Overcooked bacon strips. One way worse than the other. Can't believe they even serve this.

Very basic and overpriced. I called in to ask what the wait was like for 3 people. Was told 5 minutes. We got there in 5 minutes and it was packed. And they offered outside or wait 20 minutes. We reluctantly decided outside and it was so cold even while under the heater. Ordered and got our food. My bacon was overcooked and inedible. I informed the server and he offered me fresh bacon strips. I accepted and they came out hot and cooked well. Just too salty. My eggs were ordered over medium and it came out very runny over easy. The service was meh... Oh! And make sure you have cash on-hand as this is a cash-only business. A few tables sat down and left after they read that disclaimer on the menu.

Little tucked away place, quiet location not to hectic in that area. Restaurant is little small, old and crowded inside. We ate outside which is small but was nice and peaceful and had the propane heater on. The food is good with good portions. I got the Kauai combo, the pancakes are huge and fluffy made with banana so had a really good flavor and the eggs had pineapple inside which i thought was a really good combo! Mango sausage was tasty, everything was paired well. Orange juice is really good and fresh tasting. The country potatoes could use more flavor. Decent prices, i'd say average for the area. Service was just okay, not too friendly or attentive. Didn't receive our bill so my husband got up and went to the register himself to get the bill and pay. *cash only*

The food was good (well I liked my my food, my fiancé did not like his). Unfortunately our server couldn't care less about being friendly or just a decent server. I think that tainted our experience and probably our enjoyment of the meal.

Corned Beef Hash 'n Eggs - Housemade Prepared with fresh red potatoes, mushrooms, onions, parsley & lean housemade corned beef brisket

Been hearing about this place for so long but tried it for the first time today. We were so happy with what we got! We dined at 10:30 am on a sunday, place was not packed. Corned beef - great taste, far from the canned ones, huge portion good for 2 people; the asian in me wished there was rice to go with this lol Kauai - fruity flavors complemented well, panckaes were really thick, resembling more like a banana bread honestly but really good as well as the sausage For drinks dont miss out on the fresh pressed apple juice. It was so delicous and nice drink to cut the greasiness of the corned beef. Everything was on point, food and service. Can't wait to be back. Also cash only!

Not bad! A popular spot in Carmel, we were lucky enough to get seated immediately (by the time we left there was a wait). I believe they are most known for their eggs Benedict's (they have a ton of variety) but my husband and I aren't fans so we ordered other items. I ordered the Kauai Combo - I did enjoy the pancakes. The pineapples in the eggs were interesting but not my favorite. My husband ordered the corned beef hash n eggs which were fine. Giving it a 3/5 overall because the food was just fine - though portions are large, service was okay and the space was a bit cramped. I wouldn't avoid it but I wouldn't seek it out.

It's a solid no frills breakfast joint. Food quality was good and service was decent. Pancakes are so simple but a lot of places are a let down, but the pancakes here were spot on!

What a hidden gem in beautiful Carmel by the sea. My friend and I arrived right at opening, we received the menus and had our drink order taken quickly. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette with a side of sourdough toast. The omelette was cooked perfectly, it was fluffy with the perfect amount of ham and cheese. The toast was toasted a little too much and the pieces were small. I normally have extra bread when I have breakfast, here I actually wish I had more. The menu is full with options, the only reason I didn't give five stars was because we go offered more water right before asking for the check, I could have used more water before. I will be back for sure to give them a second chance and try something else in the menu

Katy's is a super tucked away little restaurant! Perfect for morning breakfast or brunch. Incredible service, all of the staff was so kind and we were seated immediately. (We came on a Sunday morning about 11am) Portion sizes are great, homemade juices and fluffiest waffles I've ever had. Feels like you're eating breakfast at grandmas house but in the best way! Check it out if you're in the area. But bring CASH. They are CASH only :)

Katy's Place in Carmel offers a cozy breakfast spot with friendly, attentive service. The New York Benedict was a standout--perfectly cooked and packed with flavor--while the Carmel Joe's Special was just okay. There's plenty of seating, but the tables are packed in tight, so expect a bit of a squeeze. Overall, a great spot for a satisfying breakfast. They are cash only though!

The lobster benedict was very good and tasted fresh. It's a cozy spot right in Carmel-by-the-Sea, with a great atmosphere for breakfast. We enjoyed everything about our visit and will definitely be going back. This will be our go-to breakfast place on our next trip to California.

Do they still have gluten-free pancakes or gluten-free waffles?

Why do you put this as dog friendly ? That sounds like false advertisement?

Their website states "Dog Policy: service dogs only." So this is not dog friendly unless your dog is a service dog.

Extremely disappointing experience at Mission Ranch…read more We were genuinely looking forward to eating at Mission Ranch while visiting Carmel, but the way we were treated completely ruined the experience. We arrived with our child and were told the wait would be about an hour and a half. We understood that the restaurant was busy, so we decided to wait. Two hours later, we still hadn't been seated. What made the situation especially frustrating was watching the woman at the front seat people who had arrived after us, while repeatedly seeming to look us over and pass us by. After waiting well beyond the time we'd been quoted, with no meaningful explanation or acknowledgment, we'd had enough. We left. A long wait at a popular restaurant is understandable. What isn't understandable is giving guests a 90-minute estimate, leaving them waiting for two hours, seating later arrivals ahead of them, and failing to communicate what is happening. For a place with Mission Ranch's reputation, location, and prices, I expected a much higher level of hospitality and professionalism. Instead, we walked away feeling ignored and unwelcome. We never even got the opportunity to find out whether the food was good, because the front-of-house experience was bad enough that we weren't willing to give them any more of our time. Two hours wasted in Carmel. There are far too many wonderful restaurants in the area to spend an evening waiting around somewhere that doesn't seem particularly concerned whether you're there or not.

When my +1 and I walked up on Monday morning, we signed their wait list about half a page full. Already aware of the possible of wait, I asked another couple up front if they had waited long. They told me (to my horror) for an hour. Fortunately, we arrived after the breakfast rush wave (about 10:30am) and were seated after waiting for about 10-15 minutes. We were seated at the back room which was nice. It was a little bit more quieter compared to the front room. It was well decorated to look like a quaint cottage. What stuck my attention was the lovely mural on its walls with pinches of humor. Hostess and waiters were friendly and service was very quick. We were in and out of the restaurant in 30 minutes from being seated to the bill. We picked the ye old breakfast with choice of sausage and a ye old sweet with sausage as well. The food was delicious. I also ordered a coffee and my mug was never empty during the meal. Would definitely recommend this to anyone going to Carmel.
