Two of three service appointments that were scheduled beforehand have me waiting 2 to 2.5 hours. For a routine oil change! The staff told me it really doesn't matter if I have an appointment, it's first come first serve. That doesn't work for my busy lifestyle. I took the time to go in person to complain to Charley at the main service station and he reiterated first come first serve and to try coming on a different day when it's not so busy. Even though I paid for oil changes for life up front, I'd rather pay someone else extra to service my vehicle. How to easily lose tons of customers and lose tons of business: Refuse to honor an incentive that led me to purchase my Honda! When I bought it I was promised free oil changes for life with no fine print. Now the owners have changed and they refuse to honor it. What's really funny is how they then said "We usually charge $85 for an oil change, but since you're a loyal customer, we'll bring it down to $55." Neither of those prices are acceptable. An hour later they told me they don't have master key for tire locks at their dealership. They will check other dealerships. After three hours they gave up. When I get there the sales guy did not come out and had some one else tell me the 2 vehicles were sold. Went into Katy Honda cars for a few issues on my 2017 Honda CPO vehicle and was pleasantly surprised! PROS: Timely response, very quick check in process Since it was initially estimated it would take a some time I was quickly issued a loaner car with a full tank of gas. My initial items were fixed, PLUS the diagnosed a 'phantom' noise that two other Honda shop's missed or stated was 'normal' these guys realized your car should not make noise at idle found the root cause and fixed it! While my vehicle was out they took it upon themselves to check for other items and found two oxygen sensors were out fixed them, which I had no idea was an issue. A few days later all items were fixed, tires were recharged with Nitro and the car was washed! I was given a few courtesy update calls through the process. Even when I picked up my truck with another service writer, he was courtesy and answered a last minute question. "Junior" was my service writer but I noticed they were all great and this team will by my go to place for my Honda! Cons: None, thus it was 5 ***** for me! read more

Purchased a 2019 Honda CR-V on 1/20/23, by 2/7/23, the A/C had quit working. I returned the car to the dealership and they determined that the compressor was out. Luckily I had purchased the bumper to bumper extended warranty, however, when the claim was presented to them, they denied it, stating that Honda should be responsible for selling me a car that was more than likely already broken. Honda Cars of Katy has had my car for 2 weeks now with no resolution. The dealership doesn't want to pay for repairs and the extended warranty doesn't want to pay for repairs. They do not answer or return phone calls. If I want to speak with anyone, I have to physically go up there and speak to someone in person. What kind of customer service is this? My husband and I recently moved from the DFW area and were referred to this Honda dealer from our old one in Frisco, TX for future maintenance and service for my Honda. Karl Kraig was our service advisor and we have never felt SO taken care of by another service advisor before, like Karl. He is always so responsive, extra communicative, explains perfectly what is being done to the vehicle, and genuinely cares about his clients. He is also a loyal employee and has been with Honda of Katy for quite some while, which can really tell someone the character of whom they're working with. I bought my first Honda from them and I guess I was lucky that car did not give us any problems so far. Then we went back few months later as a loyal customer and bought the second car.This time everything had changed. I had to take the car to service Almost every 2-3weeks.The car had accident history and we were not told at the beginning( the other dealer told us when we traded in this car). We were convinced to buy lots of extra services, but it's so hard to get them cancelled and get the refund. People are always not reachable via phone calls. I had to walk in 2 times in person to be able to talk to someone. Unfortunately, I did not see any patience for a customer with some questions( because I am not spending money this time). I recently went to get my car serviced worked on, i went to the express to get an oil change && tire rotation, everything was nice and the advisors took well care of me and the service was pretty speedy, everything was going well planned UNTIL I checked out... now I don't know who hired Hannah but let me tell y'all something real quick, she is the worst person to work at a cash register, all she did was have her AirPods in the whole time while talking to me && watch a Netflix series as she was "checking me out" && don't even get me started on her ugly attitude after I asked her politely to take her AirPods off, she then RUDELY declined and I just can't see how someone would hire someone so unprofessional. She was very transparent, and the two of them worked hard to earn my business. My experience with F & I was a continuation of that excellence. The F & I Manager, Amanda, and her trainee were both great. They kept us engaged and showed genuine interest in our son. My first interaction with this dealership had its speed bumps, but the staff went above and beyond to rectify the situation. AVOID HONDA CARS OF KATY LIKE THE PLAGUE! I have serviced my honda pilot there for years, but the ownership change has made this place extremely bad. Went in for an AC problem, and the next thing they tellme is that power steering gearbox is critical and needs to be replaced for 2K. During that repair they say the power steering pump needs to be replaced and other new repairs. now I am up to $5,500 in repair charges and the car is still not ready after two weeks there. It is my belief they either are incompetent or fraudulent. In either case, they will not work with you or take any responsibility for their own fault in causing problems. Still don't have car back. Avoid this place. They will overcharge you for any service, and in my opinion find things to repair that don't need to be repaired. Avoid this place unless you want to ripped off. read more

I would give my sales rep, Simon a 5 star. He was fantastic. He was responsive and fun to work with. Had it not been for the finance manager, Javier Balderas this would have been a star car buying experience. First of all, I felt overly rushed and he actually told me had a baseball game to be at so he needed to "get this deal done as soon as possible". As a customer and someone who works in sales and customer service this is extremely rude and unnecessary. Your personal issues or schedules are none of my concern when I am making a car purchase. I had questions about warranty and was asked if he could provide an outline or pamphlet of what the extended warranty covered. He was unable to provide this and said it would be given after everything is signed. I'm sorry but HOW THE HELL does a national company NOT have information to provide their customers, unheard of. This dealership is either running scams or ill prepared or too cheap to provide legit information to its customers. He stopped while I the customer was sitting in front of him to make a personal phone call. After his phone call to tell someone he would be running late and not able to complete his list of errands, they came to pick up keys from him to take care of his personal items. AGAIN HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I mean seriously, you should have excused yourself and handled your business away from ME the CUSTOMER. I could sense and that he was highly irritated because I continued to ask questions about the warranty and what is covered and could not understand why they would not have information for me to read over so I could decide what options work best for me. I got to the point of telling him that I could see he really needs to be elsewhere than we me the customer and that I could take my business elsewhere or I asked if he could have someone else work with me because clearly he did not want to tale the time I needed to understand what I was purchasing. He also did not provide all the information I needed on the USB pertaining to the warranty items I purchased in a bundle as he said he would. I stopped by 4-28-2023 and look at a car that my daughter was interested in, we walked away. they had a car for sale on their website and they added a charge of: Dealer Reconditioning for $1995! I guess that can do this and remove it to make it seem that their helping the buyer. Never accept things like this guys. cars are overpriced since Covid, the buyers should not be penalized for this. They also didnt lower their price. They told us that that price is not negotiable. Wow, not willing to help buyer again. . I got a pre-approval from my bank, but my bank was not able to email me any of the information on the spot. My bank told me to have the financing team at the dealership run my credit with them to pull up what my offer is. I always walk into a dealership with a pre-approval, but my bank told me that the finance team could do that for me while I was there. Ok, no problem. I already knew which car I wanted. Test drove it, and went to financing. I came in like an hour before they closed, so I knew everyone was ready to go, including myself. The financing team ran my credit, and the finance manager I worked with was Javier. He told me with my low credit score that I did not qualify anywhere else. I mentioned my bank, but he said that Honda would offer the better rate. Maybe they usually do, but this time this was not the case. Javier told me that I did not have any other options, and that I needed to put down at least $6000 to qualify for the Honda finance loan if I wanted a car that night. Then he questioned me by stating, "Let me guess, you only have half of that (half the down payment he is requesting from me)"? I should have listened to my gut, and realized that he did not have my interest as a customer at heart. He was trying to make a deal, close out, and go home. He even said, "There goes my goal of getting out of here by 10pm." I was an idiot, and did the down payment, signed the loan thinking this is my only option like he said. I thought Javier ran my credit with at least my bank or another bureau to make sure I got a good deal. Nope. I have in recording from not only his colleague, but the New Cars sales manager whom I spoke to the very next night that he did not try to find a better deal. He just pushed Honda financing only. I got an email from my bank with all of my pre-approval information the very next morning, so I went up there hoping they would rectify the situation for me. Malek, another financing officer tried to be helpful, but lied that there was no managers there for me to speak to. Javier finished helping his customer and came out to speak with me and my husband. He told us his hands were tied and gave me some info on how to refinance with a credit union instead. He said none of the managers would be able to help us. We could try to talk to them, but it's not going to do us any good. We found out that there was a manager there unlike what Malek had told us. We spoke to Jose the New Sales Manager, and he was understanding. He agreed that we were not getting the best deal, and that he would do his best to work things out for us. He promised to call me back around noon today, so hopefully he will have good news. Once we were in the parking lot, we realized that my husband's vehicle needed a jump. An employee there at the dealership (I did not catch his name) came out to help my husband jump the car. He was so helpful and seriously was the ray of sunshine to a really bad two days worth of nightmares that I went through. I hope he reads this and knows that we really appreciated him being the angel he is. He went above and beyond for strangers, and noted that he wouldn't have left us stranded. After this experience, I have decided to report the company to the consumer financial protection bureau. I don't want anyone else to get scammed into having to finance for a higher rate because their financial officer did not do his due diligence to make sure he was taking care of his customers. I don't want someone to make the mistake I made by believing their financial officer when he tells them that the only option was to finance through them. Shame on him for lying. If you have excellent credit then you should be okay. Fair and poor credit, bring a pre-approval. Honestly though, don't do business with them unless you have no other options, and you are prepared to get screwed over. read more

This dealership will lie to your face. They told me I needed brake pads for our van and I had already done the brakes myself a few months earlier. They are not interested in assisting customers but instead separating you from your money for things that are not needed at all. Plus now they do not honor the warranty that we paid extra for on the vehicle we purchased new from them. I do not understand how this dealership is allowed to operate. You have now been forewarned! READ BEFORE YOU THINK OF USING THEIR SERVICES Dropped my car to check some sound coming from windshield, they fixed some duct tape on the paint outside, paint went off, picked up the car, no courtesy to tell me about it. I went in the following day, they just acted this never happened while in the car with them. Luckily, I have a video they shared already of their tech explaining the issue and showed the duct tape on the paint spot. I raised the point, their response is not their fault since your paint is bad (my response is your tech should haven't applied tape on bad paint). Now it is back and forth, finally after a couple of days it's been to the body shop, and now I get nothing but: we don't know how long it takes kind of responses, or the advisor is off today, and he is the only one can check for since each advisor have their own customers, or leave a message, and we will call you back.. thing! DISHONEST DEALERSHIP!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! My father-in-law had been in communications (texts and emails) with a salesperson at this dealership for a couple weeks trying to purchase a new Honda Civic. They had agreed upon a price (via text, so we have written proof that the salesman stated management agreed to the price), so my FIL made a 30+ min drive out to the dealership to sign for the car and complete the purchase. Upon arriving, the salesman said that the management actually didn't approve the agreed upon price and that he would have to pay more (more than a grand more, actually). My FIL did not fall for this obvious scam so he said he was leaving and walked right back out. The salespeople didn't really even bother trying to call after him or get him back to negotiate any more. So...he just left. I'm inclined to think that the dealership was banking on him having made the drive already to cave and thus pay the higher price, which is so not okay. You can't just lie to your customers like this. All in all, my FIL probably wasted almost 2 hours of time. Seriously, don't bother coming to this place that doesn't respect people's time or honor their word. Last time I came here for an oil change, it took 2.5 hours. But get this - I get home and the return mileage sticker was not updated, my meter was not reset, and my oil didn't look filthy but it was far from a good color! I ended up having to go to a location in Cinco to get it done again later that day so I didn't have to worry about damaging my engine in case they actually didn't change the oil. For those of you considering getting the lifetime oil change card, please reconsider. Don't know if anything has changed but my card says oil must be 15% oil life or below for you to get the service at that particular location only. So only get it if you don't plan on moving far for a good portion of the car's life. I'd like to also complain about what a displeasure it has been driving my 2010 Honda Civic is. It used to be my mom's when she bought it new off the line back in 2010 and gave to me. 3 years after purchase, the paint started to peel. What started as negligible now looks like my car is diseased. Now in 2015, the entire roof and trunk is basically bare of paint. It's incredibly embarrassing to drive. No, it's not severe weather conditions because there is shaded parking at work and at home. Also in 2013, The drivers lock cylinder started to give away to the point where my key will not go in. My radio also has me "enter code" every time it dies, so keep the VIN # handy. read more

Don't waste your time. I made a 9:30 am appointment on Thursday to get the LED light replaced that's under warranty. They called me an Uber to take me home, kept my car all day and the next day I started calling to check on it after lunch. I got transferred about 5 times to leave a message. called again and again, leaving messages, no response. I was then told my service agent wouldn't be back until next Friday! I just laughed and asked for the service manager...went straight to voice mail. No response. my husband then calls on his phone and finally gets a person, so I jumped on the line and said I am coming to get my car. The person said we can get it done tomorrow (Saturday). I told him you're saying it takes 3 days to replace an LED light? He just kept saying they are behind. Needless to say, I picked up my car within the hour and won't be doing business there again. When a sales person text and asked if I wanted a trade in value on my car, I laughed and said I am done doing business with them. Terrible service. Zero communication. read more
