Shopping for a car is a pain. You don't want to get ripped off. You want to find a good deal. And these factors multiply when you are shopping for a used car. I was looking at a used car out of necessity and, after shopping around, I found a good deal here. I worked with Adrian, who was very helpful. He gave me a test drive while sitting in the back next to my almost-two-year old son (who kept kicking him). He was patient, helpful, and positive the entire time. They also made the car-buying process as easy as possible. (My bank, not so much. They kept rejecting the large purchase as exceeding my limit and fraudulent.) Also, I have two children and they had a little play area with an arcade game. They also pop free popcorn (fresh) and have vending machines. Catering to kids helped make the process easier as well. These people are crooks, a total rip off!!!! I bought a 645 CI BMW from these guys and believe it or not the first day it had a transmission malfunction! they told me to take it in ....then told me they did not find anything wrong with the transmission. It continued doing transmission malfunction over a year and eight months. It's crazy Because after a year was up my transmission malfunction came on once more.... although this time I did not have warranty, they did not want to fix it & they knew that I had this problem before and they still did not want to fix it because they said I no longer was under warranty.Hands-down this is the worst vehicle I ever owned . All the rest of my cars came from certified dealers . The car before my BMW Was a Cadillac that came from a Cadillac dealer, after I bought the Bmw I bought a Lexus witch came from a Lexus dealer.now I'm driving the new Jaguar and I got this from the Jaguar dealer . We were looking into buying a used car posted on autotrader.com by Karplus Warehouse, but we had first called in to see if it was in stock. We talked to "Rocky" and he confirmed it was in stock and to come down to check it out. We asked if there was anything wrong with the car and its history but all he told us is that it was working and had a clean title. We live in FRESNO and we told him that we would be willing to come down to buy it if he saved it for us and he agreed. After the 3 hour road trip to Karplus, we met "Rocky" but he referred us to another salesman. They told us to get in another car with them to go check out the car in the repair shop and so we did. When we got there, the car we wanted was literally beaten up and unable to be driven!! I asked them why they lied to us about the car and they BLAMED THE COMPUTER. SERIOUSLY? I bought an black 2006 mercedes CLS back in November from Karplus warehouse. I can't describe in words my experience. I had problems with my credit do to medical bills after shopping for month I found this one and called. After talking to Jose and explaining my situation and my budget he told me the best way is if I can come in with my paperwork they need to take a look at my credit for them self. I decided to give it a shot cuz I really wanted that car and didn't want to settle for less that was my total dream car I know that I was told by other dealers I went to many times before that this car is too much for a first time buyer but I still had hope after talking to Jose. On my way there I had mix feelings I wasn't sure about it but at the same time I had the excitement in me. As soon as I got there I was treated very nice and professional I asked for Jose and was browed to him, he was still helping a customer. Jose finally came and say hi, it felt like we know each other he made me feel welcome and I can tell he was sincere person it felt really good and my anxiety blushed slowly. He then showed me the CLS wow it was so clean like new he even took his time to tell me about all the functions on the car. I told him that I am trying to get an CLS for a while now and it didn't happened. I told him that's my dream car and I would do anything to get it. All the other dealers wanted to switch me to some Nisan Altima or Dodge Charger (hell no). Jose told me not to worry he will do his best to make it happen but we need to talk to the finance. I was like oh yeah it's not gonna happened. Jose explained that they work with a lot of different lenders and that he is sure that they will find one if not that they do there own financing as well. I was sitting and waiting for a little I saw other people driving off in there new cars that made me calm down a little. They called me in the finance room Jose was with me and on my side the finance told me that this is a very difficult deal to do with the downpayment I have and that I would need more. Jose started to defend me and telling the finance guy that I have been pushed around and this is the only car I want and I really would do anything. They could tell how much I wanted that car so they made a couple of phone calls and talked to me about a payment plan that would work for me and then... I can't believe it they made it happened. I was never happier in my live my tears literally start rolling down my cheeks I got emotional. I know that they cut back the price alot for me and did not make any money on me and that is something you don't find in a lot of people or business this days specially a used car lot. I just don't know how to thank you Karplus Warehouse I will tell everyone about you guys and make everyone to come see you guys. There is still real humans out there thanks. My special thanks go's to Jose he is my Hero without him I would not drive my ride now. If you are looking to deal with human being to buy a car defiantly go to Karplus first cuz they have an ocean of cars and they get down to make a deal happened. Don't waste your time go here first. I had the worst experience ever... sales rep Gustavo and his supervisor spoke to me about holding a car I liked, the car was loaned to a customer told me to leave $50 deposit to hold the car and have it brought back so I can purchase it. I left a deposit. So the next day I was told to come in. These numbskulls sold the car even before I came in at the time they scheduled me. No calls to notify me or nothing, I show up and Gustavo tells me a customer with cash on hand came in and we just sold it... Well where's the word of honesty... DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!! THEY ONLY SELL LEMONS. At the beginning it might seem like you are getting a good deal but you will get screwed. I bought a car in March 2013 and within a few days I noticed the AC didn't work. The extended warranty takes you to Sheldon Auto Care who gives you the run around. I called them telling them the AC didn't work and told me off the bat the extended warranty didn't cover it. Soon after I noticed the engine was noisy and leaked oil. I made an appointment to get the car checked and they literally told me there was nothing wrong with the car. I had to go out of my way and take it to Ford Galpin Motors to get a diagnostics and they told me it needed a whole engine rebuilt. I literally had to go back to Sheldon Auto Care because thats the only mechanic the "extended warranty" covers. BY THE WAY THE ENGINE REBUILD TOOK 3 MONTHS and all the loner carS they provide me were salvaged vehicles. It is now 2015, even after the engine rebuilt and half a dozen times I've take it to Sheldon Auto Care the car continues to have problems. BUYERS BEWARE!! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM KARPLUS! read more

So after leaving a negative review on here and on google, contacting the better business bureau, the True Car buying service and my bank, I finally returned to the dealership when they said in writing that they would take my car back. I would have to pay the $500 re-stocking fee (and lose the money I spent on repairs to make the car safe to drive) but I was ok with that. I had a conversation with Allen K (the sales manager) who, unlike the rude Arman Apoian, was cordial and asked what it would take to make me happy. Basically, I asked for a refund of what they call their "pre-loaded options" which were never explained to me in the price negotiations as well as a refund of the "warranty" which didn't cover my car and reimbursement for my repair costs. He explained that they buy cars at auction, get the safety and smog checks and re-sell them at a small profit. Their bigger margins are on their anti-theft etching on the windows and their expensive gps system. We came to an agreement somewhere in the middle. It took over two hours. I'm not happy but I was relieved not to have to look for another car. However, I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy. It was one of the most depressing and demoralizing experiences I have ever had. read more

Finally writing my review a few months later....I have been to many car dealers in my life time and have probably purchased over a dozen cars in my years and this probably has to be the worst experience thus far. I saw a specific very car for a pretty fair price when I browsing on the car gurus app that caught my attention. I called them to confirm it was still available and it was so I drove out there from Downtown LA in traffic the same day to check it out. Upon further inspection the car was beat to $%$*# for only being about 5 years old let alone it wouldn't even start because the battery was dead so I had to wait around for them to come and jump it and then it needed gas too before I could even test drive it so I had to wait 15 minutes for this. After this I was already discouraged but I gave them a chance and went through the whole process. Towards the end of this experience I went inside, got the free Carfax to check its history and saw that it had indeed a clean title but 2 previous accidents as well and wasn't told this when I had ask the salesman. All in all when we went inside and started getting to the numbers I had realized the out the door price (since they wouldn't budge on price because apparently they have the best prices in ALL OF LA!) they added all these additional fees that I literally have never seen before at any car dealer...Car recovery fee, some kind of anti theft GPS fees and so on that amounted to being about 20% of the cost of the vehicle itself and that was before taxes, title and transfer fees!!!!!! THEY JUST MARK THEIR CARS DOWN TO BE THE LOWEST ON THE MARKET AND JUST MAKE UP FOR IT WITH THESE BS FEES. These people are crooks! They take advantage of people with bad credit! They sold me a salvage car even though I said I didn't want salvage. They made me sign a form to acknowledge "frame damage" on the car and told me that didn't mean salvage! Later on, every month, something would break on that piece of crap, and the mechanics fixing it were horrified. They told me some parts were being Held in place with CHEWING GUM! Who the hell does that?! I ended up spending more money on that car than I should of. The icing on the cake was when I went to another dealership to trade it in, they told me it was salvage so I basically got no return on it. Stay away from these people! read more

I was hesitant to visit this dealership after reading some negative reviews, but I decided to give it a try because the vehicle I wanted, a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee was in its inventory. I called its Internet Department and spoke with a guy named Rey, who was helpful in giving me heads up about the vehicle. He even suggested that I submit an application online so he can find the best financing rate available. My credit is not that exceptional, so I expected to be charged higher than regular interest rates for financing a vehicle. Together with my wife, I went to this dealership first week of May to see the vehicle. First, I was amazed at the dealership's size. This is not your usual "hole in the wall dealership" that displays only a handful of rundown used vehicles for sale. It is literally huge, with at least 600 vehicles in the lot, of various makes and newer models. I was met by the Internet guy, Rey, who assigned a salesman to assist me. After test driving the vehicle, we met the Sales Manager, Ken. He explained that because the vehicle was being sold at internet price, this will be a hassle free purchase, without going back and forth to negotiate the price. Beforehand, I compared the selling price with other dealers for a similar vehicle, and true enough, it was priced a $1000 less. That being said, the whole process from filling up the forms to coming up with the monthly payment took less than 30 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to know that my credit qualified for a 14% interest rate. The Finance Manager, Max, explained that they deal with many banks, so they can get the preferential rates for their customers. It has been over a month since I purchased the vehicle and I have no complaints. It has already brought me to Big Bear Mountain for a weekend family vacation, and a fishing trip to Castaic Lake with my buddies. So far so good. I am a happy camper! The next time I would need a quality pre-owned vehicle at reasonable price, I will not hesitate to buy from Karplus Warehouse again. read more

This place had to have been the worse car buying experience EVER! I came in to buy a truck and when I get into the truck I wanted the check engine light was on and the AC wasn't working. I trusted them when they said don't worry we will fix it. 5 days later the check engine light was still on and they kept on giving me try run around. ALSO I came in with a 745 credit score and they tried getting me approved with a 15% interest rate. What a joke when I asked why a gentleman by the name pouria said it's because the vin to that truck doesn't come up so no other bank will take the loan but the bank with the 15% interest rate! I highly recommend everybody to stay AWAY from this place because it's nothing but a big scam and people trying to sell you a junk car with problems. read more
