I ordered two falafel sandwiches and they initially offered to email or text me the receipt, and I had to request that they write it out for me. I was glad I did. While waiting for the food, looked at the reciept and noticed the total looked a little high. I calculated the tax to confirm my suspicions, and it was higher than it should have been. I asked the cashier about it and she said that the menu prices were wrong. I asked if they hadn't thought of mentioning that before charging me and got a blank stare. I asked for my money back, and it was given. I left. I think this is a very deceiteful and dishonest way to do business. Why not just mark the right price on the menu, or at least warn people verbally before taking their money? I'll bet it is because 99% of people don't notice. Cons: Not in a Hurry to Serve the Customer. Takes their time to complete an order. The place CAN be crowded at lunchtime, so you are taking your chances. Not a True Deli, more like a sandwich shop. I had a turkey/swiss sandwich and it was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I ordered a footlong and it came out to just about $10. It was really big though, it seemed bigger than a foot. But it was a pretty run-of-the-mill sandwich I thought, nothing extremely special that would have me hankering for this sandwich in the near future. They seemed pretty busy with the college crowd at lunchtime that doesn't give much thought to their next meal but just want something edible for cheap. When I lived in chico Literally would eat here at least once a week so they knew me by name lol Combo #2 was definitely the best deal! I would switch it up to get half chicken half beef sometimes. Their egg rolls and special egg roll sauce is amazing to say the least. After eating there 3 years I would never get tired of it. Their chicken pho was perfect on cold days or when I had a cold. The Employees are great, as with any place make conversation and they'll love you! Mostly I would do to go but I loved the atmosphere of the place. They painted a mural in it about a year or so ago and it's just a good family oriented place. They had a cool stamp sticker when you get 10 entrees you get a deal (don't remember the specific details) 20 and you get a Tshirt. The pancakes from this joint are really good-so are the biscuits and gravy. But, I ordered an omlet (for almost $8) and it was the weakest omlet I have ever seen! Kathy's deli back when I was in college specialized in cheesesteaks. They were uniquely awesome and were much different than my latest experience with Kathy's deli. I didn't realize that Kathy's must've changed owners or something because the cheesesteak that I had today was not like the old days. To be honest, my steak tasted like spicy Asian sauce was on the grill before the meat was cooked (just an assumption). I've been coming here for a while now, and it's always for the khao piek. Whenever I am feeling homesick or just want a delicious noodle soup alternative to pho, I come here. I haven't tried their pho yet just because I always find myself going back to the khao piek, but I have heard it's delicious as well. My roommate eats the breakfast burrito they have there and they absolutely love it, and has continuously said that it's the best breakfast burrito they've ever had. The Khao Piek Sien is such a good home made soup. It is similar to pho but has thicker noodles which makes the broth a tiny bit thicker.

Yummy yum yum cheese steaks!! Just as good as the ones I have had in Philly! I love Kathys, the owner always seems to be there and he is so awesome about making your sandwich exactly how you want it. Menu is kind of all over the place: You can get Vietnamese Pho, Japanese Teriyaki, Mediterranean, or a variety of sandwiches. They have the best pho in Chico (not a lot of competition there), with a twist on the dish: the broth had a strong garlic presence. The combo 2 Teriyaki chicken with fried rolls is a solid choice. The falafel wrap is tasty, they put french fries in it and the actual falafel balls are high quality. The sandwiches are slightly above average, nothing to really rave about. If you cant decide on somewhere to go with a friend, I recommend hitting Kathy's up because there is something for everyone!! read more
