This place has been through multiple changes (names, ownership) over the last several years. Mostly the result has been a bit of a miss for one reason or another. It once again has a new name and, reportedly, new owners. I wanted to check it out. I had a solo lunch of Pad See Ew and the flavors were good. I like a lot of spice, but I'm cautious with the first meal at a new place so I only ordered three stars. It was pretty mild by my standards. Will bump to four next time. They have a spice tray with four options, but the items need refreshing. Service was very friendly, although the waitress did not include the lunch menu when she seated me so I ordered off the dinner menu when I could have had a lunch special Still Kataliya seems to be getting a good start and I'm hopeful they'll be a good option as Kenmore could use a good Thai restaurant. read more

Our new favorite Thai restaurant! Went here tonight with my partner and we got pad see ew, avocado curry, crispy garlic chicken, and mango sticky rice for dessert. The prices were lower than most places we've gone to, the portions were huge, and the taste was amazing! The crispy garlic chicken really blew us away. This has been our go-to Thai spot for the past five years--the food is always amazing. But they recently cut their curry portions nearly in half, and it really caught us off guard. It had been a while since I have eaten at Kataliya Thai House. Last Tuesday night I found out my 90-year-old aunt had fallen and was in the ER. She had been waiting to see doctors and had finally gotten her tests done. It was almost 9pm. She had not eaten. It literally was two minutes from closing and I rushed to the restaurant and asked if they could cook one last order of pad see eew just for my aunt. And they did and sent their best wishes. We were reluctant to try this restaurant because we've seen it change hands a few times and it rarely looks busy. That was a mistake. Their food is really good and service is excellent they are now our go to Thai place. We always have the crab wontons, the kids love them. My husband and I enjoy their Pad Thai. I found myself looking to dine out in Kenmore. Yes, Kenmore Navigating from Eastbound NE Bothell Hwy takes a good eye and a swift left turn. Greeted immediately upon entering the interior is bright, light and spotless. I ordered one of the lunch specials Ginger Angel. Very nice, clean restaurant. We tried it for the first time last week for takeout. We ordered 6 meals for a group of 7 and everything was delicious from the fried rice to the eggplant. Spring rolls were fresh, crispy and not overly greasy. Everyone agreed it's a place to return to. Only drawback is they don't offer soy, or hot sauce etc and so I forgot to ask so we had none. This place has been on my list to try for a few months now! They are a newly renovated and opened local Thai restaurant in Kenmore, right by the starbucks and grocery outlet downtown. The staff was super friendly and polite, quick to refill my water and bring out my food. I ordered the tom kha soup bowl with tofu, with 3 stars spice. It wasn't as spicy as I expected, but it was some of the best tom kha soup I've had! They removed the mushrooms at my request which I appreciated. Also the soup had fried tofu instead of the typical soft, which went really well here. It had a great balance of creamy coconut and tangy like flavors, and the serving size was huge for being $12! I also loved the vegan soup option! For dessert I ordered the mango sticky rice, which is also vegan and really delicious. The rice was warm with the cold mango and sweetened milk, the perfect end to a spicy soup meal. The interior is very clean and well decorated, with lots of natural lighting and plants. Note that this review is 100% based on takeout because I have never dined-in. Our household has ordered two entrees for takeout on multiple occasions since we moved to Kenmore in 2020. On a few occasions we have ordered takeout for larger groups of people, including two kids under 4 years. I think the price point is pretty average for the area (moderate-expensive but quality and quantity is worth it). We can vouch for most of the vegetable-based entrees like prik king (stir-fried green beans) etc. The fried spring rolls with plum sauce, and most of the fried rice and noodle dishes (with veg/tofu) are also very satisfying. I've driven past here a few times and have wanted to check it out mostly because I thought the building was pretty from the outside. The location is kind of tough right off the main road but not hard to get to. I ordered online for takeout and it was ready in about 25 minutes. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and my food was ready to go. Very friendly and warm atmosphere. I got chicken pad Thai which was really great, I love the flavor and it feels like the noodles don't stick together as much as other places. The crispy garlic chicken has incredible flavor and I love the addition of veggies in the sauce. The flavor is tons of garlic and a bit of spice. Such a nice surprise as normally this dish is pretty sweet other places I've gotten it. I was worried about how much liquid was in this dish though. The chicken stayed crispy on my drive home but I don't think the leftovers will manage to stay crisp with all the liquid. The crab Rangoon and spring rolls are just okay. Not the best in the area and the crab rangoons were really light on the filling. I definitely want to come back to try a curry and some other dishes. Another bonus is it's a bit less expensive than others in the area! I'll definitely return but since it's not the most convenient for me to get to it probably won't be my go to spot. read more

So good!! We ordered delivery from Über, took a little over an hour. It was a Friday night. We will definitely be ordering again or dinning in. I got the chicken satay and Crispy Garlic Chicken. Satay had a nice little kick to it and tons of flavor. The Crispy Garlic Chicken omg was amazing!! My only problem with it is the portion size lol wish it was bigger so I had more leftover! I could eat that every day! Fiancé got the Pad Thai that was good too. Everything was fresh and well cooked. My daughter got spring rolls and the Grilled Pork Salad, description is "Sliced grilled marinated pork tossed in fresh herbs and lime dressing. Served with mixed fresh romaine lettuce and cucumber." Well, another inconspicuous place that packs flavor and deliciousness onto a plate of food. My kid and his wife introduced this local to them Thai restaurant to me and I have insisted we go back here next time I visit them. I had my old regular of fresh rolls and red curry. The fresh rolls were standard....made with crisp ingredients and fresh shrimp but the highlight was the peanut sauce. So flavorful! I definitely wanted more of that. The red curry was also delicious. Next time, I want to try the pineapple red curry. My son (I should have asked him what he had) forked over a mushroom from his plate. It was swimming in garlic and equally delicious to my plate of food. My mouth is watering even as I write this. The restaurant is small and unassuming but the wait staff gets plates out quickly. We were there on a Sunday night and the place was packed. Can't wait to go back. Definitely a good reason to visit my son and daughter-in-law more often! read more

It foreshadows the many plants inside the restaurant scattered on each table (not for sale). The fresh spring rolls looked and tasted like the greens were plucked fresh from a garden. The wait staff was super nice and offered recommendations, which we followed and were super happy with. We got crispy garlic chicken and golden noodles.
