Then he proceeded to spray some chemical on the floor, and use the buffer to...? When he was finished the carpets were not wet at all. I've had carpets cleaned several times before and it always takes a few hours to dry. So all he used was some chemical spray and the buffer.. no water or suction vacuum to pick up any dirt. The last time I had my carpet cleaned the company I used made a lot of. Promises but didn't deliver. They promised to be at my house at a certain time but showed up more then and hour late. They promised me a certain price but wanted nearly double the agreed upon amount when they were finished. They also promised that the carpets would be fast drying but a day later they were still wet Karma carpet cleaning was a very different experience. They were on time both Ken and Kevin were clean cut and very personable. They actually charged me less then the quote they gave me and when they left the carpets were nearly dry. Hardworking guy. Friendly enough to begin with. Although The estimated quote was lower over the phone than when the real quote was provided onsite - but that's not an issue. It was when I brought the increase up that Karma carpet threatened to leave. It was the tonality of F. You. I should have let him go since I did have better price quotes. My carpets still have a dirty smell even after paying extra for enzymes and the fringes were not brushed. They do not use an water extraction unit and in my opinion dry cleaning carpets is inferior to water extraction. Please do you homework. I suspect Karma knowingly avoids admitting to customers they do not use a water extraction unit. I'm very unsatisfied with the results. read more
