I like the flat style gyoza since it's pan fried on both sides. Other than that the flavor is standard. This is one of those spots where they hand you a piece of paper and you can customize your order, which is something I'm a fan of. If you're ever confused on what to order or how- the staff does a good job of explaining it. The food was definitely good and if you live close, this is a pretty nice spot to go to. To order, they give you a small slip of paper to customize and order your ramen. I chose the spicy ramen with tonkatsu broth and chashu. It was delicious! The broth is rich, meaty, and so comforting. Came in on a Saturday night and it was consistently busy but had open seating. Located in the corner of target right next to Rances Pizza. Ordered the Chicken Karaage ($6) as an appetizer-very juicy and crispy chicken! It also came with their karaage mayo sauce and sweet and sour sauce. Ordered the Spicy Black Garlic Ramen ($14). Pretty flavorful garlic broth (You can choose Tonkotsu broth, chicken, or both mixed). It comes with chashu pork, an egg, scallions, and wood eared mushrooms. The bowl is pretty big, pretty good portion that will leave you full! I also ordered the Mazemen ($14) mainly to try as it seemed new on their menu. It came with chopped chashu, minced pork, egg, scallions, and seaweed. You can choose regular flavor or curry. Overall I believe this dish was missing more flavor. I gave it a good mix to get all the sauce at the bottom, but it mainly tasted like butter garlic (Very garlicky). I've had the Mazemen at MoguMogu and their sauce had a ton of flavor. I feel that it's missing a miso soy flavor and some chili. The noodles and toppings were tasty, but the sauce was off. Overall pretty decent ramen! I would come back for more black garlic. read more

I have been coming here since COVID and cannot recommend it enough. I have evangelized Kashiwa to any family, friends, and coworkers, who have since done the same. Everything is great here-- each menu item, the service, the Sapporo, Hiro San...making it one of my favorite places to eat full stop. The chicken paitan soup is the gateway drug, but I have found their various mazemen to be my dream menu main. I didn't like the paper slip thingies and the waitress was not friendly, there was no eye contact from either her or the other person who attended to our table. The chicken broth ramen I ordered was too light on the taste in the broth. It just felt watery. I realize my review may be a minority given the overall rating of this place and the recent comments. However, the ramen scene seems to have had a leg up recently and I would not return here with the better choices in town.
