Food is mediocre. The lady Jaime? Jamie? Is an absolute beast. She is not pleasant at all. How she is allowed to represent the company is beyond me. What really killed me though, on my last visit the woman who normally makes the deliveries was straightening up the place and I saw her open the case for the drinks and literally take a napkin, wet it on her tongue and clean a spot on the shelf. HOLY CRAP. If you can see these things in plain sight, lord knows what goes on in the back. They are also very inconsistent in their food prep. If you get an egg platter one day you will get a huge portion of the home fries and the next day you will get a minuscule amount and they will be flavorless and crunchy. Yummo. Chicken salad melt is the jam. Breakfast bagel with ham/egg/cheese also hits the spot. Hit this place up 3 times while visiting the area. Lengthy line every time. You can call and order ahead to avoid line if you prefer. Coffee is a crap shoot on taste but food is good and staff is very friendly. They should try for some better organization as far as the ordering line and pick up line go though. They'd avoid a lot of confused customers asking one another what's happening. read more

Best Deli in Hampton Bays, hands down, great sandwiches, cool staff and a line out the door for breakfast! The new owner Alan had a lifetime of deli experience and it shows. Glad I decided to try out Katrinkas (honestly the name piqued my interest). This place is a delicious country deli nestled along montauk hwy. in the Hamptons. The staff was very friendly and the owner (I think his name is Al) seems like a real genuine guy. I was in the mood for breakfast and one of the girls recommended the French toast. Normally I would never order something like this the first time I try out a new place...it happened to be a great choice. Light but filling, and I love when places use powdered sugar. I wish they would have a larger eat-in area...as there are just a handful of tables in the front. Nevertheless it's a solid deli that I'll def be going back to. read more

Wow this place is perfect. Classic deli food, nice atmosphere, great chip/ soda selection. Their "chicken fantastic" is a thing of beauty - it's so simple yet beyond delicious: chicken cutlet, melted mozz, onions, bacon and mayo on a roll. I've also had their honey avocado chicken salad and it's likewise delicious. Having lived on the East End for 31 years, I can honestly say this place has THE BEST muffins ever - homemade and nomilicious. Very nice owners and staff too. I really dont get when people complain about rudeness - perhaps look in the mirror? All these local, family owned business are an absolute pleasure to frequent and chat it up with the staff. Get your coffee here.. not every place out here has good coffee... they do.. You must try the breakfast burrito... with salsa, eggs, potatos, bacon.. SINFUL. This was once my go to deli. Food is great. But this season, the counter staff were (and are) so rude and unwelcoming that I will probably never go back. Not only that, but the prices on the board are not the actual prices they charge you. I asked for a PLASTIC knife and was questioned why I needed it. was accused of stealing a chocolate milk when the staffer rang me up herself. Me and my friend just came from the beach looking at the sunrise. We were hungry after wards and we went to Katrinka's Deli and we never been here before. We looked at the menu for a good 3 minutes and the guy looking age 80 said do you know what you want. Started to curse us out and calling us gangster for having a hoodie up. And he said "I'll have you locked up and call the cops" we were there for 5 minutes and we got kicked out. I should have learned the first time. Gave it another chance. hey they're local, why not? here's why not. Wife buys two breakfast sandwiches. Bites into hers, and finds WHAT SHE BELIEVES TO BE A BUG. (Let me clarify that she truly believed it, so whether it was or wasn't isn't my point). Brings it back. Doesn't want to make scene in front of customers (which is more then I would of done, but hey, she's a better person than me). The worker brings her in the kitchen and picks thru her sandwich, and tells her it isn't a bug. (BTW: I have no scientific training,but the seven pictures I took of it that I am fowarding to the board of health sure looks like a prop for a Jeff Goldbloom movie in my eyes). After picking thru the sandwich, bare handed, the worker asks her if she wants it back (seriously?). My wife, being the unreasonable person she is, says no, and wants her money back. The worker tells her she can't because she took a bite of the sandwich. It is only after my wife got her Gunea up (Hey I am scared to death of her!!) and threatened to let every customer have a look that her money was refunded. So lesson finally learned DO NOT GET FOOD AT KATRINKA'S. they could care less about you. read more

Hey Katrinka's - here's an idea - stop advertising gluten-free products if you NEVER keep these products in stock. Also, if a customer should happen to ask if you have a gluten-free product in stock (which shouldn't even be a question, since you claim to have that item according to the big old sign posted in your establishment), your staff's response shouldn't be a sarcastic "Nope, but we have bread." Very Clean excellent service! Great fast breakfast. Service is fast and food was fresh. There is some seating and TV so you can catch the news. They have very yummy homemade muffins and baked goods. Totally suggest stopping in for breakfast or lunch . read more

I heard the place has a new owner - they suck at building sandwiches now. proportionally incorrect and built shoved into the corner of the hero out, rather from the bottom bread up--- like they really don't care. I went four times in the last month, hoping to get a decent sandwich - because ive been coming here for so long and didnt want to believe that it was the place that started to not be good. each time i recieved a sandwich so devoid of goodness, that i had to finally write a bad review. Horrible. $8 for a ham and cheese sandwich. The ham looked like it had been sliced and sitting out for days. The edges were turning brown and had that dried out look. When you go to a deli to get a sandwich. You want a deli style sandwich. With sliced meat. not a sandwich with chopped meat. The turkey was all chopped up and just piled in the middle of a sandwich. Well where do I start? It was the best deli in town when Al owned it. I was a regular and I would recommend it to everyone I knew. Then it was sold and the food went down hill fast! I gave it some time and thought they had to work out the bugs, I was trying to be optimistic. Now I consistently get crap. Not that it's not edible if you like below average food that equals Mc Donald's. Most of the ingredients are ok it's just that it's slopped together and most of the staff is incompetent to make a sandwich. If you do go there wait to be helped by Sean he is the only one who cares. Today was the last day I'll be going there. I got a Blt on a roll with a little ranch on it. Since they screw up my egg sandwich most days. Well the girl couldn't even listen to my order and she was walking away. So all she heard was ranch. When i got it it was soaked with ranch and the tomatoes were so passed ripe the were mush like baby food. It was enough ranch for a small salad. Hope you like fried eggs because most of the time when I ask for scramble eggs in morning there fried or scrambled on the grill. When that happens there are just chunks of yoke in the egg whites. I go here occasionally. The people who run this place are unwelcoming when you stand on line. The people who run the place usually have a puss on their face when they ask for your order. The food is average and the only highlight is the parking which is usually good. read more

I work in Hampton bays in the food industry and my boss would fire me if I treated customers in the manner they treat their customers. They are extremely rude and always have a attitude and it's a extremely deterring. The food Is mediocre at best and always gives me the shits. Who ever runs this place should replace the entire staff. Every single person working there always has an attitude. They might as well tell you to leave and eat shit when you walk in the door because thats what all their faces say. Cant say ill be wasting another penny in that place. I went to Katrinkas with my friends to order a simple "Breakfast Bullet" which they are well known for. The staff was extremely rude specifically this one woman who gave me a death stare as i handed her change. She slammed the change into the cash register AFTER of course taking the guy's order behind me. One other time I went, I went and sat down in the place and was eating when one of the workers made me move my things and get up so she could clean there! I never believed in yelp and always thought the app was a waste of time but experiencing this kind of service over and over has never made me so motivated to write a review. The new owner will run this place into the ground or hopefully sell so it is under better management. I honestly think they pride themselves in being rude to the customers. Besides the pathetic customer service, the food is deli food, literally nothing special about it. The only reason it's busier than other HB Delis is because the location is easy to get to on the way to the beach and just easier parking compared to Main Street delis in town.
